Marta Niccolai

Dr Marta Niccolai is a life explorer, a seeker, and a curious soul. Originally from Pisa in Tuscany, she has lived in London since 1988. Her spiritual journey began in her early twenties with Kundalini Yoga and meditation, leading to regular travels to India and time spent in a Gandhian Ashram. Over the years she discovered that her true spiritual home is in Shamanism.

Marta’s work with the Foundation for Shamanic Studies continues to evolve. She is passionate about teaching and brings a clear, well-held structure to her workshops, guiding students into the heart of shamanic practice.

Alongside her shamanic work, Marta is an honorary lecturer at University College London, where she continues to enjoy supervising BA and MA students. She is deeply interested in how spiritual practices and performance meet and inform one another.
