You have come to Mount Zion

The Walk by Mercy Munyange

Hebrews 12:22-24- But you have come to Mount Zion, to the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem. You have come to thousands upon thousands of angels in joyful assembly, to the church of the firstborn, whose names are written in heaven. You have come to God, the Judge of all, to the spirits of the righteous made perfect, to Jesus the mediator of a new covenant, and to the sprinkled blood that speaks a better word than the blood of Abel.

Hebrews, chapter 12 and verse 22 to 24. I read from the NIV version but you have come to Mount Zion, to the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem. You have come to thousands upon thousands of angels in joyful assembly, to the church of the firstborn, whose names are written in heaven. You have come to God, the judge of all, to the spirits of the righteous made perfect, to Jesus, the mediator of a new covenant, and to the sprinkled blood that speaks a better word than the blood of evil. Many a times, after a long work day, I just feel like I'm low or I don't know what to do, and so I turn to God. And indeed, it's in moments like this that I sing a new song. It is in moments like this that I say a new prayer, no-transcript, whether good or bad or exhausting, and so I take time to just thank God and to pray. And so right now, I'm here to encourage you to just take humblement, to breathe and to just thank God for the day that you've had. It's in moments like this that we say a new prayer, that we sing a new song, that we're able to rejoice because he is God and he alone is worthy to be praised. So, Father, we come before you, o God, in agreement that it is indeed in moments like this that we say a new prayer, we say a new song, we sing a new sermon to you, o God. And so, father, even as we come to Mount Zion, to the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, engulfed and encompasseded all around us with angels, thousands upon thousands, that are seated on your throne, o God, we just want to say thank you, thank you for the day, Thank you for all that you have done for us, that you have been with us, our going out and our coming in, despite it all, jehovah, we just want to thank you. I personally want to thank you Even in the midst of uncertainties, o God, I just want to say thank you In the midst of all that you've enabled me to do. Indeed, I say thank you because it is not by power, by might, but it is by your spirit, and so I choose to say thank you this day.

Speaker 1:

So, god Almighty, receive all the glory, the honor and the praise. Indeed, god, where I have done wrong and I have sinned and fallen short of thy glory, through Jesus, the mediator of the new covenant, by his blood, I am forgiven by his blood. It speaks a better word on my behalf. And so, god, I thank you, because I know that there are many things I may have done by the flesh, many people I may have hurt along this day, and even those that have hurt me.

Speaker 1:

Oh God, I just come to you and I ask that you will release them from my spirit and allow me to receive the rejuvenation that only comes from heaven, the infilling that only comes from above, and the word of God that speaks a better thing on my behalf. And so, father, I bless you and I glorify you because you are good and you are God, and it is to you alone I worship and praise this day and all the days of my life, and I receive encouragement, through the power of the Holy Spirit and by your word this day, that indeed everything is going to be okay and indeed everything will continue to be okay, because you are my Lord and you are my God. Thank you, father, and thank you, god, for I pray all this, believing and trusting in Jesus' name, amen.
