Strengthening The Mental To Secure The Bag

Your bank account never lives in isolation. It lives inside your mind, your habits, your stress level, and the story you tell yourself when things get hard. We get real about “Strengthening The Mental To Secure The Bag” and why the mental is the bridge between the literal world (bills, work, deadlines) and the spiritual world (faith, values, purpose). When that bridge is strong, your dream can move from your head to your heart and you stop quitting on yourself when life pushes back.
We also talk boundaries and self-care without guilt. If you’re always pouring into everybody else, you’ll eventually run dry, and that emptiness shows up as burnout, overspending, and resentment. One line says it best: you can’t pour from an empty cup. We connect that to daily mental training like affirmations, keeping your schedule, and choosing peace over chaos, because peace might feel expensive sometimes but it’s always cheaper than bad decisions.
Our guest, Michael J. Lewis, joins us with hard-earned perspective from a career in corrections counseling. He shares what he saw working with youth from all backgrounds, what resilience looks like under pressure, and how simple routines and simple living can protect your mental health and your finances. We bring it home with practical wealth-building reminders around saving, investing, long-term planning, and staying consistent even when the economy feels uncertain.
If you want better financial discipline, stronger mindset habits, and a calmer path to building wealth, hit play. Subscribe, share this with someone who needs a mental reset, and leave a review with the one habit that helps you protect your peace. See You At The Bank!! SYATB

The Mental Bridge Between Worlds
SPEAKER_02Hey man, we got a special, special episode for y'all today, man. I man, Mike, you really did your thing with this one, bro. You know, you know I had to do what I had to do, brother. Yeah, he definitely did his homework. And man, we as we as we picked up in our last episode, actually, this stemmed from something that was said in our last episode. So we wanted to expand on it in this episode. And we even also brought a very special guest with us. And I'm going straight to my phone with my notes because I'll make sure I don't, I'm gonna make sure I do this justice. All right. So this episode is gonna be about strengthening the mental to secure the bag, and our very special guest is gonna be here sharing valuable insight on building and maintaining strong ment a strong mental foundation. All right. So we're excited to bring this to y'all today.
SPEAKER_03And you know what, Anton? Before we start, since it's gonna be about the mental, I wanted to play this. And then this is this is this is for all of uh the hip hop world, and and it might seem a little crazy, but I I I think I think you guys are gonna enjoy this. Here we go. Here we go. We're gonna play this. My mind is playing tricks, mommy.
SPEAKER_02Appreciate that, Mike. Always, always, always. And this is perfect for that, man. Talk about our mind playing tricks on us, man, because it can happen sometimes.
SPEAKER_03Hey, that and that's the real, that's the real. And that's why we we we wanted to talk about this episode. I know we're having a little bit of fun, but mental strengthening of our mental health is so important. Yeah, you know, on our show, we have uh, I'm usually presenting the literal, and Anton is presenting the spiritual where he's very passionate about, and we can see his passion when he talks about the spiritual, but the uh mental aspect often connects both of those areas like a bridge. Remember, Anton said that on the last episode? He's like he had an epiphany, and guess what? We took the epiphany of the epiphany and then we made it a whole episode. How about that too, man?
SPEAKER_02We had to because there's so much we gotta expand on in this thing. And I wanna, I wanna, I'm gonna go to my notes briefly, but then I'm gonna come from the heart because I wanna I wanna really open this up for you guys, okay? But Mike, when we did this episode, he did the he did the writing on this episode. He been in so he brought up some really good points that I want to make sure I don't miss. So I'm gonna kind of read those word for word, if you don't, Mike, if you don't mind, Mike.
SPEAKER_03Brother, all right, we need this to be heard. Are you wealthians need this to be heard because this is not something we talk about? It is something that in our society, especially for us as uh underprivileged society, aka, you know, the words that we don't say, the government calls us financially, but our uh our underprivileged uh income society do not address this, and it is so important, it's so vital uh for our health, for our safety, for our mindset, and for us to get the bag as as the uh title stated. Absolutely. Go ahead, hit those notes, Anton, because we want our people to understand what we're talking about today.
SPEAKER_02So, in general, we see the mental as the bridge between the literal and the spiritual, okay? And that's what really hit our hit hit my heart, our hearts in this last episode, because it just hit us at all at one time, and it was this big idea, and we really want to drive it home. So, but seeing it like this, the literal, is what we see and deal with every day. All right? Touch it, feel it, all that stuff, all right. Right. And then of course, on the spiritual side, we well, and then look, you can you can believe in God, or I I choose to call, you know, Jesus Christ. That's my that's my higher power. I I choose, but if your door, if you're if you the doorknob or whatever gets you through the day, we're not hating on you here at Finance Bros, okay? Because everybody takes a different path to get somewhere sometimes, and that's just what it is, okay? So we're speaking our faith, we're speaking our our story, right? And we hope it motivates somebody out there, okay? But see, on the on the on the mental, the mental being that bridge because there's this look, there is this time, and my mentor told me this a while back. There is a time in business that your dream, your purpose will go from your head to your heart. And the gap in between that is the mental because you're going through it every single day. You're dealing with hardships, you're dealing with trials, you're dealing with challenges, we're dealing with people, all right? And sometimes we can get caught up in that literal because there's so many things coming at us. We forget why we even started in the first place, Mike. Yeah, I hear that. We forget why we even started on this mission and why we even what our why even is. Right, right. You know, I mean, we forget, man, I'm trying to do this for my kids, and then all of a sudden we're not showing up because I got something going on with my kid. Right. The why becomes our why not. So, but the moment that dream can go from our head to our heart, that's the moment that everything changes. That doesn't matter what the obstacle is, we're gonna make it happen. We're gonna man Mike has to deal with so many challenges. I I I give you so many props, bro. You go through so many challenges just to get here to this chair. Yes, that's why I say we're back in the chair.
SPEAKER_04That's right.
SPEAKER_02Because it takes so much for us to even get into the for me to get into this next room. You know what I'm saying? Every every week or every where however often we do it, and the connections, the relationships we build, man. I'm I'm telling you, I'm telling you this from my heart, man. The relationships we build day to day, the challenges we face day to day. But look, it doesn't even matter because this mission, it it was in our head at first, but now it's in our heart. So that gap, that mental, we have it down packed so much because we practice and we've exercised it so much. And that is it is that mental is a muscle, Mike. Right. We have to exercise it. And it's either exercising for the good or it's exercising something bad. So that's what that really means to me, man. From our from from from this thing, when for your for our wealthiest, for our people out there, anybody, don't matter, black, white, green, purple, brown, when you got that dream and you got that purpose and you got that vision and it's in your head, when it goes, when you when you bridge that gap with the mental, the mental being the the way you look at things, the way we look at things, that's gonna bring that vision from our heads into our heart. And after it hits our heart, can't nobody or nothing stop us from making it happen.
Dreams Move From Head To Heart
SPEAKER_03And you know, I I wanted to mention this, Anton, you gotta be selfish. This is the only time I'm a selfless person. Man, say that. But you have to be selfish when it comes to the mental. And the reason why I'm saying you have to be selfish because you have to take care of yourself first. If you're out there taking care of somebody else and you're not taking care of yourself properly mentally, how are you gonna get to the back? That's what we talk about all day on Finance Gros Network. Yeah, how are you gonna get to the back? This is why we're kind of you know focusing on this mental aspect because we always talk about the literal, and Anton is always even even his mental speech was spiritual. But but we have to focus on uh uh uh doing this for ourselves. We have to kind of the loved ones would have to understand if they truly love you, if that partner truly loves you, they have to understand you have to take care of your mental first because they might be taking care of their mental. Matter of fact, you might be the one supporting them taking care of their mental. But what about your mental?
SPEAKER_00Right, true, true, true.
Faith Framing And Personal Purpose
SPEAKER_03What about your mental? That's true, man. So, you know, and and this leads me right into um my synopsis of this. And I decided to take the baton from Mr. Anton Lefwich here. Definitely gave you some spiritual on this one, man. And I'm I'm gonna go a little spiritual. And and truth be told, today is Easter Sunday. It's a religious holiday, Easter week. A lot of people are celebrating this holiday. So I I felt that this episode, and I know you guys are gonna see it after the fact. We get it, or you're gonna hear it, our podcast audience, you're gonna hear it after the fact. But we wanted to make sure we bring some of the uh that information to you. And it doesn't matter when you hear it, it's as long as you get the information, you you adapt to it, you you absorb it, and then you take it with you. So basically, um, my part of what I wanted to say, and I what I wanted to get across to the audience is you know, have you ever heard of this phrase, God help those who help themselves? Okay, believe it or not, that saying is not in the Bible. I looked it up too, man, because I was like, really? So that saying was coined by uh uh a person in 1686. Yeah, that's a way long time ago, allergen Sydney. So we got to give him credit. And it was 1698, he he he started that phrase, God help those who helped himself. But the person that really popularized the phrase was Benjamin Franklin. So Benjamin Franklin took that phase, phrase, and then he made it more popular. As you know, Benjamin Franklin was very popular with everything that he did. But I went back and did a little bit of uh of a research. So I wanted to make sure that everybody understand where this comes from. If it's that so technically that phrase did not come from the Bible, but in essence, it did. And I also want to uh take a personal moment. I hope my son is watching, and I'm gonna make sure he's watching. Mr. Mitchell Martin DePoe. This this part is really for you. He he's uh uh he serves as a ministerial servant, similar to a deacon in his religious organization. And and last week he did a uh 30-minute um, you know, um, like a little seminar with his conversation. And I was fortunate enough to be able to watch it on Zoom. I really wish I was there in person, but I want to say now, son, I love you, and you know, I'm really proud of you and being such a strong spiritual person that that just you know fills my heart. But okay, enough with all the proud dad stuff, all the mushy stuff. Let's let's get let's get to to why um that saying shout out to your son, man. Thank you, thank you, man. Tom, thank you. So let let's let's figure out how did that saying come about. God help those who help themselves. So here's how I believe the phrase was connected to the scripture. So now we we look at Proverbs, and this is uh new translation, and it it has different variations, different Bibles, but in essence it stays the same. Okay, so uh Proverbs 16:3 says, Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and your plans will succeed. Think about that. Commit to the Lord for whatever you do, and your plan would uh will always succeed. So that means putting God first, but then we look at Genesis verse 27, which remain uh reminds us that God created us as his image. When you put those ideas together, it shows that when you commit yourself to God doing your best and living with purpose, you are strengthening yourself mentally and spiritually. That's why I believe the idea behind God help those who help themselves resonates very strongly with all of us. See, I I I hope everybody gets that. And I know I'm being a little spiritual, and I and I got one more and I got one more spiritual aspect for you guys, and and wealthy, I really want you guys to take ownership of it because I know a lot of us out there have this mindset, you know. So on in Ephesians 4 28, let the one who steals steal no more, rather let him do hard work, doing good work with his hand, so that he may have something to share with someone in need. Okay, so God didn't never said not to help somebody else, but he said, let your hard work, let you do the hard work first, and then you're able to help somebody. Okay, so what did that what does that mean? Let's put this in the perspective of your mental. Your mental's gotta be strong in order to somebody to support somebody else's mental. And it could be anybody, anybody that you love, you're in love with, your mental's gotta be strong. How your mental is not gonna be strong enough to do what you need to do right for yourself, make you feel good, and help somebody else feel good. Or you're giving all that energy to that other person, then what happens to you? Yeah, yeah. Most of the time, you'll be helping that person, and then unfortunately, we're selfish creatures, they'll forget you after they get to where they want to be, or if they at the point they need to be and forgot who was the one to help. But now you're you have a lack of a mental stability for you to achieve what you want to achieve, but yet that other person is flourishing.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_03You know what that builds resentment.
SPEAKER_02It does, yeah. You will resent, we will resent those people because we feel like that's the reason that we're not able to be our best self or be the best version of ourselves now. Right. And you know, you said you said about uh you said somewhere in there uh earlier we were talking about this about pouring out of a cup. That's all yeah.
SPEAKER_03Actually, I wanted to mention that. Yeah, I was gonna mention that. You you got in front of me, brother. Go ahead. And he said, You can't pour from an empty cup. That's a t-shirt. You said that.
SPEAKER_02That's a t-shirt.
SPEAKER_03You can't pour from an empty cup.
SPEAKER_02I'm glad you said it just like it's those exact words said in that exact way. Man, I love that, brother. You can't pour from an empty cup.
SPEAKER_03So, so you know, wealthy ends, we gotta build ourselves, we gotta be strong for ourselves first. We gotta have that mental stability in order to go out and help everybody else. Because what's gonna happen if you're not mentally strong, people will take advantage of you, you will lose yourself, and this is a particular muscle. Again, we started this, we talked about how we always talk about the literal, and then you know, we we always put the spiritual because that's that's why whenever something goes wrong, something happened. Oh God, oh God, we just saying it all, oh God, oh God. But nobody says mentally, hey, wake up today. Are you gonna make sure you follow your schedule? Are you gonna make sure you do your affirmations? Are you gonna make sure you you stick to what you said you're gonna say? Are you gonna uh if you if you're on a diet, uh, you know, are you gonna uh um go against that diet, you know? All these things are mental things that you have to do. It's a mental muscle you constantly have to work. Remember, the literal and the spiritual, the mental is a bridge. Guess what? A bridge constantly has to be maintained. You keep crossing that bridge and don't do nothing to it. Guess what? It's gonna fall apart and you're gonna fall down. That bridge gotta be maintained.
SPEAKER_02That bridge has to be maintained. And look, the toll gotta be paid every single day. Right. All right. Success is not owned, it's rented, and rent is due every single day. You got to feed that. You might as well put that on a I think I seen that one somewhere, but still, we're saying it here. Right? And I'll go ahead, go ahead. I want to say this real quick too, because we've talked about this in other episodes, but I do want to re-mention it here. Make sure there's an agreement. Your kids, with our with our kids, let's say us, us, our, because it's us. We are a family. We are we are the world and we are a family together. Let's make sure our kids, the people we love, our wives, our brothers, sisters, moms, whatever, make sure, let's make sure we have an agreement. Hey, daddy's might, daddy might be a little bit unavailable for a period of time. Right. Or, babe, I might be a little bit unavailable for a period of time. This is gonna hurt for a little bit, but let me tell you what all this is for. So they know, you know what I mean? When daddy gotta work a little bit, a couple extra hours, it's because we're going to Disneyland. Right. Or it's because we're going on vacation more.
SPEAKER_01Just we're gonna suffer for a little bit so we can live the rest of our lives. So we can enjoy it. Yes, enjoy the rest of our lives the way that's right.
SPEAKER_03Let daddy build his mantle, let mommy build their mantle. Yes, and then we all can benefit from it.
SPEAKER_02Yes, man, because a lot of times people just don't understand the people we love, they just don't understand why this is happening. So we want to just remember that. And we want to make sure that everyone around us, the people we love, people we care about, the people we're doing this for, we're fulfilling this this mission, this purpose, this dream for. Let's make sure they all understand what they are a part of.
Guest Michael J Lewis Joins
SPEAKER_03All right. And and it's important to mention, we are here to hold accountability have an accountability for each other. Amen. There's gotta be an accountability for each other, for everything, for the literal, for the mental, for the spiritual. We have to have accountability. And, you know, with that being said, we're gonna introduce our special guest. Excited! Our special guest is Michael J. Lewis. Amen. Glad to have you here, Michael. So here is our special guest, Michael J. How are you doing today, Michael?
SPEAKER_05Oh, I'm good, I'm good. Happy Easter. Uh, I just wanted to thank uh the Finance Bros Network and platform and uh everybody else for having me here today. God is good.
SPEAKER_03Thank you, thank you, Michael. Now we're gonna allow Michael to tell a little bit about himself and uh why we felt that he was just such an important guest for us today and and and what he can what he has to offer to help us in our in our mental status to have in our society. So, Michael, go ahead and take it away. Introduce yourself, tell us a little bit about yourself.
SPEAKER_05Okay, well, um my name is Michael Lewis. Um I'm currently retired. I worked in uh law enforcement as um in the field of corrections. Um it's a pretty challenging field. I did that for 16 years, and um I made it through. You made it what? That I made it through.
SPEAKER_03Okay. I'm paroled. I'm paroled. You're still here. You're still here. That's what's up. That's what's up. I love you. Uh that's great, Michael. Um, you you mentioned that you worked in corrections and and I believe it was at a juvenile center uh up north in in the state of California. As a as a consultant, and I believe that's what you were, right? Uh a consultant?
SPEAKER_05I was uh actually a counselor. Counselor, sorry. I'm talking about having the mental straight. Right, right.
SPEAKER_03As a counselor, that's right. As a counselor, when you were engaging with uh a a lot of these, um, and um I I want to make sure we we call Correctly call them what they are. I don't want to say, you know, what people say for for other people, but the people that were in that juvenile center, when you had to do counseling with them, what did you see as far as their mental and how did you help them through those processes?
SPEAKER_05Well, um, I worked with uh, we'll call them the youth or the juveniles or the wards of the state. Um they were from all over California. You had the Bay Area, you had Sacramento, you had you had Northern and Southern California. Um, you had the best of the best and the worst of the worst. Um now the challenges that they brought about, um, a lot of these uh youth were gang entrenched. Um actually some of them came from very wealthy families, so we had a mixture of everything. Um, you know, they just made some mistakes.
SPEAKER_03Right.
SPEAKER_05Um, you know, what they did the same thing that I did pretty much, you know, they did their time and eventually they got paroled. And fortunately some of them continued, you know, to follow that path and you know, they they got locked up again. You know, to each their own. They had to make a decision and you know, they had to live with the decisions and choices that you know they made.
SPEAKER_03Okay.
SPEAKER_05So as far as their mental health and all of that, um, you know, they they really had it good. Um, you know, I would I talked to them when I was a counselor and I just reminded them like, look, you're safe here, you know, there's no guns, there's no drive-bys, you guys have a room. I mean, they were they were they were pretty much spoiled. You know, they had the best medical, they had the best dental, you know, better than better than we have it on the Alps. So I I would say, you know, there there was some bad times there, but there was also a lot of good times. It was really their choice.
Corrections Work And Youth Mindsets
SPEAKER_03So, Michael, basically, uh the the the interaction you had uh with these juveniles and and uh I believe as a counselor, you know, you're you're trying to help them uh I guess navigate from from unfortunate and an unfortunate situation to try because I think even though yes they're incarcerated, we're trying to help them maybe engage back into livelihood if they're gonna have that opportunity, or um make sure that they have an understanding of what they're doing and how society works and what their mental state needs to be. So is was there a regimen that you had to follow through? And and I'm gonna piggyback that with asking you, how did that affect you mentally? Because a lot of people don't think if I'm hearing crazy stuff every day, how is it affecting me mentally? So, so how did you help them? And then once you finish helping them, how did you help yourself? That's a good question.
SPEAKER_05Well, to help them, you know, I shared a lot of my personal stories, and you know, for me, I chose sports over negative stuff, over gang activity, over silly stuff. Sports always kept me busy. Um, you know, unfortunately, you know, some of them just chose the gang lifestyle and they stayed in that direction.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_05So um as far as the mental me taking care of myself, you know, uh I've learned over time, you know, uh you know, just a lot of self-care, you know, massages, um you know, just pampering yourself, you know, haircuts, getting your nails done, you know, whatever. Yeah, yeah. Going away, going on a fishing trip, something just for you. Something just to benefit you.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, yeah, I like that.
SPEAKER_03I'm all for the self-class.
SPEAKER_05Self-care is very important.
SPEAKER_03Right, right. And and just a little joke there. We like to keep it funny. It's just interesting you mentioned haircut.
SPEAKER_02You know, I guess high and tight. Get a nice, smooth, clean shave.
SPEAKER_05At least for this interview, it's gotta be high and tight. So there you go. There you go.
SPEAKER_03But again, I I guess bring bringing that uh form of you know uh uh um joy and and fun to to the environment. Um, I always believe that uh if if you're bringing happiness uh even in in in the worst environment, that you're helping somebody mentally. So I'm I'm glad that you know that's that's some of the things that you did. But um, you know, I just it's just interesting. Even after you have retired, have you has has the mental scenario of what you were in? Uh I mean, obviously you were doing this for over 20 years, I believe. Right. So it it has it has to stick with you even after retirement. It had to have gone from your head to your heart at some point. It definitely went from your head to your heart at some point. So for for our wealthians out there, what what are you doing even after retirement? What what gold nuggets you have for us? Because this is what we're doing every day. We're struggling to day by day, we have to get up, we hear bad news, we hear, you know, there's always something going on in unfort in our unfortunate underprivileged community that's not positive. So uh what what you can give our audience based on you what your regimen is, especially coming from something that you did every day for for all those years, how can you help our environment uh where we can have something that we could look forward to every day that we could do?
SPEAKER_05All right. Well, well, you know, why the end near the end of my career in corrections, I was making a lot of money working a lot of overtime. And luckily I was able to put that overtime money away. And you know, I saved my money. I didn't go making no big purchases or anything, you know. I kept my life simple. Kind of that KISS acronym, keep it simple, stupid. You know, you just stick with that. You know, I had a lot of co-workers that bought a lot of flashy things, boats, fancy cars, houses. You don't need to buy all that stuff.
SPEAKER_00Right, right.
SPEAKER_05That's not necessary. Just keep your life simple because when you die, you can't take all that with you.
SPEAKER_00Right.
SPEAKER_05So, you know, with with the youth, wards, juveniles, whatever, you know, I would tell them, you know, I I guess I kind of live the motto health versus wealth.
SPEAKER_00If you're healthy, you're wealthy. Right.
SPEAKER_05Because I had a lot of brothers, you know. I didn't make it.
SPEAKER_00I hear you, brother. Man, brother. Bless your heart, man.
SPEAKER_05Bless your heart, man.
SPEAKER_00I see that. I see that passion in your eyes.
SPEAKER_05You you the three of us are just all lucky to be here today.
SPEAKER_00We are. We are, we are. We are, man. We are very blessed.
SPEAKER_03And and and speaking about it, Michael, and uh putting it out there, you know, I hope it's helping, uh hope it helps somebody uh to see, you know, the the passion you have uh in in helping people and and what we're doing here at Finance Bros Networking Network to make sure we bring this to the platform. Um so that way somebody out there would hear what we have to say, take heed to what we have to say, and and and just take ownership of that. So so they can be like us, you know. We we were able to make it through. So uh I I I appreciate so much what you uh what you gave us. Um do you have any questions for him, Anton?
SPEAKER_02I I just want to say thank you for sharing, you know, your your your testimony open and honestly. And you know, for Mike, I mean I'll I I'll say this Mike doesn't mention many names to me about when it comes to FBN because this is our our baby, and he takes it very, very seriously. So just for him to speak up and say your name and that hey, you know, we were gonna have you on the show, that said everything I needed to know about you, and you know, you are I see it in your eyes, brother. That's that's real, and that's that's respect.
SPEAKER_05I appreciate it. I just want to thank you guys for you know having me on your show. And you know, just like I'm trying to help and give, you guys are doing the same thing here.
SPEAKER_00Amen, brother. Amen.
SPEAKER_03Well, well, thank you, Michael. Again, I appreciate you. Uh that's what I tell everybody. Put the check in the mail. The check is in the mail, and we're we're gonna keep pushing and making sure that everybody gets the word and gets to understand. And again, we appreciate you and thank you very much, Michael.
SPEAKER_05All right, God bless, brother.
SPEAKER_02All right, God bless, brother. So, man, Mike, I think with that, man, we can get into the breakdown, brother. Oh, man. Do we wanna do we wanna do that? Or do we have that? Oh, yeah, absolutely. Absolutely. I mean, hey, look, man, this is this is I want I want to just say this is a special episode for me, for sure, because when I talk about when we talk about things going from our head to our heart, there's a lot that goes on in between. And that mental, that bridge that we that we build and maintain is everything for it to get there.
SPEAKER_00Right, right.
SPEAKER_02I mean, and what what Michael just shared, man, I I saw that in his eyes, bro. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Self Care Plus Simple Living
SPEAKER_03And that was one of the reasons. And and a quick disclaimer, Michael is actually my uh two daughters' uncle. Oh, well. So we do have a personal connection, you know, just in case anybody out there is like, oh, but yeah, and and so we do have a relationship, yeah, yeah, yeah, for sure. So and that's why I see his trials and tribulations. I've heard of all the things that he's gone through, and that's why I felt it was so important for him to come on the show to give his version and what he's gone through uh with uh the mental uh uh aspect of uh society, and it'll be great to hear from him. So just jumping right into it, Anton, the literal support necessities first to have the foundation of your mentality. Man, I like that. And and you know, Michael even mentioned it. How he is he living? He's living a simple, he he chose simple instead of wealth, health before wealth, yeah. Health before wealth, yep, yeah right? So this is the exact thing for our literal. Support the necessities first. Make sure your health is good, make sure you have everything. Man, what do you have? Right.
SPEAKER_02Okay, all the money in the world.
SPEAKER_03So make sure your health there, make sure you have everything you need to live your life. Now, the mental in the mental. Focus on all of your survival strategies, then reward yourself with emotional relief. Yes. So you gotta focus on what you need to survive mentally and then go to your emotional release. And your emotional release could be going to the movies, your emotional release could be going out to play soccer or play baseball, play basketball. But make sure you're able to don't say, you know what, I'll figure it out later. No, work that muscle, that mental muscle, make sure that mental muscle is is is on point before you say, Okay, I'm gonna go have fun. Yep. Yeah, so that is the mental. On the mental.
SPEAKER_02I love it, brother. And go to spiritual, you know, I gotta give you spiritual, man. So here, I'm gonna word for word, so I'll make sure I don't want to get this one missed, okay? So the mint the spiritual here is believe in your peace instead of giving into worldly desires. There you go. Look, let me tell y'all something, man. Believing in our peace first. And that could that could have to do with denying ourselves. Whatever it is, deny ourselves food, deny ourselves uh TV, deny ourselves uh social media, whatever that is. Believing our wanting our peace more than we want all these things, that's that's that's that time we get. That helps us to bridge that gap at the end of the day. All right, because it's our peace. At the end of the day, that's what that's what you that's what you that's what you need to have the the the self-care for and and have the the self the selfishness at times for is to to bridge that gap and have that peace in our heart because like like Mike you was saying, you know, you can't pour from an empty cup. Yeah, that's great. That's our recharge. That's us filling our cup to be at peace and then to be able to go out and give it to the world.
SPEAKER_03There you go. Yeah, man. You couldn't say it any better, Anton, because again, we're trying to get to the bag, and all of this is to help you for all the stuff that we've taught you before, and we're gonna go to the best best practice, just in case you follow it. Oh, we gotta get from that. But but this is to help you to get to the bag, to secure the bag. You gotta be able to mentally be ready to do what you need to do day in and day out, so and then have your affirmations. You got the literal, you you read books, you you listen to Finance Bros Network on the podcast, you you watch us uh on HHN TV. Okay, so you got all the tools, right? So just work it. Work it, work it mentally, and that means you you set something to be done, you get it done. You want to make something happen, you make it happen. Don't stray from it. Okay, and this brings me to the t-shirt, Anton. Peace might feel expensive sometimes, but it's always cheaper than bad decisions. I know that's right.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, that piece does feel expensive sometimes, but it's definitely listen again.
Literal Mental Spiritual Breakdown
Wealthian Creed And Closing Plugs
SPEAKER_03And as expensive as that. Exactly. Instead of saying, Oh, let me buy this car, it's gonna take a heck of a long time to pay, why not buy something that you're not paying on, and all you have to do is maintain it. You could afford that. There you go. Instead of say, well, I'm gonna spend the money for this, and then at the end of the week, you know, let's say you're going out with your friends, and then you're buying everybody drinks, and then by before the next check comes, you you asking, hey, hey, you got you got money for lunch. Right. Bad decision. Again, bad decision. All right. And how does that help your mental? So this brings us to the best practice. The desiderata. The desiderata. You know, that's my favorite thing, man. This is my favorite thing in the top. All right, here we go, wealthians. Here's here here's the best practice, the desiderata. Whether it's Trump or anyone else in office, remember you are the president of your pocket. The wealthian creed is what matters most for your future, and don't forget it. Wealthians, the way you move today is how you will slay tomorrow, maybe with digital currency. Because ready or not, here it comes. So learn it and embrace it. It's because it could be the future of the finance. Or you can jump into something that's more regulated. Therefore, you feel you can trust like fractional stocks. But whether it's this or that, wealthians don't spend it, invest it, and with some money coming in, get a cash value life insurance policy that can grow the money or benefit your family on maintaining a legacy and a wealthian status. That is why leveling up your mind and your pockets for the holidays and every day should be your first option. So for 2026 strategy on your financial plans without emotions conflict to your peace in in order to grow wealth, but this stagnation and K-shaped economy, it can be a challenge to grow. So remember the wealthy and creed with FBN. P, B, and C. Be patient, be on time, be consistent with the P B and J. Be polite, be bold, and be joyful while you're doing it. And even with all that, we still have to strengthen our mental to ensure that we're where we are, even selfishly at times, doing what's right for us so we can grow and succeed to support others. Amen.
