1. God allows sin and suffering. (Genesis 37&39, Job 1-2, John 16:33)

2. God is always working for our good. (Romans 8:28) 

3. God is conforming us to Christ. (Romans 8:29)

4. God is for us. (Romans 8:31)

5. Jesus intercedes for us. (Romans 8:34)

6. God’s love is invincible. (Romans 8:35-39)

7. Trust in the Lord. (Proverbs 3:5-6, John 14:1)

• Read the story of Joseph in Genesis 37-50 and pay attention to how God’s providence worked out in his life.
• Ask an older believer how they’ve experienced God’s providence over the course of their lives.
• Continue to battle our culture’s insistence that life is about our health, happiness and comfort with the truth that our lives are about becoming more like Christ and giving glory to God.
