1. There’s a difference between Abraham and Moses.

    (Genesis 12:1-3, Exodus 19-20)

2. Why did God give us so many rules? (Galatians 3:19)

• To show us who He is. (Leviticus 19:2,9-10,16,18, 20:23-24)
• To restrain sin. (Deuteronomy 13:11, Romans 13:3-4)
• To give us standards to live by. (Deuteronomy 5:32-33)
• To reveal our need for a Savior. (Romans 3:20, Galatians 3:24, Philippians 3:8-9, James 1:23-25)

3. God set us free! (Galatians 3:22-24, 4:4, 5:1)

Next steps...

• Offer a prayer of thanksgiving and praise to the Lord for setting us free from the prison of sin and shame.
• Read and reflect on Leviticus 19&20.  What does it tell us about who God is and what He’s concerned about?
• Thank God for the instructions and rules He gives us and ask Him to help you live by them – not to earn His favor – but out of gratitude for the gift of salvation that He’s given you through Jesus Christ.
