Dec 16. Day 350 - God is always Faithful, Justify, and Forgiving. 1 John 1:9
“If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” (1 John 1:9)
Welcome to another daily prayer. God is always faithful. When you pray and confess your sins, you will find forgiveness. Prayer does make a difference. If we acknowledge and confess our wrongdoings, He remains faithful and just, offering us forgiveness and purifying us from all forms of unrighteousness. This promise assures us that no matter how far we stray, we can always return and find grace in His unwavering compassion.
Good morning, everyone. I want to welcome each and every one of you to another episode of our EBC Prayer Podcast. I hope your day is off to a great start.
Remember, I am your host, Dr. Victoria Haddad, the First Lady and Co-Pastor of the Elyon Bible Church Apostolic in New Jersey. God is so good to us. We can worship Him, praise Him, honor Him, and give Him glory, for this is not a day that He has made.
Our scripture will be taken from 1 John 1:9, and it reads, “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”
God is a wonderful savior who wants to do so much for us. He is a great God. He is faithful, He is just, He is forgiven, and He wants to cleanse us from all unrighteousness, all unholiness.
So, let’s pray
Dear Heavenly Father. Lord, we thank you for another day. We thank you for your love. We thank you for your faithfulness. We thank you for your assurance. We thank you, Lord God, for another day and another moment to pray. We thank you for not giving up on us, Lord. Oh God, and help us not to give up on you, because you have always been good to us.
Lord, thank you for reminding us that if we confess our sins, you are faithful and you are just, and you will forgive us of our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. Thank you, God, for the reassurance today. Thank you for the hope. Thank you for the joy. Thank you for the patience that you have with us. Thank you for forgiving us.
Lord, we acknowledge that at times we are imperfect. At times, we fall short. But thank you for reassuring us. That you are a faithful, loving, and caring God. And we have to confess our sins. For you will forgive us, and you will cleanse us from everything that is not right.
Lord, we can't do it without you. We need your help and your guidance. And thank you, Lord God, purge us. Lord God, you know everything that we are doing that is not right. You know everything we are saying that's not pleasing you.
Oh, God, help us to focus on you because you are a holy God. Lord, we are praying and confessing our sins to you. Oh, God, everything that we have done and said that was not pleasing God, we are asking for your forgiveness.
We are repenting for the way we have done things, what we have said, everything that we know, and even things that we don't know that we have done wrong. We are praying for your forgiveness. Purge us, God, Wash us, God, and Cleanse us, God.
Lord God, help us not to give up on you because you have not given up on us. Wash us and remove every ungodly thought, action, and behavior that drives us away from you.
Help us to return, God, to truth. Return to holiness. Return to godliness, Lord, God, so we can grow and become more and more like you.
Thank you for your cleansing power. Thank you for your forgiveness, God. Thank you for your reassurance, God.
Oh, God, for all that you have done for us is more than we can ever comprehend or understand.
Lord, we know we are here today because of your forgiveness, because of your love for us, because of all that you have done for us is why we are here today.
So, Lord, help us to turn away from every sin. Help us to turn towards you. Help us to live a life that's pleasing to you. Help us to sacrifice God so that your will can be accomplished in our lives.
Lord, we thank you for the blood that you shed on Calvary. We thank you, Lord God, for giving us all our lives. You have always been there, forgiving and helping us.
Lord God, help us to turn away from things that are not pleasing to you and draw closer to you. Oh, Father God, help us, Lord God, to remember that we are justified by faith. Remember that you have redeemed us, Lord. Remember that you have saved us, God, because you are a gracious God. A gift of grace you have given us each and every day.
Help us, Lord God, also to forgive others and to show mercy and love to everyone we encounter because you have been loving and caring for us.
Lord, may our lives be a reflection of your forgiveness. May our lives draw others to you, God. Help us to become that invitation of you, God, that will draw others to you, that will not give up on you, will not remain in sin, will not do things that are not pleasing to you. But help us, Lord God, to see the transformation of God take place in our lives and transform others to you. Help us to get closer to you each and every day.
And Lord, we thank you for this day. We thank you for waking us up with a desire and a mind and a heart to pray as we go through this day.
