A Palm Sunday sermon outline based on Luke 19:28-44

1. He led the way to Jerusalem. (Luke 19:28, 17:11, 13:22, 9:51)
2. He declared himself King.
(Luke 19:29-38, Psalm 118:25-26, Zechariah 9:9, 14:1-9, Matthew 21:5-10)
3. Jesus refused to stop them. (Luke 19:39-40)
4. He wept over the city. (Luke 19:41-44)
5. The people chose their lamb. (Exodus 12:21, John 1:29)
Next steps...
- Reflect on Jesus as your King. How do you honor Him? How might you honor Him more?
- Ask God to make you weep for those who don’t know Jesus. Then offer yourself to do and say as He directs you in order see more people come to faith in Christ.
- Give thanks for Jesus sacrificial death on the cross for you and ponder what you’re willing to sacrifice in order for someone else to be saved.
