Wheat futures settled with losses of 3-5 cents in most CBT and KC contracts, as MPLS was down 8 cents in the March futures contract. March KC wheat was 4% higher since Friday, with weakness in the later part of the week limiting gains. The pressure was felt from a stronger US dollar, up 523 points on the day. Analysts are expecting today’s Stats Canada report to show 23 MMT in all wheat stocks as of Dec 31, slightly lower than last year. Egypt bought 180,000 MT of Russian wheat.
