Nov 24. Day 328 - Cast Not Away Your Confidence. Hebrews 10:35-36*
“Cast not away your confidence, which hath great recompense of reward. For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise.” (Hebrews 10:35-36)
Keep on praying. God has wonderful blessings in store for you.
Do not abandon your confidence, for it carries with it the promise of significant rewards. Remember, patience is essential; it allows us to persevere through challenges. After we have faithfully fulfilled the will of God in our lives, we open ourselves to receiving the blessings that are promised to us.
Good morning, everyone. I hope your day is off to a great start. I want to welcome each and every one of you to another episode of our EBC Prayer Podcast.
Remember, I am your host. I am Dr. Victoria Haddad, the First Lady and Co-Pastor of Elyon Bible Church Apostolic in New Jersey.
Today, we can join with the songwriter that we want to be a sanctuary, pure and holy, tried and true.
With God, we can become the people of God that He has destined us to become. That's what God wants us to have confidence in Him and pray with assurance and trust Him.
so He's reminding us of all the greatness He has in store for us.
Our scripture today will be taken from Hebrews 10:35-36.
And it reads, “Cast not away, therefore, your confidence, which ye have great recompense of reward. For he has need of patience, that after he has done the will of God, he might receive the promise.”
Today, the Lord is reminding us not to cast away the confidence we have in him.
Keep being confident. Keep on being confident. Keep on trusting God. Keep on depending on God. Because he has great reward and recompense for us, and we will receive the promises of God if we continue to have confidence in him.
So, let us pray.
Father, our Holy God, our Righteous God, the God who has a great reward for us, a God who loves us more than we love ourselves, our Gracious Savior.
Lord, we thank you for another privilege to pray, another privilege to call on your holy name, another privilege to surrender to you.
Help us, Lord, not to give up on you. We need to believe you because you have great recompense for those who and great reward for each and every one of us.
You want us to be patient, you want us to trust you. At times, we get discouraged, at times, we get impatient, because we want to see effects accomplished in our lives, in a timely manner.
God, you want us to be patient and remember that we serve a God who can do more for us than we can do for ourselves. You want us to remember we serve a Holy God, a Righteous God, a mighty God, a powerful God, a God who has great reward for each and every one of us, a God who will never give up on us, because his desire is to bless us. His desire is to allow us to prosper.
And so God, we thank you for reminding us that no weapon that forms against us will prosper because of the love that you have for us. So help us to pray with assurance. Help us not to give up on you. Strengthen us because we need to persevere. We need to hold on to you. Even when the road of life gets difficult, even when the challenges of life are unclear and we're not too sure the direction that life is taking us, you are reminding us that we need to trust you, depend upon you, serve you wholeheartedly, so your will can be accomplished in our lives.
So, Lord God, we want your promises to be stored in our lives. We want to grow and to become more like you. We want to be more patient.
We want to depend upon you. We want to trust you. We want to surrender to you.
So, Savior, we are praying today and thanking you for reminding us that we just need to trust you and have more confident in the God in whom we serve, to be more patient, to be more understanding, to be more holy because you are holy, to be more trustful and worthy of the praise and the call that we are placing on you because you are worthy.
Lord, we are here today and asking you, God, to help us to totally surrender to you. Help us Lord God not to get cumbersome with the cares of this life, but to find confident in the God that we serve, the God who will never leave us, never forsake us, never give up on us, the God who is patient, and want us to also become patient, the God who promised to take care of us, if we surrender and trust him, he will do the great things in our lives.
So Lord, we want to receive the promises of God, we want to receive the blessings of God, we want to grow.
and so God cover us under the blood, keep us safe as we go through this day, cover everyone who are listening to this podcast under your blood, help us not to give up on you, not to stop praying, not to stop trusting the God in which we serve, but help us to be holy, because you are holy, help us to understand that the power of God passes all understanding, that you will lead and guide us into the way you want us to go.
Help us, Lord God, to remember that you are our sanctuary, you are our Savior, you are our God, you are a restorer of life.
And God, thank you for reminding us to keep on praying. Thank you for reminding us to keep on trusting you. Thank you for reminding us that we do not need to get rid of God, but the confidence we need to have in you. We need to keep on trusting you, keep on believing you, keep on taking you at your word.
Lord God, help us to remember that we serve a mighty, holy, powerful, and wonderful God who can do more for us than we can do for ourselves.
And so we thank you for this day. Thank you for another moment to pray.
Lord God, help us to remember that we serve a mighty, holy, powerful, and wonderful God who can do more for us than we can do for ourselves. And so we thank you for this day. Thank you for another moment to pray.
Help us to be tried and help us to come out truthful, come out holy, and come out right. In your wonderful name we pray. Thank you, Lord.
I want to encourage everyone who is listening to this podcast. Keep on believing God. Keep on trusting God.
And you have a wonderful day. Bye bye.
