Alright, welcome in, ladies and gentlemen, to another episode of the Charmed City Sports Podcast. I'm your host, Jay Holohan, no not. Obviously, the most pleasant of episodes to be doing, obviously, you lose two out of three to the Boston Red Sox, but you're still three games back in the wildcard spot, three games back of the Boston Red Sox in the wild card. You didn't get swept in doing so, you end the Red Sox just amazing 15-game winning streak. I mean You know, what you say about the Boston Red Sox, truly, is that talk about now it could just be, and it would be a pretty big blip on uh their schedule, but talk about hitting the right nerve at the right time, striking the right chord at the right time if you're the Red Sox, because right before the trade deadline, you know, before the All-Star break, you get on that run, that run becomes alright, sweeping one series, then sweeping another, and another, and another, and all of a sudden coming into this past three-game series against the O's, you've won 13 in a row, you're above 500, you sit holding that file final wild card spot, and a far cry from where you were at the end of April, where in another series against the O's, obviously this one uh featuring the Orioles certainly looking like the better team where they would take two of three against the Boston Red Sox. Now that sounds quite funny given where the two teams are, but the Boston Red Sox obviously firing Alex Cora took about two months, but then they start really playing some better baseball. They've been getting amazing starting pitching. Their offense has finally started to come around, and it's a reason why, you know, the ball is right now in their court. They uh obviously being the hottest team in the American League in the month of July, being the hottest team in Major League Baseball, they have the opportunity now at the trade deadline to not be sellers. They can now take on the role of being a buyer. Now we'll see obviously where they go with that, but in a weak American League, you could certainly see them saying, hey, you know what? Uh why not? Why don't we take a run at this thing? Um what what the heck? You know, maybe uh maybe we'll be the ones this year out of the American League East that will win the pen. Now I don't think that's gonna happen, obviously. I think if they did get in, um they probably would be a fairly quick out, whether you know, depending upon who they would get in uh the American League uh of course, you know, it would be the wild card series, and if you're the sixth seed, then you go up against uh the lowest seed of the division winner, which could be an American League Central team, and that could be that now it is a three-game series, and said central team would have uh home field advantage, but you know, that could be interesting for Boston. But anyways, we're on July twenty third here this afternoon. Let's keep our feet firmly grounded as let's talk about Orioles losing two out of three, but I'll tell you what, Monday night really killed me. And it wasn't like I was uh irate at the O's, it's not anything like that. It's just you sit there and you go, Oh my goodness. You know, how, how, how, how, how, why, why, why, why, why. Just baseball being baseball. And really, the Orioles played a good game. They lost, but they they played a solid game. They just did not come on the winning end of it. And I, you know, hate saying it, but it was a good game played by the O's. And it was a great from you look at it just from a baseball standpoint, just being a fan of the game. Great game. You know, two teams, division league rivals, uh trying to one team obviously, trying to extend a unbelievable winning streak, the other trying to inch closer and closer back to 500, inch closer and closer to the Red Sox in that wild card spot. Now, it starts off with Tyler O'Neal hitting a RBI ground rule double that scores Gunnar Henderson and Tyler O'Neill, who has been really hot for the Orioles of late. But the O's get on the board first in the top of the first, bottom second, and runners at the corners, one out. Shane Baz unfortunately gives Jaron Duran a pitch he could drive to center field. You trade a run for an out, tied at one, alright, you're still tied at one at the end of the bottom of the second, but then with runner on first, two outs, and Shane Baz delivers a fastball right at the top of the zone. So a couple of things here about this bottom of the third, if I may. And really this game as a whole, now I know I just sat there and waxed poetic about how, man, this was, you know, naughty game that I was overly upset with the Orioles. Um but with two outs, Jeremiah Jackson on a ball that should have been an out. Tough play, sure, but I think an average second baseman makes the play, allowing Rafaela to reach, and then Wyler Brayu hitting a double down or out into left center field. Tavares plays it off the wall. Now, I think Rafaela's scoring anyways, but then Gunnar Henderson just air mails the throw, which then allows uh Contreras to get to third. Or I'm sorry, uh uh Abreu to get to third. Um I don't know why, as I was looking back on the replay, that said Contreras was the hitter for the Red Sox. But then Contreras comes up and hits an RBI single past uh Jeremiah Jackson, and that drives in another run, and next thing you know, it's three to one. Jeremiah Jackson makes that play to get the final out, and likely you're all s you're still tied up. Well, not likely you are still tied up uh obviously at one uh because that would have been the final out, of course, in the inning. Now after the game, I there were two more errors made in the play made in the game by uh the Orioles. And I mean I agree with ultimately what was said by Craig Alvarnez, but I'll tell you what, it's interesting to hear, and you'll he hear from him in a moment here, uh, because there was a throwing error by Shane Baz, you know, to lead off the bottom of the six that allowed Weiler Abreu to get to second, put him in court scoring position, and Contreras tied it up with the double. Then there was the throwing error by Taylor Ward uh on Rafaela's RBI single to Ward, which uh the throwing error resulted in uh Rafaela being able to get to second base. But Craig Albert has singled out Jeremiah Jackson after the game. Here you go. Obviously stand out.

Um is it difficult to overcome that for a team when when there are maybe that maybe three errors, I mean one error on the gonna throw two as well, which is semantics, but no, I think the the one that hurt the most was the JJ one, you know, because it kept the game going. Uh I mean they scored a runoff that I mean Shane thought he was twelve years old again, back to his shortstop days and threw it side on, but yeah, like those are the things that you know we've been doing a great job of. But that's the the JJ one really hurt because they don't score the run on.

You know, it's interesting because Jeremiah Jackson, I feel like this is not the first time that Albernaz has singled him out. And he's kind of thrown shade at a couple of Orioles players throughout the year. You know, Samuel Basayo, there was that interesting tidbit on him needing to play through injury more and kind of fight through pain. It kind of sounded like he was, you know, calling Samuel Basayo soft in a way. I feel like there's been another time, I can't remember exactly where he singled out JJ, but right there, I took note of that and said, you know, because a couple weeks ago I was saying why is it that they sent this guy down uh when they made the corresponding move? I forget who they called up at the time. Um I may have been um Dean Kramer, I bel I believe. Don't quote me on it, but I think it was Dean. And I thought to myself, man, Jeremiah Jackson, you know, I go back and look at his numbers, I'm like, he hit 281 in June. Why did you decide to send him down? And I kind of wonder, is there something going on more behind the scenes there? Is there more than meets the eye with that? Or is it just nothing? And you know what, Craig Albernaz is not afraid to, especially in a situation where it's like, hey, we needed an out there, you gotta come up with that play. And Jackson couldn't come up with that play. Now we know Jeremiah Jackson's not the greatest fielder, uh, but obviously there has been a relentlessness to start Jackson Holiday in games where you're facing a left-handed pitcher in which you were facing Monday evening with Peyton Tole on the mound. And obviously, you know, later on in the game, you'd see Jackson Holiday pinch hit for Christian and Carnacio and Strand. Now, Strand, two for three in the game, and how about showing a little love, as we will, of course, to CES, whom comes up last week, hits a solo homer for his first of the season over the left field wall, uh, made it a one-run game in the top of the fifth, and it got the guys going again. Jeremiah Jackson making up for the air, RBI single to tied up at three, then CES back up at the plate, two down, runners at the corners, Peyton Toley looking to uh obviously get out of it with just giving up the lead there in the game's tied, not looking to give up anything else, and CSC RBI single to center, and the O's take the 4-3 lead. Now again, as I mentioned earlier, the Contreras double. You had the Tyler O'Neal, though, RBI ground out again. Tyler O'Neill. Now, it wasn't a hit, but with runners at the corners, you put the ball, you know, in play, and Taylor Ward coming home, he scores. It's 5-4-0s. Then we go to the bottom of the seventh, and with Yinir Kano on the mound, one-two pitch to Rafaela with Chang at second, and Yinir Kano, who just has been your most reliable reliever this year, gives up the lead there and the knock. And, you know. I gotta tell you, when it comes to the Boston Red Sox, there are some things that you just can't necessarily explain. That being, um, obviously one of them that's uh, you know, no doubt a huge bummer, and Ward ailmailing that throw and getting uh, you know, Rafael at a second, of course. But then in the bottom of the eighth, Caleb Durbin breaks your heart. I know it's July twentieth, but that was a tough home run to watch. Tyler Wells in the game, who's been having a fine season, but as we always talk about with Wells, he seems to have a home run problem where he leaves pitches just over the heart of the plate. He does that to Durbin, and Durbin hits his tenth home of the year a moonshot. Um, I'm sure he put everything and then some into that one. Red Sox dugouts going crazy, and you know, for the Orioles, they're just saying, man, we were that close, but we still have an opportunity. We gave up the lead, but we still have an opportunity. And, you know, give the Orioles credit. They get some action on. It started with the Colton Cowser walk against Aurelius Chapman. Now, it was uh eight pitch at bat. Give Colton Cowser a lot of credit. Now, some of the pitches he laid off weren't exactly close, you know what you would say, but you know what? He didn't allow himself to get himself out, let's put it that way. Then unfortunately, Taylor Ward strikes out, Jackson Holiday strikes out, and it's you know, you're setting to yourself going, well, tonight's just not their night, but with Gunnar Henderson at the plate, and I'll tell you what, first pitch of the at-bat, Chapman throws him a slider, and Gunner fouls it off. Now it's a slider low-in away. And you're thinking to your head, oh, that really wasn't a good pitch to swing at. But I said to myself, you know, about two seconds after, going, geez, that's when he took a rip out of first pitch slider. I thought, you know, at least it looked like he was thinking the other way. Chapman sends him another slider in the dirt, then a fastball low-in away that Gunner gets to and drives it to left field uh for his 19th double of the year. It puts runners at second and third, and Tyler O'Neill at the plate, two RBIs already on the night, the former Boston Red Sock, and on an 0-2 pitch, he unfortunately lines it into Chang's glove. Not what you would consider scorched, 93.8 off the bat, but originally you think, man, he squared it up pretty well. Enough that it's like, okay, dunk into left, here comes Cowser, play it to plate for Gunner, those thoughts go into your mind, and then you see Chang make the catch, and you're like, damn it. You know, that was one that was right there. Or at least it felt like it was right there. Uh so again, I didn't I'm not gonna throw a fit over it. Unfortunate situation, unfortunate loss, and some things in sports, you know, you just can't explain. Fourteen-game win streak for the Boston Red Sox, you just can't explain it. Uh I I mean, honestly, you know, when you look at their offensive firepower, uh, when you look at the way their season had been going, who would have thought that right now they would have had the longest win streak in the majors so far this year with the 15 games? They achieved that on Tuesday in a doubleheader. Um but real quick, you know, it's something that you can't exactly sit there with a bunch of spreadsheets and calculate. Like the type of stuff that went on Monday night to an extent, it's like, man, you know, sometimes things just don't break your way, and things break the way of the opposition. And I think that's what happened there, and I think that's, you know, kind of what's been happening for Boston. You know, the things just have finally turned their way of late. You know, that's all you can really say about it. Now, Wednesday afternoon, you thought, well, after a rough loss two nights ago with the day off, let's see the Orioles come out here. You're not facing Ranger scores, they pushed them back. You got Dean Kramer on the mound. You're expecting a professional start. Jake Bennett on the other side. Hasn't had a bad season. We went over his numbers, has had a pretty darn good year. But what you didn't want was to be in a hole early, and that's what the Orioles were. They were in a hole early. Caleb Durbin, two runs single in the bottom of the first, Jaron Duran, two run triple, his third triple of the season, and it's 4-0. All of a sudden, you're in the hole early, and you know, they're getting ready to play dirty water. But O's able to scratch a little bit in this game. Tyler O'Neill, RBI double. Alright, good to see that again. Top of third, but then bottom of third. Socks get runners at second and third. Sack fly by Duran, 5-1. CES, Homers, second time in as many games. It's 5-2. Top of the fourth, right? Bottom fourth, Rafaela, solo home run, 6-2. Again, Christian Aaron Carnacio stand at the top of the sixth. RBI single with Mayo at third. Mayo scores. And that was that. That was the rest of the game. The Orioles were unfortunately unable to, you know, really get any. Now they they had a little I wouldn't say mini rally by any stretch. But kind of thought, with Jackson Holiday leading off with a single against Chapman, like here we go, you know, but then Chadwick Tromp, which Samuel Basal, in case you missed it, placed on the 10-day IL with the shoulder injury. We'll get to Craig's comment, Craig Albernas' comments afterwards on that. But Trump grounds out into a double play, two out. Taylor Ward works a walk, and then unfortunately Peak grounds out to end the game. And the Red Sox tie their team record and wins and win streak at 15. It would come to an end, though, following that. But first, let's hear from Craig Albernez on the Samuel Bisayo injury, and more on that uh from me in a moment.

Before, you know, when we talked to you before the game, you sounded hopeful that Besaio was trending in the right direction. What happened to send it the other way?

Yeah, the decade session didn't really go as planned. It wasn't like he was hurting, hurting, but for him, you know, and kind of pulled on it. The next thing you know, it's gonna be a little longer than anticipated, so it's not to get to retroactive so it kind of gets in the kind of reset and just focus on getting trouble healthy as opposed to uh getting healthy and also trying to every day to get ready to play with possibility. Yeah, I mean with much of a style pretty confident saying it's that's catching tandem in the big leagues, and you know, it's it's tough to replace, but with Huffy and Trumpy, they do a great job of of defense behind the plate, navigating our pitches, um, calling a great game, so it's gonna be it's it's a lot of slack to pick up, but Trumpy and Huffy, you know, they they have the pedigree to do it.

So after the game, I put out there it just feels like it's always the Orioles. And I I d again, I'm on here talking about it once again for the billionth time. Why is it? These aren't exactly bang bang plays. Why is it that this team can stay healthy? Why is it that they're not durable? Wha w what's the deal here? And a lot of people were saying, well, every team goes through injuries. Yeah, well, if you've been paying attention, you've you notice that the last three years, right, the Orioles have lost a lot of players due to time on the I. L. I mean, am I watching and following the same team that certain other people are? I it just doesn't seem to make sense. I mean I get it, sort of, if it's a freak freak thing, but these aren't exactly contact plays on the field. These are weird, you know, though they injured themselves on a swing. Oh, well, so and so had an infection in his foot. Oh, this guy fainted. Like w okay. It's like in uh major league. I sounded like that guy in Major League there, where uh they're sitting around the table and the owner's giving them the lists of the players that they'll be inviting to camp, and the one guy's like, I don't know half of these guys. And the guys I do know, they're well past their prime. And they're all going through saying you're saying the one guy goes, This guy's dead. Anyways, that's how you know it's just it's frustrating. It's very frustrating to see. I don't know, I guess certain people aren't. I mean whatever, and then some people are going, Well, the Red Sox have had all these injuries too. Yeah, but you can't the Red Sox have had some immaculate starting pitching this year. That's what's been huge, and their offense has come around. Now, have they had to obviously uh sustain a lot of injuries? No doubt. But their depth had been tested, and hey, give them credit. Now, last evening, game two of the doubleheader, finishing off the uh trip to Fenway, Kyle Braddish went out there and was a stopper. Picked up his seventh win of the year, ERA's lowered to 349, one run allowed in six innings, gave up four hits, locked one. Not a big strikeout night for Kyle. Struck out four, but you know what? Pitched. Right? Pitched. End early. O's got traffic on against Eduardo Rivera, Dylan Beavers, two runs single, uh, with two outs, make it a three-nothing game. Jonathan Rodriguez just called up. Base is clearing double to bring home Beavers, 4-0, and Bradish cruised from there. Oriol scored one more off-the-wild pitch. Gunner Henderson came around to score Gunner. Uh one for three night for him with the uh with a walk as well. So a good night overall. Um, I mean, splitting a doubleheader, it's tough to sweep doubleheaders, and uh obviously, you know, you don't want to get swept in those things, and the Orioles avoid that. So uh they now sit currently three games back in the wild card and at the current moment 50 and 53 and now coming back home to take on the Atlanta Braves. But in the month of July, right now they're 11 and 5. Uh if they win this month, it's the first month they would have won. First time they would have finished 500 or above since April. Where on the final day of April they sat fifteen and sixteen, and it kind of was like, well, you know, hey, not bad. And then obviously we know where things went from there. 39 uh in 48 coming into this month of July, and hopefully they'll be leaving this month of July closer to 500 than obviously where they were at the end of June. Now, Craig Albernaz last night on at least taking one game here in the series. So Craig Albernaz and Dylan Beavers.

Absolutely, especially, you know, a split doubleheader. You know, it's always uh I would say it's tough, but you know, you play one game and then there's a lull and get back out there, and you know, proud of our guys coming out, be ready to go from pitch one and you know get four runs in the first. You know, that was uh it was really good, and our offense did a great job of trying out to ask getting good pitch to hit and kind of just keep on keep the line moving. KB stepped up big time, and we all know who KB is and what he's capable of, and it was just great to see him go out there and kind of be that stopper for us, and he did a great job of the strike zone. Fastball shapes were great, breakable were were outstanding, and you know, he did a great job getting us two sticks, and he had to navigate some some tough fittings as well when he beared down. It was a great output. Yeah, I mean we're trying to win every game we play, and you know, it's still July 22nd now, so there's still a lot of season left, but being able to you know to get a win against a really hot team and division opponent that you know we're in a race with, yeah, it was definitely a huge win for us and have a winning road trip too. You know, it's uh it also was a family trip. I think that's the first winning family trip in baseball history, maybe. The approach was outstanding, and something we talked about, you know, the previous games being able to drive the ball the opposite way against a lefty, and you know, we smashed that ball in the gap for a triple. It was very telling of work on his dad. So it was a really great series for him. And you know, like we always talked about, he's always been close to getting the results, and it's good to see him get the results.

These Red Sox, you know, they've been on a they've been on a tear, and you know, a team with that kind of momentum, it doesn't matter who they are, it's it's gonna be a tough game, uh tough series, hard to win games, especially, you know, on the road. Um so, you know, we would have rather won them all, but um, it's I think it's good that we came away with one, and you know, we'll we'll keep rolling.

You know, it's obviously good to or would have been great to have won that series and had a five and one road trip. Uh, and no doubt you'd be 51 and 52, and you know, you're sitting right there, you're that close to being uh 500 team again, uh you would be two games back, well, I guess really one game back, because the Red Sox would be 51 and 50. So for the Baltimore Orioles to have obviously taken that series would have been big. You took a game from a red hot team. It's tough for me to really sit here and get overly upset about it, but there are a couple great things to see. Number one was the depth coming through, Christian and Carnacio and Strand, Tyler O'Neill staying hot, uh, Taylor Ward, you know, continuing to get on base for you, and Gunnar Henderson starting to hit a little bit, and here he was afterwards with the media.

It's just uh being a little bit easier up there, not trying to um really um I guess overdo it in a sense. Uh just going up there and just honestly let myself my instincts and my bad path take over, and I feel like I haven't really allowed myself to do that, so uh just allow myself to be free up there. You're working on it, and maybe you feel like you have gotten to a point that you're uh started trying left, to be honest with just got literally in the cage off the machine and swung about as easy as I could off a pretty firm VLO, and that's about all it is.

As I alluded to earlier, he's always at his best when he's thinking the other way. When he's thinking left field, that's when it's kind of like, okay, he's gonna start coming around. Now you're gonna start seeing Gunner swing, hopefully soon, a hot bat, and he's gonna really get going here as we near the trade deadline. But two huge offensive players now out of your lineup. You got Samuel Basal, uh retroactive to July to July twenty-ninth, the last time he played, and Adley Rutchman, who's already hurt. And it's like, well, it's tough to lose one of those guys. Losing both of them makes it really tough. And Chadwick Chomp uh Trump and Sam Huff as your tandem behind the plate is not ideal. It's just not. Especially for a team that has invested heavily in a pair of catchers, and now you were obviously without two of them. Both of them. Now the other day, before we get into the preview of the Atlanta Braves series, it was brought to everyone's attention that the Orioles were fielding calls on Adley Rudgman. Unless really start unless Buzz really starts to pick up about that, I kind of tend to take those with a grain of salt because you never know who or what that context is. You know, is that Mike Elias actually going out there and saying, hey, guess what? Who wants them? Is that Adley Rutschman's agent trying to, you know, put something out there and and see, you know, what team is gonna call in and be like, hey, we'll give you boom, boom, boom, and boom, big prospects for uh Elias to sit there and go, yeah, well, that's too good of a deal to pass up on. Or is it just, hey, I want my client to get a big deal, let me try and get the Orioles to uh play their hand here and get my client the best deal as possible, and if not, then we're gonna look for other options and ask for a trade in the offseason. I mean, I don't think that's the case. I'm just throwing out ideas. Don't take what I'm saying, literally, just totally spitballing here as to what the situation could be, because it it was kind of out of left field, I'll be honest with you. It was kind of out of left field. So, unless things really start to pick up, then we can sit here and go, well, you know, what could they get for him? Which I expect the Orioles to be buyers. How all in they are, I don't know. But I think they're gonna be buyers. I mean, with what is staring Michaelias down right now, I expect him to go all in on trying to get this team to the postseason. Um, because I think you know, it probably would be what it takes at this point for him to at least in my book to remain on as the headman of this uh Orioles team, overseeing this uh this franchise for the future. Now for the immediate future, the Orioles will welcome in the Atlanta Braves. Now the O's at home, they're 28 and 25 this year. Um now heading into that Cub Series, uh, they were a little bit, you know, worse off, where I believe you were 24 and 23, if my math is uh correct on that. Yeah, 24 and 23. So 28 and 25 after that four-game win streak to end, which uh featured that thriller against uh the Cubbies. Now the Braves on the road this year. Atlanta's been in terms of their team, they've really hot, teetered, and now they're starting to get hot again. They're 28-22 on the road. Now the starting pitching for what's expected is intriguing. Game one, you're gonna see Trevor Rogers for the O's. Six and seven with a four-two-eight ERA has pitched phenomenally over the last month, a little over a month. One and fourth of three seven, three ERA and six starts versus the Braves since 22. Remember, he used to be a member of the Marlins. 3-5 with a 4-6-6 ERA and 11 starts at home. Uh now that's obviously not the best uh you know, numbers, but you I think have to have faith with putting him on the bump. Grant Holmes, six and fourth of 3-7-0 ERA this year, gave up two runs on four hits and six innings last year against the O's, struck out five and walked three. He's one-and-one with a three-two-five ERA this year in eight starts on the road and one appearance that he did go four innings in. Now, game two, it'll be the unlikeliest of kind of heroes this year for the Orioles. Brandon Young. Eight and two with a three-two-five ERA. He's never faced the Braves in his career. Two-on-one with a three-oh, four ERA and eight starts this year at home, and Bryce Alder on the mound for Atlanta, who's six and six with a four-oh, six ERA. Hasn't faced you know, this iteration of the Orioles. Uh this Orioles team that's taken shape really last year and into this year. 2-4 with a 5-3-1 ERA and eight starts this year on the road. And then game three, Shane Baz, 4-9 with a 4-1-3 ERA. He's never faced the Braves. He's 3-3 with a 4-1-1 ERA and 9 starts at home. Now, since around mid-June, Shane Bass hasn't been as strong. He's been good enough. I mean, certainly good enough for the Orioles to win games when he starts, but hasn't been or hasn't felt like he's been as incredible. You know, where he's just basically winning you whatever game uh that you're in at that point. Now it'd be Renault Reynaldo Lopez on the mountain for Atlanta, 4-3 with a 3-9-6 ERA. Now he's 1-4 with a 4-2-1 ERA this year and five starts and then five appearances uh as either a long man out of the bullpen in certain spots. So I think when you look at all this, the starting pitching tips in the Orioles' favor. Now what the Orioles do with that, well, that remains to be seen. Because when you look at what's ahead of you, and let's first start off with the team, the teams that are ahead of you. You got the twins, who are a half a game better than the Orioles. Now, uh Minnesota wrapped up their series today with Cleveland. They split against the Guardians. They're gonna welcome in the A's into Minneapolis. So uh obviously you look out for for that. You know, that's a series that Minnesota should win. The Mariners, who are 51 and 52, they just lost two of three to the Reds, and they welcome in their AL West rivals, the Texas Rangers and the Texans Rang the Texas Rangers, they currently hold the top spot in the AL West half a game ahead of the Mariners. And then the Boston Red Sox. And after they, of course, see their streak come to an end. They now welcome in the Toronto Blue Jays, a team that's behind the Orioles, and a team that the Orioles, I'm sure, are saying, hey, can you help us out here and take two or three from the Red Sox? Now, Mariners, possibly a winnable series there. It's again against the Rangers, uh, but it's in Texas, so you know, could go the way of of uh of the Rangers. And then you have the twins, who I think will take two of three from Cleveland. Or uh, I'm sorry, from the A's. They split against Cleveland for the Orioles. You take two of three, you possibly leapfrog the Mariners. If everything breaks your way, you're pfft. Minnesota, and then Boston's obviously Boston. Three games ahead of you would need to sweep in order to just tie them. And them obviously to get swept. So as the season continues as we move forward throughout the summer, each game, every series it gets more and more magnified, and it's when these uh wildcard races, division races, start to heat up, and obviously it's when everyone really starts to hone in on uh on baseball. Uh every single game, every single series, everyone starts to get locked in every bit more. The Orioles, obviously, they have to do their part in order to. They have to be able to win games, win series, because you can't rely on everyone else to just help you. You gotta go out there and do it yourselves. And you're at home. So let's see what they do.
