1.) The Saint Louis University "Public Health: Unscripted" podcast is a student-led podcast series that looks more deeply into the work of students, professors, staff, and community partners within the public health landscape of St. Louis.
Our biweekly series, led by students, discusses academic and professional topics across all concentrations in the public health world. Topics discussed include behavioral science and health education; biosecurity and disaster preparedness; biostatistics; epidemiology; global health; health management and policy; maternal and child health public health practice; and public health practice.
2.) 'Conversations with Leaders in Public Health' is presented by the Heartland Center in the College for Public Health and Social Justice at Saint Louis University. The Heartland Centers for Public Health and Community Capacity Development works with academic and practice partners locally and nationally to support a systemic approach to workforce development.

Public Health Unscripted, Episode 2: Nancy L. Weaver, Ph.D., M.P.H.
Dr. Nancy Weaver is a Professor of Behavioral Science and Health Education in the Saint Louis University College for Public Health and Social Justice.
In this episode of the 'Public Health Unscripted' podcast, Dr. Weaver joined hosts Casey Allen and Andrew Solsrud to discuss behavioral science and health education within the context of her teaching, improv, trauma, and her work with Support Over Silence for KIDS.
Dr. Weaver applies communication sciences, analytics and public health principles to promote positive parenting of young children and adolescents. Whether encouraging nurturing relationships between caregivers and kids or working with institutions and health care systems to adopt effective programs, she advances strength-based messages that are easy to understand and are highly relevant to diverse audiences.
Her research has been funded by the National Institutes of Health, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the Missouri Foundation for Health and other granting agencies and has led to the widespread dissemination of many efficacious programs. Most recently she launched Support Over Silence for KIDS to address public child mistreatment.
Weaver is Co- director of the Community Engagement Core of the Center for Innovation in Child Maltreatment Policy, Research and Training at Washington University and was the founding Director of SLU’s REACH Center: Research and Equity in Action for Child Health, a regional initiative that brings together academic and community partners to advance the health of moms, dads, families and children.
Weaver frequently consults with health care systems, providers and non-profit agencies to design and evaluate population health initiatives and prevention approaches.
