2. Paul defends himself. (Galatians 1:1-2,11-17)

3. He celebrates the good news! (Galatians 1:4-5, John 3:17-18)

4. Self-righteousness is a false gospel. (Galatians 1:5-12)

5. Jesus changes lives!  (Galatians 1:11-24, 2 Corinthians 5:17)

Next steps...

• Ponder and discuss why it’s so appealing for us to rely on ourselves, rather than to look to Jesus and what He’s done to rescue us from our sins.
• Read, reflect on, and give thanks for the message of Galatians 1:3-5: “Jesus gave his life for our sins, just as God our Father planned, in order to rescue us from this evil world in which we live. All glory to God forever and ever! Amen.”(NLT)
