Hello, welcome back to the Claim, your Awesome podcast. I'm your host, jess, and I'm so excited for you to be here today, because we are talking about money. We're getting into the really juicy stuff and I personally think all things are juicy, but people really love to hear about how they can make more money, manifest more money, attract more money, have more money, keep more money all the things money. So that's what we're doing today and really this episode is going to be centered around healing limiting beliefs when it comes to money, about reprogramming the thoughts that are no longer serving you if you want to attract more money into your life. So I'm going to give you a really beautiful, well-rounded, tangible view on manifesting more money. But we are going to specifically get into some of the nitty-gritty with healing your own money, blocks, your own money stories, because that's really when the work gets good and when the work gets so much easier and when you really are able to start attracting those things that you want in your life money and other things Because really, what I'm sharing here, while I'm specifically gearing it towards money, this exact framework can be used for anything that you want to manifest, anything that you want to experience more of in your physical reality. So why is it necessary to heal money beliefs? To attract more money.
Speaker 1:And this is where so many of us just don't even realize what a big deal this is. And I've said it before. But your thoughts create your beliefs and your beliefs create your reality. So, even in this moment, you can pause for a second, reflect, think about how does your current reality not look the way that you want it to look? And then step back a little bit and see, okay, around this specific thing that I want, that I don't currently have. What beliefs do I have about this thing? For one, I can surely say if there is something that you are desiring, there's something that you're wanting. Your thought is that you don't have it. So your thought instantly is that some level of scarcity or lack, because you're focused on wanting this thing that you don't have. And right there, just right out of the gate, there's resistance. Right, because there's lack and scarcity and that's resistance that's not going to attract money or anything else that you want to manifest into your life.
Speaker 1:So, again, when we do the work to heal these outdated money beliefs, these old money stories, these programs that are hardwired into our brains around money. When you do the work to heal those, you create new neural pathways, you're creating new thoughts, which create new beliefs, and that is what is required for you to change your physical reality, for you to manifest what you want in your life. And I say it all the time, but you're manifesting all the time, right, it's not something that you're like I'm going to start manifesting things, like, no, we're all doing it. A manifestation is simply a thought that we had, an idea, a desire, something that we had in our brain that has now come to fruition, that has now manifested in your physical world. So you're doing that all the time anyway, right, you have a thought that you want to go out and get a new MacBook or you need to do that, and then you go do it, or then maybe one comes into your life in a more magical way, but it's all the same thing. I think that we get stuck on this idea of manifestation as being this really woo woo thing that not everyone is capable of, or something that you have to do. But no, you're just doing it all the time, and the magic is figuring out how to manifest things that you actually want to experience and stop having the same circumstances, the same movie play out for you, especially if it's not one that aligns with what you really desire in your heart and what you really want to see more of and experience more of. So that is why it's so important to do some of this deeper money work.
Speaker 1:So let's start by really just talking about money stories and money beliefs. And these beliefs, for you, come from and for all of us, come from things that we experienced as a kid, typically between the ages of like seven and 10. And you can, I'm sure, as I'm saying this, I'm sure as I start to read the list of some of these money beliefs, some of them will resonate with you, some of them will not, but just know that you can start to figure out what your own beliefs are, what your own blocks are, simply by, just literally, you could sit down and write on paper what are my thoughts about money and just start listing out all the things, and you'll start to see. Okay, maybe my mom used to say money doesn't grow on trees, or like it comes from again your childhood. It's so innocent. It's simply just how your brain and like your thoughts, developed around the caretakers in your life, whether it be parents or otherwise and their views on money, other things that you were exposed to when it comes to money, and it's all really innocent.
Speaker 1:Unfortunately, we develop these beliefs when we were too young to realize that we have control over how we react to things and that we have control over what thoughts we choose to adopt into beliefs. We're too young at that point to understand all that, so it just unconsciously happens. And now we're in adulthood and fortunately there are now tools to heal those beliefs and change your reality and start to attract and manifest the money that you want to see and create and that you desire in your life. Okay, so let's dive into some of these money beliefs, these money stories, and, as I read through them just again, I'm sharing them just to help you become aware of what some of your own beliefs may be. Some of your own stories may be around money and just really kind of get you thinking about what that is. And also, as I read through these, you can feel if you have any resistance around some of the things that I say, because where there is resistance, that's an invitation for work to be done and, again, it doesn't need to be met with fear or anxiety. It's actually really beautiful when we're noticing something like oh, that's an opportunity for me to grow and really that's the best way to look at. Everything in life is always an opportunity.
Speaker 1:So there's never enough money. Making money is hard. You have to work really hard to make a lot of money. Rich people are mean, bad, unhappy. You can't have love and money. Wanting more money is greedy.
Speaker 1:I feel guilty for having too much money. I feel guilty that I don't have enough money. Shame around an excess of money or a lack of money. It takes a lot of time to make money. I always have just enough money, but never an abundance of money. I feel really anxious when I have to go to look at my bank account or my credit card statement. You really have to hold on to money. You have to save money.
Speaker 1:I'm afraid to spend money. I feel like I'm constantly waiting for the ball to drop around money, waiting for something to happen where there's not going to be enough money. I'm comfortable and that is enough. I'm using this one here because this is when people get comfortable with where they are and they find so much safety in their comfort that they become complacent with it. Therefore, they're too afraid to stretch into. Oh, I actually want more for myself. I want to experience something bigger, but I'm going to just stay here in the comfort zone. It's enough, bye. Don't waste money.
Speaker 1:I shouldn't talk about money. Money brings conflict. My parents always fought about money. Maybe you have a judgment around how you spend money and what you spend money on. So that's just a handful of examples of examples around money and the various types of stories and beliefs and thoughts that you could have. It could be so much more vast than that, but I feel like that is a pretty good list of all of the money stories and thoughts that I've heard from clients, that I've heard from other women and, again, just using this as an opportunity to see what are some of my own beliefs around money. What beliefs do I have that aren't serving me? What do I need to look at Like? What do I need to reevaluate? So, again, these are actual beliefs that I've collected from a variety of clients, from other women that I've chatted with, and you can see that they are super varied, and I especially love that you can see the extreme guilt around having too much money. Guilt around not having enough money. Shame around having too much money, shame around not having enough money, and I bring that up because none of these beliefs are facts. None of them are true. They are simply rooted in the stories that your seven-year-old self created about money and just sharing some of how this might look from childhood.
Speaker 1:Again, I mentioned briefly about your mom maybe saying that money doesn't grow on trees and you growing up with this lack mentality, the scarcity mentality, and again, it's so innocent. If you heard that growing up I'm pretty sure I heard that growing up. I don't necessarily remember from what parent, but I'm sure I heard it. Maybe not all the time, but you can see how innocent that is. It's like your parent is not trying to scar you for life and set you up for this scarcity and lack mentality, but when you grow up, just hearing that and this is where it really is key. So and again, this is so unconscious at the time and even now it could be conscious or unconscious.
Speaker 1:But typically say, you're a kid and you're at the toy store and maybe you have an example like this that clearly comes into your mind and that's very resonant for you and relevant to you. So you're at the toy store and you really just want a new Barbie and it just looks so beautiful and shining the box and oh, you just want it. You want to get it home, you want to take it out of the box and play with it and all the fun little accessories that go with it, and oh, you just really want it. And you ask your mom for it. And your mom, you know kind of snaps like what do you think? Money grows on trees? Like we can't afford that, right? Maybe that was just one little example, but chances are that might have happened multiple times.
Speaker 1:Even if it didn't, it actually doesn't matter, because, depending on your emotional state in that moment, you have then seared, like, this imprint of this belief that money doesn't grow on trees, and what really makes that belief so much stronger is the emotional attachment to it, right? So you, in that moment, maybe you feel disappointed, maybe you feel a little shame or embarrassed even for asking like, oh my God. Again, this is all unconscious, but as you go, do this work and you do some of your own healing, you and your so far, like now you're your older, wiser self, you can see it. So it's like, oh my gosh, I can see in that moment it was like, oh my gosh, who was I to ask for a new Barbie? That was so greedy of me. Oh my gosh, we don't have enough money and I'm wanting this thing. I shouldn't want things right. Like you can see how this can quickly spiral again, so unconsciously, so innocently right, because you're just so young and it's just all these little, these little thoughts that start to go through your mind, in you know, these split second moments. But because those thoughts are so tightly tied to an emotional charge, a strong emotional charge, those thoughts weren't just passing thoughts. They become beliefs that have then stuck with you throughout your entire life. So, again, just one small example. But there are so many and again, I'm sure you know, if you reflect on this, you have some of your own and we'll get to the healing part in a second. But just even bringing awareness to these thoughts, to these memories, it's like that's a great place to start, right. So, again, we'll talk more about that in the healing, the beliefs, but just using this as an opportunity to reflect on some of these.
Speaker 1:You know, own moments for you. I know that, for me, my parents are divorced. They got divorced when I was, I believe, in second grade. So, yeah, that's right around seven and I remember I don't really remember a lot of conflict around money prior to my parents getting divorced, but after they got divorced I remember always they're always being a lot of conflict about money. And after I've done a lot of my own healing work and my own, you know, inner work around this, I realized that unconsciously, you know, when I was younger, that you know now that I'm an adult again, before I've done this work I would get so like I would tense up if there were hard conversations around money. And I realized that was because when I was younger, I equated these really tough conversations as like not being, you know, it didn't feel safe in my body right. There was a lot of conflict, there was sometimes yelling, there was definitely like worth issues associated with that, like I remember, you know, if I wanted something and my mom would tell me that I had to ask my dad, you know, for the money for it and he wouldn't give it to me. And again, I was young, I was a kid, I wasn't, you know, my older, wiser self, so I equated that to mean like I wasn't deserving of that right, I wasn't worthy of that. All these things that we just take on and we carry and it gets really, really, really heavy, but again it doesn't have to be anymore, right? That's what we're going to talk about later. We're going to talk about, like, breaking free of some of these beliefs that we've just become so identified with and how we can detach from that identity. So, yeah, so it could be right.
Speaker 1:Your parents fought a lot about money and that and through that conflict, or in that conflict around money, it didn't feel safe. So then you now equate money just with a feeling of insecurity. Or you didn't have a lot of money and it wasn't safe at the time. Maybe your family really struggled. So now you've grown up to really you know, form an opinion around money and scarcity and safety, and again, all of these are so unique and so personal to each and every one of you listening and really it's your own story and your own experience that you come to this table with and the best news ever is that it is just a story, right, like it's not you. For so long you have identified that as being you.
Speaker 1:But again later today, when we talk about the healing and just in general, like those thoughts, like thoughts are never you right, if we even go back to previous episodes when I'm talking about. You know your thoughts, and then you are the observer of the thought, right, like you're, not your thought. So creating the separation between those two and doing that work to rewire these beliefs and these programs that again are no longer serving you. So what I find in my work with other women is and really this isn't even just with other women, this is really just how we are wired as human beings is that we, you know, have been programmed from the dawn of time for from as long as you know, humans have been around to survive, right. So when we get to the core of our desires whether they are things that we want or they're like subconscious programs running when we get to the root of those, to the core of those it is, it always comes down to survival.
Speaker 1:And ultimately, what I see are kind of people falling into two segments is the need for safety and the desire to feel worthy. And when I say like we all, it ultimately comes down to survival anyway. Because when people don't feel worthy, like if you go back, back back, if you're, you're like, why do I need to feel worthy? You know, you kind of do the work to understand where that need is coming from. Again, it is ultimately related to survival, because if you don't feel worthy, that could mean that, okay, well, if I'm not worthy, then I'm not going to be a part of this tribe. And this tribe needs to stick together. Everyone needs to be a part of the tribe because we all have our little jobs and we all have and we all work together to ensure the safety of the tribe, to ensure the survival of the tribe, right? So again, ultimately it's like, if I'm not worthy, if I'm going to be judged, if I'm going to be an outcast, if people aren't going to accept me, whatever those stories around worth are, ultimately you're not going to fit into the tribe, which means that you're going to be on your own. And again, when we talk about, like now, I guess technically you could survive on your own, even though people do need connection and love. And again, that's a story for another day. But you needed to be a part of the pack in order to survive, right?
Speaker 1:So when we just think about things being passed down through the generations, the weight that we carry, and again it's all energy and it's so present in all of us we bring into this lifetime all the karmic crap and stuff from past lifetimes, whether you believe in that or not. But we're carrying all this. It's like it's just in us, even though, logically, we know better, especially as adults. We know better, we can be aware of that. However, these thoughts and these stories and these programs are so deeply rooted in the subconscious, sometimes even at a cellular level. There are studies that show this even more at a cellular level. So it takes work, it takes inner work, it takes healing. There are so many beautiful modalities out there to do the work to again shift these beliefs and shift these stories and upgrade them to something that actually feels good.
Speaker 1:So I'm going to now move on to how do we start to heal some of these beliefs. And again, I mentioned that there are tons of modalities that you can do this with right, like, obviously, things like therapy, somatic therapy, hypnosis there are so many, you know rapid resolution therapy, all of these different things. And if you're interested in really diving into, like deeply, some of these, like energy clearing things, like go on a deep dive and find what resonates with you, I personally love doing this work with my own clients. I do a lot of somatic work around it. But, again, it's not a one size fits all approach and my goal is really just to bring like awareness to all these things, because you get to live a life that you love and that lights you up, and that's what you deserve, that's what you came here for. So do the work and, you know, put in some research and see what resonates with you and go do that right, like it's available to you. So, anyway, all right, let me get back on track here. Yeah, we're going to start talking about healing the beliefs.
Speaker 1:So, because worth is so big, like, oh my gosh, so many women come to me they don't realize they have worth issues, but it's oftentimes a worth issue. So I want to share this and this is not something that maybe you can embody immediately, but I hope you at least hear it and I hope that you can sit with it and feel into it and I hope that you can start to understand how this is true. Again, depending on the worth challenges that you have, the worth programs that you have running, you know, this work might be really, really needed for you and what I'm going to share here is very surface level. So, again, the most beautiful thing is just like using all of this as an invitation to really see what you need, like, what do you need for your own growth? What feels good, what helps you to expand? Right, just let all of it build, you know, on itself.
Speaker 1:So, with worth, money does not care if you feel worthy or not. Okay, money does not care if you feel worthy or not. So often you hear in order to, or so often you hear you know, people say I'm not worthy of making more money or I don't deserve more money stories such as those, and they're simply just false because money doesn't care if you're worthy or not. I'm sure you could look around the world at plenty of people who we could judge like the ego could judge as being worthy or not, and them having an excessive amount of money, right. So it's like it money doesn't care if you're worthy or not, and it doesn't care because you are inherently worthy. You are inherently worthy. You don't have to do anything to be worthy. That's what I mean. There is nothing that you have to prove to be worthy, right? You were born, brought into this world and you were here, and that makes you worthy. That is it.
Speaker 1:Your worth is, as you know true as your, your current weight or your height, right, like it's, like you're not proving something, it's just a fact, like you are just inherently worthy and that's it. And when you can fully embody that, when you can fully wake up to that, regardless of money, like your life will change. And maybe I need to do a whole episode on worth, because it is it's so big and it's so vast, but just connecting to the fact that you are inherently worthy, you are here and that's enough. You are enough right, you are Okay. So that is my quick little spiel about worth. And again I said, worth can be very deeply rooted in so many aspects of our life and I really I don't want to talk so much about about worth today because, like I said, it really could be a whole episode, but I hope that you really can hear that your worth is inherent and I hope that you can even just start to feel into that and just inquire about that a little bit for yourself and meditate on that, maybe pray on that, just start to understand and really feel. Feel that connection to your own worth, feeling that connection to your higher being, to God, to the universe, whatever feels good for you. Okay.
Speaker 1:So we're still going to continue to talk about healing the limiting beliefs. So next we're talking about just simple inquiry, simple self-inquiry. So, whether you resonated with some of the stories and the beliefs and the thoughts that I've shared previously, or you maybe, after this, you want to just kind of start to journal, to write down, to reflect on your own stories, your own thoughts around money, your own beliefs around money, and this is such like a really simple exercise. All you have to do is question those thoughts, right? So you have your list and one by one, go down the list. Is it true? Right? Can you 100% for sure know that it's true? Can you flip the belief? So maybe the belief is I have to work really hard to make money. Can you flip that belief and find the truth in the flipped belief? And I love this one.
Speaker 1:I can't remember if I've shared this example on the podcast or not, but I definitely had a belief around I have to work really hard to make money. And when I was doing my own work around this and reflecting on this and I flipped that to making money is easy, I started to realize that times in my life where I've actually made the most money ever. It's been way easier than times where I've worked so hard, worked so many hours, hustled my butt off to not make even a fraction of what I've made, when I was really enjoying my work, having a lot more fun, letting it be easy, letting it be fun. So, again, taking that belief, flipping it to the opposite and then seeing where that's true. And again, your brain is a wonderful problem solver. It loves to get to work to find the evidence of whatever problem you put out there. So, again, doing this work, it helps you open yourself to seeing all the ways in which that belief was just like a story that you were just operating, again unconsciously, on autopilot. Maybe you are aware of it, but you just don't know how to change it or fix it. Let your brain get to work and find the evidence of where the belief that you actually want to cultivate and that you actually want to have stick in your subconscious is true. And the more you do this and the more you get better at it, it'll be easier to see some of these things. And really I should have even mentioned this first, but simply bringing these beliefs to the present moment, not letting them just operate, just run in your brain on autopilot, but just listening to this podcast, just saying, hmm, what beliefs do I have about money? What stories am I telling myself about money?
Speaker 1:Simply doing that, simply bringing those to your awareness, simply presencing them, simply not judging them, those simple things take away some of the power around the belief. In the first place, right, because this is what I'm talking about, as you being the observer. And then the thought, right, the more space you can create between the thought and you as the observer of the thought, the more power you take back for yourself, the more power you hold. And you're so powerful and that's the biggest message all day, of all time, right, you have so much more power than you realize. So, in order to create that space, you notice the thought, you notice yourself having the thought and you don't judge it and you just let it be there and you say, hmm, wonder what that's there for? Right, you're taking away the power of the thought and giving yourself back the power. So, even just simply doing that, bringing these thoughts to awareness, noticing that they're thoughts and not you that is huge, all right. So now we're kind of at the inquiry level.
Speaker 1:It's really like mindset work, right, like you're just and mindset work is wonderful and, depending on the thought or how activated it is for you, how alive it is, how much it's running your brain, your life, sometimes the mindset work is all you need. Sometimes, really, you need a little bit more subconscious reprogramming, something a little bit deeper. So we're going to dive into that a little bit more here, because this is really where the work gets so good and so juicy. And, again, there are so many modalities in doing this and you can DIY it. It really doesn't have to be that hard.
Speaker 1:I think that the biggest thing, like any practice, right, whether it's a meditation practice, a yoga practice, working out whatever it is, it's all about consistency and just facing all of it without judgment and just being open to it, because you know that it's for your own good, it's for your own growth, for your own expansion. So, again, you can go back to these beliefs that you had about money and dig a little deeper into what they are there for, right? Why am I afraid to make a lot of money? Why do I feel like I never have enough money? Right? Just really starting to understand the beliefs, see what they are, and then I want you to flip the belief, but this time we need to activate the new belief with a positive emotional charge. So remember when I said when you were a kid and your mom you wanted the Barbie, and your mom said money didn't grow on trees. And there was that emotional charge in that moment of whatever it was maybe disappointment, sadness, frustration and because there was that emotional charge, it's like that belief kind of like got seared. It got like imprinted on your brain. So now we just want to flip that right.
Speaker 1:So can you find safety in making money? So sorry, excuse me, I'm still having a little bit of my cold a bit. So, for example, if there was conflict in your house around money and that conflict put an imprint on your brain that said money doesn't equal safety, or if there's, you know, money issues, it means that I'm not safe. Right, like that's the imprint. So we want to flip the script there. Right, we want to rewire the beliefs around that. We want to rewire the brain.
Speaker 1:Can you find safety somewhere as it pertains to money? Can you just have a thought about money and also resource a feeling of safety in your body? What does safety in your body feel like? Maybe it feels like peace, maybe it feels like ease, maybe it feels like joy, contentment, whatever that is. I'm just throwing different ideas out there, but ultimately you want to equate the emotion that you want to experience so a positive emotion with the thing that you want, right? So if in the past money didn't feel safe, now you want to have money feel safe.
Speaker 1:And this is where it just, it takes time and you know it's a lot of self-inquiry, it's a lot of reflection. But can you again, whether in this moment or after this episode or whenever you have a chance, can you find a moment where it's safe to have a lot of money, right? Or can you just again, just feel into your body what safety feels like? Can you just bring yourself, regardless of the thought, right? So if we just take money out of the equation, we just take the money off the table, right? Like we're not even talking about money right now? Can you simply, if that feels too hard, can you simply just find ease right now, in this moment? Can you find joy? Can you find peace, because you don't need anything outside of you to access those emotions? Right, you can find those things for yourself right now, in this moment, and then, once you are in that emotional state. Now you can bring in the money, right. So now you can.
Speaker 1:Maybe it's an affirmation around money. Maybe it's safe for me to make money, and this is where a lot of people talk about affirmations. And affirmations are wonderful when they are done properly. So, and when they're done properly is when you can connect the emotional charge to them. So if you don't believe that it is safe to make money and you're just like it's safe to have a lot of money, it's safe to make money, it's safe to have like it's not gonna mean anything, right? That's why you need to connect that emotional charge, that emotional state, whatever feeling you want to experience. That's why you need to connect to that really deeply, really feel into that, and then connect the affirmation with that. That's where affirmations get really, really powerful.
Speaker 1:And when you do that, when you can connect the feeling, the sensation, the emotion, whatever it is you want to experience on that level, with the tangible thing you want to manifest in this case we're talking about money that's when you start to reprogram those stories that you had about money. And you can do this, you can work through this with every single belief that you have. You can start with the one that's most activated for you. You can start with the one that feels the most easiest to just kind of get in the practice of this. It really doesn't matter, it's your own journey and there's no right or wrong answer, just knowing that you have the ability to change your thoughts, to change your beliefs and ultimately change your physical reality.
Speaker 1:So when people talk about raising your vibration to attract more money, I think I'm sure I've said this I feel like I've been talking about this a lot lately, so I'm not sure if I've said this on the podcast or somewhere else but I think that there's a lot of stigma in the personal development world and self-help world and even the manifestation world, around this idea of toxic positivity. And when I'm talking about raising your vibration, I do not whatsoever mean just faking being positive. That doesn't serve anyone. It may help you in this very instant, for a moment, but I would even discount my own statement in saying that, because the more you're doing that, the more you're just repressing whatever wants to be felt, whatever wants to be released, whatever energy just wants to move through you in whatever way. And really it's in doing all of this inner work, like the mindset work, the self-inquiry, the subconscious reprogramming, like all of these things.
Speaker 1:When you do that, work like you will naturally raise your vibration and if you get a chance, I highly recommend taking a look at letting go the path to the pathway of surrender by David R Hawkins. It's so good, it's pretty dense. It talks all about surrender and why you should let go of some of these negative emotions. But really what I bring that up to talk about is he has this map of consciousness and it's these emotional states basically that vibrate at the lowest frequency all the way up to the highest frequency. So when I'm talking about raising your vibration, I'm talking about literally raising your energetic state.
Speaker 1:And how that may look, as we talk about it with money is maybe you have a lot of guilt or shame around money. Again, that could be not making enough money, that could be feeling like you shouldn't make too much money. Maybe you have an excess amount of money and there's guilt there. This could be guilt or shame around your spending habits. It could be guilt or shame around debt, right, like there's so many places that guilt and shame come into the money equation and guilt and shame are the lowest energetic frequencies and the idea is that, in order to start to attract more abundance in your life, you need to move up to the higher states of energy, of emotion.
Speaker 1:And the first layer, to where you go from those negative emotions to the positive emotions, the lower level frequencies to the higher vibrational frequencies, is at courage. And this is just such a testament to everything, in my opinion, because it's like when you are courageous, right, like when you are like I know this is uncomfortable, but I'm going to be courageous, I'm going to do the thing Like that literally is the moment that your life changes, that something powerfully happens for you in your life, right, there's like that level of courage is so, so, so key and so important in so many areas. So, again, because I want to really talk, like, make sure this is centered around money, so that you can understand how this all works. So we talked about the guilt, we talked about the shame, but the courage step is you know what? I'm going to take a really honest look at my bank account. I'm going to take a really honest look at my business expenses. I'm going to take a really honest look at my credit card statement, at my spending, and see what's not working where I'm, you know where I'm spending where I shouldn't be.
Speaker 1:And again, that's just like the first step, right, like you're just being courageous, you're no longer avoiding doing that because you're in. You're so stuck in the guilt and shame and you're like living in avoidance. Right, there's so much lack and scarcity all tied to that. Right, it's not serving you and it might feel scary, but go to that level of courage, right, go to that level of, okay, I'm gonna do something about this, I'm gonna make a change, I'm going to even just see, I'm gonna just allow myself to not be so anxious about, you know, opening up my credit card statement, whatever that is for you.
Speaker 1:And then comes acceptance, and that's when we start to move into the higher vibrational state. And acceptance also so beautiful, right. Because when you accept your meeting, whatever discomfort, whatever is kind of coming your way, you're just meeting it as it is and it's really just being in the moment, not attaching any unnecessary thoughts to the thing, any unnecessary fears, any unnecessary anxiety, acceptances. Okay, this is my credit card statement, it is what it is, right. And meeting it without judgment. Because, again, where the anxiety, where the fear, where the shame, where all of that comes in, is when you're looking at your credit card statement and you're like all the stories start rolling in your head like, oh my gosh, how did I spend that much money? I shouldn't have bought that. We don't have the money to do that. Right, you can see how whatever stories might show up for you. But we're just talking about acceptance. We're talking about just looking at the statement and just not judging it, not judging yourself. Just it is what it is, because in this present moment, that's all there is. Right.
Speaker 1:Eckhart Tolle Power of Now highly recommend also. Just so, life affirming and life changing when you're just like, no, it's just about this present moment, and when I can live an acceptance of that, like everything changes okay. So, just being in full acceptance of what, that is okay. This is where you become empowered, right, because now you've had the courage to take that step, you're now in acceptance of whatever it is. You're now empowering yourself and money loves power. Right, like you're empowering yourself, you're no longer living in that lack and scarcity, you're not in that mindset of guilt and shame anymore, and it's when you're in acceptance, when you're empowering yourself, this is where you begin to attract the money, right? This is where things start to shift, where things start to change, and to move further up that scale, right? So I'm talking about guilt and shame being at the very bottom Courage is where the negative emotions change the positive emotions and then, at the very top, being peace and love.
Speaker 1:So how can you again organically not in a toxic positivity kind of way, but just naturally, sustainably, like actually raising your vibration, being in gratitude right, like even when it feels like there is nothing abundant in your life, like if you are listening to this podcast, like you are so much more blessed. You have so many more things to be grateful for than you know probably more than half the people in this world right? Like if you are putting food on your table tonight for you and your family to eat, like you have so much to be grateful for. So find something to be in gratitude about because your life is so abundant. And again, the more that you live in that state of gratitude, the more abundance you will attract.
Speaker 1:And even regardless of and I experienced this like on my own journey even regardless of the money and regardless of the wealth abundance, financial abundance, like living in gratitude is just such a pleasurable place to live in. It feels so good, there's so much joy, there's so much peace, there's so much ease and, at the end of the day, that's what you want the money for anyway, right? So just do the work to live in that place now, right, like how would you live if you had all the money? Right, like when you just live in, like, this state of ease or peace, or what is it that you think the money is going to bring you? Maybe it's freedom, maybe it's more joy, satisfaction, whatever it is. Just practice living in that emotional state, even without the thing, because the brain doesn't know the difference, right? The brain doesn't know the difference of you know whether you have a million dollars actually in your bank account, or you feel like you have a million dollars in your bank account, right, it doesn't know the difference. So just practice being in that state of being whatever that would feel like to you to have the thing, to have the money that you desire.
Speaker 1:Right, and giving I love that. You know I'm recording this. It's. We're about to be going into the holiday season, when you can give anything, like you're, you know, if you have a little bit of extra money to give to those less fortunate, if you can buy a gift for a kid in need at the holidays, if you can buy a pie to drop off at your church, if you can give some of your time volunteering this season, like when you give without expecting anything in return, the universe and God and you know all the powers that be just they just bring that back to you twofold right, and it's so beautiful and it feels so good. And you know, I don't even think it's so much like yes, the giving is so beautiful and so lovely and it's so wonderful to help others in need, but what it does for you is really the real gift, right, like regardless of whether it comes back to you or not, like it feels so good to give. And I think I think that's why people love the holiday season so much. Like there's so much like generosity to go around and it feels so good to do that. And then you know, january 1st comes along and everyone seemed to forgotten. You know how to live like that, but again, story for another day.
Speaker 1:Okay, so what you know I'm talking about like raising your vibration, aligning your vibration with the energy of money, with the energy of abundance. And what is abundance, right? Abundance is its peace, its love, its joy. Your natural state is abundance. So what do I mean by this? I mean that your inner being, your essence, is pure consciousness. It's connected to God, the universe, the energy of life, your highest self. Think of it like a sun and its rays. Right, the rays are not separate from the sun. Right, they emanate from the sun. It's all connected.
Speaker 1:So, when you do your own work to connect to your essence, to feel the connection to your truth, right, to feel the connection to the abundance that you are connected to, right, because abundance is infinite, it's all around us, it's everywhere, it's just like the natural state of being. The more you connect to that, whether through meditation, through doing something that really lights you up, all these ways that you can, you know, connect to your essence and really feel connected to your own truth, the more you do that you have raised your energetic vibration to match the abundance of wealth, right, to match the vibration of wealth. And, yes, you will start to receive and attract abundance in all areas of your life. But I do want to point out and I know that we're all like, yes, show me the money, but I promise practice being in this state. It feels so good that you're like, oh yeah, I didn't actually even need all the things that I thought I needed, because this state feels so freaking good. And then you feel so good being there, and then more wonderful things just start coming into your life and really that's what's so magical and which gets to be so fun. And then you're like, oh, I do have this power. I didn't even realize I was capable of this, but I do have it All right.
Speaker 1:So I've talked about all the different blocks. We've talked about healing the blocks, about raising your vibration. I want to leave you with this one next step, and it's letting go and it's surrendering, because once you do all of this work, how you're going to make the money, how you're going to manifest the money, how you're going to attract the money? It's not your job anymore. Right, like that's the most beautiful part. You get to now be so surrendered to whatever that is and like how amazing is that? Right, like I'm just telling you right now, like it's not your job, you don't have to worry about it. The only thing that you get to worry about and can try, don't even say worry, because there's nothing to worry about. The only thing that you need to think about controlling. Are your thoughts, are your inner state, are your beliefs right? Focus on being, focus on doing that internal work.
Speaker 1:The more you do that, the easier it is to surrender, because you're like, oh, I'm just over here just feeling good, just hanging out with my dog going on a hike right, sipping my coffee, getting ready to start my day, I'm not worried about the hell, right? Like, leave that to God, leave that to the universe, right, you are co-creating. What that means is it's this beautiful dance that gets to happen, right, and isn't that fun. Like, if you knew exactly how all of these things were going to unfold, you would just be trying to control them anyway. Oh, I don't want it to unfold like that, because what if this happens? And then you're going to get all stuck in your head about other things. So just let go, just let it be this delightful surprise. Just, you never know how things are going to come into your life and it really gets to be quite fun.
Speaker 1:Sometimes you don't even realize how it came, and then you take a step back a couple months later and you're like, oh my gosh, I didn't even realize I had manifested that extra $5,000, right, I just saw it come through. But no, you did that right, own it and see that you have the power. And the more that you're connected to that, connected to your own power, the more you'll see that, the more that you will attract those things in your life. So, in addition to this I know I think I'm getting close on an hour here, so bear with me because I do want to just add this last thing and it's that when you heal your money stories, when you heal your relationship with money, not only do you attract more money and more abundance in your life, but so many other things heal as well, especially with, you know, married couples or partners.
Speaker 1:If you have any conflict around money with your partner, your spouse, again take a step back. Does it mirror things that you experience when you are growing up as a kid? Right, life is always a mirror. Life is always presenting an opportunity for you to grow and expand, and you can only do that when you heal something right. So you know again when you can zoom out and no longer see, oh my gosh, me and my husband are always fighting about money, like that's just the thought, like you're in it, you're not seeing it right. You know when I was talking about having your thoughts and the observation of your thoughts, like creating more space between those two. When you're stuck in the thought loop of I'm so frustrated that me and my husband are always fighting about money, right, you're not seeing that? It's a thought? So pause, zoom out, take a step back and see oh, are we always fighting about money? What is this opportunity trying to show me? What is this trying to tell me? And when you do this, you see, oh, this is the exact story that played out when I was a kid, or this is exactly what needs to come up so I can heal that part of me that was buying into a lack and scarcity mindset. And I know this to be true.
Speaker 1:You know, with me and my husband, I remember, you know, I think it was a couple of years ago, but I always felt so contracted in my body when we would have money conversations and I just never I was, you know, in that like avoidant phase. I never wanted, and it was not even ever anything bad. But you know, he might just ask me like how much something cost, and I like internalized it to think, oh, I shouldn't be spending money on that, or it was too much or I shouldn't have bought that or whatever, and again I would almost shut down and I was like, okay, what is going on here? Like what is this, what needs to come up? And again, through just doing this work, through having like empowering conversations and through not letting me be so myself be so identified with these thoughts, I realize that again it goes back to, you know, all the beliefs that I had when I was a kid around you know, the conflict around money, around not feeling safe, in conflict, right, and for me, conflict is huge. I'm still not great when it comes to conflict I'm definitely getting better but you know, like that was huge for me.
Speaker 1:And once I saw that, once I realized that, and then once I healed my own thoughts around money because it wasn't my husband, you know, my husband wasn't even asking things in an accusatory way, but I was projecting that right Because of my own thoughts, and by me projecting that, I shut down, I contracted, and then he was like I don't care, right, like what he's now thinking is I don't want to have this conversation with him, I don't care about our finance. Right Now he's bringing his own stories into the conversation and you can very quickly and easily see how that can be really bad for a marriage or relationship and cause a lot of added and unnecessary stress. Right, you can cause resentment at you know so many things. So healing your own relationship with money improves not just how you attract money into your life, but it will improve your relationship with family members, maybe relationships with your kids, right. You bringing your own awareness to your money stories will help you from projecting your own money stories on your kids, right, and then maybe they'll have a more positive experience around money as they grow up, as they become adults. So it improves everything and it's just. It's such a gift when we can do our own work around any beliefs that are no longer serving us, because again they open us up to receiving the things that we actually want in our life and that's really freaking fun and really good and nourishing and again it just gives us an opportunity to grow and expand and see just what we're capable of when we do that.
Speaker 1:So I hope you got so much out of this episode. I know it's a little longer than a lot of my other ones, but there's so much gosh information and so much good stuff to talk about with money and really even just talking about money, right Like it doesn't have to be the scary thing I feel like money has always been so taboo but no, just like, become empowered with your own money stories and that alone will just start to change your life in so many positive ways.
