The band Nazareth is still around, but there is a new member. Nazareth has parted ways with singer Carl Sentance, who had been with the band for about 10 years. His replacement is singer Gianni Pontillo.
Barry Manilow has cancer. He had been suffering from bronchitis, so his doctor ordered an MRI, which found a spot on his lung. He’ll have surgery to remove it, but Manilow says that since they caught it early, he won’t need chemo, just a month of chicken soup and “I Love Lucy” reruns. As a result, though, he’s cancelling all the shows he had scheduled for January.
