SPEAKER_01

What's up, everybody? Welcome back to another episode with the Broke Boys. And today it's gonna be a little bit different different. Uh DJ went to Adventure Out and get a tattoo, and this is an episode between him and his tattoo artist. So please enjoy. Thank you. We love you. Much love.

SPEAKER_08

I'm kinda glad everyone went to bigger size too, because it's like I said, I don't have anything huge.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_08

And I need to fill this arm in, and I've been like trying to figure out what design I want to go with. And when I seen the Raider Betty Boob, I was like, bro, I gotta do this. Like, and the main inspiration behind it all was because my mom is like a really huge Betty Boob fan. Yeah. And my uh my family's from the Bay Area, they're from Oakland. So I was like, okay, the Oakland Raiders mixed with Betty Boob is perfect, dog. Uh and so when I seen your post, I was like, alright, I gotta lock in for this one.

SPEAKER_04

Hell yeah, bro.

SPEAKER_08

Can't miss that opportunity for real.

SPEAKER_04

I usually get a little bit of extra on the sides because I use the sticky adhesive stickers. Uh-huh. And it's a bitch when you take it off and it's pulling your little baby hairs.

SPEAKER_08

Right, so just fucking ripping your shit off.

SPEAKER_04

Whenever I get my legs uh tatted, I make sure I say bro, shave that bitch all around. I am not trying to risk pulling that shit off the chocolate.

Aftercare: Wraps, Healing, And Work

SPEAKER_08

Oh my goodness. So I got a major question. So I feel like I've never gotten a real answer on this, but when it comes to getting your arms or any part of your skin tattooed, um, how long are you supposed to leave that wrap on for?

SPEAKER_04

The plastic wrap.

SPEAKER_08

The plastic, yeah.

SPEAKER_04

Oh, it's like an hour.

SPEAKER_08

That's it. I've had motherfuckers tell me three days. Bro. And you can just watch and it bubble up and bleed.

SPEAKER_04

You could like make your own every day, but you would have to switch it. Right. So this doesn't hold in all the bacteria that your body's losing out.

SPEAKER_07

Right.

SPEAKER_04

But that does. So like when you when you use that and you see like it has like a little like bubble of liquid.

SPEAKER_08

Yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_04

Oh, it's perfectly normal.

SPEAKER_08

Okay.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, that stuff actually, it's all the bacteria coming out, right? But it also, if you if it stays around that same like part of your skin, it helps heal it.

SPEAKER_08

Okay. Word. So as of like wrapping it continuously, right? If I just left it on for that one hour and I took it off, do I have to consistently keep wrapping it for like aftercare or is it not needed?

SPEAKER_04

That's usually just reference. Okay. A lot of people do like buy that stickers, uh that's like for themselves.

SPEAKER_06

Right.

SPEAKER_04

I think I say keep it on for three days. That one, yeah. Keep it on for three days.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_04

Um like, oh, I bought I bought it by myself. Right. After the three days I just put it on because some people they work, they have to rub certain things.

SPEAKER_08

Right. Okay, word, word, word. Gotcha. Right. Well, thank God I work in an office job. When I was doing solar and I got tatted up, that was a different story. Oh, dude. That's a different story, bro.

SPEAKER_03

I mean that's like solar. Yeah.

SPEAKER_04

Not too bad, but like you can tell like oh it's like rubbing.

SPEAKER_08

Yeah, especially carrying up like solar panels, you gotta use your whole body for a lot of that shit. If you're an electrician, you're carrying like major electrical boxes and shit. Sweating all the time, you're out in the sun, direct heat.

SPEAKER_04

You're sweating, the sweat dries, and you sweat again, and it's all it's all messed.

SPEAKER_08

It's a rough one, bro. Hell yeah. Well, now I know.

SPEAKER_04

I know because I would eat lawns with my like my family all the time growing up. Right. So, like, oh dude, I know that all well.

SPEAKER_08

Man, the grass shavings and just the dirt that's kicked up.

SPEAKER_04

You just smell nothing but fucking grass.

SPEAKER_08

And gasoline, bro. My goodness.

SPEAKER_04

I can I was always little and I couldn't hold the fucking the gasoline can.

SPEAKER_08

Yeah.

SPEAKER_04

So that shit would always spill on like my shirt when you have to get like bro, like I mean you see how big this motherfucker is and you have it all the way full? Like eight, bro.

SPEAKER_08

Right, like you're not thinking of proportions at that time. It's like, I let me fill this motherfucker up. That's crazy. So you did you did a lot of um like yard work growing up?

SPEAKER_04

Yeah. Like not hard, I wouldn't say like hard labor, something like out there out there, but like my dad would be like, oh, we're doing our your your grandma's lawn, let's go, it'd be like seven in the morning on like a Saturday.

Path To Tattooing And Creative Beginnings

SPEAKER_08

Right. I feel like I'm in a GTA fucking tattoo artist booth getting tatted and shit. So what got you into this shop? Like, how'd you end up getting plugged into this place?

SPEAKER_04

I do just started coming here, man. You know, once you start getting tattoos, and well, I just got my first one. I was just like, dude, I fell in love with the whole process and I love I loved art my whole life. I've wanted to create something my whole life, you know, just share my art with people in some sort of way, like any way possible.

SPEAKER_01

Right.

SPEAKER_04

Um and I got my first tattoo here, and I just was like, let's get some more. And after I started getting more, I was like, okay, this process seems not easy, but like the type of person I am, I know that I'm adaptable to anything, and I can I can achieve anything. If I really, really put my mind to it, right? I can achieve anything. And I've I've learned that growing up. And so I know that I I knew this right away. I was like, oh, this is capework for me. I can get in here, I can learn. I know I'm not gonna say I'm gonna be easy, it's gonna be easy, right? But like it's gonna be easy for me to like adapt, learn, and just you know, create. So it really has been.

SPEAKER_08

So were you an artist before this? Like, did you grow up drawing a lot?

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, so I dude, I loved painting, I loved like drawing. Painting was like my thing, dude. Um but no, yeah, I was always I was always into creating something, dude. Like, and it it wasn't always either painting, you know, like I would do obsolete stuff with with objects.

SPEAKER_06

Right.

SPEAKER_04

Um my dad had a lot of junk in the backyard and his trailers would always make like metal statues or whatever.

SPEAKER_08

Hell yeah. It reminds me of like some um Iron Giant type shit, you know.

SPEAKER_04

I wanted to be like the poor man's fucking uh Tony Stark of the man is putting parts together, making shit, and my dad's like, you know, that's not gonna move because there's no electricity. I'm like, man, let them fucking dream.

SPEAKER_08

Hey, that's dope as fuck though. Like being a kid and having in a creative space where you can let your mind just go off into the distance is everything. Like, I feel like had I not had the ability to do that, I don't know if my creative mind would be as beautiful as it is now.

SPEAKER_04

Exactly, yeah. I just wanted that cool parents are always just like back me, you know. Right. You always need one. Yeah, they always believed in me every step of the way, man. And that that just that really helps. Yes, it really does.

SPEAKER_08

Anybody who can support your dreams as a youngin', bro, it'll make a huge difference when you grow up. I think that's why, like, I don't know if there's a huge disconnect in that with a lot of the younger generations now, but like the kids growing up with the iPads and having like YouTube in front of their face all the time or TikTok and stuff, like, don't get it wrong, there's a lot of educational stuff on there. Maybe we might start making a lot of digital creatives from it. But I feel like letting the kids being able to like really get to the rawness of art and sit down and like maybe recreate some of the stuff that they see on the digital art forms.

SPEAKER_03

No, yeah, I agree.

SPEAKER_08

And then the parents being able to support that or their their friends being like, yo, you should make this, that'd be cool. Like, I could imagine what eight and ten-year-olds are gonna be able to create in the next 10 to 15 years.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, instead of just using that to watch fucking Kilgo Mountain.

SPEAKER_08

Yes, bro, yes, dog. Like, could you imagine? Like, we were we were doing like growing up, we were doing like Photoshop and trying to use paint and all that shit on the computer, but now with the tools that these kids have, we might see some 3D artwork we ain't never seen before.

SPEAKER_03

Like, oh yeah, like people people have been definitely going off in that aspect. I see a lot of your like 3D art, um just like graphic design in general.

Kids, iPads, And Future Of Art

SPEAKER_08

Yes, yes. I can't wait to see what these people come up with, man. Over time, I feel like we in the beginning of certain things, there's always like a how do you say like a sandbox point where everybody's just trying to start out and figure it out and learn it, then they start running different tips and tricks, and then there's always that time frame where something comes out and it makes it so much easier to create work or art, yeah, and then right after that it the shit just starts blossoming and blooming, and I think we're in that time zone now with having AI implemented with shit now. Like, you know how many times I've used Chat GPT for like different clothing designs and shit? Oh you're good, you're good, you're good. Scared me for a little bit. Um but using like ChatGPT to like make different hat designs, different clothing designs, like just effortlessly, but making it come to life. It's like it's literally making your dreams come true.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah.

SPEAKER_08

Love it, man.

SPEAKER_04

Anything for creativity to spread is I'm there for just not I'm not there for like the laziness, you know?

SPEAKER_08

Yeah. Like you're like utilize it as a tool for what it is, not for a cheat code, you just be lazy.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah. I agree.

SPEAKER_06

It's usually like little pinches and then you do it. Yeah.

SPEAKER_08

Okay, yeah, that's not true.

SPEAKER_04

I personally it only like bothers me when uh I do uh shading, you know, when someone does shading.

SPEAKER_06

Right. Shading for a kind of collection, but I don't know why.

SPEAKER_08

I feel like when I got my 333 tatted, like the shading wasn't too bad. I feel like it didn't hurt as much, but the lining of it, that shit really hurt.

SPEAKER_04

Is it true that depending on the needle size, obviously the paint is a little bit more detrimental when it's a thicker yeah when the thicker ones it does kind of tend to hurt a little more.

SPEAKER_05

Really everyone's different, bro.

SPEAKER_06

Because I kinda I enjoy the line. Right.

SPEAKER_04

It's like my favorite part.

SPEAKER_08

That's so crazy, though.

SPEAKER_04

The only thing I don't like is the shading because it's that back and forth motion.

SPEAKER_08

Yeah, just fucking oh what's your most like deeply shaded tattoo?

SPEAKER_04

Uh that that one I showed you on my leg with that art binder.

SPEAKER_08

Yeah. I mean like you could you could tell too, just the amount of color in it, like it doesn't it do like a back like a black to red fade? Yeah, that shit looks sad.

SPEAKER_06

It does. I like how you notice that.

SPEAKER_08

Sound you dog. There was one tattoo that I seen on you that I was like, yo, that shit's hard. It was the X one. Oh, yeah, yeah. The X call?

SPEAKER_04

The shop owner did that for me. That was like one of my first. That was one of my first tattoos. It's on my music sleeve. This one?

SPEAKER_08

Yes, dog.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, I want to add some blue to it.

SPEAKER_08

You had a G unit, bro. That shit's too. Yeah, my boy Lost.

SPEAKER_04

My boy Lost did that for me, man.

SPEAKER_08

That shit's tough.

SPEAKER_04

50 Cent is my favorite rapper of all time. It's my first CD I've ever owned and bought myself.

SPEAKER_08

You're lying.

SPEAKER_04

It's like five years old, bro.

SPEAKER_02

What?

SPEAKER_04

Five or six, dude.

SPEAKER_02

I I had um like the CD players, like those.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, I take it with me everywhere, bro.

SPEAKER_06

Literally everywhere to school.

Pain, Needles, And Shading Talk

SPEAKER_08

Man, the school was different, bro. I had that big ass. I forgot what brand it was. I seen somebody that I had one the other day, and I was like, what the fuck? I haven't seen this in years. It was the same model I had as a kid, too. Yeah. Now what's wild is is when I was, I think I was I had to be around the same age, bro, like maybe four or five. And I lived in these apartments growing up called the Stone Pine, and my dad had a bunch of CDs and stuff, because CDs back then were just that's all you really had.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah.

SPEAKER_08

Um other than the USB stick, obviously, but he had a 50 cent CD, and I remember playing it. We had this little small speaker that we would play all our CDs on and shit, and I was listening to uh if I can't do it, it can't be done. And I was like, holy shit, like that was my shit back in the days, and I didn't really know anything about him.

SPEAKER_06

Yeah.

SPEAKER_08

Uh fast forward, maybe like two years later, I found out my dad actually had the 50 cent game.

unknown

Oh yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_06

You know about that?

SPEAKER_04

Yes, bro. I used to play that shit. I remember my trick my parents into um getting it for me.

SPEAKER_05

Oh, hell yeah, dude. I got the special edition and everything.

SPEAKER_08

The finesse on the parents is crazy, bro. How'd you pull that off?

SPEAKER_04

Um, I said it was the music video. I said it was because they bought me the this Michael Jackson hits, music hits. Oh, yeah, yeah. I told me it was just like that.

SPEAKER_08

Damn, bro. He was in the he was in the game room chilling at like nine o'clock at night. Parents already asleep. He's over here busting shots and shit.

SPEAKER_06

No, dead ass.

SPEAKER_08

Nobody really, every time I bring that game up, nobody knows what I'm talking about. People were like, 50 Cent had a game? Bro. That shit was good. This man knows both.

SPEAKER_05

And then uh Def Jam Fighters.

SPEAKER_08

Bro, Def Jam New York, Def Jam Fighters. They had another one, um, the revamp of Dev Jam where they had E40 on there, they had like newer maps. This was like 2013, 2014 when they came out with the Oh, for real? Yeah, they had a revamp of it. Not too many people played it. It was cool. It'll never be the same as regular Def Jam New York for Fight Against, or was it Fight Against New York or Fight for New York?

SPEAKER_04

I think it was Fight Against New York.

SPEAKER_08

Yeah, that shit was crazy.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, because um, it had like all the West Coast guys and then versus like the East Coast guys.

SPEAKER_08

Yeah. Fucking Snoop Dogg, Fat Joe, Red Man.

SPEAKER_06

I love fighting as Ludacris.

SPEAKER_08

Ludacris is such a valid character. I can't even imagine. He was uh he was was he a kickboxer? He was a mixed martial artist?

SPEAKER_06

Something like that.

SPEAKER_08

Yeah.

SPEAKER_06

Oh dude, I have to play that again.

SPEAKER_08

Dog a nostalgia. I still got the first generation of Xbox that I have that game on too.

SPEAKER_04

Oh dude, we have it too. We literally have all the systems, bro. Yeah.

SPEAKER_05

Every now and then we we turn the game cube on, we play game cube, we play some Smash Bros, some Mario Party.

SPEAKER_08

Did you ever play uh Pac-Man Worlds?

SPEAKER_05

Hell yeah, no. Yeah, Monkey Ball.

SPEAKER_08

Yeah, yeah. Bro, fucking monkey ball.

SPEAKER_04

Dude, no, I have this one that no one I feel like everyone looks at me crazy when I tell them. Okay. It's called Billy Hatcher, bro. And it's about like this chicken boy. And his friends are like have chicken costumes too, and you you roll an egg around, right? Make it bigger till it hatches, and it'll hatch like a little animal character buddy that has like uh elemental like powers based on like the form. Right. So there's like um like a penguin guy, and he'll shoot like little bubbles. It's uh you know, stuff like that. Holy shit. It's it's it's a cute little game, bro. Yeah, yeah, it has like Sonic characters in it, right?

SPEAKER_08

Bro, speaking of Sonic, oh my goodness. I I don't know what Sonic it was. I remember it being on the GameCube. I don't know if it was Sonic Adventures 2, but it was one of the ones where you could go into like there was just like different type of like land or map, and they had these little babies that you could like.

SPEAKER_04

Oh, yeah, yeah. So that's adventure adventure one and two.

SPEAKER_08

Yeah. What was that land called? Do you remember it?

SPEAKER_04

It was the their child's and it's called like children.

SPEAKER_08

Yes, bro, yes, dog. That game was so nostalgic. I remember um I think Sonic Adventures was the one where you could go to like different game modes and different maps and shit.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_08

And then they had the mini games where you could play like uh wasn't Duck Hunt, it was like it was like a maze, and you were like these little baby ducks, and you had to collect them and like go to different different levels of the floor and shit.

SPEAKER_04

I remember that bro. Man, that where like you could race across the city with against like another blair.

SPEAKER_08

Yes, bro, yes. I miss Sonic so much.

SPEAKER_04

Grinding on like railings. Yep, yep. That and then like Sonic Riders was fired.

SPEAKER_08

Sonic Riders was such an icon, like I wish they would have re-implemented that later in the future because all the they just came out with the new Sonic Racers.

SPEAKER_04

Yes. And uh they have those boards on using the boards. I heard that game is so crazy. My um my brother and his homie, they have it.

SPEAKER_05

Me and my brother share games, so I'm gonna download that bitch soon.

SPEAKER_06

Oh yeah.

SPEAKER_05

But bro, it's cool. They have like how like like weird wonky characters they're gonna add. Right. So they're gonna add Spongebob and Patrick.

SPEAKER_01

What the fuck?

SPEAKER_05

Yeah, brother. It's gonna be Spongebob, Patrick, the Ninja Turtles. Um they have Hatsumiku in there. Bro, what?

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, dude, it's fucking crazy.

Retro Games: Def Jam To GameCube Deep Cuts

SPEAKER_08

Did you ever play the shadow game back in the day? Hell yeah, dude. That shit was a classic.

SPEAKER_04

And with the fucking Akimbo fucking that bitch. I remember they had like a multiplayer. They had a multiplayer version, and you can like everyone's shadow, but like they're different colors. Like this guy had like green hair, this guy had orange hair. Right. Oh yeah, dude, that game was legit.

SPEAKER_08

The wildest part is like I feel like the shadow game didn't get as much recognition. Like, Sonic was definitely huge. Like, everybody knows Sonic Adventures and Sonic, but Shadow's game was on such a different level.

SPEAKER_04

I agree.

SPEAKER_08

Like, bro, bro was using guns. That dude was bro was licked up. Literally just causing chaos all through the world, bro.

SPEAKER_04

Just oh yeah, dude, someone killed this girl, bro. Bro.

SPEAKER_05

Saw blood.

SPEAKER_08

He was like, you know what, now it's war on everybody.

SPEAKER_05

Exactly, bro. That game is amazing. And I like the I like the little monsters that they have in there, like the demons that he fights. Yes, bro. It's not just like the robots.

SPEAKER_08

I think it's crazy how creative people were back in the days. Like the games were just back after back after like it was just so many different stories, so many different characters coming out. Like I feel like we don't really see that nowadays.

SPEAKER_04

Because wanna know why? You don't have to worry about damn season passes and back. Oh my god. Everything is a battle pass. Everything is a season pass, bro.

SPEAKER_08

And that's killing the creativity of characters because every time I get on COD, they'd be like, oh, get the battle pass. I ignore that shit. I ignore it every single time. Like they got cool skins on there, don't like don't get it twisted, but it becomes overwhelming and it becomes too much. It's like, bro, like now I gotta now I gotta spend 20 bucks on this battle pass because I want this specific skin. I'm not gonna keep spending money on a game.

SPEAKER_06

Like no, exactly.

SPEAKER_08

Everybody's so focused on battle passes and getting specific exclusive characters. It's like nah, work for it and get it. Like I miss being able to like play Halo Reach.

SPEAKER_05

Bro, Halo Reach is amazing.

SPEAKER_08

Bro, you remember playing Halo Reach, doing multiplayer missions, or like trying to complete objectives just so that way you can get a new skin or a new helmet.

SPEAKER_04

Get the fucking flaming recon?

SPEAKER_08

Yes, bro.

SPEAKER_04

Like they don't understand the level of um expertise you'd have in that game. Bro. Because you have to do like all the rounds in Fire Force, right? Yeah. Oh my god, dude. You'd have to have a good squad with you, or you were fucked.

SPEAKER_08

Literally. And then you have to get like a certain amount of headshots with a sniper, certain amount of um assassinations for certain things. Like it was skill-based. It's what made you want to keep playing it. Yeah. Other than like, now people can pay to play or for pretty much just buy everything just to get what they want. And it's like, brother, this I get you got money, but you ain't even work for it. I'd rather work for Marshall. I ain't gonna lie.

SPEAKER_05

That's how I am with Madden. Because I love Madden. It's the same shit every year.

SPEAKER_08

Yeah.

SPEAKER_04

I get that, but it's better than 2K. In my opinion. In my opinion. I feel like it's better than 2K because it's not like the same shit.

SPEAKER_06

Right.

SPEAKER_04

You don't have to do the same. Well kind of because Ultimate Team, I love to play Ultimate Team. So there's that, but bro, every year I do not I do not use money.

SPEAKER_05

I do no no money spent.

SPEAKER_06

Right.

SPEAKER_05

And I still get a good team.

SPEAKER_08

Right.

SPEAKER_05

That's my goal.

SPEAKER_08

I haven't played Madden in forever. You know what's really crazy is I never really grew up playing sports games. But like I was Madden was one of the ones that I had gotten. I tried FIFA. FIFA's different.

SPEAKER_05

FIFA's, yeah, it's different.

SPEAKER_08

But Madden.

SPEAKER_05

You really gotta be good at that one to enjoy it, I feel like.

SPEAKER_08

Oh yeah. Get my ass whipped in FIFA. Every time I played a game, I'm like, bro, I'm just gonna quit now. But Madden was just that one. Like the music choice.

SPEAKER_06

Bro, yeah. So always well not always, but most of them had like solid ass fucking like playlists.

SPEAKER_08

Yeah, soundtracks is going crazy. And I feel like now uh with 2K, 2K's going crazy with it. They're implementing a lot of current music into it now, which is cool. But like nothing beats the nostalgia of playing. I don't know if you played NFL Blitz 2003.

SPEAKER_04

Oh yeah.

SPEAKER_08

Bro, had that on the Xbox.

SPEAKER_04

That's one with Ultra on it, right?

SPEAKER_08

Yes, bro. I remember playing having the fucking horse character on there. You could play as a dolphin. They had different like animals you could play as, like all the different uh the teams you can play as a sports animal. And brother, like there were so many trolling moments we had. Me and my brother just grew up playing that shit. And it just it's just so unmatched, like imagine getting whipped on by somebody dressed up in a dolphin costume. Like he's walking on the field in a dolphin costume. Hitting touchdown, dance moves, and shit.

SPEAKER_04

It's kinda like uh 2K, because I see I see like they have like mascots in two.

SPEAKER_06

Yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_04

I always like, I watch like um like share plays that Mike Mohammeds put up, they'll do like rec centers and I'll I'll listen to them fight each other.

SPEAKER_06

You didn't cover this guy, you didn't cover this guy. Right.

SPEAKER_04

Alright, this guy made a lemon.

SPEAKER_08

I feel like the commentary is definitely something that I really like in 2K though. Yeah. Like when you're listening to them and they're actively advancing, and you notice it after each and every year, like they can like being able to have a system that intens uh anticipates how the player is gonna make a shot or be like Curry at a 30 or Curry at the 3, and then it and then it hits and it sinks in, it's like that feeling is there, like you're watching an actual game.

SPEAKER_06

Oh yeah, the graphics definitely went up.

SPEAKER_08

I love it, bro.

Sonic, Shadow, And Crossover Racers

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, I love when they have like um cool little emotes and dances, bro. It's so funny. A little pop culture shit.

SPEAKER_08

Honestly, I feel like emoting is such a gotta do it, bro. It's like you have to, it's necessary now.

SPEAKER_04

It's like the new and more advanced version of trolling.

SPEAKER_08

Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Like, bro, you know how to make a player really mad? Like, keep scoring on them and then start memeing on them.

SPEAKER_05

Hit them emotes.

SPEAKER_08

Bro, like bro start hitting the Fortnite dance in front of you as you're getting whooped on, like, you gotta put the game after that. Like, how do you that is the ultimate level rage bait.

SPEAKER_04

Hell yeah, no, I love playing Fortnite with my homies. So, like, whenever we get a dub, dude, I'll be fucking emoting them.

SPEAKER_08

Bro, literally.

SPEAKER_05

I'll be doing like fucking uh like the girly ass pop songs.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, and they'll be so they'll be so pissed. I know it.

SPEAKER_08

I miss the proximity chats, bro.

SPEAKER_04

Oh my god.

SPEAKER_08

I miss how toxic it used to be. Like, one thing I will admit, like, I love a toxic game. I love a toxic game. Being in Call of Duty now is different because back then there was no censorship, there was no active listening. You could report somebody for shit talking, but it wasn't that major.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah.

SPEAKER_08

Nowadays, bro, you say a single cuss word and somebody's listening and report you, it's raps.

SPEAKER_04

It's raps.

SPEAKER_08

48-hour ban, weekend.

SPEAKER_04

So stupid.

SPEAKER_08

And here's the thing in order to buy the game, you have to be 18 and older. If you buy the game and you're not 18 and above, you have to get parental consent. So if it's about the children hearing, you know, profanity and stuff, then why are you buying them a game of first-person shooting? Like the violence is more different than the cussing to me. Like, I don't know.

SPEAKER_04

I agree.

SPEAKER_05

But I always like as a kid, I I always ignored that and like tell my parents to buy it for me anyways.

SPEAKER_08

I mean, yeah, like I'm not gonna tell my parents like it's like a few.

SPEAKER_05

I'm not gonna menace to society.

SPEAKER_08

Yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_04

You know what I'm saying?

SPEAKER_08

Even then, just like I remember being a kid, like, if your parents are really strict about you cussing, your parents are gonna instill that in you.

SPEAKER_04

Oh, dude, I couldn't even say, like, I killed you or shit. Yeah, yes, bro.

SPEAKER_08

Like, growing up, like obviously when you're in school, it's a different story. When you're in school, you're cussing around your friends, whatever. Yeah. The moment you get around your family or you get home, lock in. Like that, there was no cussing around the family. I was just a uh a moral respect for it. But um, nah, man, I feel like the video games, like the censorship on the video games is crazy. Like, Call of Duty is known for shit talking. It's the most like hype moments in COD is when somebody gets a end-game kill, 360 no-scope off a building, and the whole group chat is like screaming their ass off, and everybody's just cussing each other out. Like, it's just a it's just a moment, it's like a you had to be there type moment. But you know, I mean, I don't know. You don't have to have profanity to enjoy a game, I guess.

SPEAKER_04

Oh no, see, I love playing MLB, and um, because I love baseball. Yeah, that's my thing. I love baseball. Fuck, dude. I'll be hitting bombs in that bitch. I'll be I'll be standing up for you.

SPEAKER_06

Yeah, that's right. Take that, I'll be like, hell yeah.

SPEAKER_08

I'm telling you, dog, it's a different feeling. Like, you know it's serious when you're sitting down and you gotta stand up for the game.

Battle Pass Fatigue And Earning Skins

SPEAKER_04

Oh my god. My goodness, when you do the lean forward method, that's me when I throw my homie at Madden, bruh.

SPEAKER_08

Oh man.

SPEAKER_04

He'll he'll be coming back on me, bro, and I'll be like, bro, how do you do that? I'm like blowing him out the water, and then he comes back, I'm like, bro, I can't believe it.

SPEAKER_08

He's like, alright, throws the phone off the lap.

SPEAKER_04

No, yeah, dude. I'll be like looking at him hella pissed all night.

SPEAKER_08

Well, the silence gets in, bro. Especially it's different when you're playing with them in person. Because it's like, bruh, when you know it's getting bad, you go from laughing and clowning on them to really getting quiet. And then you lock in and you're like, nah, this ain't nothing. Alright, y'all, so now we're back. We are back here with my boy Shithead Inks at the studio finishing up the Betty Boot tattoo. Um, the last episode we had, unfortunately, the uh camera cut out and it died. So I wasn't able to capture everything, but I kind of just wanted to leave off um and restart the episode where we left off at last time. So it's been over a month of healing. We finally got the tattoo healed properly. So now we're just doing the shading for this episode, and we're gonna dive deep into um just whatever conversations we can find. This is gonna be an um open mic test, so this is not scripted, this is not questions that I've already had written down. This is something that I genuinely ask my guy here because I get to know him. Obviously, having a deep conversation with your artist, I feel like is a part of the whole process. Uh, because it'd be kind of awkward just sitting there silently through my entire uh my entire piece being done, but um no judge to those who do it. I understand it. But uh yeah, so let's get into it.

SPEAKER_04

I think it was pretty good. HBO Max is kind of like bringing back old Cartoon Network shows. No, no, they just like um continued the Fiona and Cake series. So like if you were if you're into uh Adventure Time Road, like it's really good.

SPEAKER_08

So from what I'm understanding, they continued the series or they just left off like they're doing like reruns again, like being able to stream it again like that?

SPEAKER_04

No, they it it's continued, it's definitely continued, but it's it's just still trying to make its own thing. Right. Um, but still intertwining like the old stories, guys. I think while like old characters will come up and you know um it's like universes and dimensions and stuff now.

SPEAKER_08

Which I always like the fact of like Adventure Time never was too afraid to go above and beyond about like different episodes and different realms and stuff. I think that's what makes the TV series in general like they were okay with coming up with some crazy ass episode, like the one when uh they ended up visiting Marceline's uh dad's realm and that whole episode, bro. Like if I was a kid watching that as a like I'd probably freak myself out, bro. Almost like Curse the Cowardly Dog in his prime.

SPEAKER_04

Dude. Man. I could have swore so online that they're trying to make like a game for that. Oh, I hope. Kind of like um, what is that horror game with like all the horror characters and the survivors, like Dead by Daylight? Yeah, yeah. Yeah, so it's supposed to be kind of like that. Yeah, and it was pretty cool. I saw the gameplay, it was pretty cool.

SPEAKER_08

Bro, it took me so long to get into Dead by Daylight. Like, I'm not gonna lie to you, that game made me rage more than all the battles that will ever make me rage.

Sports Games, Soundtracks, And Emotes

SPEAKER_04

You'll literally have people out there just like playing just to play, which is cool, but like they don't play strategically strategically, like they'll leave you, like any chance they'll you'll get they'll get they'll leave your ass on the bro. It's a it's a game where you at least have to have like one or two buddies to play with.

SPEAKER_08

Yeah, I say the same thing about like battlefield, like now it's more team based, team focused. Like COD, you can get in COD and you can solo and kill shit and be top of the leaderboard if you want to. But playing on battlefield now it's more or less like you get in conquest, team of four. You need that.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, if you really want to rock shit, and you really need like um a healer, you really need meds, like bro, like I play med because no one likes to play media. Nobody likes to play med. Um, I'll take one for the team.

SPEAKER_08

The way I made that work for me was is med has my best gun uh loadout. Yeah. So it's got the fastest uh rate of fire, the best uh uh penetration for the boards and stuff like that. Like it's it's it's top tier, and I'm like people are like, why are you always playing medic? I'm like, well, it's the best gun I got, so I'm trying to save your ass. You better hope that your medic has a good gun, because if not, he's just gonna waste his time trying to resonate.

SPEAKER_04

Exactly, bro. I like a little uh like animation where it's like hella quick. Yeah, because you kind of like just like defibulate them real quick. Yeah, it really gives uh like um forget about it.

SPEAKER_08

Yeah, bro. I think the fact that like there's certain games that make you sit through uh I don't know what to call it, I would say like character interactions with the world, and they make you sit through having to wait for them to do certain things, like what pisses me off a lot about uh older Call of Duty's is if you were reloading, right, you couldn't do uh a reload cancel. Now I know that's not realistic, I know, but in terms of if somebody's running up on me, I can hear them, I'm not gonna wait for my guy to finish reloading this machine gun. I'm about to do a reload cancel and then shoot whatever I got left in the clip. Um and the craziest part is that like what you were saying about the medics with the defibs, they're able to at least uh run out charge before they do anything, and it's an instant click. Instant button tap on your resin. Yeah. But I feel like the most uh useless class on there has to be a solar.

SPEAKER_04

Like there's no that's basically just like running gun.

SPEAKER_08

Yeah, and then I don't think they actually have a positive perk.

SPEAKER_04

They really don't. The only thing is that you you get overkill with well Call of Duty terms, you get overkill like the what's it called? Two primaries.

SPEAKER_08

Yeah, two primaries. I've seen that. That maybe that's what it was. But the craziest part is like, come on, you gotta give assault. Like, I figured assault would have had what the engineer has.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_08

Like the engineer has a torch, but then you also got the RPG. I run a machine gun, an RPG, a torch, and an anti-air most of the time. I'll run an air anti-air before I run RPG too.

SPEAKER_04

That's so annoying. The freaking air, the air uh vehicles, bro.

SPEAKER_08

Bro, I'm telling you, if they let somebody good on the sticks in a helicopter, even the dudes in a jet.

SPEAKER_04

I've seen jets go crazy stupid. I'm just like, I have I quit.

SPEAKER_08

I've I've been trying to learn how to do like thrust vectoring, which is basically like where they're flying. Uh I don't know if you saw that um Top Gun uh movie clip where he's in the he's in the jet and he kind of does his move where he stalls it going this way, and the dude passes him and he corrects it and he aims right back at him. Now he's behind him and he fires his muscle. I've been learning how to do that. Okay, Tom. I've been getting sweaty, bro. But the wildest part is is like even that I'm still not good enough.

SPEAKER_04

You gotta stun on him, bruh.

SPEAKER_08

I'm still not good enough though. Like these guys, they're sweaty, bro.

SPEAKER_04

Like, no, that's how it'll be.

SPEAKER_08

It's it's nice, like, because the homies will be like, go get him DJIC out there, and then over there, thrust vector, you're gonna be. Okay, great. But there's always that one sweaty dude who's been under since the game drop, hasn't got him off the game in like two weeks, bro, and it's like I respect it. I respect the grind because this game is skill-based, it's not pay to play or pay to win, you know. So I give respect to those who really grinded and try to make most of what they were given. But they still fuck PC, bro. I I like being a console guy, strictly on Xbox, going against PC players, it's like, oh, I've never had a problem. Oh my god, bro.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_08

I've only noticed it because I used to play PC.

SPEAKER_04

Only like if I'm building on Fortnite, which I never build, yeah. I just feel like that's like uh that's a lost part, I guess you can say. Yeah. Like I'm not like gonna grind here and build points all night. Yeah. I'm trying to I'm trying to run a gun.

SPEAKER_08

Exactly. No, that's why I always play uh I've always been the type of person to play no builds or zero builds.

SPEAKER_04

Oh yeah.

SPEAKER_08

Every time people are like, Who's do builds? What's dude builds? I'm like, no. No, I'm not building builds, bro. I I can't. If I've got a sniper, I'm gonna bust you in your shit, but you don't die. And then you just start building a man shit, brown. Oh, I'm out. I'm out, bro. I'm not gonna waste your time.

SPEAKER_04

That's why if I ever have like homies that want to play build, yeah, I always carry grenades on the cards.

SPEAKER_08

How do you feel about the new update?

SPEAKER_04

They got Cardi on the Oh, I've seen that shit's dope. I love how they're adding all these music people. My brother gets me uh the Tyler skin.

SPEAKER_08

Oh yo.

SPEAKER_04

Oh dude, I yeah, like I was drawing flash and I was just trying to like get my work done on time and stuff. Because you gotta like post on certain times, and I was just trying to meet that time. And so I'm like stressed out, trying to finish this flash. And my brother comes in, he's like, Hey, did you see that new titler skin? I'm like, bro, not yet. Like he was asking me to like show him, yeah, and I'm like, I'm low. He's like, I'm busy, I'm like, give me like give me like 20 minutes.

SPEAKER_06

Right.

SPEAKER_04

So I like kind of rushed him out, and then that time came up, and he's like, Can you show me now? I'm like, oh, and I'm like, got a god on. And he said, he says, it's next thing you know, it says uh that he gifted it to me. It's all right there, and I'm like, you motherfucker, bro.

SPEAKER_08

That's some sick shit, right?

SPEAKER_04

So I gotta I gotta go buy him um a rogue skin for Marble Rivals. Oh yeah. Because he loves Marble Rivals and he loves rogue. He loves rogue and gambit, right? Uh it just so happens that they're paired together as two favorite characters, right?

SPEAKER_08

You got a bundle kitter or what uh no, no, not a bundle.

SPEAKER_04

Well, they they just both recently came out.

SPEAKER_08

Oh, okay, word.

SPEAKER_04

But she has like uh a prehistoric um Amazonian style skin. So he's like, oh yeah, I need that.

SPEAKER_03

That's fire, bro. Who's your favorite Marvel character?

SPEAKER_04

Dude, that's hard. That's very, very hard. Um I would want to be like a basic person and say X-Men.

SPEAKER_08

Okay, okay. But I don't think that's basic. I think that's I feel like it's respectable. Yeah. Like that's an OG choice.

SPEAKER_04

I would have to say Hulk. Okay. Hulk is my favorite, bruh. Okay, mainly because it like it reminded me of my pops.

SPEAKER_08

Right.

SPEAKER_04

So, you know, like it just ever since then, and then it's green, it's green, green's my favorite color of all time. So kind of just stuck with them, bruh. Okay. And plus, like the holder bulk movies were always awesome, bruh.

SPEAKER_08

Yeah, the OG Hulk movies, bro. They always they I felt like they portrayed the best storylines back then. Like newer Marvel movies are great. But not but back then, the origin stories of them all, bro, it was something different. Like, that's how I feel about Transformers too. Like, they got all these new Transformer movies, and I've watched almost every single one of them except one. And it's just something about the one with um, I don't remember if it was um I don't know which Transformers it is, but it's the OG one where Homeboy's kicking the fuck out of Bumblebee. He's mad as hell because it won't start, and it's just that cutscene of him kicking the fuck out of it, bro. That had to be my favorite Transformers because it felt authentic.

SPEAKER_04

Was it a Shy LaBeau?

SPEAKER_08

Yes, yes, that one, yeah. Um I'm horrible with remembering art, you know, artist names and and actors and stuff on the book.

SPEAKER_04

Bro, it's like it's like a hit or miss movie. Yeah, it's interesting.

SPEAKER_08

Like I can I can name every Leonardo DiCaprio movie, but bro, that's my dog.

SPEAKER_04

I love that uh adaptation of Bromeo and Juliet.

SPEAKER_08

Bro, you know what I really fuck with that not a lot of people will fuck with is Shutter Island.

SPEAKER_04

Bro, that's a good movie.

SPEAKER_08

Shutter Island was such a fuck for me.

SPEAKER_04

Almost like that scared the shit out of me, bro.

SPEAKER_08

Ending of it, I I I tried to anticipate it, bro, but I still couldn't figure it out. I was like, there's no way it's ending.

SPEAKER_04

That was a very good movie.

SPEAKER_08

That was a great movie, bro. I I will watch that about four to five times a year.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah.

SPEAKER_08

Leo's sick, bro. He can pull up so many good characters, and obviously, like Wolf of Wall Street.

SPEAKER_04

That was a that was him him crowing out the Lambo is my favorite scene, bruh. Oh dude, I love that shit.

SPEAKER_08

Bro, he's such a G for that movie. I feel like that was one of the movies where people could like actors could really be themselves. They could have whoever they wanted to.

SPEAKER_04

Like him, Bernthal, and um Jonah Hill.

SPEAKER_08

Jonah Hill, bro.

SPEAKER_04

What a big one he has been spreading his wings and he's been doing a lot of like new movies and showing his range, bro. Yeah. And he's not just that big bunny guy. And how the pot you know, I like that about him, you know.

SPEAKER_08

And uh that dude is very versatile. I think I like that more about an actor more than anything. Like you can you can act good in one movie, but if you can do good in multiple different scenes, multiple different characters, like what can you not do?

SPEAKER_04

There's a movie with him and uh Miles Tower called War Dogs. That was a good one, bro.

SPEAKER_08

War Dogs, was that the one where they were uh arms teams? Arms dealers, yeah. Yeah, dude.

SPEAKER_04

They would like themselves go like travel the dangerous parts of like the Middle East and deliver uh like guns.

SPEAKER_08

Right, and then at one point they ended up having to make uh ammunition, right?

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, bro.

SPEAKER_08

That was a good movie, yeah. Bro, his laugh in that movie was fucking stupid. Oh my god, bro. What a that dude is very talented. I can lose back to the Marvel thing. I crazy to even say this. I've never been a fan of like Marvel or like Capcom and like very superhero movies or things like that. Like I would give it to Superman. Playing the PS2 Superman 2 game, bro.

SPEAKER_04

I never had it. No, I never had it. I never really was a big Superman person. I was always um I mean Spider-Man, my bad.

SPEAKER_08

Oh, Spider-Man? Oh dude.

SPEAKER_04

Okay, I played that game.

SPEAKER_08

Spider-Man 2 was the game, bro.

SPEAKER_04

Honestly, there I don't feel like there's any other better game than Spider-Man 1, because like when you finish the game, dudes, you can literally do anything.

SPEAKER_08

Anything, yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, dude, this this the web slinging, everything, bro.

SPEAKER_08

I'm telling you, bro, that was one of the games between that and uh sushi legacy.

SPEAKER_07

I would say that and Deadpool, but Deadpool's like sushi. Deadpool's good.

SPEAKER_04

But is he he's not necessarily a hero, so he's not a hero or he's a villain, but you know, he's awesome. Like he's awesome.

SPEAKER_08

In that in that term of like people with special abilities, I feel like he's one of those.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, he's one of those ones that he has like a whole uh comic series of him killing the Marvel universe. I haven't read it, but my little cousin said it was really good. The movies just always were just like Ryan Reynolds is perfect. Yes, bro, yeah, the wittiness, the coriness, the corniness, everything.

SPEAKER_08

The random moments that you're not anticipating, like yeah, he was he was made for that role, bro.

SPEAKER_04

He just elevates it to where it's gonna be.

SPEAKER_08

I think one character that I need to like really pick up on and I've been really interested in recently, but I found out I barely found out about a story was uh Silver Surfer.

Adventure Time, Fiona & Cake, And Horror Games

SPEAKER_04

Oh dude, Silver Surfer is dope. I I didn't know that there was a girl version, so like it kind of like threw me off at first. Yeah, because I'm not too into deep, but I know like some shit.

SPEAKER_01

Right.

SPEAKER_04

But once they like told me it's like, oh no, that's part of the story and stuff. I'm like, I'm like, if it's part of the story, then they're killing, they're killing it.

SPEAKER_08

He looked awesome, right? I haven't like I've seen Silver Surfer, but I've never like watched the movie, I've never really read anything about him until recently, and I was like, Oh yeah, I guess it's a sad story, yeah, bro. But it's a dope concept. It's like oh my god. I'm just thinking about it, like now I'm excited, but now I gotta go back to the dude.

SPEAKER_04

I really, I really want them to bring Keanu Reeves on for him, bro. Like, that's a good chemistry.

SPEAKER_08

That would be some cool chemistry, though.

SPEAKER_04

Because they they said he's already uh working on something or like working with them on something. And I was like, bro, that honestly is the first thing that came to mind. Because homie is so like philosophical.

SPEAKER_08

Yeah, no, I I almost struggled saying it too, bro. I do it all day long. But not yeah, dude, like he's perfect for that shit. Honestly, either way, yeah. Now that you say it, bro, that actually would be the dopest person to represent him.

SPEAKER_07

Wow.

SPEAKER_08

I hate the fact that like you know how like people always talk about people finding things on TikTok and everybody's just like, oh, you're barely finding out about this through TikTok? Like, bro, I feel I feel fucked up because I'm not that pointless Uber surfer and I'm like, I wish somebody knew more about him growing up, but I again I didn't have anybody around me who was like big into you know Marvel vs. Capcom uh content or like anything in regards to superheroes. And so when I'm thinking about or villains, so when I'm thinking about it, I'm like the only thing that really stuck out to me was Mr. Incredibles, bro. Like watching the Incredibles was like that was a superhero movie that I was really watching. Incredibles is the best.

SPEAKER_04

Incredibles was the best. I was really like into all the superheroes and stuff because all my older cousins, you know, they had all the action figures, all like the coolest like merchandise, like shirts, hats, everything. They have like furnaces, lunchboxes, clocks, you name it. So I'm just like, man, this stuff's so cool. Right. And you know, they would just teach me about it, and then why would I watch me play games about it? Um so I didn't know. It just grew to me asking for their um comic books and them trusting me with that, and it's it's like a whole new world, bro. Like I don't know a lot, but from what I have read and gandered upon, like it's really cool.

Battlefield Roles, Vehicles, And Skill Ceilings

SPEAKER_08

You know, one thing I will say I didn't grow up with was Star Wars. Okay, that's shit. I'll happily say that bro, because Star Wars growing up was like again, it's a different realm. Things that you could have never thought of, like creatures you've never seen before, like different planets and stuff, and I don't know where my personal passion for astronomy came from, but if I could find a route, it'd probably be Star Wars. Yeah, like the possibility of finding life on other planets and how they live and how they operate and stuff, and Star Wars is their portraction of that. The story of watching the clone wars, growing up playing Battlefront 2. Dude, Clone Wars was so clone wars was deep shit, bro. And I think they had it on uh Cartoon Network at one point.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, dude. I remember getting like the Burger King toys. Yeah, bro. The big ass heads on the ships.

SPEAKER_08

I think they had uh they had Toys and McDonald's and they had these little uh lightsaber, like I don't know if they it was okay, they had a lightsaber fork. I remember that for sure. No, I'm tripping. It wasn't McDonald's. It was the Cowbox series.

SPEAKER_04

Dude, look, I got that on my trash.

SPEAKER_08

You're lying!

SPEAKER_04

I made that, yeah. Bro, I want to tattoo that on somebody.

SPEAKER_08

That is an OG move, bro.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, I made those a while back. I mean, I need to make them again. I have them in like like all the colors.

SPEAKER_08

I think that'll be my next tattoo idea.

SPEAKER_04

Dude, I know, dude. I've been wanting to do that. I just finished um a piece for my homie. I did a skeleton hand holding um Luke Skywalker's green lightsaber dills. Man, honestly, that's my favorite Star Wars movie. Yeah.

SPEAKER_06

Um Return of the Jedi.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, you know, boys. That boy Luke comes in there with all the smoke, bruh. Like that was a like only time where we see that he is like touched by the dark side, but like he doesn't let it consume him.

SPEAKER_08

Right, like he still has that self-control.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah. That really like that really shows a lot, bro. That like how strong he is and like how like dedicated to himself and not just the force he is, bro. Bro, this it's it's awesome. See, like I'll talk about that bro, ever, because I love that shit. I'm I'm a sci-fi nerd, bro. I get it from my my dad. Dead ass when he'd come home, tell me he'd call my name and give give me the phone, uh give me the remote, you know, put it on the channel. You already know. Yeah, 244, man. 244 sci-fi channel. Yeah, we'd watch Stargate, uh, Lake Placid. Um what's like the spider movies? Like I hated those. He made me watch them all the time. Wait, wait, wait. Which ones? They're like huge ass spiders, and they just like yeah, they just like terrorize people. That or like uh it's like a Yeti one where people get like crash and get deserted and have to fight off a Yeti. Yeah, just like corny shit like that, bruh. I love that shit. I always grew up on it.

SPEAKER_08

That's actually pretty cool, bro. Like being able to like have that instilled in you as a child, I feel like it's different. Because it's like you grow with it and you and it grows with you, right? So look at how much Star Wars has evolved to this point. And then I don't know if you saw, I actually reshared it on Instagram, but uh Star Wars is coming out with a uh what do they call those? The uh the racers. The little the pod racers the pod racers they're coming out with a game specifically for races. For real? Yes, bro.

SPEAKER_04

And then I remember they have they had one back then. I used to play them all the time.

SPEAKER_08

They're they're making a new one starting next year. Um, and then they're also coming out with another Star Wars.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, Cena, it was the Republic one.

SPEAKER_08

Yes, uh the what was it? Um the Old Republic?

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, the Old Republic dude that game is gonna eat.

SPEAKER_08

I watched the trailer on that. I'm I'm ready for it. Have you played the new ones?

SPEAKER_04

The newer most recent ones with Calcestus? No. The ginger-looking guy? No, he's from Shameless.

SPEAKER_08

Okay, okay, yeah.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, dude, he kills that role. And people are like calling for him to get like a show adaption, which would be fucking awesome because one, they're giving all the cartoon characters their their light.

SPEAKER_08

Yes, bro.

SPEAKER_04

So I'm like, yeah, dude, throw them in there.

SPEAKER_08

No, that's crazy. I didn't even know about that. I haven't played none of the most recent ones.

SPEAKER_04

Um they're really fucking good.

SPEAKER_08

It's crazy because I kind of strayed away from Star Wars for a really long time. I don't know why. Like, maybe it was the love for Call of Duty and Battlefield that just kind of took me out.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah.

SPEAKER_08

But I think the last Star Wars I played honestly was the Forced Unleashed 2.

SPEAKER_04

Bruh, banger.

SPEAKER_08

Banger though.

SPEAKER_04

Banger, I remember playing on PSP.

SPEAKER_08

Bro.

SPEAKER_04

Banger.

SPEAKER_08

Bro, the forced unleashed after a long day of school, or like during summer break, winter break or Christmas break, bro, was when I first got the forced unleashed. And I played that game a week straight.

No-Build Fortnite, Skins, And Gifting

SPEAKER_04

I'm gonna dude, I literally almost cried when they like made you have to fucking kill Chewbacca.

SPEAKER_08

Nah bro, that was that was diabolical.

SPEAKER_04

That was diabolical. I was like, why do I gotta do this, bruh?

SPEAKER_08

Like that would that was so unnecessary, bro.

SPEAKER_04

Like I'm earned Han Solo easily, but Chewaka, bruh. Like, nah bro, not my boy.

SPEAKER_08

Chewy, bro. Those missions were noted though.

SPEAKER_04

Hell yeah, dude. You can change your color, your lightsaber.

SPEAKER_08

Yeah, the different gems.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, dude, that shit was legit, and you have to like find them.

SPEAKER_08

Yeah, it wasn't no easy just oh you finished the mission here, you got like nah, you have to find it.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, and you have to unlock shit.

SPEAKER_08

I'm not gonna lie, bro. I feel like I need to get back into the battlefront series, and I I have played So Toxic.

SPEAKER_04

One of the newer ones, but it's like you gotta you gotta be established in it.

SPEAKER_08

Yeah, bro, that's what sucks. You get in there while everybody's already been playing it for so long, you're just getting creamed. Like you're screwed.

SPEAKER_04

Like, if you don't know all their all their cards and upgrades are totally maxed out.

SPEAKER_08

Oh my god. I tried playing it at the homies house one time and I gave up mid-game. I was like, I love this shit, the graphics look amazing, uh-huh, but uh I don't I don't stand a chance, bro.

SPEAKER_04

Bro, one of my brothers' homies came over and was like trying to get us to download it because it was like free. Yeah, but I'm like, bro, I'm not playing that. Like, I would have had fun if I started playing a long time ago, yeah, and had all the upgrades, but not now, bro, because people people suck, dude.

SPEAKER_08

Yes, bro. Yes. And that's why I'm like, I appreciate Battlefield for what it is, because I mean, yeah, you're gonna experience that in any multiplayer game of people having higher skills than somebody barely starting out. But at least it's not like no meta shit. Like, you're not worried about some dude who's got the most buffed gun in the game, and there's just no stopping him. Like, there's only one or two guns that can stop this dude, and you gotta grind until you're like a level 50 to get to it. Like, I hate that shit, bro. No, no power-ups, no nothing. Just raw, run, gun, use what you got. If you suck, you suck. If you're good, you're good. But I don't know. Star Wars was just I feel like the storyline of Star Wars was always better than the multiplayer of it all. Um trying to think of the I don't know if it was Battlefront too, the one on the PSP where you could travel to um it was that Cashi.

SPEAKER_01

Cashi?

SPEAKER_08

Yeah. And you could play as like Boba Fat. Um I think it was Battlefront. I want to say it was Battlefront. That was the I'm pretty sure that was the only one I had on PSP.

SPEAKER_04

There's that or there's I know that there was like a Mandalorian game that they had.

SPEAKER_08

I never got to play that one. Did you end up watching the Mandalorian on Mandalorian?

SPEAKER_04

Hell yeah, dude. I I love Star Wars, so I'll I'll give it a chance and consume whatever type of media it has, but I'll really I'll I'll judge harshly. Yeah because like I love Star Wars, but I I love a good storytelling. Right. So like if it doesn't have good storytelling, out of there.

Marvel Favorites, Silver Surfer, And Casting Dreams

SPEAKER_08

Exactly. It's like watching a TV show. It's got hella filler episodes. It's like bro, I'm not I'm not sticking around for all that. Yeah, crazy enough I've like speaking of filler episodes, it's crazy enough I've been actually watching uh Breaking Bad for the first time.

SPEAKER_04

Dude, I was literally having a conversation with my PlayStation homies about how good that fucking show is.

SPEAKER_08

Bro, and it's like I haven't I haven't watched a single filler episode.

SPEAKER_04

Straight to action season three bro, we were having uh legit conversations about this because two of our homies was like, yeah, dude, like we fell asleep. Like we couldn't even, we couldn't even like stay awake for like the first season, the first season. I'm like, bro.

SPEAKER_08

What? That's that's diabolical.

SPEAKER_04

I'm like, you're probably watching when you not you need to go meet me.

SPEAKER_08

Yeah, bro. I mean, I've literally stayed up fighting my sleep watching those episodes because I'm like, no, I gotta get to the Bible and shit. I can't I can't just stop hearing it and continue letting.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah.

SPEAKER_08

But like I can't think of a single episode that I was just like, uh, I'm gonna just go to bed, fuck this shit.

SPEAKER_04

Like that shit was so good.

SPEAKER_08

Man, that that is one of the most hooked I've ever been on any TV series other than The Walking Dead.

SPEAKER_04

And that was during that was really good.

SPEAKER_08

That was like 2016, 2017 when I was watching The Walking Dead, bro. I was sick from school. We came back for Christmas break. I was sick for a whole week and a half. Brother, I watched the entire I think it was I think I think in a week and a half I finished from start to finish all The Walking Dead.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, it was good for a while. Kind of so you're caught up?

SPEAKER_08

Yeah, yeah, I finished the whole thing.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, I I stopped when Glenn died.

SPEAKER_08

Yeah, no, no, no, no, no, that's real, that's real, that's real. Because I was just like, there's no way. What's the next story gonna be? I was so disappointed because I was just like, You slime Glenn out?

SPEAKER_04

Ooh, that shit made me so pissed. Even though it was in the comics, I s it made me piss.

SPEAKER_08

The craziest part is I didn't even read the comics.

SPEAKER_04

Oh, dude, I read the I like I I read some of it before because I was impatient, and then I found out that he died. I was like, oh, I read too much.

SPEAKER_08

I read too much. Oh man, you fucked around and found out.

SPEAKER_05

No, for real.

SPEAKER_08

And and his death wasn't brutal, man. He didn't hold back for shit. It wasn't no cutscene, it wasn't no, they slamed his ass out and then went on to the next. No cause break or nothing just really. That's like one of the most gruesome deaths I've seen in any of these. Oh boy, right. Oh boy. There was that was like that was like one of the most controversial deaths of any TV series.

SPEAKER_04

And like a lot of people didn't know that this came from a comic book. So everyone else is writing off the same emotions, and that's what I like.

SPEAKER_08

Oh my god. They knew how to keep people on their seat, but one thing I hated about the market was that they had functioning. And it was towards the season after the win died. If I could go back and rewatch it, I wouldn't like if I could rewatch it, for the first time I get it.

SPEAKER_04

I always tell people how I was like raised in front of a TV show.

SPEAKER_08

Which I feel like is cool because like when it comes to conversating with people and like understanding the context of certain situations or like having those reference points that you understand. Not everybody understands that. And it pisses me off because people are like, oh, that remember that reminds me of that one time when blah blah blah I'm like, I don't know what you're talking about. Like Talladega Nights, bro.

SPEAKER_04

Oh my god, that's my movie.

SPEAKER_08

I didn't watch Talladega Nights for the first time until last year when my homie Julian put me on, so that's my brother for real. He didn't put me on the club.

SPEAKER_04

Have you watched Old School? No. Dark. That's one. That's one. I'm I will stand on it. Will Earl is the GOAT comedian.

SPEAKER_08

Oh yeah, he is.

SPEAKER_04

He is the GOAT comedian. There's a lot. But for me, it's him, bro.

SPEAKER_08

I feel like I just, even when it came to like comedy movies, I didn't really watch anything like that. Like so, growing up where I grew up, we didn't really watch movies together as a fan. Like there was only a handful of times I could really remember that we all sat down and watched a movie, and even then, like most of the time it wasn't a movie that we wanted to watch. Like it was something that my mom my dad was fucking with. There's something that like we were like, eh, I guess we'll watch this. Like fucking um the movie Paul.

SPEAKER_04

Oh, I love Paul, bro.

SPEAKER_08

The movie Paul was so legit, bro. But like I was watching that when I was I was like 15 14?

SPEAKER_04

Yeah.

Star Wars Love: Clone Wars To Podracing

SPEAKER_08

Something like that. And I wasn't even interested in it at that time because I was just like, what are we watching?

SPEAKER_04

I love that movie because the the people who made it or the people from this movie called Hot Buzz. Never heard of it. No. Never heard of it. That's a good one too. The same guys, it's the it's the same guys. Um and then they have one where um I forgot what it's called, but it's such a good one. Where um the they kill zombies.

SPEAKER_08

Oh, you're talking about um the one where they're talking about the fucking Twinkies and shit?

SPEAKER_04

No, no, that's Zombie Land.

SPEAKER_08

Oh, okay, I was gonna say. Um, it's crazy because I like again I can't understand references, dog. Like it fucking sucks. And I say that because like like homies will reference shit from uh pulp fiction. I'm like, I don't know what the fuck that like.

SPEAKER_04

That's a deep cut. I usually I usually like I watched it, but I usually quote like comedies, bro.

SPEAKER_07

Yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_04

Uh dude, man, like I'll I'll quote Sandler movies, I'll quote like fucking ice cube movies, Chris Tucker.

SPEAKER_08

I'll quote some shit from like Bernie Mack. That's yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_04

I love that show. I had rewatched it the other day.

SPEAKER_08

That dude was that dude was so ahead of his time. Jordan, mighty cry. Jordan, god damn it. Oh shit, Jordan's kind of a girlfriend.

SPEAKER_04

He's gonna play double dutch of her, bro. Oh my god.

SPEAKER_08

Bro, I'm telling you, Bernie Mac's comedy sketches were her skits were just out of this world. Like, that's another thing too, like comedy is like it took me so long to appreciate comedy. Yeah. Not just stand up, but just comedy in general.

SPEAKER_04

Like have you watched Oh my bad. Have you watched uh Knocked Up?

SPEAKER_08

No.

SPEAKER_04

I'm just gonna send you a list. You have to at this point.

SPEAKER_08

That's what I'm saying. Like, there's only a handful of stuff that I watched. A lot of it growing up, which is more or less like classics, monsters game, cars, fucking. Oh, it's classics for sure. Just simple though. Like I I never like till this day, even though I love Star Wars a lot, I haven't seen all the movies.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, it's it's it's a long, it's a long journey for that, bro. Like you have to really sit down and and watch those and and comprehend them at that. Mm-hmm. It takes a while.

SPEAKER_08

And then trying to keep up with storylines. If you miss if you miss one movie, then you don't understand certain contexts in the next one, bro. I think it's very hard to jump into something that's already been established for so long. Um But I don't think it's impossible.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, it's not impossible. You just gotta put time.

SPEAKER_08

Yeah. Like I jumped into Walking Dead when they were on season three or four.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah.

SPEAKER_08

But then like I liked it so much, I was like, nah, I don't understand half the shit. I gotta rewatch the whole from the first from the start.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah.

SPEAKER_08

And that's where my passion came from it. But I'm also not in a position to be able to sit down and watch shit for that long, considering. I mean, we got the podcast at work. Yeah.

SPEAKER_04

Car club, like it's just you guys, you you feel like you'd rather be doing something else.

SPEAKER_08

Honestly, it's productive too. I like being productive, but I sometimes I wish I could just bed rock more.

SPEAKER_04

Sometimes though you got to. Yeah. Just for your for your sake of your mental, but it's real good too. Um just just yeah, just for your mental because you can always control everything.

SPEAKER_08

You can't, and then on top of that, I feel like running yourself in strain from just being so busy all the time. Like it's a blessing, but it's a curse. I don't think um I don't think I'll ever find that perfect pitch or get to that point to where I'm like, okay, this is the perfect balance of it all. I've worked so many different jobs of like, oh, I get to work a short amount of hours and I get to rot and do what I want to, but then there's no money.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_08

So it's like, yeah, you get limited hours of working, you get to hang out with the homies all the time, but I'm not where I want to be financially. So then I tackle a job where I'm working hella hours, making hella money.

SPEAKER_04

And then you have no time for anyone. For not shit. It's so it's so weird how the world works like that. Because I remember there would be a period of time where I'd be working non-stop, and then my homies would be going out, they'd be going out to like car meets and stuff a long time ago. And then I'd just be at work. And then finally when I get those like like kind of lenient days off, they're all fucking they have girlfriends and stuff. Oh bro. And then so like I'm like, damn, what do I do?

Storytelling Over Meta: Battlefront Realities

SPEAKER_08

It sucks being the single one in a group of ponies and they're all fucking cupped up. Cause it's like, even if when they all do hang out, they're bringing the girls.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah.

SPEAKER_08

And they're like, oh, we're gonna be doing a fucking quad date.

SPEAKER_04

Which I don't mind, it's just you your girl has to be like cool. Yeah, bro. Like, don't be on no cupcaking shit. Please, bro.

SPEAKER_08

Please don't be on that cupcake shit. And that's one thing that like I can appreciate from some of the homies, like, they're on that level. Yeah. If they understand, alright, don't be eating your girl's fucking face while we're out here trying to have some fun at fucking whatever the fuck we're doing. You know what I'm saying?

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, no, it's a time and a place.

SPEAKER_08

If we're out playing fucking pool and it's your turn to fucking hit the final strike, and I'm sitting here waiting for you.

SPEAKER_04

That's just coming from experience, right?

SPEAKER_08

Too personal. Too personal. I I genuinely, man, I love the fact that my homies that I hang around have separated that. It's okay, like I understand the honeymoon phase and the fucking rose-colored glasses being on when you first meet up with somebody and stuff. Like again, there's a time in the phase. Yeah, bro. I I Oh my god, I see that too many times. I can understand it. I've been there.

SPEAKER_04

Dude, that's what I'm going for, bro. My family looked at me crazy when I said, I never want to get married, I never want to have kids, because they're like, who's gonna who's gonna like carry the name, the Lopez in it? Because it's just me and my brothers. Right. It's just me and my brothers who can do it. We're all like, bro, we don't fucking want kids.

SPEAKER_08

Yeah. I think about it all the time, bro, but I feel like raising a kid in this fucking environment is like.

SPEAKER_04

Not only not only in this environment, but there's just not. I was gonna say, there's just there's there's not women in here that I feel like that are right for mothers.

SPEAKER_08

And you know the craziest part about that is, bro, is it's it's so sad that we have to like I'm not saying like you have to be a mom to fucking when you grow up to be a woman, that's your first thing to be a mom. No, it's just the qualities of a mother are not there.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, yeah, yeah. That's what it lacks.

SPEAKER_08

It's and then and then the entitlement and then the The entitlement kills me, bro. The whole situation of toxicity, right? Now I think the hard part is about our generation is the fact that the women that are in our generation did not have a good example of what a partner should be.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah.

SPEAKER_08

Um, not a mother, but a partner. Sometimes a mother too, depending on the situation. And this doesn't go for everyone, so please don't come out for me. But um, in terms of like not having a prime example of what you should be like, or an inspiration of a woman that you aspire to be like, there's a lack of that, largely lack of uh there's a lack of accountability, accountability, a lack of um what's it called uh like just genuine feelings, bro.

Breaking Bad, Walking Dead, And Grief

SPEAKER_04

Like actually just caring, bro. Like you want me to stop my world for you, but just one time, just one time if I stop my world, or you stop my world for you or whatever, or like you know, other way around other way around, it's like a whole big deal. And I'm just like bruh.

SPEAKER_08

It's like, and that's the thing too, is the mutual understanding, like in order for, in my opinion, what I've experienced, in order for a relationship to really work and last, um, there has to be a level of maturity, mental maturity and emotional maturity for it to work. Because at the end of the day, like you came in to the relationship as a person, you had your own background, your own lifestyle, things you were already taking care of and doing.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah.

SPEAKER_08

Hobbies, whatever you want to call it, lifestyle, whatever. And so did that other person. If one person voluntarily sacrifices their lifestyle to adapt to yours, it's it can work, but only if both parties accept it.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah.

SPEAKER_08

Not a, oh, I gave away everything, I stopped hanging out with my friends, I stopped doing X, Y, and Z to be with you, and then it gets thrown in their face and it's like, well, I never told you to do that. Nor were there boundaries or anything that forced you to do that. Um, I think in terms of like equality in relationships, it's not there anymore. And I'm gonna blame social media for it.

SPEAKER_04

Oh, yeah. Social media has all the blame.

SPEAKER_08

I'm gonna blame social media for the oh, you should never have to, like, a woman should never have to pay for a day. Hey, if you believe in that, you believe in that, but don't force somebody else's mindset into that. People are so easily influenced into believing what somebody else's relationship is like and believe that's what they're that's what they want, and then they do that, and they're like, damn, that's not really what I wanted. Now you're just going around injuring people, breaking people's hearts, and confusing people.

SPEAKER_04

I had someone that would just literally text me when it's time to go out. And I'm like, you don't talk to me, why would I want to talk to you? And then like you call me drunk at 3 a.m. Like, why would like why would why would you think I would want to talk to you fucking drunk if you won't even want to talk to me sober like that? That shit ain't cute. Like, don't call me drunk at fucking 3 a.m. I'm my ass is asleep. Bro hit you with the call me when you're sober, come over when you're sober.

SPEAKER_08

Yeah, I think the craziest part about that is the fact that like the definition of a relationship is so broad, but it could be so simple, right?

SPEAKER_03

Yeah.

SPEAKER_08

So a relationship could be meaning two people coming together with a mutual understanding and passion and care for one another, love for one another. But then you also have the situation of like people saying, Oh, but my relationship is very open and I let my partner do whatever they want to. Or, oh, my my relationship is very closed off, like they can't go out without me, or they can't go out with their friends, it's disgusting. But if the mutual understanding of you can go hang out with your friends, and I'm not gonna trip about it, I have my trust in you, and vice versa, if it's understood on both sides, and y'all can be mature about it, it'll work, it'll it'll last forever. I feel like as long as everything else around that is is healthy and beautiful, then yeah, 100%. But boundaries, respecting boundaries and crossing lines, bro, that's that'll do it. And somebody sacrificing more of their own to make you happy and not having that sacrifice reciprocated, like if I told you, if I told you, um, let's just make something up. What if I told you, okay, in order for me to be happy, you can only go out with your friends twice in a month.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah. And you honestly, that's a lot.

SPEAKER_08

I barely see my friends that that much. So let's just say that was that was my deal. And you said, okay, yeah, I can do that. And you say, Okay, but in return, I need you to let's just say, come to come to every other family event. And I say, no, that's just not acceptable. I'm not doing that. And you decide, you know what, fuck it, I'll still do it just to make you happy. Yeah. Slowly but surely, that okay, that now we're looking at a 60-40 relationship. Because you sacrificed your happiness to make sure that other person was happy, but they didn't sacrifice for you. So now you're slowly declining, slowly declining in your head when certain circumstances come up and you're like, Why did I sacrifice that? Like, what did I even gain out of that? What are they doing for me? And you start questioning that, and and it's like it gets to a point to where you're unhappy and you end up bringing it up, and then you bring it up, and now it's a problem. Yeah. Uh, brother, I think it all starts with sacrifices and mutual understandings and maturity. If it doesn't have those in a relationship, but it ain't gonna be.

SPEAKER_04

Yes, but you spend comparing me to some loser, I'm fucking gone.

SPEAKER_08

Yeah, bro, because that constant, oh but my ex didn't, oh but my ex did this, and then it's like nah yeah, like this this girl had like some belief that I was following every like Instagram model or whatever.

Comedy Gaps, Leo Films, And Cult Classics

SPEAKER_04

Oh fuck. And I'm like, bro, literally my whole page is tattoos, anime, and just like anime memes, bro.

SPEAKER_08

Right, right, right. And then that's another thing too, is it's just that's when it becomes controlling. That's when it becomes like a that's a whole nother situation. You know, sometimes I kind of wish like you know how they said that the saying is ignorance is bliss. Yeah. Sometimes I just wish I was ignorant to a lot of this shit because it it drives me crazy. And it's not overthinking, it's not overanalyzing situations, it's the truth in what drives a relationship to the ground or what helps it build to something great. Being able to recognize patterns, being able to recognize like when somebody's deflecting or when somebody's accusing you of doing shit because they're doing it behind your back. And I I'm like sometimes I just wish I didn't know about none of that.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_08

I think that's a part of maturing like mentally, is understand emotionally, is understanding that people can play games and people will do you dirty in this time, in this day and age.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah.

SPEAKER_08

So you build these walls in hopes that you find someone that can come with that mutual understanding, but now if you do that, right? Both of your guys' walls are up, and you guys are just constantly like, nah, this motherfucker's cheating. Like, nah, this motherfucker, like, there's no way this is too good to be true. There's no way.

SPEAKER_04

Oh, bro.

SPEAKER_08

And then you push that person away, and it's like, okay, now literally in my bed saying, Oh, do you even like me?

SPEAKER_04

Oh hell no. Oh hell no.

SPEAKER_08

Bro, and then and then that's another thing, bro. Anxious attachment styles and avoiding attachment styles and dude.

SPEAKER_04

Literally, like that shit was like trending on my TikTok when all this shit was happening. Oh bro, don't you say TikTok is giving me all the answers?

SPEAKER_08

Fucking crazy, didn't it? It listen, bro. I hate TikTok because when it when a situation goes down and reads me like a fucking book, it doesn't stop. Until I get the answer I need.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah.

SPEAKER_08

Until I get the answer I need, bro. Um I do think that reading into anxious attachment styles and avoiding attachment styles has reshaped my entire perspective of relationships and previous relationships and ones moving forward. And it's just like I wish they would found out about that shit. I wish but the and I think there's a saying about this too, is it's the pros and cons of knowing is that you know, but the con is that you now you wish you didn't know.

SPEAKER_04

That's why I don't go through no phones. I'm gonna do nothing. I'm I'm gonna go, bro. Like, if you got something to say, you say it to me. Like, I don't have to go through no phones. Like it's the fact that if it if it gets to that, I'm done. Like I'm not going through no phones.

SPEAKER_08

I'm telling you, bro, I didn't, I didn't, I'm so glad that like I'm seeing more of that. Like in its trending, like, nah, I ain't going through no phone, bro. I did that one time, and I'm not gonna lie to you, it it pissed me off more than anything because it's like, how do I have the proof right in front of me and you still denying it?

SPEAKER_04

Yeah.

SPEAKER_08

You're a piece of shit. There's no there's no other explanation. I have the proof right here. There's no way you can back out of this situation. You have to hold yourself accountable, you gotta tell the truth. Yeah. And you still don't do none of those things. Alright, bro, you got it. I you got it, you won't, you got it. I can't fight and argue with someone who can't take accountability or someone who won't admit that they're wrong. And the thing is, too, is I've noticed in a lot of women, it's like they'll argue you to try and save their their the the pride of being wrong or or getting caught doing shit. So they argue with you, they twist and turn your words, and they do X, Y, and Z to deflect. Whatever. You end the argument, you end the conversation, whatever. And then maybe a day later, a few weeks later, whatever, then they apologize. The apology don't mean shit to me no more. I'm already already mensily clocked out and fucking gave myself the clarity that I needed to, and the apology that I needed.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah.

SPEAKER_08

But the apology would have been nice if you would have just came to the understanding and agreement right then and there during the conflict that like, okay, you know what? Maybe I was wrong, maybe I overreacted, X, Y, and Z. But I've I don't think I've met. I think I can say I've met a handful of women that have had those attributes.

SPEAKER_04

One's a no.

SPEAKER_08

One is enough. One is a no. But it's like you said, relationships in this day.

SPEAKER_04

Might as well just say happy alone, bro. Which is a negative. Fucking way to see it, but there's always someone out there. A lot of crappy fucking people. You gotta get through them first, I guess.

SPEAKER_08

The love of your life is not in present of California.

SPEAKER_04

It is not in president of California, bro.

SPEAKER_08

Fuck no. I happily say like I'm grateful for the relationships that I was in.

SPEAKER_04

Oh, I definitely learned a lot.

SPEAKER_08

Because I learned so much, bro.

SPEAKER_04

And it's not like I'm gonna go around and say, oh, I'm perfect through every situation.

SPEAKER_08

No, no, no.

SPEAKER_04

But like shit, bro, a handful of them was not the problem. I was a problem sometimes, and one of them, but like it wasn't really a problem.

SPEAKER_08

To admit that you're Wrong, it's good though. Yeah. There's so many people that have been in relationships where they just cannot fucking agree.

SPEAKER_04

There's so many things I've learned. So many. Um, especially like patience-wise. Yeah. Um I never really had a problem with like respect because that's what I go off of for everybody. So like I don't like that's my thing. I I've never called any of the girls or women that I've been with a bitch. I never degrade them. That's just not, yeah, it's just it's not me, bruh. It's just I don't get ugly like that. I like I don't like to yell and scream and fight because there's no point getting nowhere.

SPEAKER_08

Don't get nowhere, bro.

SPEAKER_04

And it's so funny too, like when my last one where I was like so calm, so patient, you know, I heard her out. I made sure I, you know, the big thing with me growing up is not listening, not shutting up and listening. You know, so like I learned that a lot over these past couple years. Right. And so I think my um emotional maturity kind of scared her in a way where she knew she couldn't manipulate me into anything that she wanted just to make her feel safe.

SPEAKER_02

Damn, bro.

SPEAKER_04

And that's it, it sucks, bro, because like all the shit that I've been through and like that I go I continue to go through, and you still want to make it about yourself, and just like you're too pretty to be acting like that.

SPEAKER_08

That and you know the saddest part is bro, be the prettiest ones with the deepest issues, but I learned that from talking experience.

SPEAKER_04

But I I I genuinely like all the I legit all I wanted to do was to worship this woman's like feet just on the turf, bruh.

SPEAKER_08

Like literally, like just kiss the walk she That was my own goal.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, it's legit. I just wanted to worship the ground she walks on, and I couldn't even do that. I know, bro. Shit's crazy.

Work, Time, And Finding Balance

SPEAKER_08

Listen, bro. I it's so crazy hearing your story because I relate to that shit so bad, and I I know there's a lot of people that are probably listening and hearing that shit and being like, damn, like I'm glad I'm not the only person who's gone through this.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, there's a lot of good people out there that just meet shitty people.

SPEAKER_08

And a lot of it too is just lack of I'm not gonna say self-reflect. Broken homes too. Broken homes, but lack of um it's not intuition, but introspection. Lack of being able to be like, you know what, I have a problem. Maybe I should look into this. Yeah. Lack of being like, you know what, maybe I was the problem. I need to apologize to this person, or I need to see a therapist, you know what I'm saying?

SPEAKER_04

Like, accountability, rather.

SPEAKER_08

How can you accountability? Never, but it's like, how do you watch your upbringing and you see your parents and you see it's not healthy, and then you see like you watch movies, right? Yeah, you watch TV shows, you see people being in love, you see all these different ideologies of love, but then you still choose to only do the negative. You still only choose to deflect and and and just the bad shit, the cheating, the the hiding shit, like knowing your parents went through that, and you've seen the pain that it caused, but you still rather continue it. You'd rather mirror that instead of fix it. I watched both of my parents, like, you know, gratefully, I had both of my parents in my life, but it wasn't the best uh, how do I say, depiction of what a relationship should be like. I watched my mom stick through a relationship all of my life because she didn't want to leave and give me a broken home. Even though, you know, there was abuse there, mentally, physically, whatever you want to call it. You see those things as a kid, you witness it, and you're like, damn. Like, I don't want to replicate that. I don't want to be in a relationship where I feel like I'm trapped because I had a child with this person, but I knew I shouldn't have because this person is X, Y, and Z. Yeah. Or I don't want to have to put my life on the line, or my heart, or my health, over somebody else because they're being negligent towards my feelings and how I am and what I got going on.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah.

SPEAKER_08

So it's like I feel bad for those who don't have that tool of introspection and being able to fix themselves. But I don't because at the same time, you see the I know they see the negative patterns. I know they see that they know that they need to get help, but they don't care enough to do it and just keep hurting people because it's not hurting them. That's the fucked up part, dude.

SPEAKER_07

That's the fucked up part.

SPEAKER_08

And it's crazy too, because like I self-reflect a lot. And I realized I went from having an anxious attachment style to avoidant, back to anxious, back to avoidant, and then I realized I was like, wait a minute. I mean, what why am I going back and forth? I was like, I need to learn to balance this shit.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_08

And then I did it. And then I ended up getting with someone who was a avoidant. And then, you know, I don't know if you know, well, I I know you've done your research and stuff, but they say when someone who's an avoidant gets with someone who is mentally and emotionally mature, that matured person gives them that space.

SPEAKER_04

Oh, dude, you're giving you're giving me fucking Vietnam flashbacks.

SPEAKER_08

You give them that space, but it's still not enough.

SPEAKER_04

Oh dude.

SPEAKER_08

You bro.

SPEAKER_04

I've I've had someone literally cry at me and then avoid me and over a situation that was looked bad on my part. Right. But you know, I was trying my best to communicate and then just shut down. And then what I've learned is if you're talking to someone that's just shutting down, yeah and says, leave me alone, let me go, you know, you let them go.

SPEAKER_08

You you you like, let them do their thing.

SPEAKER_04

Let them do their thing. Because the last thing you need is is an altercation, is a is a issue. Somebody exploding. Somebody expl like somebody exploding, bro. Mad words are not the best words to use. No, they are not, bro.

SPEAKER_08

Fucking hey, and then I think it's like, what do you do? Like you're damned if you do, you're damned if you don't. You give them the space, and you have to keep yourself mentally sane, thinking, okay, it's alright, uh things will be better. But you can't talk it out with them because they want their distance.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, and then like bro, like, I give them the distance, and then literally the next morning she's over here mad as fuck at me. Because I didn't text her if she got home safe, I didn't text her good night, and I'm like, bro, you literally just said you didn't even want to fucking look at me. Bro, like what? Like, bro. Like, no, like if you tell me to give you space, I'm gonna give you space. I'm gonna respect that space. That's that's what I what I came into here like putting on the table is respect.

SPEAKER_08

Yeah. Like if you say you need something, I'm gonna give you what you need. Yeah, but don't be mad at me when I give you what you asked for. Like facts. That is the craziest shit I ever thought. I feel like eventually it just gets to a point where you just gotta choose yourself, and I think uh that's one of the most recent things that I've learned is like it's okay to choose yourself. And it's not selfish to choose yourself over somebody else's emotions and feelings. Especially when they prioritize their own before yours, anyway. So like you're not a bad guy for doing that, and even if they portray you that way, so be it.

Relationships, Boundaries, And Social Media

SPEAKER_04

I legit had to go to my grandma's funeral when my parents are born, and this girl is giving me issues. So, like, I 100% understand that. Like, it's just crazy, bro. People just don't think about your feelings, they just want to put their feelings to be oh what's it called, invalidated all the time. Yeah, already, bro.

SPEAKER_08

And then if you do that to them, like you're enabling it, you're not helping them fix it, they're just enabling the problem. That's the saddest part, bro. I just want to say I'm grateful to be able to have the people that I have around me. Um and even just like conversations like these, because it helps a lot. Um being able to understand, like, I'm not the only person feeling this emotion, I'm not the only person going through it, and people can relate to it. I know I'm not tripping, I know I'm not overreacting or or you know, um overthinking situations.

SPEAKER_04

You're my bad if I'm pinching that out.

SPEAKER_08

No, I I can't even feel that, brother. You're good. Um, but it's just crazy because growing up, I always felt like I had lover boy syndrome. Like I was just like, like, give a girl the world. Like, like you said, worship the ground that girl walks on. And I did that because watching how my dad treated my mom when I was growing up, I was like, I never want my girl to go through that.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah. And so you You never want to be that type of man.

SPEAKER_08

Bro, but then you do that, and then these women are like, oh, I got myself a fucking thing.

SPEAKER_04

They take you as they take you as a trick, or like, you know, it's like that's not the business.

SPEAKER_08

Not the business, bro.

SPEAKER_04

That's not the business. If you want a trick, you go one of those OnlyFans supporters.

SPEAKER_08

Oh bro. Bro, crazy. But you know what? It is what it is. Grateful for the experiences, grateful for the heartbreaks, the painful days, the fucking all needs you somewhere.

SPEAKER_04

It's a map. Yeah. It's it's everyone's map's different. Um may have the same grooves and the same turns. Yeah. But you know, like all the time. It's your route. You take it how you take it. Other people get easier routes, other people get those partners on the first try, which they fucking suck. Yeah. But you know, it happens. You know, everyone is destined to be happy in their own ways. Right. And figure that out in their own ways. Absolutely. Whether if it's bad or good. And not all experience is good experience, but it makes you. It makes you.

SPEAKER_08

I'm tired of the character development, God. Please stop.

SPEAKER_04

Exactly, bro.

SPEAKER_08

Literally the fucking winner arc. Good God. I haven't hit the gym yet, so I guess it's not serious enough.
