What happens when the gospel truly takes hold of a person’s life? In 2 Corinthians 5:11–21, the apostle Paul shows us that the gospel doesn’t simply improve us—it makes us new.

Because of the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus, our deepest motivations are transformed, our identity is completely renewed, and our purpose in the world is redefined. The love of Christ begins to control our lives, freeing us from living for ourselves and calling us to live for the One who died and was raised for us.

Through Christ, we are made into a new creation. The old has passed away, and the new has come. As people who have been reconciled to God, we are now entrusted with the message of reconciliation and sent into the world as ambassadors for Christ.

This message explores how the gospel reshapes our motivations, gives us a new identity in Christ, and calls us into a mission to proclaim God’s reconciling grace to the world.
