Prayer to The Lord of Recompense (Jehovah El Gemuwal)
Hi and welcome to the Walk with me , masi Gwanyalke . Today I'll be sharing with you something I read in the Bible and it clicked and it was just very interesting for me to understand . It was regarding recompense . What is recompense ? Recompense is to repay , reward or restore , and many a times many of us have lost things our long life . So you've lost time in terms of an education you probably wanted to take , but you never had the resources , so you had to forgo one thing or another . We have compromised things in our lives as we've gone by , and so many a times we've lost opportunities , chances and time .
Speaker 1But I'm here to encourage you today and to tell you that there is the Lord of recompense , the Lord who repays . And as I was reading in Jeremiah 51 and verse 56 , which says and I will read from the MKJV version because the plunderer comes against her , against Babylon , and her mighty men are taken , every one of his bow is broken . For the Lord is the God of recompense , he will surely repay . And there are other versions that say for the Lord is a God of retribution . And in a season and a time where you feel like , how can I even gain time ? How can I buy time . You've lost so many opportunities . How will I be able to get this repaid ?
Speaker 1I'm here to encourage you and to tell you that the Lord , the God of recompense , is the one who repays you , he is the one who is able to restore you , he is the one who is able to return everything back to full . And I also got to understand , and according to the Hebrew word , that God means L and recompense means gemual . So there is L gemual . So when you pray , you call upon L gemual , the Lord of recompense , who will repay you and repay everything that you desire to be returned back to you . And God is a God who restores , and when he restores he doesn't go back in time and begin to wonder how to restore . It is in his nature and the fullness of time to restore your life back to normal .
Speaker 1So , are you seeking a restoration in one area or another ? Indeed cry unto Thay to compensate you or retribute you back that which was stolen by the enemy and restore you back . So let's pray and let's call upon L gemual that he who hears , he who answers and at his own time , he will be able to restore everything back to full . Let's pray , our Lord and our God , we come before you this day . Indeed , you are the God of recompense , the God who restores and repays .
Speaker 1Father , we thank you for this word , oh God , and indeed we are calling upon your name , the name that is above every other name , the name of Jesus , to call upon you , to ask that you will restore every area of our life that has been stolen by the enemy , that has been eaten up by the conker worms , that has been destroyed . And many times we wonder when will we ever be able to repay , when will we be able to reach at par , when will we be able to reach a certain level in life ? And so , father , we call upon you , oh God , god of recompense , begin to restore , begin to return that which the enemy has stolen from us . For we pray all this , believing and trusting in Jesus name . Amen .
