Good morning, everyone! Welcome to another episode of the EBC’s Prayer Podcast. Today is November 21, the 325th day of the year—a perfect reminder of the many blessings we have experienced thus far and the opportunities still ahead.

I’m your host, Dr. Victoria Haddad, the First Lady and Prayer Leader at the Elyon Bible Church Apostolic in Salem, NJ. It’s an honor to journey together with each of you in prayer.

As we continue our series on prayer inspired by the 66 books of the Bible, today we will focus on a powerful verse that speaks to the heart of our relationship with God. Our scripture today will be taken from Hebrews 4:16, which reads: “Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.”

God is reminding us of the incredible access we have in his grace and mercy. He encourages us to approach Him with confidence, for He is always ready to offer support and comfort in our moments of need.

As we pray, let us open our hearts to the Lord and seek his guidance and strength in our lives.

Let’s pray

Dear Heavenly Father. Our Almighty God and Sovereign Ruler. Father, we come before you with grateful hearts, cherishing the gift of prayer.

Your Word is reminding us to “come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.”

Lord, what a privilege it is to know that you are inviting us into your presence—not fearfully, not unwillingly—but boldly, and with confidence.

Lord, as we approach your magnificent throne. Help us to give you thanks for opening the way, come boldly unto the throne of grace.

Through you, Jesus Christ, our High Priest, who understands every weakness we carry, every burden we bear, and every wound we hide. Open that door for us.

Father, help us to hold onto your promises and not give up on you. There are times when our hearts hesitate to approach you. Shame, guilt, fear, and doubt make us feel that we are unworthy.

But your word, Lord, is encouraging us. Declaring that at the throne of grace, we do not find condemnation; instead, in you, we find mercy, for you are a merciful God, who always pardons and forgives us even when we are not worthy.

Lord, your mercy lifts us when we fall, cleanses us when we sin, and restores us when we are broken. Your grace is not scarce or limited, but abundant, overflowing, and sufficient for each and every one of us. No matter what we are facing.

Lord, today, we are bringing our needs boldly before you. We need help to fully trust you, we need help to fully surrender to you, and we need help to become the children of God you destined us to become.

Lord, remember all those who are weary, who feel like the weight of life is too much to bear. Wrap your arms around us and shower us with your peace.

Remove anxious hearts that are wrestling with uncertainty and give us the assurance to believe that you hold the future and nothing is impossible.

Father, have mercy on us. May mercy be on those who are walking through grief, comfort them, and remind them that you are near to the brokenhearted.

For those who feel distant from you, let your grace draw them close, assuring them that nothing can separate them from your love.

The love of Christ goes far beyond what we can comprehend.

Lord, we are also lifting our families before you. Move mightily in the lives of our families. You see the need raging in our families. Some are physically sick, some are spiritually sick, some are financially sick, some are addicted to drugs, some are addicted to alcohol, some are addicted to sexuality, some are hurting in the home, some are hurting on the job, some are hurting in the communities, some are hurting in the churches. Lord, we are crying for their deliverance, deliverance in our country, deliverance in the nation, and deliverance all around the world.

Father, where there is division, pour out your grace. Where there is anger, pour out your mercy. Where there is fear, pour out your boldness. Not a boldness rooted in our own strength, but anchored in you.

Lord, teach us how to become vessels of mercy, how to reflect compassion, how to speak with kind words, how to forgive, and how to love unconditionally.

Lord Jesus, we are pouring our hearts out to you because when you walked on earth, you faced trials of every kind. You understand what is taking place in the lives of all your believers.

When the enemy accuses us, remind us of your mercy on the cross. For your strength is made perfect in our weakness, and your grace will always carry us through.

Father, help us to hold fast to your promises and never let go of your blessings.

Help us in every moment, and forgive anyone who wronged us.

Give us the courage to live as people of God, people who have been touched by mercy, transformed by grace, and sustained by hope.

Lord, as we close this prayer. Give us grace to trust when we cannot see the way forward, grace to stand firm in trials, and grace to love even when it costs us more than what we plan for.

Thank you for never turning away from us, never growing weary when hearing our cries for help, and never withholding your grace in our time of need.

May we leave this moment with renewed confidence—not in ourselves, but in our God who is rich in mercy and abundant in love.

Lord, we pray these things in the matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Savior and our Redeemer. Amen.

Everyone. Keep on praying, keep on trusting God. Have a great day, and by God’s grace, we will pray again tomorrow. Bye-bye.
