1. God is unconditionally committed to his children. (Jeremiah 32:38-39)
2. God will never stop doing good for us. (Jeremiah 32:40)
3. God’s true children will never turn away from Him. (Jeremiah 32:40, Deuteronomy 33:27, Psalm 37:24, 28, 66:9 , 94:14, 97:10, John 6:37, 39, 10:28, 17:12, Romans 11:29, 1 Corinthians 1:8-9 , Philippians 1:6, Hebrews 13:5)
4. How do we explain those who fall away from the faith? (1 John 2:19)
5. Doesn’t this make people morally careless?
6. How can we be sure that we will never be lost? (Romans 10:9, Ephesians 1:13, Philippians 1:6, Matthew 7:16, 1 John 2:5-6)
Next steps...
- Read and reflect on some of the Bible verses listed under point #3.
- Memorize and take comfort in what Jesus says in John 10:28: “I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one can snatch them out of my hand.”
- Thank the Lord for His everlasting love for His children and pray that He draws back to Himself those you know and love who have wandered away from the faith.
