Future Template Parent | EMDR intensive tips for EMDR therapists and Therapist Moms
The go-to podcast for EMDR therapists who want to work fewer hours, make more money and have a better work/life balance.
Are you an EMDR therapist feeling overwhelmed by the one-to-one client model? Your caseload is packed and the lack of flexibility in your practice often leads to burnout and resentment because you can't be the parent or the therapist you really want to be.
I'm here to tell you there's a different way to run your practice.
And you're in the right place if you want to learn more about EMDR intensives and how to implement them so can build a practice that suits your family life and supports you in being a therapist for the long term.
Welcome to the Future Template Parent podcast! I'm your host, Carolyn Solo LCSW, EMDR consultant, business coach, and mom to a neurodivergent six year old, a four year old and one year old. I started offering EMDR intensives in 2022 after becoming burnt out from the grind of week-to-week sessions. Managing a caseload of 20+ clients every week had a huge impact on my ability to be present for my family and I struggled to take breaks or days off because I was worried about letting my clients down.
I knew something had to change.
EMDR intensives (or the Disney Fast Pass of Therapy as I like to call them) have completely transformed my entire business model.
I now offer EMDR intensives almost exclusively in my practice, making significantly more money and working fewer clinical hours, my clients get better results, spend less time in therapy and I have more space to be the parent I want to be.
I want to teach you how you can too!
Tune in each week to learn:
*Practical tools to improve your EMDR clinical practice
*How to manage what comes up for you when you're a parent who practices EMD
-*How offering EMDR intensives maximize your energy and reduce your overwhelm and 1-1 client time as an EMDR therapist and a parent
*How being an EMDR client has shaped my evolution as a mom
I can’t wait to help you create the future template for your life as a parent and as a therapist.

Welcome back for another episode of the Future Template Parent Podcast! In today's episode, I interview Yesim Saldivia (Yish) who is a holistic trauma therapist and Licensed Professional Counselor in Colorado. She helps adults make sense of patterns like people-pleasing, hyper-independence, and feeling “high-functioning” on the outside but overwhelmed underneath. Her work integrates EMDR, IFS, inner child work, and somatic, nervous-system-based care to support healing that goes beyond insight and into lasting change. She also offers therapy intensives for those ready to move through deeper work in a more focused way. Warm, real and human-Yesim brings humor and honesty into the room while still making space for the deeper work. She is EMDR Certified, a Consultant-in-Training (soon to be Approved Consultant), offering individual and group EMDR consultation to therapists looking to deepen their skills and confidence. In her spare time she enjoys the outdoors, time with her family and friends, a good book/podcast and reality tv.
