First and foremost, we want to be clear that what we are sharing with you are strategies and concepts that can be implemented by individuals who understand the logistics of how to approach such platforms as far as the literal, the mental and spiritual format needed to be successful with your aspirations hey, what's up world?
Speaker 3:you're tuned in to fbn and this is another episode of finance bros network. I am the one half of finance Anton Lefwich, and this is Michael.
Speaker 4:DePoe the other half. You know it. We are coming to you live with finance for every people. We are honored to be here and to be able to serve diverse communities. Welcome everybody, it's season three.
Speaker 2:Season three Finally back in the chair, Mike Yo, we're finally back in the chair.
Speaker 4:Yo, we had a lot going on in these past few months, brother, brother, and it brought a lot of lessons too. Oh my gosh. Hey, I don't know if you guys know and I know you guys are listening on whatever, whether you're driving or you're on your phone, you're on the train or you're listening walking we also got a TV show.
Speaker 4:Yes, we do HHN TV, hey, so you guys could go to our TV show and look at it and you know it's kind kind of similar, but you get to see us, you get to see our reaction. You know, sometimes we throw some stuff in there to kind of really motivate or really emphasize what we're trying to, to train or coach or teach or help you guys understand about finance. So it the vibe. It's called a vodcast and right right, you know it's kind of a spin-off of the podcast, but we know that a lot of people still like listening to the radio, like listening to podcasts. They don't. They could be cleaning the house or or doing something different and running or walking yeah, yeah, yeah, so they could hear what we have to say.
Speaker 4:So we're going to try to keep it a half an hour. We're going to be in and out like a drive through and give you guys some, some golden nuggets, some diamonds and this season of podcast Guess what? Yeah, we're going to try to keep it at an emotional level. How about that?
Speaker 3:Man, you know me, I love working on what's on the inside right.
Speaker 3:And this is, and for you, our, our wealthy, is out there. This is not only I mean. The passion that you hear coming out is not only because of the passion we have for wanting to get this message into people's hearts, but it's a constant reminder to ourselves, right, mike? So I mean just just the the fact that we have all these, these things in place. We gave you season one, we gave you season two. There's a lot of blueprint in there, but now it's just a psychological of actually putting these things into action, and this season is going to be all about how to keep that focus on making these things real, making these things part of our daily lives, part of our daily rituals. Not only does it we don't know, do we get to actually in enhancing information by drawing it in and then and then digesting the information, but we give them with the uh, with with the rro, the r, not the rof my bad, the epc, the epc energy, passion, conviction right, and then the pb and c and the pb and j right.
Speaker 4:Oh my, god kid them. That's the wealthy and creed. That's what we're talking about if you guys don't know what wealthy and is. Hey, go watch our vodcast you you could get a visual of what wealthy and is. Or go listen to our last two uh series, uh of the podcast, where we build up to what wealthy it is and what we do as wealthier.
Speaker 4:But you know, the season three, we really wanted to focus on really what affects you on a, on an emotional level, like, yeah, well, how does finance like in your environment and on emotional level, how does that affect you? Yeah, you know. So, pretty much this whole season we go on touch base on everything that we kind of already spoke about, right, right, but. But we're going to kind of put put ourself in your shoes, right, right.
Speaker 3:Or or give you scenarios and situations that you could possibly reflect and be in and say, oh, this is how I need to move to get this money, to build to this wealthy and status, right, right, so, so that, so that's the whole thing, so all these things are coming at you constantly, right, whether it was from everything from adversity to just living our daily lives, you know I mean, whether you got to just keep up with the family or go out and work your job, I mean these are the things that can start to get us into a what do you call it, when you just kind of wake up, go to work, go to bed. Wake up, go to work, come home, go to bed. You know what I mean. You can get in this pattern that seems kind of redundant, right? So these are the things that you keep that.
Speaker 3:Make sure we keep that dream alive in our heart, keep that, keep that idea alive in our minds. So we're always doing something every single day to make sure we're chipping away at that fruit, chipping away at the gold, that's all, that's six feet deep, that we're just. Maybe might be a foot away, might be six inches away. We don't know how close we are to that dream and making it come true. We just got to make sure we're doing something every day to get there, all right. So, look, check this out, mike. So I went and I look, check this out, mike. So I want, and I want to really just get this word for word. All right, so, because I love this right here. All right, so we already kind of reiterated on what it is we're going to do with this season. But as far as this episode, so we're going to be diving into financial planning specifically for our wealthians on an environmental and emotional level. This episode plan or die. We coming straight at you, okay we Wait.
Speaker 2:look, we kept it nice for a couple of episodes.
Speaker 4:We going straight into eyes today. We coming, we going to hit them in the heart. All right, plan or die.
Speaker 3:Yeah, not plan or perish.
Speaker 4:Plan or die.
Speaker 2:All right, straight up All right.
Speaker 3:So definition of a wealthy and we already broke it down in season one of obtaining an abundance of valuable possessions or money, there you go. All right, go get the t-shirt. We're going to have the t-shirt. They're going to be on the website, real soon, by the way, the website is going into effect.
Speaker 2:right now it's in construction. We're going to be dropping that real soon, so look out for that.
Speaker 3:All right. And look, we know it can be tough to plan when there's not I mean, there's really not much money to work with. Okay, but look, trust us, there are practical steps anyone can take to improve their financial situation.
Speaker 4:All right, so mike, let's get into it. And, and that's what we're talking about, anton is tracking every single penny. If you don't, if you don't know where your money is going, it's, it's impossible to plan is that right anton so so write it all down, you know, yes, even write down the Starbucks coffee that you go every single day and try to buy or you're spending this money from.
Speaker 4:So you know like remember the title of this episode it's plan or die. It's plan or die. So you know the key here is to avoid getting overwhelmed. So when you're planning you're not overwhelmed, you kind of see what you need to do and how you need, how your budget needs to look like. So you know that's what we're talking about. It's planning on dying, so and it's and we're saying dying. Some people might say, ooh, that's extreme, but it is extreme. Life is real. Life is real, real right now. If you're not planning with the little fine ass you get in yeah it.
Speaker 4:You're gonna lose it. Something's gonna happen, you're gonna be in a situation, and it might be a dire situation yeah, yeah.
Speaker 3:And what might not seem major to you at that time, at to somebody at that time, to you, it's everything.
Speaker 4:Exactly so you know that. You know, just remember, the title of our episode is Plan or Die. So the key here is to avoid getting overwhelmed, like I just mentioned, start where you are, not where you think you should be. Yeah, that's really important, ladies and gentlemen wealthians. Start where you are, not where you think you should be. Yeah, that's really important, ladies and gentlemen wealthians, start where you are not where you think you should be. Like, keep it real. You're working with what you got and that's okay.
Speaker 4:We at Finance Bros Network can help a brother and a sister out with our wealthy and planner. So just DM us for that wealthy and planner. We said that. And real talk. If you go to one of our first episodes, that's what we talked about planning and we put it out there. So we are, we on facebook, we on tiktok, we on instagram, we on youtube, youtube short, all those platforms. You just hit us up. Hey, yeah, I was talking about this wealthy and planner. Can you? Can you just hit us up and it's real simple. It so it's Google sheets. We'll share it with you, yeah, and then what you do is make a copy of it and put it in your computer, cause we ain't going to share it with you for long.
Speaker 2:We're going to share it with you for a minute, Cause you know we don't want nobody jumping into our server and virusing us up.
Speaker 4:So copy it and then put it. So make a copy us up, so copy it and then put it. So make a copy. As soon as soon as we share. We share it for a few days. You make a copy of it, boom, it's in your system now. Now you could copy it on all your email platform. You could use it on your phone when you buy stuff, when you, when you get that first paycheck and you planning that that's, that's what's gonna help you yeah that's what.
Speaker 4:That's what's gonna save you, and look, wealthy is.
Speaker 3:Consider this your lowest barrier of entry. Okay, give it a technical term, all right. This, this wealthy and planner, is the foundation. And wait, while it may not seem like making a big step to some people, it's somewhere that you can start. Okay, and when we say plan or die, how about this, mike? It ain't just die like die physically, it's your dream dies.
Speaker 3:Those habits that got you from point A to point B die. Those habits, those good habits that got us from living on a level where we were struggling to now where we might be getting a little bit of momentum, those steps that we took, those things, those rituals, those things that we developed, those skill sets. Maybe if things a skill it's called it's called a perishable skill, okay, all right. Anything we're doing that we're going towards our dream, it's a very perishable skill, whether it's learning scripts or learning how to do better sales, learning how to conversate with people. If you stop going to network events, consciously or consistently, eventually you know you're gonna find yourself at a networking event and you're not really gonna be as as comfortable to just walking up to each and every person in there and talking to them. So these things start to die. And it's all a part of the equation. It all adds up, everything adds up to something, right? So? So make sure you're being consistent with that. And again, I'm gonna go to the notes. I want to make sure I get this right, so I wrote here the financial planner puts you in the mindset, which is very important, right, that's that. That's that lowest barrier of entry being in the mindset to even take the next step, all right, and then be consistent with it.
Speaker 3:Do something every single day. I might not be able to change your income overnight, obviously, but you can change how you think about money, your relationship with money. All right, and remember, like Mike said, don't forget to DM us. We'll go ahead and send it out to you. Make sure you copy it, put it in your own personal files and give you something to work with. All right, so just you copy it, put it in your own personal files and give you something to work with. All right, so just remember to do that and take the first step. That's what we're saying. We'll give you a very simple task to take the first step and then worry about the next step once you get there, yeah, and on it.
Speaker 4:Like I said, the wealthy and printer planner will help you. Stick with your mental discipline, which is key. It's easy to say, but it's not enough to say. But developing a mental discipline to stick to the plan is what will make all the difference. Just remember that. Sticking to the plan, that's our mental. We're going to hit you with the literal, mental and spiritual later, but we're giving you some extra mental stuff right now because listen, ladies, it's not going to happen.
Speaker 4:If you don't plan, you get that paycheck. You don't mentally focus to write down the budget, you can forget about it Whatever dreams if you. Because now these days, if somebody say, hey, I want to start a business, I want to do it. Do you have a plan?
Speaker 3:you have a budget, everybody says, everybody talks like that and so.
Speaker 4:So now I did. I said you have a budget, show me your budget and then I'll talk to you about your plan because if you don't have, because you know what you're making, you know how much you spend. But if there's no plan, you're not really serious. Some people might think you mean for that, mike.
Speaker 3:Mike, oh, that's okay. That's okay, there's less people I got to talk to. Hey, I told you I was doing a little self-development earlier. You know, in my quiet time. They say if everybody always likes you, if you're not hated, sometimes you might want to take a look at it. You might be doing something a little bit wrong If everybody's getting along all the time?
Speaker 4:somebody lying, yeah, somebody lying.
Speaker 3:Yeah, somebody lying, somebody lying.
Speaker 3:Hey, if iron sharpens iron, then there has to be some friction, especially if it's if it's in our close circles and it's people that care about us amongst friends, you know some of some of my favorite things that I like watching when I have a little bit of downtime and I might want to watch a movie or a series or something like that. You know, I see some of these shows where this person will have a friend that's real close to him and yeah, yeah, I get it, it's tv, but I, I take, I take, I eat the chicken and throw away the bones, you know, I mean it's, it's usually a friend that that just always willing to tell him the truth, right, don't care if it makes him mad, don't care if it upsets them. Right, you know what I mean. Because, because he and look, even if you don't end up doing what I say or not, that I'm even trying to say do anything, it's just, I'm just sharing my insight with you, sharing my perspective with you. I'm not telling you what to do.
Speaker 3:So, at the end of the day, even if you go, do what you do, you always go at least know. I know where Anton stands, that's right. You know you as a friend, mike, I always know where you stand, bro, right, I ain't gotta worry about, I ain't gotta wonder about that, right, you know what I'm saying. Right, as a friend like like it, like hate it, love it. I know where you stand.
Speaker 4:That is it.
Speaker 3:And it's consistent every time out the oven, just like that, every single time. I know you got a plate of fruit in front of you. When you get done, ain't gonna be nothing left on it. That's it. That's literally. That's true. You don't say, you don't waste nothing.
Speaker 4:Look, look, we told you we were gonna hit you with the environment, the emotional. So this season, this is gonna be real passionate about, because we're tired of seeing our brothers and sisters, we're tired of seeing our wealthians who's calling themselves wealthians out there, and we're going to try to get this uh message out as much as we can, hitting social media a little harder, hitting everybody a little harder. To start listening to a tell a friend. They need this message. I'm tired of seeing our brothers and sisters in our minorities not winning, and and the reason we're not winning is because we don't have the fundamentals down pat. There you man, there you go, bro. You don't have those fundamentals bro in nfl.
Speaker 3:These are nfl players. Right before the game starts, you see them on the field. Yep, out there doing warm-ups. Well, do you know they out there stretching? Yep, big old, 360 pounds, 6'7 lot stretching.
Speaker 4:Because what happens if you don't stretch? Shoot Trolley horses, you hurt yourself.
Speaker 3:Yeah, you could break a bone, make it a small deal if you want to, right, but that, hey, all it takes is one hit, that's it. That's it. All it takes is one, one, one, one. You jumping over the goal line, they hit you at the bottom of the leg and you land, just right, that's it. It's telling. These are serious things, man. It's the fundamentals.
Speaker 4:Yeah, it's just that's how you stretch. This financial planner is your stretch for your financial future. I like that. This financial planner is your stretch. You're stretching because all you're doing is writing down everything and you'll be surprised once you write it down and then you want to go do something like wait a minute, pull out your phone. You look at the planner Okay, I could do it. Or look at the phone. You looked at your phone. Look at your planner Nah, I can't do that.
Speaker 2:Nah.
Speaker 4:I can't buy that.
Speaker 3:You see, how that helps. Yeah, and you're reviewing it constantly, constantly, not doing it one time, putting it away. Put some stuff up where you could see it every day. Yeah, mike, you know you walk into my office you see all these these slogans and and taglines hey, I got.
Speaker 4:I got one for you. Make it your screen server right on your phone. Yep, right on your screen saver, so you could always remember looking at the financial planner every time you got to unlock your phone.
Speaker 3:It's right there for you there you go we're giving you habits, people, yeah, and sooner or later, guess what? You memorize it. You don't even have to go back and look at it and you make adjustments as needed, but you necessarily don't even have to look at it all the time. You know and look. This might sound out there for some of our listeners, but look, hear us out.
Speaker 3:All right, your relationship with money often reflects your values and beliefs. All right, gratitude for what we have, all right, no matter how little it may seem or how little it may seem, appreciating what we have just opens up the door for more, for us to get more, have more, appreciate more, do more and give more right. When we focus on abundance rather than lack, you begin, we begin to invite more positive financial outcomes into our life. And remember that money is just a tool, right, mike? Yep, all right, so recognize that money itself is. It's not good or bad. All right, it's just a tool, right, all right, it's what you do with it that matters. So use it wisely and you know it'll serve you.
Speaker 4:Hey, Anton man, that's a really, really great point. I know, I know you got that spiritual. That came from your heart, bro.
Speaker 3:That's spiritual.
Speaker 4:And I hope it's touching a lot of the wealthians out there, because understanding that part, that part, you know, just being able to even give a little bit to get some back, that's huge. Yeah, that's huge, and it doesn't have to be money. It could be your time, it could be your energy. You know, that's right, that's so true, man, that's so we go to the.
Speaker 3:We went to the store a little bit ago. Uh, the, the little, the cashier brother right there actually that, by the way, that's actually the owner's, the owner's son.
Speaker 3:Oh, I didn't know that yeah, that's the owner's son uh, lady owns a bunch of land and everything and I just got to talking to him and he was asking about the podcast and and, um, he ended up following us and everything and checking out some episodes and then he just told me he was reading financial books there, you know, and I said next time I see you I'm gonna have three books for you. There you go and and me and you walking there today what?
Speaker 3:do we do? You handed them those books, handed them three books, and he's sitting here like hey, how much I owe you. No, no, no, please don't block our blessing. Because we're farmers, we plant seed.
Speaker 4:And, who knows, one day he's like hey, my parents have this store, we want to double it, we want to franchise it. Can you guys help us out? Sure, not a problem. You see so that could be a blessing that's coming soon. Just from him reading those books, listening to our podcast, he got motivated.
Speaker 2:He planned it.
Speaker 4:Maybe he's going to do a wealthy and planner the next day or two and then he's going to be like yo. This is possible in the next six months.
Speaker 2:Yeah, yeah.
Speaker 4:You don't know, you don't know. So, to your point, you know this is what we got to do and you know, just to move forward. When you think about money as a resource rather than something to choose or fear, it really changes your perspective. Plus, it makes the journey a little less stressful, mm, hmm, so, so just just think about that, you know. But make sure the money, the resource of the money, you're not chasing it. Yeah, yeah Right, you're not chasing it. Matter of fact, fear it.
Speaker 4:You know, yeah, that's what's up, because then it'll change the way you think about money, because you're like, nah, I ain't going to spend this like that, I ain't going to spend this like that, but we're going to go into the breakdown.
Speaker 3:Yeah, into the breakdown. Yeah, let's go into the breakdown. Oh, real quick, shout out to my boy out there for having a money mindset too. I'm gonna put his name out there. I'm gonna say shout out to the individual out there having a money mindset, setting the tone for other people. Because I one thing, I know one thing, I believe mike people who come into his midst, they're getting a whiff of the things that we're talking about right now. It might be on a mental, it might be in a in a mental way, or it might be in a literal way, could be in a in a the mental way, or could it be in a?
Speaker 3:spiritual way, but I feel like I definitely, when I look at this dude, I see determination. I really do and every time I, every time I look at he always got his hands on something. He always doing something that's what's seemed like you know what I mean. So and I believe, I definitely believe in having a family legacy and helping out the family you know, we giving them all that positive energy.
Speaker 4:Yeah, and he doing that, brother, so giving them that positive energy.
Speaker 3:Always happy to make deposits in something like that and, and that's another vodcast episode deposits and withdraw go check it out on hhn tv
Speaker 4:but, but let's hit him with the literal, the literal is set small, realistic goals. Saving ten dollars, twenty dollars a month may not seem like much, but it adds up or up over time. Don't aim to save hundreds if you can't afford it. Start small and grow. And if you guys go to our uh hhn tv, episode four it's, we have a a show called hold on to your funds so that's part of our.
Speaker 4:One of our vodcasts and you know, shout out to invoke. We we kind of use, we keep it in true hip-hop, yeah, hop song and everything over there. We want to make sure that we're blessing our people. Where you get that similarity? Yeah, it's the hip hop network.
Speaker 3:Yeah, it's the hip hop network, so we got to keep it real.
Speaker 4:So that's the literal, it's just really savings. And we also showed you how you could have a diagram where we're saving a certain amount of money. I know TikTok has this little bifold where you put $10 or $20 every paycheck and then, once that book is filled, you have five $6,000. Please get into that habit. Use your wealthy and planner. And then, wherever the saving yeah, if you don't want to save at the bank, put it in that little binder, make sure you hide it somewhere, because you know pete, you know fans and family, you never know so so so just hide it. Make sure you put it somewhere safe and secure, but hold on to your funds, ladies and gentlemen, I love it. And then we go into the mental. The mental is self-education, knowledge is power. Oh my God, we can't say that enough. Take time to read articles, listen to podcasts, like the one you're listening to right now, or watch videos like on.
Speaker 2:HHN TV.
Speaker 4:Finance Bros Network for financial literacy. The more you know, the better decisions you can make, brother. So that's the mental. We're giving you all the tools for the mentals right now. We'll give you all the because by listening to us, by watching us, by you going out reading different books, you gave that brother some books. Guess what it's going to do for him mentally.
Speaker 3:It's going to keep him focused right.
Speaker 4:Yeah, absolutely it's gonna keep him focused on making that final the right financial decisions yeah, yeah so if you have that planner that keeps you focused yeah, especially for somebody who's already creating their own path.
Speaker 3:There you go, which I could definitely see in this dude I mean it's just it helps to maybe, maybe just fast forward the tape a little bit right or help knock out a few steps that might have been missed in between, or whatever it might do. Whatever it does it's always going to enhance, hopefully enhance that process of getting to where for where you know, where you have right now to where you're trying to go.
Speaker 3:So, and I like, I like this just hitting when you read never you know, knowledge is power when it's digested, yeah, but it's impactful when it's digested, yeah, but it's impactful when it's applied. There you go.
Speaker 4:Ooh, I like that. Yeah, I like that too. I like that. I guess that'll be the second T-shirt episode Yep, yep, yep, we got a real good one for you coming up.
Speaker 3:No, I like that one, so I'm gonna hit him with the spiritual mic, all right. So here it is. Look the universe, or or God blessed you with something, so plan on giving back, even in small ways we just talked about. This might sound counterintuitive if you're struggling, yes, but contributing to others, whether through money, time or energy, can create a sense of wealth that goes far beyond financial measures. Wow, preach brother.
Speaker 4:I love it, man, preach brother. Yeah, and guess what? This is a Sunday Preach brother, I love you man. Preach brother.
Speaker 3:And guess what, this is a Sunday. We're recording this, so I guess we're giving.
Speaker 4:God's message, you know, and if you don't believe in God, I get it. You believe in the universe, the universe sent us today.
Speaker 3:Yeah, yeah, yeah, you could, you could, you could if, if, could, if, if, if the doorknob gets you through the day, we not judging right, okay, right, but but like we just said earlier, like I'm always know where mike stands, we won't make sure the world always knows where we stand. Yeah, and we're not gonna be ashamed to talk about it, how it comes out of us, how it comes out of our heart, you don't. If it comes out of your heart, you'll never have to apologize, that's right, you know. I'm saying you just make sure you respect everybody and respect we respect everybody's space. You know what I'm saying. So, hey, like we said, eat the chicken, throw away the bones. There you go, take what you can use, leave the rest, it's all good and you know that's funny you saying that right now.
Speaker 4:Right you, you want to hear what the t-shirt is. You talk about t-shirt. You didn't even realize you started talking about t-shirt. They're like what are you talking about t-shirt and chicken? What, like, what are you talking about T-shirt and chicken? Well, let me give you guys, let me give you the guys, let me give you our wealthiest t-shirt for this episode. Anton didn't even realize it but here we go.
Speaker 4:Here's our t-shirt ladies and gentlemen, thank you for the spiritual, but here's the t-shirt. You can't have steak on chicken wing budget. You can't have steak on the chicken wing budget, brother. Hey, mike.
Speaker 3:You see wide up to the middle, like give me a let me get a man.
Speaker 4:Look at that. You want a four-piece chicken wing. We don't have filet mignon right now. Your pockets ain't saying filet mignon right now, bro.
Speaker 3:Don't let it be the same place you walk into every Tuesday. Anton, stop looking at the menu, bro. You come in and get the same thing. Look at the menu for five minutes, bro. Just get the chicken, bro, Listen and that's one thing.
