Speaker 1:

First and foremost, we want to be clear that what we are sharing with you are strategies and concepts that can be implemented by individuals who understand the logistics of how to approach such platforms as far as the literal, the mental and spiritual format needed to be successful with your aspirations what's up world?

Speaker 2:

happy new year. You're tuning in to fbn and this is another episode of Finance Bros Network, and I am the one half of finance Anton Lefwich, and this is Michael DePoe the other half.

Speaker 1:

Happy New Year, everybody. And we are coming to you live with Finance for Everyday People. We are honored to be here and to be able to serve diverse communities, as usual.

Speaker 2:

Yes, indeed, yes indeed. Man, indeed, man, mike, another season almost in the bag. Yep, you know I'm saying focusing on the mental and spiritual when it comes to finance, essentially the spirit of finance, and you know, hey, we hope everybody had a great holiday. You know, christmas, new year and everything. If he's out there celebrating, we hope it was done with the people that you love, family. We've been really excited to get back in this chair to wrap up this season. That's right. We got a lot of great things coming for you guys. We're gonna make a, we will finally make that special announcement uh, next episode like yeah, not season finale, we gotta give them a season finale.

Speaker 1:

We know this is our concept, this is what we usually do. We give you guys a recap. We just kind of want you to uh, kind of go back and and understand what each episode was about, and that's the best way to learn is to to keep repeating it, repeating it.

Speaker 1:

So maybe, uh, you missed an episode or you didn't catch something on the episode, and and what we're gonna do is, uh, for every single episode, we'll bring you key points of of each episode, based on the literal, the mental, the spiritual. So that means we're gonna pick one of those yep out of that episode that's one that we the best one that we liked, and then we're gonna elaborate on in, then we're gonna move on to the next. So that way, if anything tantalizes you, you can go back.

Speaker 2:

You can go back and go check it out and we're going to give you the t-shirt from each episode. That's right.

Speaker 1:

That's right we got this this season. We're giving you a t-shirt for every uh single episode, so that way you know whatever you guys hear, especially, we're going to make sure, uh, you know, those t-shirts come available to you coming soon, so that way you'll remember it and like, oh, that's from that episode. I wanted that t-shirt so you can go out there and cop it. So so. So, with no further ado, anton, we should just jump right into it. Let's get into it all right, all right.

Speaker 1:

Well, the first episode of season three of this season was. The title was Plan or Die, straight up.

Speaker 2:

That's pretty straightforward. That was pretty straightforward, right.

Speaker 1:

And we think the most compelling out of the literal, the mental, the spiritual, was the mental of the episodes, which says self-education, knowledge is power. Take time to read articles, listen to podcasts like us, like the one you're listening to now, or watch videos on financial literacy the more you know, the better decisions you can make. And then just just to throw out the t-shirt on that.

Speaker 2:

The t-shirt was you can't have steak on a chicken wing budget I know, I know, I know we have people can relate to us on that. You know what I'm saying Because we do sometimes live outside of our means and having a plan will allow us to have that confidence when we're going in. And whether it's just everyday life, what you want to eat for dinner, or even thinking about the future retirement, family and stuff like that.

Speaker 1:

So that's important, man, plan or die Straight up Right, and the self-education is hard for a lot of people, but guess what that's on you? Yeah, that's your responsibility, that's why it's a mental focus, that's why we felt that was the best out of that episode. But again, you want to hear the whole episode. You go back and then you could play it on on your streaming platforms or whatever. You want to play it on.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, yeah definitely, and, man, I gotta say this because this is in my heart, man, I, I you know, mike, I love talking about relationships because, it's just I mean, everything that we do is just it's, it's further developed by the amount of the quality of our relationships, right, and whether it's business or personal.

Speaker 2:

And you know, having a plan it really does a little. It's, it's solid, it makes that foundation concrete. Having a plan, which one? Because if something ever gets off, you just go back to the plan, that's it okay, well, we'll sit down, let's get on the same page. What was the plan? Okay? Has the plan changed, yes or no? And it has. If it has changed, how has it changed? And let's get back on the same page. If it hasn't changed, let's just remember what we got, what we started this thing for, and let's get back on this road, right, right. So I, I just I love that. So that really just hits my heart. So I want to, I want to. You know, I just wanted to repeat that for one quick second. So very valuable stuff plan or die, go back, check it out.

Speaker 2:

Then we go to episode two. Ben, don't break, right, love that title and you know it. It reminds me of just adversity, how it does come at us in everyday, in our everyday lives, and anything that we're doing, especially when you are entrepreneur, you're trying to do something, big adversity is going to hit, you know, and you could call it the universe, you can call it, you know. I choose to call it god, you know. But things that we want to do, we're going to be tested right and I, for me, I believe it's it's god making sure that I really want that thing.

Speaker 2:

He's like you, sure you want this, because this is what goes with it. This is the responsibility that's involved, and you're going to be forced to bend. You know what I mean. You're going to be forced to, to, to pivot and and have to find new ways to, to solutions and things like that. It's not always going to work out the way you plan, that's right. You don't say it's not always going to work out the way you had planned. Even if you got a master plan, okay, things don't always go according to plan, and that's life. That's life. That's life. So you go, you're gonna bend a little bit, but just don't break, that's right.

Speaker 1:

Don't give up right, don't quit all right, keep going.

Speaker 2:

Things gonna get hard, but persevere through it, and then you know that's and that's the whole. That's the thing we talked about freedom over fear, mike, always, you know I gotta go back to that because I'm getting chills right now.

Speaker 2:

So people because people have been asking me about. People been asking me about that lately. You know what I'm saying and I've been telling them and we will get into this in a little bit. You know what I'm saying. That's the meaning, that is the mantra. It's on what's on the other side? Fear is that procrastination. Fear is that hesitation. Fear is that hesitation. Fear is that I was going to work out today but I didn't. Fear is that I'm going to start going to eat healthy. I was going to start eating healthy but I didn't.

Speaker 2:

Okay, that is the equality of fear. Right, it's the thing that's standing in front of us. But on the other side of that, on the other side of that adversity, of that obstacle, of that thing we told ourselves we were going to do, but we let ourselves down by not doing it, which is the perfect way to destroy our confidence. The perfect way to build our confidence is keeping the promises that we make to ourselves, right. And on the other side of that fear is that freedom. That's right, freedom we've all been looking for, which is why we say freedom over fear. All right, so, bend, don't break. The favorite one out of this for us was the literal All right, don't break. The favorite one out of this for us was the literal Alright.

Speaker 2:

Cut expenses creatively, not drastically. Love that. Instead of cutting out all your entertainment or enjoyment, find ways to be resourceful. Look for free events in your community, borrow from the library. Borrow from the library instead of buying, which that's a great idea. Or start a swap group with friends or neighbors. That way you still enjoy life without breaking the bank. There you go. That's good stuff, mike man.

Speaker 2:

Hope, our wealthy is just feeling this out there, you know what I mean.

Speaker 2:

Seriously, I mean Greg, I mean listen to it, but catch it right, catch it, don't just hear it. You know what I mean. Make it work for you in your lives. When I'm reading at night, I, when I pray, I say, I say allow this word to, to, to take root in my heart and expand in my life. Right, so I actually apply the things that I learned, right, right, so, uh, and in the t-shirt, of course, I love this. I ain't broke Cause I'm. I want Hallelujah, hallelujah. It's already in you, bro, it's already in us, man, these gifts that we've been given, these things that we seem to do a lot better than others, whatever our special talent is, it's already in you.

Speaker 1:

You're not broke, that's right, and that's one thing we talk about all the time as a wealthy and right wealthy ends. We need to pivot all time. Yeah, because we're not being spoon fed one. We're not. We. No one was born with a silver spoon in their mouth so you can't just well, this didn't work. Let me just go in in the backyard and pick from the money tree.

Speaker 1:

That ain't happening, that's not happening, so so, sometimes you're gonna have to pivot, sometimes you're gonna have to bend, sometimes you're gonna have to bend, but what we want to make sure is that you're not breaking, and that's why it made so much sense to to find ways to get around that. That's what we're good at, you know, because we want to bring our upi up right underprivileged income up, yes, so so. So, finding ways to make sure we're still enjoying life and growing in the process. You know we have to figure out different things. We have to be smarter about how we go about life. When things come up in life is unexpected.

Speaker 2:

Yep, so that's right man bro, we got this episode could go an hour.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, we don't get, we don't get through it, we're gonna get through it.

Speaker 2:

I'm feeling this, though, man this is this, is this is touching my heart, man just going back in in and recapping on these things and that's why we tell them to go back and listen to the full episode because you'll get the full monty.

Speaker 1:

That's right of what we're talking about now. So, so that's why we're giving you this recap. All right, let's do it. So let's go to uh, episode number three, episode. It's like what love got to do with it?

Speaker 2:

that was part one, and that's the fight uh financially financially. Hey, quote, shout out to the yeah, yeah, and we definitely played that song on that episode.

Speaker 1:

We threw that out there what love got to do with it. And you know, and the out of the literal, the mental, the spiritual, the spiritual one out on this particular episode, which reads love can give you a reason to keep pushing through financial times. You have to believe and knowingly and knowing that you're providing for someone else or building a life together that can give you a deeper sense of purpose and resilience, even when the numbers in your bank account are low. Love is what happens. Love is what helps you bend, but don't, but not break what we were just talking about, even when your finance are stretched thin. And, like I said, that was in our last episode, you know. So, when we got to talk about love, you know and Tina Turner, what love got to do with it. That's what we were referring to. You know, yeah, we have love, but you definitely have to have the finance with it.

Speaker 2:

I mean, of course, man, what's the number one reason people break up? I mean, a lot of people get divorced.

Speaker 1:

That's one of the number one reasons I actually looked that up it. Is it the number one?

Speaker 2:

no, it's not it's not the number one it's number three.

Speaker 1:

I hate to mention the other two. It's it's so terrible that our country has gone to the like. Domestic violence oh wow, it's like it's it's crazy, but it's number three and it's 45 of divorce in our country now.

Speaker 2:

That is because of over finances, over finance so it's still a big number.

Speaker 1:

That's, that's a pretty jesus, it's still a big number, so so the t-shirt reads on that I. I may not have six figures in the bank, but I've got love on credit and that's priceless.

Speaker 2:

Love that. I love these T-shirts, brother.

Speaker 1:

Can't wait to put these all out. Listen, love, yes. What love got to do with it? Yes, you got to have love. That's the whole point of that episode is, yeah, love is there, right, but financially, is that there? Is that mindset there? Is that the way we get things done there as far as living, as far as doing the right things for each other or together as a family to make sure financially we're okay? And does the whole family pivot? Does one understand each other how to support when it comes to finance?

Speaker 1:

You know, and that's the whole point of the episode yes, thank God, you have family members that love you, but when that finance comes in, it puts a strain and a stress on the family. And then we hope, with the spiritual aspect, looking at it spiritually, because sometimes that's the resilience you need, that mind set of. Okay, let's pray on this, let's hope for this, let's put it out in the universe, let's do what's right and then hopefully it'll come back, or it'll just readjust itself and get back to what it is, so you can continue loving each other the way you've always loved each other amen, brother, amen.

Speaker 2:

And then, of course, we had to have a part two, part two what's love got to do with it? Part two something going on with the prenup, prenup all right that one ruffled a couple of feathers.

Speaker 2:

Brother, I know it did and I saw the numbers on this one, so you know, I saw it firsthand all right people was definitely digging into this one and, look, we wanted to give tools because for most people, okay, if you're gonna have a conversation about this, it's it's definitely uncomfortable, yeah, for most people, all right. So we wanted to wanted to encourage some tools and some some fundamentals on how to position this conversation, to even have it with someone that you love, so that it comes from a loving place, because, if it's coming, if I had a friend who used to say, if you want me to take it wrong, give it to me right. Then he said I would take the wrong way, give it to me right.

Speaker 2:

If it's coming from a place of sincerity and is genuine, is coming from, then that person will they, they, they have to receive that if they truly care about you. Sometimes, uh, in all of us who are in situations where we are building wealth together, if there's, if there's nothing from the start, I mean and when I say nothing meaning nothing of significance we're building our wealth together, especially for young couples, right, obviously you're probably not having these conversations because we didn't have anything when we started anyway, but you know what I'm saying. But for the people that do have something and they may have some type of fear involved in that bringing lives together, because there's two people coming together, right, and you're now going on your life together, you know there's a way to come from a place of love and have that conversation, sit down and then not, you know, not be all broken up after about it.

Speaker 1:

You know what I'm saying. Now I read something and I'm not sure of the specifics statistic, whether it's minority or black women, but it reads as they have surpassed the income of the black man or the minority. That makes sense.

Speaker 2:

These women are running companies bro.

Speaker 1:

So you know, we understand nothing against women. They are emotional creatures, that's how God made them, you know. So having that prenup will help the both of you, because then you can't. At the time you did the agreement and you came together, you signed a document. It's for that time. God forbid it ever comes up.

Speaker 2:

That's true, and we're doing it when we're not in an emotional state, exactly, and everything's on good terms. Right, we're coming to an understanding now and then you know.

Speaker 1:

Well, I'll have to disagree. I still believe, even with the man, it's still a little bit of an emotional scenario to sign pre-nup, Because it's not something that is accepted in society. Really, it's just like oh, it's for rich people, no Right right, it's for everybody. And you see, see, you know the talk about oh, prenup, he had to get a prenup. We have to normalize this because this is the right we, this is the generation that we're in. Yeah, yeah, women are not just home um barefoot and pregnant.

Speaker 2:

That's not, that's not our society, that's not our society anymore.

Speaker 1:

so now we need to put things in place to protect the boy, because real talk, if love is there, then whatever.

Speaker 2:

Right, what do we got to worry about? Anyway, right, we're going to be together forever, anyway.

Speaker 1:

Forever, yeah, right, if that true love is there, but you don't know what life is going to bring. You don't know what you have to do, you don't know where you have to bend, so you don't break.

Speaker 2:

That's true. We don't know what outside influences we might be having to deal with, so yeah, all these things are key.

Speaker 2:

So the mental and thank you for bringing that up, mike, because that is very important and the mental on this which was our favorite is this Addressing fears and concerns up front. Just like we were saying, having conversations about a prenup forces you to talk about your financial fears and concerns before they become major issues. It's not about planning for failure. I'm going to say that again. It's not about planning for failure. It's about having an honest dialogue about how you'll handle finances together. Love is all about transparency, and a prenup can help bring everything out into the open. That's what's up. My only thing is I need to elaborate on that.

Speaker 2:

That's straight up, straight, right and t-shirt on this one is love may be priceless, but a prenup makes sure that if it ever goes on sale, you won't lose your shirt.

Speaker 1:

That will bring me back.

Speaker 2:

That's a pretty good t-shirt if that don't make them want to go listen to that? I don't know. I don't know.

Speaker 1:

Now imagine you walking down the street wearing that and somebody reads that, especially somebody who went through it. What? I got a name like this oh my God.

Speaker 2:

Man I got a really good friend of mine. Oh man, bless his heart.

Speaker 1:

I mean he would probably buy a whole truck full of things right here and just start handing them out, just to give up. It makes him feel good yeah, I'm saving you. I'm saving you, man here, just just nope. Nope, it's free, just take it, just take it this, this is all on me oh, my god, oh man all right episode five. So episode five the title was you can't get with this, you can oh sorry, sorry yeah you can get with this rich or you can stay with that poor.

Speaker 1:

So pretty much is the mindset right. Yeah, the mindset is what you got to do to be rich or what you're going to do to continue staying poor. That's right, it's plain and simple. So so you know and we we kind of got it off of the you can get with this or you can get with that. That's where we got that from. But the, the one that won out on this, was the spiritual, and it reads whatever yours when whether you're someone sorry, sorry when where am I Sorry about that?

Speaker 1:

Sorry, sorry. Where am I Sorry about that? Whether you're someone who's looking to hold on to what you have or you're trying to plant the seed for a financial future, remember that it's all about perspective. Yep, yep, yep, yeah. Money is a tool that works best when you understand what it means to you and how it fits into your goals. Money can be a source of stress or a source of opportunity, sometimes both, but changing your perspective and belief can be the first step towards making it work better for you. That's good, bro. So that's that's the spiritual aspect of that episode that we felt that made sense for this and spirituals are good, yeah, so, so either either trying to get rich or staying poor.

Speaker 1:

Is that that you gotta look at those two different perspectives? What are you gonna do to stay rich, or what are you gonna do to get rich, or what are you gonna do this or what are you doing and you're gonna stay poor. Yeah, so we died? We dove into that in the episode, like, like we said, go back to the episode and then, if you really want to understand that concept, you'll see what we spoke about. And the T-shirt that came from the episode was money talks, but it's up to you to decide what it is saying.

Speaker 2:

Man, that's good.

Speaker 1:

Money talk, but it's up to you to decide what it's saying. Ain't that the truth?

Speaker 2:

some people are gonna get that on the way home and that's cool. Yeah, they listen to this.

Speaker 1:

Going to work and they're gonna get it when they're coming back home from. I gotta hear that again.

Speaker 2:

I love it, man, all right, episode six all about the benjamins, all right. So this and obviously you know the title is what the title is right. So you know, and we were talking about, uh, we were talking about the different, uh, the different financial entities of that and all about the benjamins, what that means. But essentially the mental all right we went into was financial confidence. Knowing that you have a policy of accumulating cash value creates a sense of financial security which changes how you think about spending and saving. And we went into that because we were talking about all about the benjamins and cash value, life insurance and different financial instruments that can, essentially, you can put into these types of vehicles and you can be sheltered from things like market loss. Okay, if something were to happen to you, your family will receive a lump sum of money to get through life or whatever it is, pay off bills, pay off a house. These are things that a cash value insurance policy can do for you because it is an insurance policy on your life, but it's also something you can use while you're still alive. Market goes up, the interest gained is supercharged. If the market goes down, the floor is zero. The plan does not lose money. All right, properly structured, properly funded and given time to mature. Remember those three rules, all right, and have it done ethically and morally. Make sure you keep up your end of the bargain, which is making the contributions consistently over a period of time. It is not a day one piggy bank, okay. This takes time to mature, so make sure you understand that and know the logistics of it.

Speaker 2:

All right, and have somebody that you trust in your corner who's advocating for you. All right. Obviously, if you want to get deeper into that, you guys already know you can reach out to us. Uh, we're, we're, we're here to fight for you. All right, so, but that was one aspect of it. We talked about a few other aspects too, but that was the one that was. I'm dealing with that every day, every day. All right. So then the t-shirt. Saving money is like planting a tree it might not give you shade today, but tomorrow you'll be sitting under it drinking Kool-Aid. Ain't that the?

Speaker 1:

it's the Kool-Aid, it's the Kool-Aid, but. But real talk, ladies and gentlemen, wealthy ends. You know, it's all about the benjamins. Think about that, you know, when we're hoping to have a master class soon with that.

Speaker 2:

Oh, that's definitely coming soon and we've been very careful about how we're going to put it together right right to be impactful, and we wanted to really focus on our wealthy ends.

Speaker 1:

Uh, of the people who are looking at the UPI and how it works with that underprivileged income, how it works with their underprivileged income. Yes, it's all about the Benjamin. So the only way you're going to be able to make it work for you if you understand how it works, right. Right, that's true, we could talk about money all day, but most it's so sad. Most people go to work, they get a paycheck and they're paying bills. You know how many times you hear that's what poor people do Go to work for bills. That's unfair and we want to change that.

Speaker 2:

We want to change that dynamic.

Speaker 1:

We want you to understand. We want you to reach out to people. If anything, we want people to understand yes, it's all about the Benjamin, but how does it work? You can't just say it's all about the Benjamin and you're not Biggie Smalls. You wasn't making that kind of money. And even Biggie Smalls, who knows, like we hope that some of that money went into the right place for it to be about the Benjamins.

Speaker 2:

We can only hope, and rather it rather is underprivileged or underserved. The bottom line is that there's a lot of us out there who have been far underrepresented, yes, in the marketplace, when it comes to anything finance, all right. And we, we really have to figure out a way to make like, like you say, you know where you it's just, it's talked about all the time and it's not uncomfortable, right, all right, just desensitize it, because there's some things out here that's being desensitized and it's the wrong thing, okay, so? So let's desensitize some things that are gonna really help us in life. Okay, all right, all right. And then we, oh, number seven, that was all you bro, number seven, listen, seven, listen, it still stands.

Speaker 1:

Guess what the government did give 19 days. So what's today? It's the 11th. You got eight more days.

Speaker 1:

The BOI we spoke about this. It was a PSA, a public service announcement. We felt we had to do an episode for this, because if you do have an LLC, the guys who are out there trying to be wealthy and who decide to get an S corporation or an LLC, llp, all those different type of government, state government entities, and they haven't been registered with the federal government. That's what this is about. It's the BOI is the beneficial ownership, ownership information. Now, it did go back and forth. They, some people, went to court to say, hey, we shouldn't have to do this. This violates our you know whatever amendment it was constitutional right amendment, you know where, where confidentiality will be exposed, so on. But guess what? They don't care. You know they're fighting the.

Speaker 1:

The government made it a law and that's it. It's gonna happen. So, either way, just do it, because this one it was the literal, very simple. It takes five to ten minutes to do it. Do it now, yeah, or go to jail and pay. That's the literal. So if you don't do it and you're going back and forth. Should I do it? Should I just do it? Just do it. It's like you have no control over this. This is bigger and way above anybody's pay grade, and so on.

Speaker 1:

This was Congress who put it together, put the law together, said this is going to happen, we can't fight it, we can't fight it. Together, said this is gonna happen, we can't find it, we can't fight it. So you know, just do it. So you're not not either paying for it, because the fines will be ridiculous. It's 591 a day and it could go all the way up to the point where they put you in jail if you don't do it for two years. So yeah, go out there. Pretty simple to me. If, if Finson is the website, finson, slash B-O-Y, just go, and if you haven't done it, please do it. Please do it Because you got till the 19th to do it.

Speaker 2:

And don't get swindled by somebody trying to charge you money.

Speaker 1:

I've seen some companies charge people $200, $300 to do it for them. It's free.

Speaker 2:

It's free. You can go do it for free Right. Buy yourself Finsengov Right.

Speaker 1:

Five minutes, okay Five minutes, five minutes Finsen F-I-N-C-E-N slash B-O-I dot gov. There you go, simple, just go do it. Go do it. All right, enough said. Hey we'll give them the t-shirt.

Speaker 1:

Oh to the spiritual scripture on this one it's luke 12, verse 2 and 3 what's done in the dark will come out to the light very simple period. So so don't don't put yourself in a situation where you're trying to do something in the dark and then it's going to become out to the light, because this is what happens if you're trying to do it in doctor absolutely.

Speaker 2:

And then, on episode eight, we're wrapping it up financial freedom versus financial shackles with my first asset. It's just more. For most people, this is going to be your first major purchase, which is, uh, always going to be your home, all right, the biggest asset you'll take on, the biggest debt we usually take on, is going to be our first home, all right, and we elaborated on this.

Speaker 2:

We broke a lot of this down. Mike had a genius platform for just breaking it down very simple and make it putting it in the steps for you guys. So we broke all of that down and we came with the mental on this, which is a favor for both of us, and that is be open to sacrifice. All right, we're talking about the spirit of finance in this season, remember that. So this is all about the spiritual, okay, the mental here Be open to sacrifice. Living in a smaller unit within your own property or taking on landlord responsibilities might require some sacrifices, but the short term inconveniences lead to long term stability.

Speaker 1:

Wow.

Speaker 2:

Can't say that enough. Telling you, brother and I and I love that because I don't think a lot of us thought of the possibility of having a duplex, living in one half renting out the other half. You know we can, you can find, you can find some opportunities like that out there and be willing to go a little bit further to to benefit more, and not only more but but faster, right in the future, right right, you have compound gains going right okay, because you're building equity on your, on your own situation.

Speaker 2:

Plus you have, uh, some. You're building equity on someone else's situation in that case all right, and the t-shirt here. Why buy a house that only pays you in memories when you can buy one that pays you in? Rent and that's the truth. Good, so why?

Speaker 1:

why have a single family home? That that yeah, you're building all these memories. But guess what you pour is?

Speaker 2:

it's crap. Yeah, you know, you pour is crap.

Speaker 1:

So so buy, buy that if you're new out there looking for a property, or and again, the master class is gonna.

Speaker 2:

We're gonna incorporate something about this in the master class once it comes out, I promise you, we're gonna make this happen, we're gonna make that part of it and you can go create some more uh memories with that extra rent you're getting right and the equity that builds on it you don't have to stay there forever.

Speaker 1:

We're talking about three to five years of sacrifice, most definitely, and then you can go get your spot, and then now you have an asset that's growing exponentially. So real talk. Go listen to the episode if you want to know more about it, but that's what we're talking about. All right, all right. Episode nine. Episode nine Drinking the Kool-Aid on a monthly debt.

Speaker 2:

This was big man, because we were talking about the holidays of every month and how it'll drain some of us. They always got something spectacular happening. Gotta go spend money.

Speaker 1:

Listen. We don't even have to go through the episode, but I want you to go listen to the episode, because then we mention every single month, every month, how the man got you going into your pocket to drink the kool-aid. That's right. It's causing monthly debt, yeah so you know every month something comes up. We just had christmas. I bet you a lot of y'all you know your pockets are kind of empty right now. I'm telling ghost town hey look, we talked about that with um.

Speaker 2:

You know, with the multi-level marketing true lies. You know, I'm telling you ghost town. Hey look, we talked about that with um. You know, with the multi-level marketing true lies. You know, I'm saying people, get, people, get into our heads and get into our hearts so we don't focus on what's going in our pocket or, in this case, coming out of our pocket exactly. You know what I mean? Because they get you. They get you right in the heart that's how it works.

Speaker 1:

So the, the one, that uh one out of it. This one was, uh, the. The subject was a spiritual uh uh practice. Gratitude, appreciation, marketers wants us to believe we're missing something, but gratitude reminds us. Reminds us we already have enough Gratitude and appreciation, right journal about gratitude and appreciation can help you stay grounded. Yeah, gratitude and appreciation can help you stay grounded. Like I appreciate you appreciate yourself and everyone else around you and what you have and what you need, but not for the things you want.

Speaker 1:

I love that man. That's really good. You know, I always say, always say, I appreciate you, I appreciate you. Think about that. Appreciate what you have. Don't get caught up with every monthly debt that the man has set for you. Don't drink the Kool-Aid. Do what you're supposed to do. Just focus on the gratitude of what you have, the appreciation of what you can do, the gratitude of what you have, the appreciation of what you can do, and then move forward and keep building your life as a wealthy Absolutely what you can, what you can celebrate, celebrate what you can't, you can't and just move forward. Don't, don't push yourself and the t-shirt that came from that don't let your bank account spring forward with the seasons, only to fall back into debt.

Speaker 2:

That's good. Good, that is good. Man, I love that. I love that. See that? This is why I don't want. I don't want to read these, didn't want to read these t-shirts until we came across them, because I wanted to hit me like it hit me the first day and I love that.

Speaker 2:

That's so true. And you know, we we are like you said, mike, appreciate. The appreciation part is so key because you already have really I mean, think about it, bro we already have everything that we need. Yeah, we do. At least in my own life, I could say that I'm so blessed, you know, and I know there's a lot of people out there who don't have the things that they need. You know, and we have to get out here and we have to win and be fruitful and do our best with our time so we can create opportunities to help more people.

Speaker 2:

If we're that concerned about the people who don't have anything, then, we need to make sure that we go out here and we create environments where people can go out there and win more and do more and be more. If we're that concerned about it, you know what I mean. If it's hitting you like that, well, guess what happens? If you go out and you get abundant with your life, now you can create opportunities for these people and really help them. Right, you know, I'm saying prayers are cool, high fives are free, but if we create opportunities for people, then, hey, you know, we, all of a sudden, we are starting to give these people a voice. That's right, all right. So I love that. And in this, episode 10. Yep, well, episode 10, right.

Speaker 1:

Right, right, right, all right.

Speaker 2:

The price of happiness? Is money, the key to yours? We're asking the question Wow, and this was huge right here, brother, because in the middle of the week I was, I believe, I called you yeah, you did, and I said, man, we got to do this happiness episode. Of course, we had to bring Pharrell on for a couple of minutes.

Speaker 1:

Shout out to Pharrell.

Speaker 2:

Because this happiness thing and I constantly am pondering this question in my own heart my happiness like what? Is it even Right? You know what I'm saying. What is it even Right? You know what I'm saying? Because there's never going to be a euphoric moment in life. Every single second of every day. Even my mom told me when I was a kid I was a happy kid, jumping around all the time, I always wanted to be entertained.

Speaker 2:

She's like she's like son, stop thinking. You have to be entertained all the time, son, there's not going to be a euphoric moment of every second of every day. There's gonna be some days, right. But again, if you go back, listen, if you have a plan, you have a focus, you have a dream, you have a goal and you're doing a little bit more towards it every single day. Once we even kind of get to a concept where we can understand that type of thing because I know, as kids we just you don't want to be happy and all yeah that's all you want to be, yeah, yeah, you want me.

Speaker 1:

I mean, you're a kid, I'm gonna have fun, enjoy it yeah, enjoy your childhood.

Speaker 2:

But you know, as we start to get older and we do start to see what life throws at us, understand that just because you're not having a euphoric moment in that dream that you set out to do doesn't mean doesn't always mean that it's not for you. It just means you're experiencing some adversity right now, right, all right. So be willing to push through it and be at your best that you can, all the time and consistently try to get better so that these moments that come down the road it might look the same as it did before, but now you know what to do, right. Right, because you know how to push through. All right. And again, some of y'all get that on the way home, but I was speaking from the heart, so that's what it is.

Speaker 2:

All right and the mental was our favorite on this one Practice financial gratitude. Gratitude isn't just for the big things. Be thankful for the small financial wins, or even personal wins, all right, like saving on groceries or hitting a budget goal. You know what I mean saving on groceries or hitting a budget goal? You know I mean walking a mile, whatever. You know working out right and better. All these things are wins if you're keeping the promises that you make to yourself. That is a win. Right all day, right all right, then, the t-shirt on this one was trust is not only something you feel about somebody, but something you should be putting on paper oh, sorry, sorry I actually switched up there, yeah, so true, true, excuse that's another one.

Speaker 2:

That's another one actually, you know, I still like that I like that, okay, so true happiness isn't for sale, but it's definitely in your budget. There you go. I love it. There you go.

Speaker 1:

That's great, right there, man. Yeah, we were working around with so but we we stuck on. True happiness isn't for sale, but it is definitely in your budget. I love that.

Speaker 2:

That's actually man, that is like one of them. I always say they're my favorite ones, though. So I feel like, yeah, well, that's the whole point, right, we like all of them. They're all my favorites, right, right, what is your favorite? All of them? So, hey man, there you have it, right, yeah?

Speaker 1:

so that's. That's pretty much all the episodes we're all cut up and then the season finality that's gonna be next week that's gonna be next week, but we, we're gonna announce, uh, the winning t-shirt for this season, for this season yes, all right, yeah, and we're finally going to make that.

Speaker 2:

We don't want to tease you for one more week, and then we're going to make that big announcement We've been promising you like half the season. Yeah.

Speaker 1:

But for this season, the winning T-shirt that we looked at from the top to the bottom. I don't know, Anton. I don't know if you agree with this one. I thought I don't know, I don't know. I know you, you like a lot of them, yeah, but but.

Speaker 1:

I think this was just suitable for our wealthy ends, and who people out there who understand, because, hey, life, life doesn't give you this all every single day. So here goes the winning t-shirt for this season that we picked was you can't have steak on a chicken wing budget and you know, I think you should have your favorite and I should have my personal favorite I do love that one, I definitely love that one, but this one right here, the true happiness, isn't for sale, but it's definitely in your budget.

Speaker 2:

Uh, for me, that just hits you somewhere that hits you right there I can just put my head on the pillow and call it a day after that one. You know what I'm saying. Well, there you go, I'm glad I'm glad that it's hard for us to decide right, and you know what?

Speaker 1:
