Restore To Rise
This is a space to nurture emotional, spiritual and leadership health. We cannot be spiritually healthy without speaking about our emotional health.
You are called to lead at a very high level of impact and to become the highest version of yourself. In the process you have to take care of your soul (mind, heart, will) so that you cannot sabotage your platform. This episode looks at the importance of restoring your identity, your voice and your platform.
Restore To Rise
The Architecture Of Love
Use Left/Right to seek, Home/End to jump to start or end. Hold shift to jump forward or backward.
Love is more than an emotion; it is your internal infrastructure. The spatial description of love as architecture is found in Ephesians 3: 18-19. This love is the source and foundation for your building. Protecting it and staying rooted in it will produce a life that will refract the different colours of love.

Well, hello and welcome back to the Restore to Rise podcast where we talk all things emotional health, spiritual health, and leadership health. This is Yvonne Seller, and I'm always delighted to be with you and to talk to you heart to heart. And today I'm gonna continue my alignment conversations that I started for the second half of this year. How are you? How's your heart? How's your ministry? How's your business? How is life? I hope that uh July is uh treating you well. It's already the 28th of July, and uh I'm really aware of the urgency of the moment, and you know, there's that pressure that we want to make the most of every day, and so today, as you listen, I want you to take time away or quiet your heart, have a cup of tea, a cup of coffee, and just sit down wherever you are, whether you are in your car, gym, uh whether you're at home, just listen to a few words that I want to talk to you about. I'm not gonna do do a long session, I'm actually going to come back and do a few parts of this, which will eventually be a teaching or course. It's called the architecture of love, and uh this is really a topic that has been very much burned or written on my heart. It's like my signature message over the last few years where God has just been downloading a few new revelations about the importance of love, and I believe that revelation is progressive. So as we grow, as we learn, we get new glimpses, and God unveils new new wisdom, new, yeah, new deep thoughts uh by spirit. So I trust that you will be able to listen to it, and especially for you as leaders, I'm speaking more specifically to kingdom leaders and women, specifically women, but everyone is welcome at the table. But I'm speaking to you as a leader, and I want to encourage you to know that love is your superpower. Love is actually not just an emotion, it is a system, it's your internal operating system. So that's what I'm talking about. The architecture, there's an architecture to love, and I believe in the genius of God, He has designed us, He has created us to respond to love, to be motivated by love, and also to be healed and empowered by that. So whether you are in a high place where you feel like you're succeeding and you're doing just amazingly great, love is needed for you to stay humble, to sustain your your success. And that's what I'm gonna talk about a little later. But I just want to say the reason why this is a system, because love powers, fuels your heart so that you can maintain uh that height and not fall from that success and come back to a place where you sabotage your success. Whether you're in the lowest of your season, where you're going through a deep time of testings and trials and wilderness, the love is also deep enough to be able to heal you, to strengthen you, to sustain you, yeah, to equip you and to restore you. And whether you're doing um work like you really want to expand the expansion of love. So I want to do this one verse I'm going to read because I do want to keep my teachings you know structured in in scripture because that's where divine wisdom comes from. So when I talk about love as the architecture and the very source of your life, this love is a divine love, it is created, uh, it is rooted in our source, and out of this love will flow all the other expressions of love. So it's a beautiful verse in Ephesians, and I'm gonna be in my anchor verse. And here, Paul is actually speaking and describing love in a special form, it's it's architecture. He says, I'm gonna read a bit further or before that, Ephesians chapter 3. You can actually study that, read it slowly, over and over, pray with it, war with it, receive it. He says, I actually bow my knees before the Father God. I'm reading from PPT, and it says, I pray that you would within you, I pray that God would unveil within you the unlimited riches of his glory and favor until supernatural strength is flooding your innermost being with his divine might and explosive power. Then, once the power is there, once you have that revelation, by constantly using your faith, the life of Christ will be released deep inside of you, and the resting place of his love will become the very source and root of your life. Say again, the very source, in other words, that's where you get your life from. That's your very foundation is coming from there and the root of your life. And then he continues, he goes further on the verses. It says, How deeply intimate and far-reaching is his love, how enduring, inclusive it is in this love beyond measurement that transcends our understanding. This extravagant love pours into you until you are full to overflowing all the fullness of God. Now, that is PPT. Now, if you look at the other version, it says, Oh, the depth and the width and the length and the height of God. So it's dimensional. It is dimensional. There's more to it, there's not just one facet of God's love. So God is multidimensional. And so this is for me what I really want to just leave that metaphor into your spirit. Uh, you know, that image of a prism, you know, it's a multidimensional glass. If you look at the prism, a glass, and you see light. For those of you science students who remember, when light is going to shine into the prism, it will refract. And when it refracts, it's going to you know refract colorful light. So that's where you see the rainbow. So you will see colors and beauty, and so I believe all these different colors are different expressions of love in our different seasons, and for our different needs that we have to live, to to rise, to to succeed in life. And so I want us to meditate and to think about that. So when you, for example, protect this internal system. So when you set boundaries, for example, around that love or that system, that is love and it's an expression of love. When you make decisions, it is an expression of love. When you become your highest version of yourself, it is an expression of love. When you nurture your children, when you teach your kids, when you do all that, it is an expression of love because that is the multi-dimensional version of love. That's the outward expression. But I want to just come a little bit closer today with the internal expression thereof because it is a system. You know, are you with me, people? I I really I want to just pause here. I want to say to you why what is the motivation for me? Why am I thinking like that? Why is it important for those of you who are kingdom leaders? You've either built a church or a business or family uh organizations, you know, and you know, my heart is a bit more biased to those in ministry because that is my background. I've seen great and gifted and beautiful, anointed, grace upon grace people, you know, just kind of go high and then they go low and they just destroy themselves or they they fall far, or uh yeah, I would just say, let me just use the words, the sabotage, the success, and then also all the people that they that they are actually leading. So I want to propose to us and submit to us that we need to be grounded in this love because this love will hold you there. I believe that God, in his beauty and his father heart and his love for us, he wants us to succeed, he wants us to be fruitful, but that fruitfulness can only happen if it's connected, and we need to stay connected. So, dear leader, today I want to encourage you to stay connected in the depth and the width and the height of the love of God in you. He has created and designed you to only be fulfilled in that. So even if you chase all the other successes, even if you reach your highest level, you and you don't have this, then you will still feel empty. And this is connected. Now we understand 1 Corinthians 13. When it says, even if you speak with eloquence, even if you have the best of everything, but you do not have love, he says, that's what the Bible says. That's a poem, love poem. It says, then you are making a noise. Your sound, this is what I talked about earlier in my other podcast. I talked about you sharpening your your sound. You can have a look at it on the previous podcast. So the sound is important, so we don't want to make a noise. So the noise, this your sound, personal sound is fueled by love. Everything is fueled by love. I'm telling you, people, this is important. So may we we just really come to that point. My motivation to share this is that we would stay is as I'm tired, I am hurt, I feel like I'm really burdened by us and I'm including myself when we do not stay in that height, where we don't move forward, when we sabotage our own success and the people that we're leading. So, so yeah, so what does that look like? It what does that look like? So if you is God is elevating you and is blessing you, and you are you know, you have wealth, you have impact, you have influence, stay on your knees, stay motivated by love. Know that love brought you there, and love will keep you there. So don't become too independent. Keep staying close to the father's heart, stay close to the father's heart. It's more difficult, I would say, when you are successful because you feel like you are we can become self-reliant, but that's a myth and that's a lie, and so be reminded of that. And if you feel like you are still in the wilderness, God is processing you, God is processing you, he's building capacity internally. Your internal system is enlarging so that you can hold what he has for you. And if you're hurting and if you've gone through a season of loss, may the healing love of God heal and restore and resurrect any dead places in your heart to come to life. So, this is the internal system that I believe that we need to protect, that we need to understand, that we need to ask God to give us revelation of this dimensional, the dimensions of love. And so the romantic love, the love between partners and then parents and all the other love, the love that we have will flow out of that. Alright? So it's like your body. If you look at your body, your body has like if you look at you didn't see the system, you didn't see how your heart operates or your respiratory system, you don't see all the neuro neuropaths or the nervous system, you don't see all of that inside of your body, but there are systems, and those systems are functioning well so that you can live a healthy, physically healthy life. And so if this system that I call the architecture of love, it's our eternal system, it's at a soul level, it's a soul structure, that system must be protected so that it can also you can live well, so we can have spiritual vitality, spiritual fire, spiritual relevance so that we can live well in life. Okay, so that's why this system must be protected. We need to know that there is a system, there's a love deep inside of us, and we need to stay rooted. Like it says, may that love become your resting place, because out of that love will flow the beautiful, colorful, it's just a beautiful image of color. Just go find a glass, go find a prism and put it in the sun and see how it reflects. Now that love, I believe, that light is the light of truth of the word of God. That is God's, he is light, and this prism is us, then when we then then move, when it flows through us, he wants us to reflect that love. But we are also body, soul, and spirit dimensional. So when that love goes into us, then out of that love, out of our hearts must flow beauty, must flow assignment, our assignment, our mandate. So whenever you open your mouth, whenever you lead your team, whenever you uh speak life into them, whenever you have a strategic planning meeting, whenever you design or create it out of that place, that that is expression, must be colorful, must be beauty, you must beautify your environment and lives, must be drawn to a deeper, meaningful God. I believe that is it. When you know our minds, neuroscience, if you look at even your biology, we are created children when they are neglected, in like all the studies that you've heard of. When you leave a baby unattended without love, that baby will die. Because his neuropaths, his brain, and his heart without even speaking, those things have been aligned to love and to to respond to love. If you look at animals, broken animals, when they put children next to them and they they they give them love, those animals get healed. So our brains, we have neuropaths, paths in our brains have been designed according to neuroscience. We can we can alter the brain, we can rewrite our brains actually through love and light and love that comes only from truth from from scripture from God, who is actually the source of love. So, people, this is important to me. I I do believe the reason why it's important is we need to have a look at it. It's not a soft skill, and I'm gonna just end there because I'm gonna do another session. We always hear love is like you know, because love has often been uh hijacked by just the romantic, the fuzzy, the emotional love. But love is the most powerful, powerful source that you can have, the most powerful energy. Jesus in in Colossians 1 says that the whole earth has been held together by him and he is love, and so you take that away and you will see even people who don't believe, but when you start to betray them, when you start to hurt them, why are they wounded? Because they've been created for love. You know, any anyone hates injustice because justice is an expression of love. And so, people, if God tells us that the greatest commandment, the whole scripture is summarized in these three things to love God, to love yourself and to love others, then we need to come to a point where we can ask God, God, like he says, Paul says, may God give you a revelation of this. And so as we move forward, I pray that your your leadership is anchored in love, and that as God reflects love, that you will be his prism, that light, so that when his life flows, life and light and love flow through you, you'll be able to move forward. So, just a couple of words just to maintain for now. How do we like you know our heart, the system, like if you look physically in our biology, I need to eat well, I need to take care of my body, I need to know that I'm eating uh correctly so that my heart is well, my nervous system is rested. And so, how do we maintain the system of love, the internal structure? I do believe that you must put, I do believe in boundaries. So you need to put that gate around around what bothers you. Don't let things negativity come in. Don't say yes to everything. Say no, protect your internal, protect your heart, protect your soul, protect that love and and feed it by constantly dwelling in the presence of a God who loves you. And so today for myself, even I I've been going through some challenging time this week, and I said, God, let your love flow through me. Now I need to draw from the depth of your love, the deep dimensions of love. I mean, only your love, it's not always people what they're gonna say, yes, they God is gonna use them, but I want to I want that love to be nurturing me. So maintain the system so that you can refract love correctly. Because if the system internally is broken, we are going to be able to, we are not going to reflect it in a in a good way. And to make those dec declarations, stay in truth, stay in the word, speak life over you, speak life and and stay connected to the right people. So I want to leave that with you for now. That is a shorter version, but I want you to start thinking of love as an operating system that's internal, your internal operating system. So, like your computer, any phone, and your car, they have engines, they have systems inside of you, of them to operate. We cannot function without love. And so this is where the difference, the difference and becomes in that internal love that comes from God the Father, the first thing God, in the beginning, God, when he spoke into this world, he says, Light to be, he spoke over chaos, so therefore we can speak over whatever is chaotic in your love, in your life, and so this love that God has for you. I know we want to love God, and I love God, and I want to grow in my love for God, but there comes a moment as a leader and as an individual, and I speak to you as leaders to sit down and receive the love, receive it in your innermost part of your being, in your mindset, receive so then your brain will change, will be altered, you will think differently, your mindset will shift when you know that you're deeply loved and celebrated by your God who created the universe, by God superior to every other force on the earth, and that love will come and become your resting place and source of life. That is covenant love, not contract, not a contract, it's a covenant. So even me sometimes I say, Okay, God, if I do this, if I pray enough and fast enough, I read, then I know that you're gonna do this, and God says, No, you're gonna do all those things to access what I've already given to you. You're just coming in alignment so that you can be in alignment with me. But I have a covenant with you, I love you no matter what. So when God loves us, even if we don't love him, you know that, eh? People don't love us. People are con there's a contract always, oh, if you do this, then I'll do that. Not all people, but we like to go into contractual love, and God says, No, my covenant will always stay with you, and so it's this covenantal love that is gonna be is pure, is that light and love that can reflect those colorful dimensions, and then as you worship, that's how you're gonna stay in presence as you worship, even in the car, even your work, your work is worship, but there comes a time when you have to make time and spend some moments in worshiping God, and this colorful image is back in in Revelation when Revelation comes for there's a beautiful image where the apostle of love, which is John, is being taken and says, Now there's a higher version for you to go up to, and he said, Come up higher, and he's now being invited into the throne room, and he sees the throne, and on the throne, he says, All that he could see is light, and there the lamb, God is sitting on the throne, and it says, On the throne, all that he could see because God is light, he says, it's just light all over with millions of angels singing and singing worthy is the lamb, but the sound, the light he sees is color, it says color, beautiful colors, because out of the throne, then the throne refracts life. So you see the same image of the prism that refracts the rainbow. It says almost like the rainbow colors are over the throne. That same image is on the throne. So I believe that God is a God whose love, but his love is very pure and fireful. It's not passive, people, it's not. I'm saying again, I'm gonna say it over and over again. Don't be fooled and don't be misled. Don't buy into the lie that love is a soft skill, it's the most powerful, the most creative, the most energizing tool that you need, and it's also a catalyst for your economy, for your leadership, for your soul, for your success. You love your team and you see what they will do for you. Pastors, if you love your church deeply, you will see how they will shift. But do we love them? Do we lead and pass the out of a place of love? Do we do we create out of a place because we want to see the other people excel and become greater than us? That is love is action, beauty. So I pray that as you go into this week, may you may you beautify the places around you with pink, yellow, orange, all the colors. Meditate upon this. There's an architecture to love that we need to still be awakened to that will shift us and it will harp us because people we cannot be living as people who are followers of Jesus and are we still live in disunity in our churches, all the breakups and all the pain. This is a private conversation I'm having with us heart to heart. Let us be the change makers, let us be the catalyst of love that can shift things. Let us be this as you come and sit, may you know deep in your heart that it's only that love that's gonna heal your heart. It's only that love that's gonna tell you who you are, it's only this deep dimension of God's love that's gonna tell you what to do next, that's gonna give you the blueprint to build according to pattern, that is gonna give you the courage and the strength to move on because you say yes to God, even in the midst of betrayal, of pain, disappointment, confusion, the love will come in Jesus' name. Amen. God bless you. I'll be back with another deposit of alignment conversations. Uh watch my space because I'm doing a course on the one that I did in Montreal. I'm gonna do it here in Cape Town live and also online. It's called uh dismantling the enemies of your heart and then creating systems and structures to to rise and to move forward. Blessings and love to you.
