Stay tuned.

SPEAKER_03

Hey, day two, road trip. Uh with Carlos again. It's Jen. It's Jen. Carlos.

SPEAKER_02

What's happening?

SPEAKER_03

It's a late third today. Uh we woke up early, like at 7 a.m. You heard the noisy neighbors next door. I just messed out. Yes. That's noisy. I didn't hear that. Usually I wake up at night, but I still hear all that, though. I'm happy I got some night's rest. But right now it's about 12 o'clock. Do our clocks change from state to state? Now we left up at it. We're entering Arizona.

SPEAKER_02

Uh we're on the same time as Arizona right now. We're swimming for all the right now. We're at the same time.

SPEAKER_03

Okay, great. Anyway, we woke up and we did some handling. We were ahead. Like we were only down by a little bit. We won like a big jack on a slot machine so fun that we turned around and donated it again.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

And it was funny because my heart was so intentional to like, I'm gonna go take out $100 out of my savings account. I walked it all the way into your machine. Did that, and then um I thought I'm gonna win it back for Carlisle and surprise it. But no, that machine must do my butt too. But I had good intentions, that's why it felt so good to like give it away. You know what I mean? Like, it's so funny. I started thinking about that. And seriously, like when things are done with good intentions, it's fun like to spend money. Or you know what I mean? Whereas before, if it was just me walking in there, like trying to hit it, like I would have been like, oh, sick to my stomach, that was 100 bucks. I should have taken out, you know, beating myself up, but it was done with like the right heart and the right spirit that like I'm gonna surprise Carlos and went back as much. But it didn't happen, but I feel okay about it. Because like I said, it's my mindset and perspective.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, for sure.

SPEAKER_03

And I have a hundred bucks in my savings to do that. Like, I you know what I mean.

SPEAKER_02

I don't gamble all the time, but I do gamble and like I've learned that um I get into the mindset is be prepared to if you lose, understand that you can lose that money and not be tripping on it. A lot of people are like, oh, I gotta win, I gotta win a jackpot because my uh retirement is set on it. Squirrel.

SPEAKER_03

Hey, no, my listen, okay, Carlos. One thing to know about the 2500 we get is that my listeners know I'm all over the place. So we are driving along the 15. We've just entered Arizona.

SPEAKER_02

We're in the sprinterbounds, and I'm like trying to talk into the channels like, look over there. So if I look over there and then I'm gonna go like this, and you're not gonna be able to hear me because now I'm looking over here. And then I'll get back over here and start talking about it.

SPEAKER_03

But I don't want you to miss that view of that. Did you see that amazing thing?

SPEAKER_02

No, I missed it. It's because I was talking about it.

SPEAKER_03

I'm gonna turn around.

SPEAKER_02

No, you're not gonna turn around.

SPEAKER_03

Okay, but it was amazing. This part of the drive is gonna get really witty um because we're entering, like I said, Utah. But what you were saying about handling the mindset, as long as you know it's extra money that you can be that you can part with at the end of the day.

SPEAKER_02

At the end of the day, just yeah, because you're so comfortable with parting with the money, and if you lose, no big deal if you win, hey, that's a bonus.

SPEAKER_03

That's right.

SPEAKER_02

And I I I live by that, like when I go gamble, like I'm prepared to lose as much and not have it affect me at all.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, you just letting go. You're so good about that. Yeah. I I I respect that. I love that about you. I for myself, I just have a harder time letting go because like we're just in different situations we're just in different situations in life. But anyway, but my point, I guess, today was that I did it with this like pure heart, you know what I mean, and it's a joy to do that, and I'm okay. I feel so good about it because I tried. I didn't put my best. I sure did. But yeah, so much fun today. We had a cheap breakfast before we left in a cute little diner that's inside the hotel.

SPEAKER_02

We're having some fun.

SPEAKER_03

Oh, that was yeah, here we take a little bit.

SPEAKER_02

Because we put in the the um solar. We put in the solar, it's a 400-watt solar system, and um so when we're in California and Camarillo, the weather is really nice, it doesn't get too hot, so we have a refrigerator in here that doesn't need to stay on 24-7, it'll it'll turn on, it'll get to the right temperature that it needs to be in the parameters, and then it'll turn off, kind of like all refrigerators do. But in the heat, when we're out on the road, and in the summertime we're in states where it's over 100, the refrigerator tends to turn on more often because it needs to stay at a same cold temp. So it turns on more often, which is not giving the solar panels enough time to recharge the refrigerator. So we're falling a little bit behind the A-ball on that. And last night we fell pretty far behind where we had to plug in uh with shore power, which means just a regular outlet, into the uh sprinter band this morning to get it up to 100.

SPEAKER_03

And I want to try manually.

SPEAKER_02

Um we did that, everything's fine now, but we were able to talk to the SuperCon unit who gave us a pointer on connecting the motor the alternator from the engine to not uh to the auxiliary battery. It's already connected, obviously, to the engine battery, and that's what recharges the battery when you drive. That's what he charges the engine battery. But we have an auxiliary battery that is isolated from the alternator in the engine. So he said if we have if we can connect that auxiliary battery to the alternator of the engine, it'll also charge the battery. So whatever the power panels do, uh like whatever they can't charge, whatever they leave behind on the charging of the uh isolated battery, then the alternator will recharge that.

SPEAKER_03

If I forget the side note. So, about how we found out that our our lithium, I call it the lithium battery, because the lithium battery has nothing to do with the engine battery. So the lithium battery is what, as far as I know, charges the fridge and our outlets and things like that. Helps us to have power in here and lights and anyway. The reason we even found out about the lithium battery being drinking solo is because we decided to go for out for a walk because I left some baggies and some bills in the van overnight. Because I wasn't expecting to stay in a hotel right off the bat, so I just packed the spreader for the spreader, you know, for some lodging in here. Anyway, we went out earlier at like 9 a.m. to the van to get some baggies and whatnot. And then we realized I looked up and I was like, oh shoot, the battery drains like farther than it's ever drained. Because when I drive it as my daily at home, it's ever drained past 60 or 70. And even the guy that installed the solar panels is like, it's really bad for your lithium battery to get under 70, then you gotta charge it. So then I'm having a panic attack. So Carlos is on his phone, where can I go next? So he's like, There's a KWA in St. George, we can plug in there. And I'm like, no, I'm just gonna go ask a hotel manager if we can plug in somewhere here. And he had a campground on site in the back that I didn't even know about.

SPEAKER_05

She was like, Sure.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, like an RD park. And she was like, sure, just go roll in. It's not even busy over there. Just go roll in over there, plug in, choose any spot you'd like. And I'm like, Really? And she's like, absolutely. I was like, thank you, God universe. My God that I know that provides for me. And also by his grace or that grace, we we went out to the band three hours before we had to check out. It gave us enough time to charge 100%.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

And then, yeah, out there. And then the next thing, you know, everything just lines up the way it's supposed to line up. This kind of human's walking out of the bathroom, and I'm like, hey, is that your motor room? He's like, yeah. And I'm like, Do you have solar? Sure do. And I'm like, Can I pick your brain a minute? Because we're so new to all this. He's like, Yeah. Retired firefighter out of end, Oregon. He's the one that told us all that. Like Carlos said, the kind human shared with us about another way to improve this campaign life for us. Yeah. I just I just wanted to reiterate how the universe provides for all of us. We just have to look for these signs that we're well taken care of if we trust that like that's how things are gonna go down.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, because we have this huge RV and he has solar panels, and he has way more batteries than we do. But that's how he charges all of his batteries. Not only the engine, but all the auxiliary ones that power like his fridge, his lights, his pumps, all that stuff.

SPEAKER_03

And he told us, he goes, also, do you have a battery charger in there? And I'm like, Yeah, bought one at 50-50 bucks from Costco. A little handy dandy one that we charged before we even started this journey. And he's like, use it where you're lithium if you ever need to.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, I didn't even think about that.

unknown

Me either.

SPEAKER_03

He's like, use it.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_03

Wow, right? Yeah. We can use it at night. Totally, right? So I'm just telling you, like, you guys, like, if people don't believe in a higher power or the universe is like has stuff handed out for us, mapped out, I'm living for like my whole life story is that even though things have been weird or rough or we get hiccups along the way, that like things are really lined up for us. And I'm so stoked to share that today, that story and and my epiphany is spending a hundred bucks, $104 to charge it for our let out, all lined up for me. At the end of the day, it's my attitude, it's my spirit, it's all this kindness. I start the day with like who needs to see my love light and meet today, God. Show me. And maybe we isn't this beautiful we drive through. And maybe we are that light to another human too. We will be, you know, we'll just keep putting it out there. Okay, I'm gonna go because this rose game is swirly and beautiful. I want Carlos to see this, and I want him to take this in. I love you all. I love you, Carlos. Yeah, and we will keep in touch. Okay, so we made it to Utah. We're um hot springs. But as a side note, I learned something very valuable information for everyone out there. Um, if you're ever looking for a chase bank in Utah, good luck. Because we stopped at a little town called Hurricane, and I asked her the nearest chase maker, and the worker said to me, Wait, like, that's not a very popular bank around here. And I said, Oh, do you want to continue straight on to Utah? Do I at least find the nearest chase maker? Like, probably St. George, which is another town. So I said, Okay, thanks for letting me know. Well, Carlos is like, why? What's the problem with it? Carlos, take it away.

SPEAKER_02

Uh so I Googled it, and uh, I guess Jay Sloss's accounts for what was it? Religious reasons. Religious reasons?

SPEAKER_03

I've never heard of a bigger one.

SPEAKER_02

I've never heard of that. Uh so yeah, apparently uh Jen touched the nerve. And if uh we have listeners from Utah, I'm super sorry we didn't know uh that uh it's not a popular bank around here, but I just wanted to get some cash. We just wanted to get some cash.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, but it was no big deal. I'm just letting you all know that like it really touches a nerve, and I felt like I might have been lynched if I would have mentioned it again. So yeah, but they do have the latest message.

SPEAKER_02

If you're not from Utah, you bank with Chase, just kind of keep that on the down low. And don't look at my listeners from Utah, we apologize for uh banking with chase.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, well the listeners from Utah. It's just no, I'm not because I mean it's not up to them about the chase issue. You know what I'm saying? They didn't choose to live here and know that. I'm just educating people, but it was weird. I've never had that happen before. Like I didn't know that was even a thing about things. People being preaching things. Oh, yeah, you were worried about that. So when we walked into this carless is like my Navajo necklace. Yeah, the necklace I thought you were headed from the Navajo Nation, and it was handmade for you and I had to grab it because he was worried being brown walking into this all white facility, but I was like, I'm worried about being white bringing my brown boyfriend in there. I'm the one that's gonna get lynched again. No, it was nothing like that.

SPEAKER_02

He was such a interesting he was one of the workers at the facility, and he was so kind. Yeah, we should so helpful. He had a lot of knowledge about the facility, a lot of knowledge about PLAs, and a lot of knowledge about what uh if you're outdoors and what you could do uh for like hiking around this area. So they're time humans.

SPEAKER_03

Oh, absolutely.

SPEAKER_02

The city of hurricanes.

SPEAKER_03

I did not mean to touch an earth with them, just asking about Chase. I just wanted to get a little cash for my wallet, no big deal. I'll hit up a chase in Colorado. We'll have to chat GPT that. Is do they have meat with Chase?

unknown

Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

Thanks for listening, we'll keep you updated.

SPEAKER_02

Okay, bye.

SPEAKER_04

Okay, so now we're sitting in rotten egg smelling sulfur. Relaxing, I was being funny.

SPEAKER_01

Natural hotel, one eighty yesterday. Today was more like uh chill day. We were trying to go yesterday, but hot tubs super tiny, and there was like four people already in there, and it was just like that was pictures. It's like described. It's like beautiful.

SPEAKER_04

And then you can shower afterwards and they supply like so and Zion Canyon hot springs, guests.

SPEAKER_00

The time has come for maroon response to exit the pools and proceed to the locker rooms. We are maroon response. It's now time to exit the pools and proceed to the locker rooms. I hope that you've enjoyed your time with us today. Thank you. See, they're so polite.

SPEAKER_01

We are white response another hour and we did it three hours. So it's really cool. We have a lot of different um different pools here. They have gravel bottoms. That's how you can do distinction between them and the regular pools that they have here. But the regular pools look like uh you know, like what they do is they infuse the water with like calcium calcium chloride stuff like that for your skin. Healing healing factors and their own temperatures. Like one oh four, one oh two, like eighty five.

SPEAKER_04

And I like the feel of the ground. It's not it's not like what you think about flying on actual natural feelings.

SPEAKER_01

We're talking about the two, like if you want to build home, I want to need to give it that like and let it grow to hold the gravel.

SPEAKER_04

I think that would be fun because algae probably is filled with that one stuff. That's what I'm saying. See now you're on board an algae. All right, then it would be better for us. Maybe we just unlock like the secretary algae. Yeah, very nice. So tomorrow we're off to Rice Canyon, uh via Zion.

SPEAKER_01

There's a road that connects Zion to Bryce.

SPEAKER_04

I think we saw the outside of Zion today, right? When we were driving, we had to open up too.

SPEAKER_01

This is also unscheduled stop number three.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Oh wait, maybe it's four. Everything else before and after is just kind of like where the wind takes us. And uh meeting a lot of kind, cool people along the way.

SPEAKER_04

Showing us, telling us, helping us. Yeah, because we had another little band snap who with the cork. Nothing crazy, but just we're trying to figure it out. But Carlos is on to something with the core.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, we've got to figure it out.

SPEAKER_04

Yep.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, I think the destroying more power than the uh power can uh provide, but that's another story. That's a tale for another day.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, now it's time to go back to Max and Jackson.
