"Lyme Disease - Paulette’s journey of discovery"
David: Welcome to Bioresonance Health Secrets!, where we delve into the latest research and integrative approaches to complex health conditions. I’m your host, David.
Sophia: And I’m Sophia. Today, we’re revisiting an interview that you had at the Bicom Congress in Fulda Germany. It would be good to have an update. I understand Paulette launched her book “Lyme - Breaking the Disease Chain” and following her successful recovery from Lyme is now a Bicom therapist herself with 3 devices that are in constant use!
David: That's right Sophia, so here is the interview
David: So Paulette, it's nice to have you with us here in Fulda as well, at the BICOM Congress.
Paulette Agnew: Thank you.
David: So what brings you here to Fulda? Because you're not a bioresonance practitioner at the moment, are you?
Paulette Agnew: No, I'm not. I'm actually an author.
David: Right.
Paulette Agnew: And I'm here because I'm writing a book about frequency and bioenergetic medicine, and that was because five years ago I was critically ill. I was dying, and at the last moment we discovered it was Lyme disease, which I picked up in Africa from a mosquito bite in 2000. And none of the blood tests ever showed what was wrong with me, but over 10 years, my body went downhill to the point where I was paralysed in this arm, my hair was falling out in chunks, my liver was very, very challenged by eating anything. I really was in a bad state. I was in and out the cardiac unit of the hospital. I'd walk 10 steps and then collapse. And so it goes on.
I had five-day migraines. I had to vomit for eight hours at a time. There was nothing showing really what was wrong with me. I had arthritis. My knees stopped working. I couldn't walk uphill, let alone, downhill was impossible. And when I saw specialists on knees in Belfast, they couldn't find anything wrong with it. So it really was, I thought I was going mad. You can't have this kind of level of illness... And I'm into fitness and rock climbing and my diet is organic and super healthy, why would you be so critically ill? And all the regular blood tests at the School of Tropical Medicine and the doctor repeatedly, nothing showed up.
And then by chance a friend introduced me through a friend of a friend, these things happened, to a therapist in Europe. And he was actually at a conference in the UK where I was and he said, he took one look at me, he took my pulse, this is a Chinese doctor as well, trained in TCM, in acupuncture, and said, "Get on the plane tomorrow, you're coming back with me."
David: Really?
Paulette Agnew: He said, "Now. Book the flight now." I couldn't think, my friend had to do it. I couldn't write a letter. My brain had stopped working. My left arm wouldn't work. And then I went to his clinic for... I stayed with friends, who drove me. And he has the BICOM bioresonance. He has four bioresonance devices. He's got laser and scalar wave, and he's got biophotons and he's got coil machines, Rife machines. It's like a Star Trek. And he's been specialising in frequency and bioenergetic medicine for 20 years now.
David: Right. And what did he say, that he-
Paulette Agnew: Well, he tested me and he tested me with the bioresonance device, the BICOM, and said, "Look, your extracellular..." We didn't even test at that point intracellular, but extracellular is almost maxed out.
David: Right.
Paulette Agnew: Almost at 60, almost at the... It couldn't really get much higher. And then he tested all my organs and I was really very critically ill. He didn't say anything, he just looked at me and...
David: Did he know what was causing it?
Paulette Agnew: Yeah. Well, I told him it was Borrelia, and then he tested for Borrelia, and the Borrelia was off the scale. Absolutely off the scale. So then my friend who took me three days a week and I had five, six-hour treatments with all the different... So some devices he uses for just strengthening your aura, your chakras or your body or just giving you life force. Some days I'd sit on a device that would put energy into me, life force, for an hour before he could even treat me.
David: Right
Paulette Agnew: And so I got fascinated. And after about three weeks, he said, "Look, you've got to live. I know you're going to live now." He hadn't said anything before that, he just looked at me and treated me and did everything he possibly could. And some days I was herxing so bad, I was just desperately ill. And some days, middle of summer with a down jacket on, shivering, and friends would carry me to the toilet. And it was just a very difficult time and made my will and did these things. And then I slowly began to recover. It was really tough, but I slowly began to recover and then I thought, "This is incredible. What is this energy medicine?" I'm a scientist, a biochemist.
Paulette Agnew: And I've worked in the field of yoga, meditation, spirituality, natural medicine, good diet, health, wellness, stress management my whole life. So I believed in the concept of body, mind, emotional wellness, but this was a whole new dimension. And I thought, I've got to try this. I've got to really follow this, pursue this. I never took any antibiotics. And within four months, I was well enough to go back to the UK, but go back for regular treatments. And I had a couple of devices of my own, a Rife machine, which helped to keep killing the Borrelia in situ. And I had four cone infections and I'd had malaria. So my body was extremely unwell.
But after about a year, my brain switched on and I could sort of rejoin the human race. I would remember to close the front door or remember I'd put the pan on the cooker, or I knew how to write a letter again. And after a second year I actually rebuilt my body. That took a fair bit to rebuild the organs and the muscles and the strength, and to make my arms work properly again and the coordination to work again. And I thought, "I can do this," because of also my yoga background and my understanding of rebuilding a traumatised or diseased body. Yeah. So a friend said, "Let's go to the Dolomites." So I went to the Dolomites exactly two years on from starting treatment, and I did one-and-a-half-thousand-foot rock climbs.
David: Really? Wow. Well done.
Paulette Agnew: To celebrate, to say I'm back, I rejoined the human race.
David: Oh, that's fantastic. And-
Paulette Agnew: And I thought, if I can go from almost zero point to one-and-a-half-thousand-foot rock climbs in two years, anybody can, if you just follow the protocols, see the right therapist, take up with bioresonance, clearly a very, very important strategic for diagnostic and treatment. I don't think you could do this without bioresonance. So the bioresonance is very important to me and to all the therapists I've come across.
David: And you've gone from writing your letter to writing what now?
Paulette Agnew: So, yeah. So now I've written a book. So I thought, "I've got to share this with the world." So now I've written a book called Lyme - Breaking the Disease Chain by Paulette Agnew, and the subtitle is Healing with Frequency and Bioenergetic Medicine. And I'm calling it FAB medicine, which I think is a great acronym. Because when I was researching it, there's electron medicine, there's energy medicine, there's frequency meds. Everyone calls it something different, so I've tried to bring it all into the one bundle and call it FAB.
David: Yeah, sounds good.
Paulette Agnew: And encourage people out there to develop their FAB clinics. Clearly bioresonance is a crucial part of this, not just for diagnostic, but really for treating, for building up the body, for helping the body to kill the bugs, whatever you've got, to strengthen your immune system.
David: That's it.
Paulette Agnew: Really important part. And to tell the body, "Hey." I'd had Borrelia for 10 years. It was hiding inside my immune cells. It was hiding inside the brain cells. It was hiding inside my neurological system.
David: Well, it can actually break up the white blood cells, can't it, in the body?
Paulette Agnew:
Absolutely. And these cysts can exist for years and years and the biofilms are almost impregnable by anything. And I think that's why my therapist in Europe has all these different kinds of devices, because you find that laser, if you have, say cysts in the hip, you can get right into that hip with laser, and the laser, the light helps to break up the biofilm. And Rife machines, very strong coils to actually break... I remember one day, I was working on the Rife devices and he would hit this particular frequency, which the [inaudible 00:08:22] said "hatchlings," but I'm not quite sure what that was, but it was something to do with Borrelia at a certain point, I think breaking out of cysts or coming out of biofilm.
And it was on my arm, once it took that frequency, this paralysed arm, it was like pain exploding inside the nerves. Nowhere else in the body, just there. Another day I'd used frequencies and my knees, I was sitting and have an explosion in my knee and an explosion in my liver, an explosion of pains, not horrible pain, but like a neurological pain in my ankle. And he knew that that frequency was just hitting those particular areas where the Borrelia was condensed.
David: You've made a good point that you needed different types of treatment, don't you? The BICOM is brilliant and can be used by all sorts of things. The Rife's a bit more aggressive, but sometimes you need that, don't you, at certain a point?
Paulette Agnew: With things like chronic Lyme, you need-
David: The different things, yeah.
Paulette Agnew: ... different, because at different times... Look, we know that Borrelia has four forms, although there are actually five forms, but the main... Well, there's many forms. So really it's a pleomorphic bug. Pleomorphic, meaning it changes form. Within 24 hours, Borrelia can change from spirochete to cyst, or cyst to cell-wall deficient. So that's why antibiotics don't work, because if you take an antibiotic in, it's going to kill a spirochete. A, it has to be in the bloodstream. It's not going to kill it if it's inside your nerve cell, or inside the brain, or inside your bone. So one, you're going to hit it when it's in the available place. And secondly, it's that drug, which is one set pattern, it's cue to find that one set pattern of say, a spirochete, but within 24 hours it can go, "Oh, danger is here, the enemy's here, let me change to a cyst, let me change to cell-wall deficient. Let me change it to round form."
So the antibiotics are sitting in your body, but they're not doing anything because the bug is pleomorphic, it's changed. Whereas with frequency medicine, you can, A, have the wobble factor. So you wobble it, so you've got the frequency of say, 365, but you're wobbling that's right to a couple of hertz either side. So if that bug starts to change or it's morphing as you're being treated, you're catching it. And that's really important. I think that's one real advantage of... It is the advantage of frequency medicine. And of course, good herbs, living herbs, again, which would change form as you go along. So changing combinations of herbs. So there's lots of important aspects to frequency and bioenergetic medicine that need to be embraced. And for me, this is my mission. I want to tell the world and say... Look, not everyone's going to. A lot of people say, "Give me one pill." That's the answer. And that's fine, but for those who are more awake and thinking, "Maybe that one pill is only masking the symptoms. Maybe I want to find the cure." This book is for them.
David: Well, I'm going to enjoy reading it and as soon as it's released, we'll put a link to this video.
Paulette Agnew: Smashing. Thanks very much.
David: And it was nice that you said you went back to Germany, didn't you? Where was it in Germany that you were being treated?
Paulette Agnew: Holland.
David: Holland. You went back to Holland and the doctor you've been seeing, they had a new optima, isn't it?
Paulette Agnew: Yeah, the... Yeah.
David: So that was good. So well, thank you for your support and thank-
Paulette Agnew:
I learned to use it in half an hour, so I help out the clinic now myself. It's great, from patient to clinic.
David: Great. Well, thanks for your time today, Paulette. And good luck with the rest of the Congress and interviewing others, doctors that are here.
Paulette Agnew: That's why I'm here. I'm here to meet some of the best of the best in Europe and the world, who are using frequency and bioenergetic medicine, wanting to be out there, wanting to help patients and so, spread the word.

Sophia: That was fascinating David, its so encouraging to know that Paulette has built a thriving bioresonance business and is helping many other people. I know each case can be complex and its not easy to find solutions for Lyme, also you dont always have to be bitten by a tick.
David: That’s right, Sophia. Lyme disease isn’t just another tick-borne illness. It’s multifaceted and often misunderstood. But with the right therapeutic interventions, there’s hope. So, let’s start by understanding what Lyme disease is.
Understanding Lyme Disease
Sophia: Lyme disease was first recognized in 1975 in Old Lyme, Connecticut, after a mysterious outbreak of arthritis in young people. By 1982, researchers had identified Borrelia burgdorferi, a spirochete bacterium transmitted through tick bites, as the culprit.
David: Absolutely. And since then, we’ve learned that Lyme disease has many subspecies, with other vectors like horseflies, mites, and possibly mosquitoes also playing a role in transmission. Symptoms can mimic conditions like fibromyalgia, multiple sclerosis, and even Alzheimer’s, making it one of the most misdiagnosed diseases globally.
Sophia: That’s why therapists must approach treatment with a holistic lens. Let’s break down the symptoms and challenges before moving into specific therapies.
Recognising Symptoms
David: Lyme disease starts with early inflammatory responses, often on the skin. But contrary to popular belief, the “bullseye” rash isn’t always present. Over time, it can spread to the joints, nervous system, heart, and even organs, causing chronic fatigue, neurological issues, and severe pain.
Sophia: Yes, and patients often experience systemic symptoms like night sweats, headaches, dizziness, and even emotional challenges like depression and anxiety. These varied symptoms make it essential to focus on a tailored approach to therapy.
Therapeutic Approaches
David: Let’s discuss therapeutic approaches. One promising modality is Bicom Bioresonance Therapy. This non-invasive technique identifies and addresses energetic imbalances caused by Borrelia and co-infections. Official Bicom therapists are trained in the complexities of helping someone with Lyme. Jenny Blondel did a 40-minute webinar on just how to treat Lyme, we may well turn that into a podcast. But here are a few basics
Sophia: Therapists start by stabilising the patient. They might address stress, detoxify the body, and strengthen the immune system. Techniques like electroacupuncture therapy can support energy flow, while detox protocols ensure elimination organs are functioning optimally.
David: Detoxification is vital. Lyme disease releases neurotoxins and cytokines, which contribute to symptoms like fatigue and cognitive fog. Therapists often recommend clean diets, hydration, and specific supplements to support the liver and kidneys.
Herbal and Nutritional Support
Sophia: Beyond bioresonance, herbal medicine plays a crucial role. Herbs like Andrographis, Cat’s Claw, and Echinacea support the immune system and fight co-infections. Herbal antimicrobials are selected based on the patient’s symptoms and clinical presentation.
David: Therapists may also use high-dose vitamin C, magnesium, and liver detox formulas. Supporting gut health with probiotics is equally important since gut dysfunction is common in Lyme patients.
Sophia: And for those facing biofilm-related issues, which shield bacteria from treatment, “biofilm busters” like Cistus Incanus or specific enzymes can make antimicrobials more effective.
Addressing Emotional and Physical Well-being
David: Treating Lyme isn’t just about the body; it’s about the mind, too. Therapists can incorporate counselling into treatment plans to help patients manage stress and trauma.
Sophia: Exactly. Stress management is key. Daily meditation, self-care practices, and even laughter can help regulate the HPA axis, improving overall resilience.
David: For patients with severe sensitivity or Herxheimer reactions, treatments must be tailored with care. Therapists may use homoeopathic remedies and adjust detox protocols to ensure a gentle recovery.
Encouraging Patient Responsibility
Sophia: As therapists guide patients, it’s crucial to emphasise personal responsibility. Patients must commit to detox protocols, dietary changes, and lifestyle adjustments to optimise their healing journey.
David: It’s a partnership, Sophia. The therapist provides tools and guidance, but recovery requires active participation from the patient. Together, they can navigate the complexities of Lyme disease.
David: That’s all for today’s episode of "Bioresonance Health Secrets" We hope you’ve gained valuable insights into how therapists can support individuals with Lyme disease.
Sophia: If you or someone you know is battling Lyme disease, remember, there’s hope and help available. Don’t hesitate to reach out to qualified professionals.
David: Thanks for tuning in, and we’ll see you next time. Stay healthy and take care!
Sophia: Bye for now!
