Patrick Muhammad

Patrick S. Muhammad, was born and raised in East St. Louis, IL, in June of 1975 to Robert W. Smoot, Jr. and M. Catherine Smoot. Patrick’s siblings, Deidra Denise Smoot- Green and Robyn Kaye Smoot (1999), all excelled in academics and athletics.

His upbringing in E. St. Louis, Illinois also known as “East Boogie” is where Patrick attributes his tenacity and wherewithal. Under the tutelage of legendary coach Bennie Lewis, Patrick’s basketball talents landed him a scholarship to Kentucky State University and a ticket out of East Boogie.
