I'm here with Charlotte Abel and Melissa Abel, and we're talking about Law of Attraction. This is the second episode that we're talking about it, but I thought it might be good to take a little bit of a step back and kind of give a recap of what we talked about last time. And I would, ask you Melissa what is law of attraction and why should we care about it? So basically it's we should care about it because we're under its effect all the time, 24 seven, just like the law of gravity. it's with us and so why not use it and align with it and direct it consciously create life on your terms. So we're all, we should all have a vested interest just because it's, it's like when you get the hang of it. it feels like magic and it's fun. But basically it comes down to whatever you give your thoughts, focus and energy to will expand. So in a nutshell if you have good thoughts and emotions, you're going to desired outcomes are on the way. If you have bad, negative emotions, unwanted outcomes are on the way. And so it always comes down to what are you focused on, what you want, Or what you don't want. And that's really in a nutshell a good way to talk about Law of Attraction. Because whatever way you think, that's what's going to happen. Yes. Thoughts really do become things, you know. And I was just thinking about everything in this world started with someone's thought. And it was like a non resistant kind of thought because here we are living in this technological amazing age and it's all around us, so everything that we see and experience and have and it's because someone once had this desire, I want to create this. So if you think about it, that's what we are. We're creators here. Yes. Yes. And you may hear on this recording Gussie, the parakeet who sometimes will comment on our on what we're talking about. And if you do. Well, don't worry about it. Charlotte in our last episode, we talked about Abraham Hicks, which is Esther Hicks channeling a group of of Perhaps souls on the other side and giving advice. But there are some other really good channelers and Charlotte, I think you had mentioned that there's Lee Carroll is all, is another good channeler. Could you tell us about that a little bit? Right. He channels a being cry on. K R Y O N, and the clan came in to work with Lee Carroll as the channel for higher information back in 1989, and they have a series of books. They have internet website. It's really gotten to be a big thing. And the, cryon information flows with the law of attraction because that is what runs the world really. And the information that he gives ties in with everything else. And it's like I just gravitate to that. And there are many others, like we were talking about the latest book by Mike Dooley It's called The Great Awakening. And there are like five different channels who you know, give their information about what's going on now. And we're all seeing the same thing. So whatever gravitate to, that's, will resonate in with you and with your Vibration, put it that way. So as long as you're involved in learning and getting the information, and using it. But the Law of Attraction with Abraham is like, to me, is like one of the easiest and it's the funnest. Because when you listen to their YouTubes or whatever, it's like different people that come up and they have their different questions. And it's so funny to hear well, A dumb question and everybody in the audience would laugh at it, like, oh, here we go again, you know, because it's different when it's your life and you can't really see until you speak it to like someone else and then they can. Hear it and give you more information to help you figure out what you want to go with it. But the Law of Attraction with Abraham, I think, is like the starting ground. And then, because I've been with Kryon for so long, I really resonate to that. There are many other people that have begun channeling. And, you know, it's just like, all of a sudden, they don't want to do it. That's not in their life. They're never going to do it. And the next thing you know, they're busy doing it. So, and when we did the workshops with Master Alignment, we channeled that information too. So, it was just, so you, you yourself have, have channeled. Oh yeah, I have a lot of friends that channel and it's not something that I do overtly anymore. It's like, I just figure, the information comes in and when it's really positive, good information, helpful, and when it's not. I feel like. Charlie just touched on something that's huge. That is the basis of the whole law of attraction. If you think about energy, it's always about how you feel. So the reason when I first started listening to Abraham Hicks, I felt Such resonance. I mean my heart did a little jig. I felt so spirited I just felt the truth of it for me. Other people would resonate to something else So when we're talking about law of attraction, you have to know that at the base Foundational level it's always about how you feel has nothing to do with the words you say It's how are you really feeling and that is the vibration the frequency that you're admitting and that That is what is bringing what comes back to you or what is in your experience. So that's huge., so if anyone wants to follow up they've got Abraham Hicks, they've got Lee Carroll channeling a group of spirits cry on we've got the great awakening by Mike Dooley, D O O L E Y. And that is available as an audio book. I listened to another audio book with Mike Dooley and it was really excellent. And so I look forward to listening to that as well. And I, I really appreciate you guys because you're a great source of information. And I can't always digest it all, but I, I'm trying. And one thing before we get into the, the meat of, of today's episode, I just want to say that. I'm so honored to be sitting here with the two of you who pass information from guides and from the other side on to other people. You don't think anything of it, you just do it. But to me, it's not only are you wise humans, you are also Passing along the wisdom of source so thank you, thank you, thank you for that. Oh, you're welcome. Really, it's, it's awesome. You know, we, we just live it. I guess that's it's just like, oh, that's the way it is. Love it. Certainly. We guard it and respect it and, and cup it in our hands as our sacred service. And truly it is an honor and it's a joy to be the conduit for messages from one's soul guides, spirits, loved ones. I mean, it truly is an honor and a privilege. Well, thank you for doing it. And this, this episode we're going to move into now is about demystifying the law of attraction. And Melissa, I'm going to ask you about that. Perfect. So if anyone remembers the movie, The Secret, you know, back in the day, I think it was Rhonda Byrne that coordinated that. And that's when we first met Dr. Joe Dispenza and so many of the creators and the wise ones of our time. In fact, Joe Dispenza's work, he's not channeling it. He's teaching it. I mean, he's actually like living and breathing and having you. be and do law of attraction. So shout out to all of those wise ones. But the movie, The Secret, in today's vernacular, it went viral. I mean, there was a movement. Everybody was talking about it. And I loved it. And at the same time, I think we all sensed and felt, there's something missing here. Because to me, the focus of that was on, I will write this down. This is what I want. I'll say these affirmations. I'm going to think about this and then it will be mine. And it had nothing much to do with the feeling, the vibration, the magnetism, what are you really focused on in your everyday life? Like how are you rolling through life? And that's what's going to. Minimize the resistance so that this flow can come to you. So I felt like that was an amazing step. and to me, that was also part of why I poo pooed law of attraction because it's like, Oh yeah, right. If that could have happened. I would have done that, you know, 20 years ago, if I could believe it in, you know, believe it before you see it. It's like, yeah, right. I was totally not informed about what law of attraction really is about. There's a little bit of a, it's too good to be true in that and, anybody who's lived a little bit of time. has been fooled by it's too good to be true and then once fooled then you're like very hesitant to go down that road you better believe it i've been burned by that before and i'm not going there so what's the difference then of what you came to learn about law of attraction wow it's just so huge like to me the difference is it's at the base of it How are you feeling? You know, they always talk about be willing to care about how you feel. So if you're feeling good and frisky and playful about life, and you're generally pretty happy and you're in the right now with that energy, you know that good things are on the way. You absolutely know it because they do come and they do flow so it is about To me, it's like, oh, I am this big energy ball and whatever I'm focused on and by and large on balance. How am I rolling? How am I feeling? What am I focused on? Then that leads to more of the same and more of the same and more of the same. And you can also always know because we're human. There's certain days that go off the rails and you know it right away and it just keeps getting worse and worse. So the thing to do is just okay, shut it down. Either take a nap, go to bed, meditate. You want to try to stop all thought, which will also stop resistance thought. And then you see the yield of that. When you wake up the next day, you remember, okay, if I can focus on something right away, instead of that problem from yesterday, oh my gosh, I had the best night's sleep, or these pillows are amazing. You have a new chance. So I know Abraham Hicks always talks about if you were in San Francisco, at the top of one of those big hills and you just pushed your car a little bit and walked in front of it. You would be great. You could, you know, it'd be fine. You wouldn't be hurt. But if you were down at the bottom of the hill and that car was rolling down, you're, you're done for. So it's the kind of thing with when you realize that you've got a certain momentum going, just Just shut it down. And also the other, I think the other big fallacy here with law of attraction is like, Oh, I'm supposed to go from having a miserable life and these bad experiences to feeling joy and happiness. And they never say that. In fact, they say it's impossible to go from here immediately to there. It's, it's like, what is the next best feeling? Thought or emotion from where you are. That's what source always and your guides, your team, they always know and they will approach you where you are and what's going on, and they will open up the path of most allowing, also known as the path of least resistance to your beautiful downstream flow, you know, narrowly downstream. let's stop right there. Law of attraction does not promise that a human being will live a life without problems precisely. And if anyone thinks that by feeling that something good is going to happen in the future, that the next day they're not going to have a lot of problems, that's not the way it is. So I think that that's very important to point out because The idea to me of sticking with Law of Attraction is not to be discouraged and not to expect immediate results. And so if you are a person starting it and you make a commitment to change your way of thinking, to include these positives. Just have faith that when you're having a bad day, like you said, you don't focus on the bad things. You try to clear your mind and then you just go from there. Is it that we're going to receive information from spirit as to what's the next best feeling? It's like even when you're if you've ever been locked out of your car. You know, your keys are in your car, and you're like, okay, so it's like I've been in that situation It's like well, what could I do instead of standing by my car? Oh, there's a store over there And they have fun things to look at and while I I'm waiting for my friend to come in and unlock me I'm gonna go to the store, It's like what's the next best thing other than this misery of I've done this thing and let myself out of my car What could I do that could feel better? That is a great example because most people have probably locked their keys in the car, and as silly as you feel at that moment, and kind of like, they are in there and I am out here and I cannot pass through the walls there. And so the next thing that, that's what example of the next best feeling. what am I going to do that's positive? Yeah. Like what would feel a little better than this? The keys are still in the car, right? The problem still happened. The election may not have gone the way I wanted it to, but where do I go from here? Not going to think negative thoughts. I'm going to say, I'm going to move forward. Right. With my life. Right. I'm going to say, like, look at yourself and I'm okay. The sun came up, the moon comes up, you know, and it's beautiful outside. This is this go out in nature seems to be like a big key, you know, for some of the intense feelings that, that are going around. Face it, it's an intense time and a tool, like understanding the law of attraction is It's so helpful because like when you have an issue to begin to look, well, what's the next best thing? Or how can I let go of this feeling of utter disappointment and switch it to, to like looking at the beauty that surrounds me and then, it helps you forget the angst of that. that is not putting your head in the sand. No. Right. And there's a big difference between that. You're not pretending you didn't have the problem. No. No. Absolutely. In fact, you want to feel your emotions. You don't want to, because if you're trying to say, you know, I'm going through this thing over here, but I'm not going to think about it because that's negative and that's sad and that's going to create more. That's not it at all. It's just like. The cool thing, one of the, the ways of Law of Attraction is you don't have to feel good about anything in particular. So let's say you have seven things going really well in life and maybe three that are not, or let's say three that are and seven that are not. Right. If you just focus on the three that are, That will convey to the seven that are not, and same thing. If you focus on the seven negative, that negativity, that frequency will spill over into the three going well. So the trick is, or the, I think the magic is, just focus and reframe. I, I was watching the Today Show during the World Series and Hoda, which I think is so cool, she speaks about, in her own way, law of attraction all the time. She said her driver picked her up that morning and he said, we're done. The Yankees. We're dead. We're dead in the water. And she kind of told him, no, wait, wait a minute, you know, wait a minute. Like that's no way to be, like, let's turn it around. Can we reframe this? And sure enough, that was the very night they had that big win. But it's like even saying, you know, Watching our words and watching, like if we think, well, there's no way, there's no way this is going to work out that's just feeding that side that is, is really not serving you. In fact, it's, it's your resistance. And that's another theme. You know, one of the big themes with Law of Attraction is, is how do you feel? How do you feel? And I think that one of the biggest things, if you're just getting into it, just start observing. How am I feeling? What am I focusing on? Am I worried? Am I anxious? Am I sleeping okay? What are most of my thoughts going? And what are my belief systems that are feeding these thoughts? Just observe. Like you, you're an alien, you drop down to earth, you're just observing this person in your mind. And, and then you can really get a lot of information about that. And, and then you can really go from there. It's so, Amazing how, when you realize, oh, I am pretty fraught with anxiety. So if, if that's the case, then your frequency is, where's more anxiety? It's going to look for, where is anxiety? Where are anxious people that I can put with you? Because it's like a big magnet, you know, that's a big thing. Okay, and so really if a person is starting this out and they're saying, my life is a mess and I just don't want to be in this mess. They can look at what the issues are, right, that are bothering them. And then. Would it be accurate to say they need to reframe their thinking about those issues? Yeah, I love what you just stated because that's what a lot of people say. My life's a mess. I hate this. This is awful. I'm stuck. Well, how does that feel? Just me saying those words. It feels pretty rotten. It feels icky. It's like, ugh. It does. I feel hopeless. Hopeless. And so what you want to do is almost like if you were talking to a beloved child or friend or pet, you know what? You're feeling this way now, but you're so, you're such a. Smart person and you you always have this positive outlook. So, you know that in short order is it's working out You can feel that you're gonna get these answers these solutions are coming They're on the way and doesn't that feel better? You're creating these openings for this energy to shift and change just that alone the way that you talk to yourself It's an incredible because it opens doors, yeah up till now. I've never been good at you know common sense But more and more every day. I just feel that I'm getting more accustomed to what is common sense, you know Make sense here. What can I do? It's growing. I can feel it. I can feel things working out for me I've heard people talking about quantum physics, which I don't know anything about, but that they say that, the energy that you are sending out. And what. actions you maybe you're going to do. if I think I'm going to have a good result on something, then I guess I'm much more likely to take steps toward that end. Exactly. I love that you brought that up Jim because what I've noticed on some podcasts out there now, we have quantum physicists and we have neuroscientists and these are very scientific types. And I hear them trying to define law of attraction through science, which they are, but it's so awkward. It's almost like, Hey, Pally, come over here because you're gonna be able to dial into it. Like I see that they're scientifically actually. Proving it, but it's just such an awkward language for that. I don't want to know why my car goes when I push down the pedal and all the different steps, you know Scientifically that are going to help that that doesn't help me. I need to know if I push on the accelerator I'm most likely gonna go forward and that that's what makes it fun. You know you get in and And, and the other thing I'll say about Law of Attraction, you have, how do you feel? That's at the crux of everything. The other thing is the concept of resistance. Because if you think about it, we are pure, positive beings, and we do have this flow and connection from source, we are part of it, our own inner being, our soul. And yet what we can pinch ourselves off from it pretty good by resistance. And, you know, it's funny about. Well, five years ago I was, I was like fascinated by the concept of resistance and I knew so little about it. But what I used to do was, because I know it's powerful. When I was having a night where I couldn't sleep, I would say, I, there I was popped awake wanting to sleep, but I would say, I hate sleep. I love being so tired. I'm going to be so tired tomorrow and I'm going to love it. I am not going to sleep. The last thing I'm going to do is go to sleep. It's not going to happen. 20 seconds later, I was. sound asleep, because what you resist will come up and it'll bowl you over with what, you know, what you quote, don't want. So part of law of attraction is releasing resistance in your own mind, especially in your own thoughts and your own flow, but also to anything in the world. You know, Byron Katie's another master teacher and her whole work is about loving what. is. And that means everything. Like you don't argue with reality, because why? It's the greatest source of suffering. So, you know, it's like loving what is. And it's like, do we do it through clenched teeth sometimes? Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. Sometimes it's like I want to argue with this so much. I want to resist what's happening so, so much. And yet it's like, What, what does that serve? It's, that resistance is going to create more of a battle, just like war. There's a very famous Buddhist monk, who said, how far away your acceptance is from what's happening, that's your unhappiness. Perfect. And, and it's like that's just what we're talking about here is that the resistance, if you could lower your resistance to what's happening and accept it and then say, This is what's happening. I'm going to move on. Yeah, and also while that's happening, I'm going to look over here at this beautiful day, or my cat. I love playing with my cat. You know, even Mother Teresa said, I will never join you in your protesting, and I will always join you in your peace marches. Because she knew what it's what you're for, not what you're against. You know, what are you for? I'm for peace. If you're anti war, well, you just created some more war in the world. That's the law of attraction. Peace. Yes. Now, I've, heard many times that words are powerful Do you have any thoughts on that, Charlotte? Oh, I know how powerful they are, and one of the first things with the Law of Attraction, for me, was to become more aware of how I was putting words out, because many times, you know, in a joking manner, but the universe doesn't know that you're joking. Okay. And I remember way back, oh, When I did workshops, I was in Colorado, and there was a snowstorm when my friend and I left, so we were in a rental car, I'm driving, snow's coming, everything's fine, and then we had to make a turn and leave this main drag where there had been a snow plow, and I said, Well, there goes our resistance, our, our, our help, our assistance. And right about that time, this little, I call it a devil red car came and hit me in the back end. You know, I had no insurance, this, that, and the other. And it was like, and Joanne just said, well, you just called it. You said, there goes our assistance. There goes our help. So what happened? You had this accident. So it's like remembering to be more aware. of the words that you put out into the world. And it's not that you can't joke and be funny and so forth, but it's just like, look at what it is that you say in a joking manner. But yeah, words are very, very important, because it's your expression, it's your intent. It's like, okay, we're the creators now, so my word creates. It accepts. Yeah, I think they do. And if you're aligned with what you're saying, That's the truth. If you're saying one thing and you feel another way, that's what's going to create. You know, so, so that's like the universe doesn't, it doesn't just listen to your words. It's like, yeah, whatever. Are you aligned with what you're speaking about? Do you believe it? Are you feeling it? So, a lot of times you have the glad handers when someone is so kind of people pleasing and nice and you realize that they really are throwing daggers at you under the surface. So the daggers. are what is going to attract more daggers. Put it that way. So, and I do remember when, when they had that experience and you said, there goes our protection. Our protection. That was the word I was trying to get. Yes. And so sure enough. And I had something like that where I was driving home and I was, mad at myself for saying yes to something I didn't want to do. It was coming up and I was just like, why did I say yes? I don't want to do that. The last thing I want to do, and I have to drive at night and all those deer. I was always all the deer. And at that millisecond, a deer Jumped right out and crashed into my car when I was just thinking all those it was a downward spiral Okay Of negative thought of kicking myself of thinking about the dangerous roads with the deer and then I called it It was like up Well, Melissa, good job on creating what you didn't want, you know, like, but I was clear on it. I did that. So next time, I, I'm wiser, you know, I'm wiser. Where do affirmations come into this? Do they have anything to do with law of attraction? Well, I did the whole thing with affirmations. You know, a while ago and, and they do work because they keep you on a positive tone when, when you create them in a positive way. But it's not something that I, focus on at this time. But it's like looking out at the world and just like the positive way to see something as I go about my life. Yeah, it's funny. I just listened to a podcast where they said if you don't believe them, positive affirmations could do way more harm than good, which is true. If you think about like the secret and the, the I am and the I am, and meanwhile, you don't have any alignment with that. You're just saying these words. And so it's like, they mean absolutely nothing. However, If you're, if you see something and it resonates, Oh yeah, this is, this is how I feel, this is how I want to feel. Like I love the the Hay House, I can do a calendar, the page a day. Because every day there's this beautiful statement and a beautiful picture of nature or an animal. And it's so positive and I feel aligned with it every single day. So in that regard, I feel like I'm joining my energy with that. So it just depends on do you believe I think affirmations can be incredibly powerful if you are lined up with them, you know, or if you're, if you're just saying, I am someone who owns a Mercedes, you know, whatever I am. I am. It's like, it means nothing if you don't believe it, if you're not aligned with it. Does that help clarify what, that's my take on it. Yeah. That's my take on it too. It absolutely does because the, the, the fact that they're very powerful, if You are aligned with it. Exactly. You have to be. It is a very good thing. If you can find affirmations that you're aligned with and regularly say them and believe them, then that's, that's one way to send out that positivity under the law of attraction. Yes, yes. Okay. Good. We probably have time for one short thing is there something short that I just feel like maybe just to go back to how feeling good about anything is, to me, it's the funnest, easiest thing to do. If you're having a good time in life, no matter what you're doing, if it feels good to you, if you're happy, if you're joyful, if you're curious, if you're pleased, you know, it's a, it's a thousand percent. A fact that some good things are coming up because you're creating from this right now moment. So you don't even have to think about, am I, am I aligned? Am I resisting? Am I dialed in? It's like if you're having a good time. You're in it. You're in the zone. So to me, it's like, just feel care about feeling good, being happy, being you know, well adjusted, feeling frisky and curious. And then it's just to think of it as if you knew that you had this You can place an order on the menu of anything and everything and that by working with Law of Attraction, it will come to you. It's like, it's your life, it's what you choose, it's what you're creating through your being, through your frequency. And so, it's like once you get the handle. For the hang of this, it becomes so joyfully creative. You feel excited because you know that now you're in the driver's seat. Like you're driving life and it's not driving you. That's excellent. I can say that from my own standpoint is having not that long ago. really firmly come into Law of Attraction. I can say that I feel like I'm in a car moving forward. I'm not driving it, but it's going into this place that I really want. It's like I am moving forward into the life that I could dream about, and I'm not really doing anything to get there. Things are just happening. Then I'm meeting this person and that person and then this event happens and then things just keep happening. if you get the hang of Law of Attraction, is that kind of what it's like? That's what happens. The proof is in the pudding Jim. I'll tell you it's a darn good proof and so I just, let's finish up with that is that if you. And I didn't, not like I went away and became a monk and learned Law of Attraction. It was like I just put a little thought into it and man, life is just going so, so awesome. Oh, it is. And I just. So that's one of the reasons why I want to do this. It's, please, I'm a huge supporter of people trying it because man, it really works. So, all right, let's let's talk a little more at another time.
