Sci-Fi Throwdown
Welcome to Sci-Fi Throwdown! At one time, the genre of science fiction was not considered serious literature, the stuff of mostly pulp magazines and mere entertainment. Readers of the genre will know this has not been the case for quite some time, and that there has been a surge in careful and critical analysis of science fiction developing for decades. As former philosophy students now involved in the corporate world, we hope to contribute to this trend by interpreting and analyzing work within the genre.

Join Nate and Chris as we take a much needed turn, discussing N.K. Jemisin's textual pocket full of awesomeness, Emergency Skin. Only delusions of TANSTAAFLing going on with this absolute gem of a novella/short story/novelette (the difference eludes me).
Emergency Skin is available on Amazon, and can be downloaded for free--we both highly recommend doing so.
