Mötley Crüe came out on top in their legal battle against former guitarist Mick Mars.  An arbitrator dismissed all of Mars' claims and mandated that he pay damages to the band. Crüe released a statement saying, "We are pleased that the arbitrator saw through Mick's baseless claims and ruled in our favor."

"Becoming Led Zeppelin” is up for a couple of awards.  The Roc Doc was nominated for the documentary screenplay category for the Writers Guild Awards.  It’s also up for best edited documentary feature at the American Cinema Editors Eddie Awards.

Speaking of Roc Docs, one on Little Feat is on the way. “Little Feat: The Documentary” will premiere at the Big Sky Documentary Film Festival on February 21. Actor Jeff Bridges narrates the documentary which features never-before-seen archival footage, performances, and interviews with artists like Bonnie Raitt, Jackson Browne, and members of the Grateful Dead.

Slash says the next Guns N' Roses album will be all-new material, rather than holdovers from "Chinese Democracy", which they've been releasing over the years.  There's no word when it'll be out, though.

Sharon Osbourne may be considering bringing back Ozzfest, and has been in talks with Live Nation about it. She says she wants to mix up the genres for the next iteration of Ozzfest and launch a classical tour of Black Sabbath's catalog.  Sharon previously discussed the challenges of managing Ozzfest, including greedy managers demanding more money.  (Hey, wait a minute, wasn’t she one of the managers–How dare people try to steal from her the money she was trying to steal from other artists)
