Bleach: Thousand Year Blood War Episode: 5 "Wrath as Lightning"

giovani:

Welcome to Las Noches. We are a podcast talking about bleach thousand year blood war. And I'm your host, Giovanni.

Dani:

And I'm your host, Danielle. Hi.

giovani:

Hi. Dani.

Dani:

I'm good.

giovani:

How you doing?

Dani:

We're back. We made it to episode five.

giovani:

Yeah, Yeah, a good

Dani:

was a really good

giovani:

a really good episode. I've been doing some thinking. You know, I always like to uh, talk about. The um, the name, the name of the um, the episode and the name of the episode is Wrath as Lightning,

Dani:

yes. Wrath as lightning,

giovani:

Right, Wrath as Lightning and last episode, I was thinking, what does that mean? And now we kinda see what it means, right? Because I feel like it's directly involved with Sasakibe and his bankai that we saw.

Dani:

Okay, so You're just jumping You're just jumping right in then. Huh?

giovani:

yeah. Yeah. But I guess I was saying this is how I associate the title of the episode

Dani:

Yeah, that makes sense.

giovani:

I guess we can get into the episode, but yeah, it makes sense. Wrath as a lightning. So why don't we jump into the episode.

Dani:

yeah, we got a lot of, past history from Yamamoto and his relationship with Sasakibe and how that how that was developed and how they wrapped that into the current storyline.

giovani:

And it was a nice, it was nice addition to the episode. I don't think it was the main driver of the episode, but it was, good to see.

Dani:

it was, and you know, you, you like that kind of I guess it's kind of like a, a, yeah. The backstory is filling in a lot of the blanks. If you had questions, I'm sure it answered a lot of questions for some people, so it was good To To get get that little nugget of backstory that they gave us.

giovani:

And it was enjoyable. It was enjoyable. It was interesting to see how Yamamoto actually looked young. Like, and he looked old. He looked old, young, but he was

Dani:

Yeah. I mean, well, I mean, what is he like? A couple thousand years old.

giovani:

a couple

Dani:

like over 50. So I mean, even him being young, is he really young?

giovani:

he was,

Dani:

you know?

giovani:

not, you know, young girl. A young girl he had, I don't, not even sure he had hair

Dani:

Right. That's what I'm saying. Like

giovani:

I think so. I think it was black hair.

Dani:

his, youth in that flashback was like, what? Take off 20,000 years. He's still at still like 30,000.

giovani:

exactly. He looked like maybe a 60 year old man compared to 110 year old man. Like, but I mean, I noticed in anime, the older you are doesn't mean you are feeble. You know what I mean? It still mean you kick butt in the end at a higher level. In a lot of

Dani:

you know, Yamamoto is basically, his face always says, mess around and find out That's, what he gives me all the time. So, yeah, you know, old, old means, well, I guess you, I guess you could call it old. Old means seasoned, doesn't mean like, it's not weak, it's not feeble, it's seasoned and, no games are being played essentially. So

giovani:

Absolutely. And that's how, that's how Yamamoto has always carried itself.

Dani:

so.

giovani:

So on that note, do you, are you ready to jump

Dani:

ahead and get to the episode Wrath as the lightning. I guess if we remember, do we remember the end of what was taking place at four, the end of four?

giovani:

Not necessarily. I remember that there was a there was a fight. I know that Renji, Renji and Byakuya was fighting As Nodt, and I think

Dani:

Okay,

giovani:

where we are.

Dani:

so when they open, there's like daggers flying everywhere and then we get an announcement. From research and development the department that letting all the soul reapers know that ichigo is on his way to the soul society essentially, and that, you know, good news for everybody, Ichigo's bankai can't be stolen,

giovani:

Cannot be stolen. This gives a type of uh, motivation, encouragement to all the soul Reapers. They seem like, well, maybe all isn't lost. Mayuri, though, is a little upset. He felt like someone should have contacted him

Dani:

Right.

giovani:

first. He should have given permission, which I thought was funny because, you know, he's, he's getting a little outta hand. Like, I, I love Mayuri, but he's talking back to the head captain and it's like someone should consult me. He's

Dani:

He is

giovani:

he's a little too big for his britches, right?

Dani:

Yeah, but the good news is just, you know, he, so far that we know of Ichigo is the only one with his bankai still intact and You know, no one snatched it from him yet,

giovani:

Right. And during all this assignment, Akon all of a sudden said, wait, wait a second. Ichigo's Spiritual pressure is missing,

Dani:

right?

giovani:

right? Like he's on his way and.

Dani:

Yeah. He went missing from the from the

giovani:

is gone.

Dani:

Yeah.

giovani:

Garganta. Yeah. And the Garganta is the that's the pathway from Las, no, not Las no it's not our podcast, but Waco Mundo To Soul Society. So right as he's about to send us special, special forces to investigate. What's going on in the Garganta Jidanbo breaks into research and development

Dani:

Right.

giovani:

and he's destroying it. Basically, he rips off the roof and in the background and the shadows. You see a Quincy, this unknown. Quincy just controlling Jidanbo, I believe. What we know, and we don't know who this unnamed Quincy is, he does have some type of. Mind control or ability to make someone do something they ordinarily wouldn't do. I guess we'll found out about him later on. Hopefully.

Dani:

I feel like Jidanbo really killed quite a few of his fellow soul Reapers in that attack. And he's the gatekeeper of the White Road Gate, so I'm sure he started from there. and we have Ichigo on the phone with Hearing all that, that's taking place with the attack and you know, he just realizes that essentially he needs to really hurry up and figure out, you know, why he's being locked down or what's happening and, and break out.

giovani:

right. And that's next up He's been jailed by, he's been jailed by Quilge Opie the guy who we thought was defeated, that's not, so he's back and he let everyone know I am the jail. I was given Jay as the jail and he pretty much put him in a reishi jail, it looks like. And Ichigo, he seems to be very frustrated. He cannot get through. He's hearing the destruction of the social society in the, seireitei. All his friends are being beaten and a lot are being killed, and he's listening to all of it.

Dani:

Oh, and to double back, I forgot. I, I when I was taking my notes, when we were looking at the episode the sternritter that was controlling Jidanbo is. Because I, I went and I, I checked, I don't know if this is spoiler for anybody, but it's sternritter, it's sternritter

giovani:

Really.

Dani:

C. His, his it's compulsion, or I guess he's called the compulsory, essentially. I know we haven't been really introduced. It's the first introduction to him, but I just wanted to know who that was. Cause I'm like, who's that?

giovani:

You're spoiling. This is a spoil podcast now. Okay. Good to know.

Dani:

Well,

giovani:

know.

Dani:

just so you know, you know, it's important information.

giovani:

well, I guess I do

Dani:

Okay. I guess moving on, we we can probably put, put a little edit to that before I spoil it for everybody.

giovani:

So, Ru Rukia is excited because Ichigo's coming and then all of a sudden he's not coming. But everyone seems to be excited that his bankai can't be stolen Quilge is in Soul Society. He's looking at the, so Soul Society through the garganta he's bragging. He's like, you know, this is just a fraction about what's to come. And he makes a statement. He said, this has all been wr written by the Quincy King and makes it seem like it's ordained and it is going to happen. as far as we know this. Was meant to happen? I don't know why, but he puts it down.

Dani:

Yeah. And then We continue off with Sternritter Jay, and he is fighting with Yahara. Raha, excuse me. And, Chad

giovani:

Yeah.

Dani:

and Orihime

giovani:

yeah, he's about to he's about to kill Ichigo's friends just to make it plainly. He's cuz they're weak. They're in a weakened state, a and he has his sword out and just like that, Quilge gets split in half. And I can tell you Dani, My mind once you see a sword cut through him and it, it sliced through him like butter. I want it to be Ashido Kano, the, uh, soul reaper who helped Rukia out in the Menos Forest in Waco, Mundo. That's who I wanted to be cuz he is so cool. He's a really, really cool guy. And uh, He is a uh, he's a soul Reaper too, and he is like the only soul reaper that's still in Waco, Mundo from his team because his team was, was killed. And he's just staying back in Waco, Mundo killing as much Arrancars as possible. So he's still there. So that's who

Dani:

well, Kisuke seems to recognize whoever it is, That's the impression I got.

giovani:

he recognized him. But the things that makes me wonder is then this unknown person turns his sword on Kisuke, and I just don't know about that. I guess it's still possible because Kisuke is a renegade.

Dani:

essentially. Yeah, he is.

giovani:

I mean, so I, I, I'm holding hope. Maybe

Dani:

Okay.

giovani:

a shield.

Dani:

All right. Well, I mean hopefully they'll get to that next episode I will say that they don't seem to be messing around with too much fillers in these last set of episodes. It's just straight up action from one scene to the next.

giovani:

Right. I agree. And that's one of the reasons I love this episode so much is because it's nonstop action. Like you don't have a moment to breathe. And I guess that takes us to the uh, the next transition, which is each, you

Dani:

in jail. He's trying to break out.

giovani:

that's no. As Nodt is still fighting with Byakuya. And Byakuya, he makes this comment that, I guess it's strategic. He tells Renji to observe the enemy, the enemy's fighting style, so you can kind of make a plan of action what you think about that. I guess my, my whole question is I don't think Reggie's that guy

Dani:

Oh yeah,

giovani:

come up with a plan. I mean, he's more like Ichigo he's a swing first and ask question later.

Dani:

yeah, he's, no one would call um, Renji strategic, I guess.

giovani:

Right? And Renji's like, Hey, me, you talking about me? Right. Come up with a plan. But one of the things that kind of shook me is Byakuya is experience experiencing some fear, like he seems scared through this whole ordeal. Yeah.

Dani:

he does, he really does seem like I don't know if it's just the stern ritter's power that's affecting him, or if he, I guess maybe he's realizing that he, he can be defeated. He can lose

giovani:

I think, I think when you take away a soul reapers bankai their most powerful and their most strategic offensive weapon that causes them to think outside of the box, right? Byakuya case. I think I, I really think it's the fear. I think that maybe As Nodt's thorns, and he As Nodt actually says that his thorns did inflict fear upon Byakuya, and now he's having to deal with it and think about things he's never had to think about

Dani:

Well, yeah, cuz I mean, essentially um, I'll keep messing up his name, but uh, he's usually on the winning end of things, you know, so having his bankai stolen from him and. kind of being overpowered in the fight. I mean, I can, I can see why the fear would, would be showing itself,

giovani:

Right, and and it shows because he asked Renji for help.

Dani:

Right. I know. Like if, if we have to depend on Renji save the, the day, I don't know what we're doing.

giovani:

right. So, you know, As Nodt makes this comment about fear and rational fear and irrational fear. And he makes it seem like what Byakuya is experiencing now is true fear because true fear is irrational, right? It's something that you, you can't deal with through experience. It's something that you face. It's almost like you're fighting the unknown. It's that unknown fear that's highly irrational and yeah. It's hard to see Byakuya in a situation like that.

Dani:

Yeah.

giovani:

is. did you catch what? What's causing Byakuya's fear?

Dani:

What outside of the arrows magnetizing or hyping it up.

giovani:

Yeah, it seems like his fear is Rukia. Rukia's death. Just to be honest with you, because there was a scene where you saw Rukia and then her face knelt and it goes to a skeleton. So he has a fear of losing his sister-in-law, his sister, adoptive sister. And I guess it shows that a lot of people aren't, don't fear for themselves, but they fear for their loved, their loved ones. And that is why making Bakia do two irrational things right now.

Dani:

Yeah, I mean, that makes sense.

giovani:

And then we go to that dreaded scene. And Dani, this is scene I hate the most. It's ho. It's so hard to watch. Byakuya gets struck down by his own

Dani:

he used, his own bankai against him. I feel like there should be a rule that that can't happen. Like you can't have your own bankai be used against you. I just, I just think it's bad form

giovani:

Yeah, it was so shocking. It was a shocking display of force. The strikes were merciless, had no mercy to them, and they shredded him. They shredded Byakuya with his own bankai, and it went on for a long time it seemed like. I mean, he took several blows. Back to back to back and it was hard to watch cuz he was

Dani:

Yeah, he, he and um, Renji just kind of collapsed, and it, it was pretty bad, but it also showed you like the strength of his bankai, you know, cuz he, he wasn't the only one that got his bankai stolen. But of the ones that kind of did his, was like, Hey, you have Byakuya's bankai, like, Like that's a big deal. You know, you have senbonzakura. Like that's a big deal,

giovani:

and it, it hit Renji so hard. Renji jumped into the fray again and after Byakuya told him, don't use your bankai. The first thing Renji do. Pulls out his, his sword and shouts bankai. Luckily a uh, the next sternritter comes in,

Dani:

That's sternritter.

giovani:

Mask the masculine s

Dani:

S mask, the masculine. Yes.

giovani:

jumps in and will not let him finish his incantation. He just rips up his shikai and. Renji somewhere on the ground lying in a puddle of blood.

Dani:

um, it, it's not looking,

giovani:

his, shikai,

Dani:

for them.

giovani:

his sword and that's when As Nodt, he, he made the statement and I was like, oh, this is big. Mask the masculine said he didn't know lieutenants had bankai's and that's when, As Nodt said, if you had only read doctrine, or he was going to say doctrine or documentation something doc, something, you would've known that lieutenants and captains both have bankai's, which leads me to believe that even further, that this

Dani:

Right. so very well, very well planned, very well thought out.

giovani:

Right. they're assigning targets right between this Quincy, this sternritter versus this, this lieutenant and this captain. And they're, they're stealing bankai's and putting themselves in best, the best position to pretty much kill everybody. They fight.

Dani:

it, just makes complete sense cuz I, probably don't know all the um, power of, all the sternritters but the one that compels fear would be a, probably a really good one to use on Byakuya, Yeah. Of all people. so. They, they have this really planned out to a t and uh, it's just like, it's, they're slowly taking them out one by one. yeah, it's not

giovani:

It is bad,

Dani:

looking good.

giovani:

which takes us where? What's the next scene? I think we're the now, right?

Dani:

Okay with Kenpachi.

giovani:

Yeah, this is uh, the Quincy King and his second in command Jugram. They are, I guess they're talking strategy or whatever, and Kenpachi Zaraki walks up with three sternritters on his back and they are Jerome Guizbatt sternritter"R" the Roar. Uh, I think it's Berenice Gabrielli, The Question, and this one more, Lloyd Royd, sternritter,"Y" The Yourself and, you know, this makes me so happy. Like, it's so, you know, it's doom and gloom here, doom and gloom, and Zaraki walks in with, three sternritter on his back,

Dani:

I mean,

giovani:

smack. I'm like, these people can go down. They can be defeated without a bankai you just need the person

Dani:

Kenpachi definitely be the one to take out three sternritters at once.

giovani:

and and strong. With that As Nodt the fear. I don't think Kenpachi would even blink if he got hit by a thorn soul. You know, I don't know. I don't know why they sent, they sent Jerome Guizbatt on him,"The Roar", this is what he got. And Kenpachi he, he narrates this very well, better than what I'm gonna do. He said uh, this guy transformed into a beast and roared so I ripped his throat out, right?

Dani:

about right,

giovani:

simple. And then Berenice was talking and he's like, he wouldn't shut up. Okay. I think I got that wrong. Right? He ripped Berenice throat out because he wouldn't shut up. He just killed Guizbatt. Right? you remember,"The Roar". Jerome GI back. So he killed him first and because he had the ringing in his ear he couldn't hear Gabriel, Berenice Gabrieli. He couldn't hear him talk because he has like an auditory power. Power. And because he had the ringing in his ear, he couldn't hear what the guy was saying. So that's when he just ripped out his voice. His voice brought his throat. He ripped his throat. And Lloyd Royd. Or Royd Lloyd, he has the power to mimic a person likeliness and ability. And as Kenpachi said, I just became stronger and I killed him though he was the harder one to fight. Fascinating

Dani:

good. now we're flashing back to Ichigo still in his prison in the Garganta

giovani:

mode at this point. Everybody's

Dani:

Yeah, I mean he can, cuz he can see that it's, you know, he can see that his friends are down But,

giovani:

Right, right. It is.

Dani:

help,

giovani:

He realizes it's going nowhere, I guess. Is he seeing shhe, right? The over here?

Dani:

Is he,

giovani:

I don't know. I don't know. But Shuhei is fighting Driscoll. Sternritter"O", The Overkill. And he is taking a beating. He is getting pummeled. He has the, the reishi arrow. I believe the I don't know what you call it. It's, it's the one that we

Dani:

Yeah, he killed, He kills Sasakibe.

giovani:

friend.

Dani:

Yeah. He's the one that That

giovani:

Yeah.

Dani:

Sasakibe

giovani:

And Driscoll, he's talking a lot of trash. He's saying, the first time I came here I killed 100 Soul Reapers, and this time I killed 100 more Soul Reapers.

Dani:

yeah. Cuz yeah. The more he

giovani:

and

Dani:

stronger he gets. Yeah.

giovani:

it the stronger he gets and. This is where I was worried about Shuhei, cuz I lo I love Shuhei great character, but I thought this was going to be his end. But no. Wrong,

Dani:

It was looking bad for him, But Yamamoto arrives on the scene intercede.

giovani:

that's right. He comes in and uh, This is, he's overconfident, overkilled, or overconfident, I don't know. But he's talking to the head captain, like, you know, he's a third seat and he says, I'm gonna kill you with your own assistants.

Dani:

I know,

giovani:

bankai

Dani:

you know, it's just so crazy that they're getting attacked with other soul reapers, bankai's. But he is using Sasakibe's that he stole from him.

giovani:

are you brave enough to go

Dani:

Oh uh, yeah. Uh, Coco, I hope I said that right.

giovani:

That's it.

Dani:

I'm always messing up the names

giovani:

It is hard to do. So that's, that's what happened. We see a flashback of Yamamoto and Sasakibe. And Sasakibe is so excited to show Yamamoto his bankai and he does, he does his incantation and says, I'm actually scared to say the name, so you

Dani:

Oh,

giovani:

it again for me?

Dani:

Re

giovani:

Sounds

Dani:

I don't know if I said it right the first time, but yeah, that's essentially it. You know what I mean?

giovani:

So, and in, in doing this, that's how Yamamoto gets his scar and gets his

Dani:

that they gave us the backstory for it that we were talking about at the beginning of the episode.

giovani:

So I guess flash forward, we used his Wrath as Lightning bankai, and it hits Yamamoto nothing.

Dani:

It

giovani:

Nothing. And he just says, you know, such talent wasted. You don't know how to use my assistants bankai and there you will pay. And then one swing of his shikai

Dani:

the flames.

giovani:

Yeah.

Dani:

Yeah.

giovani:

In a strike. So powerful. It completely

Dani:

melts him. Yep. Sternritter O is no more You know, we need like a little like list a chart we can put up and start crossing them out. like, okay, this one's gone.

giovani:

But how did you feel like when Sternritter"O" died, I felt great. I hate to say it. I was like, I don't know how many other sternritter are dead, but there's at least four. Kenny killed three Yamamoto killed one, and I guess the jail. It's dead too.

Dani:

Quilge

giovani:

Quilge

Dani:

Quilge Opie's dead cuz he got slashed in half. So

giovani:

But if you know the alphabet, just 21 more

Dani:

We, you know, they're working their way down, but they Sure, they're sure losing a lot of um, people in the process. I say that

giovani:

yes. It's not, one to one, it's like

Dani:

that's more like it cuz they're sure losing a ton of people in the process.

giovani:

But as Yamamoto powers away, it seems to inspire the rest of the soul reapers with a She Chi release. He's talks to Robert Tro. He seemed like he's ready to do battle again, cuz at one time he seemed defeated. But uh, I guess it's going towards the end, the end, of the episode and we flashed to where we transitioned to. Kenpachi Zaraki the special threat. He's defeated by the

Dani:

Yeah, the Quincy King has Kenpachi in his grasp

giovani:

and they said, and Yamamoto said his name. Yhwach and now we know who we are dealing with.

Dani:

Like, I'm just not here for any Kenpachi defeats. Nope. We're not gonna do it. Can't do it. I'm sorry,

giovani:

We didn't see it was off camera, so we didn't see how quick it was. We didn't see

Dani:

I mean, I'm sure they're gonna circle back. That's, you know, But I'm just like, just like um, Byakuya, not here for it. Can't do it. You know?

giovani:

So how do you feel about finally getting a name for the Quincy King?

Dani:

I know. Uh, I I keep fumbling it up. I know that.

giovani:

What's, that's another discuss. This is a discussion for another day

Dani:

proper pronunciation is.

giovani:

many pronunciations,

Dani:

we, we've looked at very long uh, Think pieces on,what's right and what's wrong, and

giovani:

And everybody's passionate about, you know, how to pronounce this name that looks like you. Why? Why watch you

Dani:

Y H W A C H and you would think it'd be simple enough, but it's

giovani:

Right. Like uWatch,

Dani:

so it was it you ha bach, right? You ha bach.

giovani:

that

Dani:

Back or with the

giovani:

pronunciation of it.

Dani:

the, with that, yeah, with that at the end.

giovani:

Var or Yuha. Wawa, and we'll probably call him

Dani:

that German at the end. Like I don't, I don't have that in me

giovani:

So that ends the

Dani:

Yeah. It was good. I action from beginning to end. some questions

giovani:

A lot of,

Dani:

Lots of new questions.

giovani:

exactly. You took the words outta my mouth. Like We have more questions, but some questions were answered. A lot of fighting. Lot of thrills and there were upside to this, right? There was uh, wins

Dani:

Yeah.

giovani:

by the soul reapers, not just losses. And I think this is time for us to rank

Dani:

Okay.

giovani:

episode. I'll

Dani:

Uh,

giovani:

first.

Dani:

I'll give it, I'll say I'll give it nine bankai's. It's pretty good. Yeah. nine

giovani:

bankai's

Dani:

was pretty good.

giovani:

Okay, I'm giving it 9.5 bankai's because this was the

Dani:

I think so.

giovani:

far.

Dani:

feel like it has been, Yeah,

giovani:

We gotta see Kenny Kenpachi just kill three. Sternritter's off the bat, Yamamotos, saving Shuhei and any, anytime I get to see Shunsui I'm happy. So,

Dani:

yeah.

giovani:

I'm, I'm Okay. So you wanna talk about the best and worst

Dani:

sure. So,

giovani:

okay. What Ms. Danny p.

Dani:

So the best for me would be, I guess, Kenpachi rolling in, you know, Kenpachi rolling in with just taking out three Sternritters and one strike. Like it's, you just another day. he can do this all day, Because he's always entertaining for me because he just has, yeah. He just has the confidence and it's just like, okay, we are just here and we are having fun. you know, everybody's dying, but we, we are having fun. So, yeah.

giovani:

Kenpachi's having

Dani:

Yeah. So I'll say he, he was a

giovani:

So my, my best is Yamamoto. when Yamamoto entered the scene, This is right after Kenny did his thing with the sternritters. He threw himself into the fray, killed Sternritter O, which I think everybody wanted to see him go away. They wanted to see him die, just by the way. He killed Sasakibe and he was talking mad trash. And he would use his best friend's, his assistants um, bankai. Last but not least, I feel like he assured the audience as well as the soul Reapers when he says, don't fear because I am here. Like there was a reassurance to let me know that the next episode he is going to kick butt because the head captain on the scene. I just. I don't feel it's, it is gloomy now, so, yeah, I feel good. What's your

Dani:

Uh, Probably uh, Byakuya him getting struck with those arrows and then on top of that being hit with his own bankai. I'm just like, I, like I said before, gotta be, we gotta write this down in the, in the new rule book. No more. Your own bankai can take you out. I mean, it's very, it makes for a very Interesting episode, edge of your Seat episode. But man, I'm like, he got taken out with his own bankai man, and, and my heart hurt I was down, I was down. So that, that was my uh, not so great part of the episode for me.

giovani:

that was your worst. And it's the same for me. I don't think there could be another worst. Because what happened with Byakuya Kuchiki, you know, having bankai stolen, then being beat unmercifully with it, with only Renji to

Dani:

I know

giovani:

know,

Dani:

you might as well say he was dead then. Correct. Because you can't, I'm sorry, I, I know I'm saying, I'm talking about Renji, but I just feel like Renji's absolutely useless

giovani:

His bankai is, pretty worthless unless he's fighting

Dani:

maybe, I don't know, maybe if he had a couple thousand more years to develop it,

giovani:

I didn't like how Byakuya was hit over and over and over again. It's like, I don't need to

Dani:

Yeah,

giovani:

We get the point. I guess there we have it, the best and worst.

Dani:

Very good episode. Can't wait for the next one.

giovani:

Do you know the name of it?

Dani:

I, oh, there you go.

giovani:

I do.

Dani:

The fire. Okay, the fire's up next. You know we are,

giovani:

And listen, you know what's going on with the fire. Right? you

Dani:

you know, we already got some flames, so we're just gonna get, we are just gonna get more flames,

giovani:

yeah, I'm a moto

Dani:

you know.

giovani:

fat

Dani:

He is, I tell you, he is just like a, I guess the sternritter's wanna find out then, right? Like you messing around, they're gonna find out. But episode six. So that means we're like that, that'll put us halfway through the season or well, yeah, I guess we're calling it season or first part of the final arc, Can't, can't wait for that one. And I'm sure it's just gonna be which it seems to be the central theme of, of like nonstop action. Completely. Yeah. Which is a big change from like the previous episodes or seasons of, of bleach. Cuz you know, we, we had several arcs there that had so many filler episodes. You know, you just kinda, I'm sure people have like marked them for, okay. Okay. Episodes 300 to three. Oh<LAUGH> three 20. You can just skip those

giovani:

they did it. But I will say, While, watching it on um, on Hulu or or funimation, crunchy roll they do kind of market. They let you know that this 12 is actual story, actual art, though the next 24 episodes maybe filler, you know, the 12 after that is actual arc. Then they go back into filler. And you know, if, if it's based on manga, you don't want to get too close to the manga, so you do have to add the filler in there just to give a the manga

Dani:

develop.

giovani:

more time to,

Dani:

Yeah, I do wonder,

giovani:

out.

Dani:

Do you know cuz I haven't read it. Like how closely this episode like mirrored the manga.

giovani:

Very closely. I mean, they're, they went more

Dani:

Okay.

giovani:

Lloyd Royd story and you know, the slight details in every fight that make it more interesting. But that's about it. They, they, they're going page by page.

Dani:

Okay, well that's, that's great because, you know, usually,

giovani:

Yeah.

Dani:

uh, When I'm getting the story version or the um, the show version of like a book or manga. I like it to, and some people don't, but I do. I like it to stay true to what I know, what I've read. You know? So when you start veering off into the unknown, creating your own story lines, that's a no. That is a no, that's, that's a good way of getting poor ratings from me. So

giovani:

But bleach is, I mean, they're cutting some things out, but for the most part, I mean, it's page for page frame by

Dani:

So that's, that's fantastic then. Yeah.

giovani:

yeah. So

Dani:

So yeah, next episode, halfway point. We have 12 episodes in all, so we, we'll be back for episode six next time. All right,

giovani:

All right,

Dani:

See ya

giovani:

keep listening.

Dani:

guys. Have a good night.

giovani:

Bye.
