1. An angel appeared to the shepherds. (Luke 2:8-9)
2. This is good news for everyone. (Luke 2:8-10, John 3:16-18, Acts 2:39)
3. Jesus is the promised Savior and Lord. (Matthew 1:21, Luke 2:11)
4. The heavenly host praised God.
(2 Kings 6:17, Luke 2:13-14, Revelation 19:4-6,14)
5. Jesus brings shalom. (Luke 2:14, John 14:27, 16:33, Romans 5:1)
Next steps...
- Affirm the good news that Jesus has opened the kingdom of God for everyone! It’s for you and for all those whom the Lord our God will call to repent and believe. (Acts 2:38-39)
- Is it easier for you to claim Jesus as your Savior or your Lord? Invite Him to be both!
- Pray for Jesus to bring his perfect peace into the hearts and lives of those in our world who continue to live in spiritual darkness. Pray that He will be their light, their life and their peace.
