Today, I am sharing a few lessons I learned during my last three months in Montreal. These are personal lessons that you can apply to your leadership health.

I knew I had to take the step to seize the opportunities, but I still felt stuck waiting on God to move. The Holy Spirit showed me that you take the first step, and God will do the rest. I have seen the hand of the Lord upon my life and work. It is the process, not always the results, that builds capacity. The Father deeply loves me.

Have a listen and do reach out when you can. Follow me on YouTube and IG for the daily alignment that will be happening next week.

Well, hello, hello. This is Yvonne Wissella, back again with Restore to Rise Podcast, where we speak all things emotional, spiritual, and leadership health. People, this is such a crucial time for you, especially as leaders. And you know, my Simon is to speak to you and to your heart, to that internal structure. You know, the heart is the place where the emotions and the thoughts they all dwell there, and we need to be good stewards of that. And more than ever before, I'm committed to that, and uh I want to be consistent. That is my challenge now today. It's to say I'm gonna be consistently speaking to us, and I'm doing something new over the next few weeks. It's called it is called uh daily alignment, really to share a few thoughts every day for about 40 to 50 days. I don't know, I'm gonna promise how long, but I just know it's on my heart, and uh, I'm in the season when God is telling you something to be obedient and to to step up and to do it. And so I'm gonna start mine by just giving you a quick overview of my time in Canada. I just came back from Montreal, I was there for three months. I know that most of you know that I went away, and those of you are listening, you know that I had some good times with you. I just want to say that it was such a rich time of ministry and a rich time of sharing and of learnings and of networking. Uh so I'm gonna share it just very generally and not uh very structured, but I'm just gonna share my heart with you today. I want to encourage us people that you know, as as leaders, especially, and I believe leadership in a broader definition, every person who has a space where they influence, whether you're a mother, you're a teacher, you're a pastor, you're an entrepreneur, you are a friend, you're every person who's a kingdom person who loves the Lord and who wants to bring light and bring the purpose of God into that space that you are occupying. This is for you. And my heart specifically in this season is for for women in leadership, but this is a conversation that anyone can look into. So I want to say to you one of the things that I've learned over the last few months is that God is going to take us to new levels. You always hear me say that it's your next level, it's your new, you know, new season. And as we move forward into that, the only way that we're gonna know that is by taking huge steps, not little steps anymore. Because in 2026 and where you are at right now, because I'm speaking to high capacity people, take the bold moves. I'm learning this, I'm just giving you a summary of my learnings over the last few months. God will move when we take a step of faith. Don't wait for everything to be in alignment, don't wait for all wait for all the finances to be there, don't wait for all uh the things to be ready. There's a beautiful verse. I don't have it right now with me, but it says that you know, we we want to wait for all the conditions before we we can move forward, but you don't need to wait for everything. And so when I said I'm gonna go, I was waiting a bit, and then when I when I just dis I just declared it that I'm gonna go, I'm gonna say yes to an opportunity that was given to me over there uh to minister, and even although all the funds and all the all the dots were not didn't align yet, I just said yes and then moved forward, and God just opened up ways that that really surprised, still surprises me, but really bless me, and uh just gave me a little bit more of his heart for us. I do believe it's not in the end results that we are we're always waiting for something to say, oh I'm gonna write this book. But what happens when you finish your book? What happens when you finish starting that company? What happened happens when all the prayers that you've prayed for are being answered? What do you feel at that moment? That's not that's not it. It's often in the process, and God moves us to new things to higher levels, and so I've discovered that take the step and God will open. And then, like you said, I mean we we read these scriptures, you know. You know, it told uh the image for me was when it told Moses just to to speak, uh put put you know, put your staff over the water and will open, although there was no way there was no way out, but he still had to move forward. And with Joshua, you said you must put your feet in the water first, and then the sea opened. So that's what I would say. Number one for me was take that first step, take that leap, and God will align the rest. The second big thing that I've learned over this time is that um God is a very personal God, very detailed. I felt really a sense of just in the detail, you know, in the yeah, just in the details, God is in the details, God is a God of the little things, and when little things come, um, I'm just in I'm just in amazement. I don't want to go into all the details, but I just want to say to you that, you know, whether it's meeting the right person, whether it's things that you've prayed for in very practical ways, and God answers those things. Uh, it's just been such an amazing uh journey to know that God sees us, God sees me, God sees my heart. And over this whole period where the when I traveled so many hours, you know, I just sense the people that is placed next to me on the planes, the flight attendants, every day there was just so many little um spark moments, moments of light where it's just God's smile, God's glimpse, say, you know, I'm with you, I'm there, just keep moving forward. And I really, really uh appreciated that that God God is God can be trusted. God can be trusted. And uh no matter how you feel, no matter how ill-equipped you feel, no matter how you feel, like, oh I I cannot do this, it's not about us and our strength. We need to get out of the way. That's basically the third point, is to get out of your own way and to allow the life of Jesus to flow through your life, to allow him to speak, to allow him to use you, you, you as a vessel. We say these words so easily, but when you step into that space, it's amazing. I had the opportunity to speak to uh interfaces Christian Fellowship, it's a student body. They do great work on one of these great campuses, and I was speaking there at I was one of the keynote speakers at their conference. Uh, just the students, beautiful students who just love the Lord who are brilliant minds. Uh, to be able to speak to them about spiritual realities and deep things of God was for me the greatest privilege and honor to do that, not just because of the opportunity for me, but because of God entrusting me with that responsibility. So I'm the ambassador of Jesus, I'm his servant. I belong to him and I'm here on the earth because he placed me here for higher purposes. And once I can align to those purposes and I can be able to say yes to that, then I can then that's the greatest joy that you can have. And so that's my deep desire now is at the end of that season or that assignment is God, did I honor you? And how how am I pleasing you, how am I representing you, as opposed to, you know, am I building my own empire, am I doing my own thing? So I just had to really exchange my agendas. That's how I felt is what do they need? What is what are you saying to me about the people? And I'm the conduit. You know, I spoke about that, being a good custodian of the articles or the oracles of God, a custodian of the mandate that God has placed in my hands, and that's what I believe I've been working on it, and I've been teaching it. So it's to be close to Him, to know who's in charge, is to know that in the process it brings me great joy, and in the process, I'm being transformed more and more, and uh that's what's just amazingly beautiful. So those are things that were really good for me, and as I was teaching, I just learned that God wants me to build the fourth point for me was the importance of systems and struct systems and structures in my life, not just in my life to organize myself, but in my life to be a good custodian of the mandate and the assignment. That is a different angle, it's a slight shift, but it's an important shift because you can have the great ideas, you can have the anointing, you can have what we call the grace upon your life, you can have the vision, you can know your assignment. But if you don't have a system to make that assignment possible, if you don't put it, you will not succeed, you cannot bear fruit, you cannot move forward into it. And so during these last few weeks, I had to buy different books or planners and just put, you know, with the help of a friend, just put things together again and say, you know, this is what I need to do every day. From this time to that time, these are your top priorities that you know that you have for the 2026. It's not about goals, it's about high-level um in you know, high-level priorities that will move you forward in your assignment. So allocate time, know your boundaries around that. It's no longer the boundaries with people, now it's the boundaries around your time. Now it's being a good steward of the time that you allocate to these things. And so that's my learning process it at another level. And so it's it sounds very like practical, but if you look at creation, everything is in systems. You know, we I just left uh Montreal and we went into spring, and you could see uh just every day when I went for my walk, I would see how the how the trees were sounded and looked so bleak and dead, little by little shifted, and you see the buds, you see the change of colors, you see the growth, and you think, how can this tree still live when it looks so as if there was no it was dead, but there's the ecosystem in place because it's new season, so in different seasons when spring happens, then the then there's new life again, and uh so it's also for my internal life, it's also for my internal my soul and my soul structures need that system and that structure. So that was amazing, and then you know, for me the great thing again and again, and Jesus is really our example, is relationships. Relationships are important, uh, they are destined to help us. I met I was in touch with that really during my time. People were strategically placed for me for my next level, whether whether I needed a a space to teach, because I was doing some work with it, was some of my needs being met. People, people were in there, God used all of them. And uh I really want to say thank you for everyone who so beautifully uh became part of that journey, and I realized that you need to love people, you need to love the people that God has called you to, and those relationships will not change, although you are far away. I was away, remember, I came back to Cape Town, I've been here, I haven't been to Canada in two years because I came back to spend time here with my family and to explore my opportunities back in South Africa, and yet when I came back, yeah, I felt like I was stepping back into a space that was still part of my community, part of the friendships that were there, because uh it the it's the relationships that are are are strong, and so we need to protect, make time, invest, appreciate and love the people in the life. All right, so there's so many things, and I I just that was really important to me. Just yeah, and just the opportunities our God can stretch your assignment with the for me, it's always creating spaces for people to grow spiritually, like I said. So even this podcast is like I said, the emotional space. I want us to grow emotionally, I want us to know this healing because if we don't are not being restored, restored to rise, the restoration, the repositioning of our mindsets, the repositioning of who we are after we've been restored, and then the rising to our new levels. Those are all elements of what I've taught, and I saw how God opened spaces, even though the audience changed, because I normally speak to women in leadership, but I was able to speak to students, and then I was able to speak to the church community, and then I was able to speak to women in leadership, and so though those were the three different spaces that are occupied during that time. But the message, the underlying message is the same, and so that was very very, very interesting and very powerful. Um yeah, then I just number, I don't know what number I'm now, but I just felt a deep sense of God's love for me, deep sense of his celebration, a deep sense of the father loves you, Abba loves me, and that is my strength. And this is a message that I deeply carry in my heart that love is not an emotion, it's a very powerful, explosive power in us that moves us to expressing the very glory of God in our lives. So love is the motivation for me to be obedient to God, and I know I'm here again in my season, my next few weeks, to do some hard work, the work that God has asked me to do. Um, to do some courses and writings, all those things on expression is no longer just my desire. So God just kind of fine-tuned that for me, and so I'm working on that by the grace of our God, by the grace, by God's strength in me. So those are really beautiful things, and then I've just been called by God a higher, higher level of, like I said, structures and systems to do what God has called me to do and not to waste my time, even if I it doesn't mean I'm wasting my time on on things on like waste, waste, but you can be distracted by doing good things, but not the things that God has assigned you to do, and that is a difference for me. So I want to leave you. That's a lot to share, but I just wanted to give you a little bit of uh a high just some highlights. Uh, you know, I just wanted to spotlight a few things, things, or moments uh during my stay in these other learnings. So during my daily alignment, I want to um just encourage us. Why? Because I sense the urgency in my soul and in the times that we're living in, is that we can no longer be about our own business. We need to be about the father's business. We need to know that you're on the earth, not just for you to have a good life, to be successful, to have your business, to have your homes, but you have all of that for purpose. God will prosper you, and I believe in the prosperity of his people so that we can fulfill purpose and kingdom purposes. The kingdom of God must come on the earth. God has placed you wherever you are, and I'm gonna speak to you again, wherever God has placed you right now. Be light, be the highest version, become the highest version of who you are in those places. Um yeah, this is it. Uh, and don't neglect that platform because people have been assigned to you and you're there to represent Jesus, to represent the Father, to represent the Holy Spirit, so they can see that there's hope for me, my family, my relationships, my schooling, my academics. You know, we are called to be the highest version, the most excellent, the most um, yeah, the top people in society. This is, I believe, you know, we need to have the Daniel uh anointings, the the the I say the Esther's again must arise, the Deborah's, you know, the Ruth's and you know, all the other people you can fall into by those are people that I connect with because uh Mary says, you know, how shall these things be? I've been asking God, then always, God, how I'm gonna do what you say. Then he said, The Holy Spirit will come upon you. So, my dear ones, I want to leave you with this, and I just want to bless you. Stay close to God, and I will do that with you. Let's love his presence, let's create spaces for God in prayer, in Bible study, in you know, communion with others. And so, may this be a blessing too. If you want to sign up for any of my things, I'm doing that. If you don't have the link to this podcast, it's on Spotify, on YouTube, and on iTunes. And uh, I'll be doing some some courses soon. If you're in South Africa, people, June 27th, I'm gonna do uh upgrade your leadership because that is actually the beautiful uh leadership session that I had with incredible women in Montreal. And I would love to do this in Cape Town. I'm only taking 15 people if you want to, just let me know right now. May God bless you. May the favor of God rest upon you, and may peace and beauty and healing physically, spiritually, emotionally rest upon you. Have a great day. God bless you.
