I am Onge, and I am a disciple of Christ who's passionate about helping young people feel loved, seen, and not alone in their walk with Yeshua. Okay. Jesus Christ. This podcast exists to equip you to become a disciple of Christ so that you can walk in the love of the Father, so that you can walk in your purpose in purity and live joyfully no matter what life season you're currently facing. So today is episode eight of the podcast titled Winning Spiritual and Mental Warfare, having offense and defense against the enemy's tactic. That's a long title, but stay tuned and stick with me today. Before we get into the message, I hope you're all well. Um these last couple of weeks have been very busy for me. So I was actually supposed to release a message last Monday. But things were busy. It's the final um it was the final weeks of the semester, and I had work on the side, so things were busy, and I didn't really have time to shoot and edit a video for you guys. So that's why I didn't um release uh a video last Monday. But this Monday I'm back, but not for long. How do I say this? I have good news and bad news. Okay. Which one? Which one do you guys want? You know, for me, I usually like the bad news, so I'm gonna say the bad news. Okay. So the bad news is that this is my last episode in the studio. The studio that you see. The bad news is this is actually probably my last episode of season one. Um, and I say this because now that the semester is ended, I'm actually in a podcast studio in my university. So it's summer now, and now school is done. The podcast studio is gonna be closed for the next three, four months until four semester. So at the end of the day, I cannot shoot this podcast for you guys anymore. Which is like sad because I was really getting comfortable. Like, we've been here for eight episodes, it was really getting comfy. I was getting used to these vibes, it was nice, good equipment, good sound. I know you guys have probably been enjoying the messages. I think I'm not sure. You know what? Half of the time you guys won't even tell me if you're enjoying it or not. But like for me, I've really been enjoying being in this podcast studio. So that is like the sad part, is that now I'm currently looking for a new, either a new podcast studio, so that's the good news, the setting is gonna change. I think that's the bad news is this is the last episode. The good news is that the setting is gonna change. So you're not gonna be seeing me in this podcast studio. I'm praying that hopefully I could find another podcast studio, but I live in Miami, I live in Florida, so a lot of the podcast studios to book them out, you know how much they are. Like, I think it's like per hour, it's like a hundred plus dollars just for one hour at the studio, whereas here at school it was for free. And yeah, which is tough. Or I could invest in getting a podcast mic, um, one that is actually quality. Like I I I used to have a podcast m podcast mic um when I first started this podcast as Monday Motivation with Onke, but I feel like that podcast mic was not really good and like the audio wasn't as nice as I like it now. So I'm thinking that maybe maybe I get a new podcast mic and then maybe do it like at home or like in a different environment. I don't know. We'll see where the Lord Lord takes me. Um, but now I'm no longer gonna be on campus, so and the studio is gonna be closed for uh summer break, so it's tough. I don't know what's next for the podcast, but you know, please pray for me. I'll also be praying for you guys because I know um these last couple of messages have really been uh me sharing my story and just sharing the goodness of God. And I know a lot of times when I did share my testimony, people said they went through similar things. So I know that I'm not alone in the things that I've experienced, and I know that this podcast is not for myself, it's just for you guys to know that you're not alone in this walk, that um we're all in this together, we all in this together, that this walk with Christ is not easy, but it's worthwhile. And you know, being a disciple of Christ, it does have its difficulties, but it really does have its benefits, and the benefits outweigh the living in the world type vibe, so you get more peace and joy. So I just know that this podcast, I don't know where it's heading for now, because this is the last episode, but I know wherever it's hitting or whatever God is doing in this next season, that it's all part of his will. And I'm not worried or stressed, but I just wanted to release this last message, which is titled Winning Spiritual and Mental Warfare, having offense and defense against the enemy's tactic. Now, before we get into it, do you guys know that May is Mental Health Awareness Month, which is like my Ali. I don't know how to say that why we say it's my Ali, but mental health has been really a huge part of, you know, I think Gen Z is the most aware when it comes to mental health. And as being someone who studies psychology and have, you know, done essays about it, done research about it. It's like it's really a big factor in a lot of our lives. And I don't feel like it's spoken about a lot, especially in men, because I learned that the suicide rate is higher in men than women. I think as women, we're able to talk to our companions, to our girlfriends, to, you know, um other girls. Like, you know, we're able to talk about our emotions, but I feel like a lot of men, they don't really talk to their friends. Um, they don't really talk about what we're good they're going through. So in gestes, like this month of May is mental health awareness month. And as someone who's done the degree in psychology, I know that there's a biological side to the brain, okay? And as a person who's a Christian, I also know there's a spiritual side to things. And with my testimony of what I shared last week, a lot of it was also spiritual and mental at the same time. I think I had a mental breakdown, which was also like a spiritual breakdown. And it's like I'm combining both, but I want to give a huge distinction because with mental health, um, I cannot diagnose what mental health you have because I I like physically have not met anyone watching this. I don't know your symptoms or anything like that. But I do believe that there's a lot of things that are biological in our brain. Things like ADHD is a biological thing. Things like bipolar is biological, it's chemicals that, you know, due to trauma, it led to uh certain chemicals making an imbalance in your brain. And that's why some people take bipolar medications. So there's some things that actually are biological that should be treated with pills. But then there's a common thing that we all face that is like anxiety, fear, doubt, depression. There's also major depressive uh disorder, which is also biological, and then there's just common depression, where common depression is when something happens in your life and for a long in that season you are like having sadness, right? Major depressive episode is actually biological. It is something with the the serotonin in your brain. Okay, let me not go too deep into it, but like I want to give the facts before I continue with it. But in it, I just wanted to say that there's um mental health that is in relation to your biological things, where you go to a psychiatrist or a psychologist and a doctor and they diagnose you with what you have, and that that's the biological chemical side of it, right? And then there's also just another side of it where you may not have a disorder, but you have mental health issues, whether that's just depression or anxiety, disorder, or all these things due to past traumas or things like that. And then there's a thing where we all face, which is I feel like everyone faces mental warfare and sometimes it's spiritual warfare. And that thing is due to us living in a world where the enemy is out to steal, kill, and destroy. And a lot of times we think it is our thoughts that are messing with our mind, but this message is all about the warfare that you face mentally due to the enemy and how you can have offense and defense against the enemy's tactic. So it's not just talking about the biological side of it, it's also talking about the common things that we face as Christians or even humans, because I feel like the world has also spiritual battles going on, and I feel like a lot of them is linked to the dark world, a lot of them is linked to the spiritual realm that's affecting a lot of people's um brains, not brains, but how they show up in the world. And I'm here to tell you that you can come against the mental strongholds that the enemy um has been holding on to your life in Yeshua's name. And you can hold on to the word, which is the Bible, to break these strongholds. As someone who, as I told you in my testimony, I was literally in a psych ward twice. I was literally drugged, I was seeing things, I was experiencing things that were not physical, but it was spiritual, and a lot of those things could have left me in a state of craziness, in a state of delusion, a state of you know, continuing seeing these things, but because of the power of prayer, because of the power of the name of Yeshua, because of the power of a praying mom, because it like my mom, it's Mother's Day, and well, Mother's Day is on the 10th of May, and so this is gonna be released on the 11th of May. But you see, like the power of a praying mother really helped me in those seasons to come out of mental and spiritual warfare, and the world and the word of God literally tells us this, okay? So before we get into the word of God, before we get into the message, before I get into what I want to say to you guys, I really need to ask the Holy Spirit to come down and give me wisdom and give me uh the right words and articulation because honestly, sometimes I may have the thought in my brain, I have the message right here, but I know I cannot speak on my own. I know I know I can't I can't do this on my own. I have to humble myself to God, to the Holy Spirit, so He can speak to me to reach whoever is listening. Um, so let's pray and then we get into scripture and into the message that I have for you. Okay, okay, okay, okay. Okay, so Heavenly Father, I humble you today. I thank you for this first season of the Soft Go and Christ podcast. I thank you, Lord, for all those who have listened, Lord God, who all those who have watched, whether that's your daughter, whether it's your son, I ask you, Lord God, that you may continue to speak through me to reach those that you need. This podcast is not about numbers, it's not about okay, it's about you, Yeshua, to lift your name on high, to help those in need, to help guide those. So, Holy Spirit, I ask you, with the scriptures that you've given me, with the message that you've given me, I pray that you may help me to say the right things, to articulate the message you've placed in my heart to your children, Lord God. I thank you, Lord God, for these past seven episodes of the Soft Goal and Christoph and Christ podcast. And as it's the final episode, episode eight, I pray, Lord God, that you may take over less of me and more of you. Okay. May the person listening to this be open to hearing it and that they will walk with you, Yeshua, for the rest of their life. In the mighty name of Yeshua, I pray. Amen. Amen. Okay. Let's get into it. Okay, so the title of the message is Winning Spiritual and Mental Warfare, orfense and defense against the enemy's tactics. So I have a few scriptures that I want to read to you in regards to these spiritual and mental warfare that we face, but we have the power through Yeshua to get through it. We have the power through Yeshua to overcome them. Amen. So the first scripture I have is 2 Corinthians 10 verse 5. Okay, I actually want to go to 2 Corinthians 10 verse 4 to 5. Okay. It says, The weapons we fight are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. Verse 5 says, We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ. The enemy's number one tactic, let me tell you this. Enemy's number one tactic in John 10, verse 10, it says, The enemy comes to steal, kill, and destroy. And Jesus then said, But I have come, so they may have life and life more full. So then also in 1 Peter 5, verse 8, it says, Be alert and sober and of sober mind. Your enemy, the devil, pours around like a roaring lion, looking for someone to devour. Okay, so these three scriptures I have for you. John 10 verse 10, and 1 Peter verse 5 to 8. Let's sit in it. Okay. So we have we live in a world where a lot of people blame God for what's happening. But when you look at these things that are going on in the world, they are not a characteristic of God. None of these things are characteristic of God. How I know that, it's because of John 10, verse 10, and because of 1 Peter 5, verse 8. That's why I say it's important to read your word. In John 10, verse 10, it says, God, Jesus, Yeshua said this, that the thief, the thief who is a thief, is Satan. Satan comes to steal, kill, and destroy. Right? But because of Jesus Christ, you have life and life more abundantly. Then in 1 Peter 5, verse 8, it says, be alert and of sober mind. What does it mean to be sober minded? Being sober-minded meaning being so um in tune with the word of God, which makes you sober-minded. Sober minded in knowing God, sober-minded in knowing the characteristics of what is God and what is not God, what it, what what thoughts are going into my mind? Are these thoughts what Jesus Christ would say to me, or the thoughts of what the enemy would say? And that's the important distinction because when you read in uh 2 Corinthians 10, verse 5, it says, it says, demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself against the knowledge of God. And we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ. Okay? So one thing the enemy, one area where the enemy tries to attack you in, it's not first through your actions, it's actually first through your mind, through your thoughts, what you think about, right? When you think about negative things, when you think about lies, deceptions, things that are against what God has said about you, that is the enemy. The enemy is trying to stop you from perceiving yourself the way God perceives you because he wants to stop you from believing that you're capable of more in life, wants to stop you from believing in Yeshua, and wants to stop you from even reaching where God wants you to. So what he does is that he leads lies, deceptions over you to keep you in bondage, in mental bondage, in mental prison, so that you can never take authority and take hold of the power that Christ has already given you through him defeating the um defeating death. He gave us power through him to demolish these strongholds and these lies of the enemy, right? These lies that tell you that you are not good enough, that you cannot do anything, that you are gonna always be depressed, and that anxiety is your identity. Your mental health is your mental disorder, is not your identity. Your identity is that you are a child of God, that you are fearfully and wonderfully made, that you can do all things through Christ who strengthens you, that you are a child of God. That is your identity. Yes, you may have diagnoses of things, yes, you may have things that come up like spirits of sadness and depression or anxiety, fearful, but then you need to know hey, anxiety is not of God because God said that do not be anxious about anything, but through prayer and supplication, give your requests to God. So when these things or whenever you have these moments that are fear or anxiety, you have to take hold of those, take captive of those thoughts. And because of the knowledge of the word of God that you have, make it obedient to God. As I said, if anxiety comes through and you're like, oh my gosh, I don't know, I can't do this, I'm overwhelmed. I have to sit in prayer. You have to sit in prayer and come against that. Like, God, I'm not gonna be anxious for anything, but I'm coming into prayer right now. I'm fearful of this situation that I'm going into right now. I'm fearful, but I know that I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. This is the knowledge of God. That's why it's so important to read the word. Because when you read the word, all these scriptures will come up as you're facing certain mental attacks or mental thoughts that are trying to come in. But because you see in John in 2 Corinthians 10 verse 5, it says, demolish these arguments, these things that are coming, the enemy lying to you, demolish it by the knowledge of God, by taking those thoughts captive and making it obedient to the word of God. Every time a thought that is very anxious thought, go into the word of God and see what God says about anxiety. If it's a depressive thought, what did God say about depression in the world, in the word? If it's um fearful thoughts, what did God say in the world? If it's doubtful, if it's being, you know, all these things. This word of God, this is what you how you can win these spiritual and mental welfare. It's right in your hand. And a lot of times we think people not being able to come against these strongholds because they don't want to read their word. They don't want to um actually get that knowledge of God. The only way you're gonna get the knowledge of God is reading the word so that you can win the win, the spiritual and mental battles in your life. We cannot be illiterate Christians. We cannot be illiterate disciples of Christ because you know I'm here to equip you to become a disciple of Christ. And I don't want anyone listening to my platform to not be equipped in any field or any area of their life they may go, especially in in when it pertains to mental health. A lot of us think, oh, no, anxiety. I have social anxiety, yeah, it's my thing. And like put it a badge, or uh, yeah, this is my thing. Like, I'm always depressed, or I'm always sad. We don't, why do we want to put that badge in our lives? Why do we want to be known by the thing that keeps us in bondage? No, we are set, we are set free through Yeshua, through the word of God, which sets us free. Those who truly have read the word of God, they're not gonna like there will be times where you have these thoughts. There'll be times where you face spiritual welfare, where you feel depressed, where you feel fearful, but you have to hold on to the word. It may not immediately change the situation quickly, but over time you'll see the next day you'll get better, the next day you'll get better, the next, it's not immediate, and sometimes we're so quick to want an immediate effect, but that's not how life works. But if you're consistent in reading the word of God, inconsistent and practice. Practicing how to take these thoughts captive and make it obedient to God, you will see that every time a thought comes, oh, now I'm like, oh no, that is not God. Oh, I distinguish it's the enemy. And the thing is, the enemy's strategy, let me tell you how he has the strategy, right? With the enemy, what he does is that he will plant a thought in your head, right? But now it's your decision. Once he's planting that thought, he's gonna be like, hey, okay, you're not gonna be able to be successful in life. Okay. And then the next step is gonna be like, you entertain it. So he plants a thought, you entertain it. How I will be entertaining that thought of like, okay, you're not gonna be successful in life, will be like, yeah, you're right, because look at my situation right now, you know, I don't really have many, you know, say let's say followers, because let's do that. Like, yeah, I don't have many followers like the other people talking about Christ or or the other content creators. Yeah, I don't have many followers. So you're right. Um, you know, it looks like I'm not gonna be successful. Then then it then comes the next thing is where it becomes a belief. So now you're starting to believe that thought that came, like, yeah, you know, I'm never gonna amount to anything. Oh yeah, I believe that life is against me. Oh, I believe that no one supports me, so I can never do anything. That becomes a belief. And then it shapes next step, it's like it shapes your behavior. So now you're gonna show up and be like, uh, what's the point of doing this? What's the point of doing my podcast? Like, if I'm not gonna be successful in it and it looks like it's not succeeding and no one really cares about it, what is the point of me showing up and doing it? It changes my behavior. So then I'm like, I don't even show up. And then that affects your life because then you stay stuck and you stay stagnant and you don't move. So then if I'm not putting the energy into the lifestyle, the success I want in life because of that thought, then my reality is, yeah, I'm not gonna be successful. It affects my life. I don't move forward, I stay stuck. And that could be in any kind of thought that the enemy does with you, is that he will plant a thought, you entertain it, it becomes a belief, it shapes your behavior, and then it will affect your life. But then when he plants a thought that you are not gonna amount to anything, that's you have to counteract that with the word of God. Be like, no, I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. What are you talking about, devil? Like, get away from me. The moment that spiritual warfare of like that, that mental welfare comes in, like, devil, no, you're lying. That's not of God because he says I can do all things. If God says I can do all things through Christ, like what do you mean? I am gonna be successful, and that's how you have to walk in the things. And even if it doesn't change the situation right now, daily doing that actually does shape the effect of your life because I can see that all the things that God has been opening, aligning to my necks, aligning to my necks, aligning to my legs, because I never stay stuck in this the in what the enemy is saying. So I have to take those thoughts captive. Amen. Amen. Philippi and then now the next scripture is um Philippians 4, verse 8. It says, Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable, if anything is excellent or praiseworthy, think about such things. Guys, in times of mental warfare, in times of spiritual warfare, the enemy will try to come against you, right? But you have to not sit there and listen to depressive music, not sit there and watch depressive shows or things that make you more depressed, or look at things on social media to make you more sad and more, you know, like you know. No, that is not focusing on whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is admirable. That's not what God wants you to do. In those times, you need to open, I I don't even know how you need to open this word. You need to put on worship music. Worship music is the number one thing I do. Whenever the in whenever the enemy really tries to come against me in this mental warfare, I have to praise God. I have to invite him in that space immediately. I play that worship music, I praise him. I shoot the devil out of that environment. No, no, no, no. Even if I don't feel like it, that praise music. There's a thing of um, I don't know, when that times where I have like sad thoughts, or I play the song, I think it's by Hillsong. It's called Peace. It's called Hillsong Worship. I don't know, it's called Peace. And it literally just a time where my head is overwhelmed, I play that song so the peace of the Lord can be around me. So I can feel peace in a midst of feeling overwhelmed or feeling incapable. The peace of the Lord comes in. I invite him in that space. So I worship him. Then I then open YouTube. There's so many pastors and so many disciples of Christ, and so many, you need to get sound, like sound sermons, like ones that are biblically literate, but hearing about people speak about certain things that they overcame, or how to overcome things, or watching sermons or posts, and it allows you to be equipped in the midst of those things, to look at what is true, what is noble, what is pure, what is admirable in those seasons of mental warfare, right? And what is praiseworthy is God, right? So it shifts your eyes to Jesus, not the circumstance to Jesus, right? So that's what we should do. Then going on to the third verse I have for you is in Romans 12, verse 2. It says, It says, Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is, his good, pleasing, and perfect will. Let me tell you, a lot of the younger generation and also the older generation, I'll say Gen Z and millennials, when it comes to coping with mental battles or spiritual warfare or mental warfare or things that we're going through, a lot of us go to fleshly things. A lot of people go to sleeping around to fill that void, to avoid um feeling certain things. A lot of people go to drinking, a lot of people going out, a lot of people doing drugs, a lot of people, and all of that is root to spiritual and mental welfare, that we are not going into prayer, but we are actually just going into avoidance to numb the pain, to numb the thing, to numb whatever we're feeling or what we're going through so that we don't feel it or we don't face it. And when we don't face it, we're literally conforming to the world. Especially as disciples of Christ, we cannot handle warfare or mental warfare through doing fleshly things like going and sleeping around or drinking or all these things. That's not how you confront these mental and spiritual warfare. What you have to do is they go into prayer, obviously, but then also going to transforming your mind. How do you transform your mind? It says, be transformed by the renewing of your mind. How do you renew your mind? Is through reading God's word. God renews your mind, God will speak. Prayer is not one way, prayer is also you communicating and God listening, and he will transform your mind, he will change your outlook. God speaks, guys. As God speaks, God speaks, and do not ever believe that he doesn't in seasons that look like this chaos. Get away from the chaos. Get away from the world. If you need to go into a fast to get away from it, get away. If you need to go into your prayer closet, do that. If you need to take a few days to just start reading the word, do that. And that renews your mind. Instead of coping in ways of the world where you just avoid and numb and do sex and drugs and alcohol and anger and bitterness and you know, I don't care about anyone, it's me, me, me. All of that is rooted from hurt or things that have not been dealt with. But when you deal with it with God, let him heal you, let him restore you, let him speak to you, let him transform your mind, let him strengthen you. Strength is found in him to get through the situation, to heal, to confront the trauma, and help ask him to help heal you, get through it. Right? Help him to help you, ask him to help you get through it. And you will see literally doing this, the enemy, the enemy wants you to do the things of the world so that you can fall in deeper into sin and you can fall further away from him. So at the end of the day, the spiritual warfare leading you to the fleshly worldly things will literally be him winning. And guys, we're not gonna let him win anymore. No, you need to win. Okay, it's time for you to win. And I want you to win in life over these mental battles, over these spiritual battles, over what the enemy does, because he sucks, guys. He sucks. What a liar, what a liar. Okay, he's such a liar. I'm sorry. My biggest up is not even people. Whenever the person is even doing mean things to me, I'm like, God, help me because I know the enemy is trying to test me. Now I'm gonna have to walk in the grace of Yeshua. Because no, no, no. I'm not gonna attack the person. No, no, no. We're going to pray about it and let God handle it, okay? Because the enemy is a liar. The enemy attacks through lies, through deception, through doubt, through condemnation, making you feel like, are you even worthy to walk with God because of your past? No, God knew. You know, Jesus died for our sins, knowing our past sins, our present sins, and even our future sins. But we need to not always sin and think, oh, grace is gonna cover me. No, you need to try your best, not to be perfect, but to always come back to the Lord when things you mess up, when you don't do things right. You know, come to him. He wants to be close to you. But the enemy, what he will want you to do is to be further away from God, to condemn you, so that you never receive eternal life. But no, eternal life has been given to you through Christ. Hold on to him through those seasons. The enemy's main battlefield is your mind. So in this mental health awareness mind month, I want you guys to be equipped for the battle, to not go into the battle not equipped. And that's why I have the offense and defense for this. Okay. So I'm quickly gonna go into it, and then um that will be the message. Um, but yeah. If we know that the enemy, if the enemy's battlefield, if the enemy, how do I say this? English, if the enemy's main battlefield is your mind, it's time for you to have offense and defense. It's time for you to win that battle. And how you can do this is number one, offense. Now, offense is before the battle. Offense is what you do daily, so that is reading your word daily. Uh-huh. Number two is like knowing your identity, constantly knowing who you are in Christ. You are fearfully and wonderfully made in Christ. You can do all things in Christ, that you are a child of God, okay? And you need to. You are a royal priesthood through Christ Jesus. Amen. That is your identity. So knowing your identity. Number three, to be on offense is worship, be in constant worship, play um gospel music, play Christian music, lift God's name in high. Praise praiseworthy. Praise. And then number four is consistent in prayer. Don't only pray when emergency happens. Pray daily. Thank you, Lord, for this day. Thank you, Lord, God. I get an opportunity to do you today, or something bad happened. Oh, in or not bad, or like something minor happened in your day. I'm like, talk to God about it. That's what I do. I'm like, God, man, this girl really irritated me today. But you know, I really hope that you teach me how to be patient with her because I really don't want to be an angry person. I really don't like being an angry person. You know, just being consistent in prayer, or being consistent, God, protect my family members before anything has happened. Give them health. Protect them when they're coming and they're going. Protect my car, Lord God. Wherever I travel to in the name of Yeshua, Lord God, I pray that this gas or this petrol may take me from to and from. Lord God, I pray that you continue to provide for me, you know, consistent in prayer. Like it doesn't need to be an emergency thing, but it keeps you on orphans that you are constantly daily, you know, in relationship with God, in Yeshua. You don't have to wait for there to be a war for you to fight, know how to fight. It's like training. It's like, why do we only like you have to be fit already? Every single day as you go into the ex every single day as you go to workouts, same thing. Every single day you gotta communicate with God, develop your relationship with God, right? You don't have to wait for there to be a war for you to learn how to fight. Learn how to fight now before there's no war. So be on offense. And then the second one is defense. Now, this is when the enemy is really trying to come at you, you know, this battle going on. So you gotta be on defense, and that is during that battle. During when the enemy is lying to you, all these thoughts, all these depression, fear. Because even 2 Timothy 1, verse 7 says, For God has not given us a spirit of fear, okay? He has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind. Meaning when fear comes, we gotta tap into our power and make sure we can be of sober mind, meaning taking those thoughts captive, taking them back and being like, this is not true, and making it obedient to God. Amen. Right? That's how you can be on sober mind, sound mind. And then, so yeah, how you do that in the defense when the enemy is trying to do that is number one, replace the lies with the truth of God's word. As I said earlier on, when he's trying to say something about you, replace it with what God says about you. That is whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is admirable, that is from God. Okay? Number two is not only replacing it in your thoughts, but actually speak it out loud. Start speaking scripture out loud. There is power when you speak scripture out loud. I think, especially in my own mental battle that I was talking about during that season, the one thing that really helped when I my mom gave me that scripture, uh, 2 Timothy 1 verse 7, I had to constantly, when I was in the psych wards, I had to constantly speak that. For God has not given me a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and sound mind. Out of my mouth, out of doing that, it helped those get me a sound mind. It helped me get through that day. It helped the enemy to go away from me and stop messing with me and stop like playing mind games games on my mind because I kept speaking it out loud. So speak scripture out loud. Don't just think it, don't just read it, speak it. There is power in your tongue. The Bible says there is power in your tongue. Amen. Number three is pray even when you don't feel like it. Guys, pray when you don't feel like it because the enemy wants to keep your mouth shut. If your mouth is shut, he's happy. Let's not make the enemy happy. Let's not make him happy. Pray. Pray even when you don't feel like it. And even the enemy is gonna try, you know, keep your mouth shut, but you gotta push through that because he cannot win. Okay, we're winning now. Amen. And number four is stay connected to godly community. This is important, important, important. And I say this because if it wasn't for my prayer, my mom's prayer group, I'll say my prayer group, if it wasn't for my mom, if it wasn't for my sister, if it wasn't for my cousins, praying for me during the season of mental warfare and spiritual warfare, I would not be here today. And I 100% believe that I will have still been lost in my mind, I still have would still would have been in bondage and strongholds. But because of godly community, they spoke life into me. They helped me through that season, and they recognize that they know that the enemy's tactics cannot have a hold on my life. So if you're going through a season of mental and spiritual warfare, do not isolate yourself. Get someone in your church, get someone in your church group or your small group and tell them what you're going for going through and allow them to pray for you because you you will overcome it as long as you hold on to Christ. Amen. And hold on to. We're never meant to do this life alone. Hold on to a community, be in a community, do not go alone with it. So go and speak up to someone if you're in the situation of mental and spiritual warfare, and you'll see just having people pray over you, help you through it, walk you through that season, God will be with you.
