June 22 – Day 173. The Lord is in our presence

Welcome to another episode of the EBC’s Prayer Podcast. Our scripture will be taken from Zephaniah 3:17, and it reads: “Lord, your God in your midst, The Mighty One, will save; He will rejoice over you with gladness; he will quiet you with His love; he will rejoice over you with singing.” 

Keep on praying. God, our mighty Savior, is reminding us that he is in our midst. He is a powerful and mighty Savior who is dedicated to saving us. With boundless joy, He will shower us with gladness that will fill our hearts. 

As we pray, let us remember that the Lord will bring us peace and surround us with comfort. As if singing a heartfelt melody just for us, He will express His delight in our journey, rejoicing over us as a proud parent cherishes their beloved child.

Dear Heavenly Father. Our Lord, God, and Savior. Father, we come before you with our hearts full of gratitude and humility. Thank you for the precious gift of prayer, this sacred opportunity to connect with you, to lay our burdens at your feet, and to rest in your presence. You are our Lord, the steadfast companion who walks alongside us through every trial, never leaving, never forsaking, and always faithful.

Lord, we are deeply grateful for your reassurance that “The Lord our God is in our midst, The Mighty One, will save; He will rejoice over us with gladness; He will quiet us with His love; He will rejoice over us with singing.” 

Father, thank you for the promise that goes beyond mere salvation; you delight in us, rejoicing over us with joy and tranquility. In the midst of our storms, you are calming our hearts, soothing our anxious minds, and tenderly reminding us that we are never alone in this journey.

Father, today we are lifting our voices in joyful celebration and deep gratitude. We delight in your presence, for you have compassionately removed judgment and replaced it with boundless mercy and grace. You have washed away our condemnation and surrounded us in a robe of forgiveness. Where there was despair, you have filled our lives with radiant songs of gladness. You are our unwavering hope when the days seem covered in uncertainty, the spring of our happiness when joy feels like a distant memory, and our source of peace when the tumultuous waves of life crash around us.

Lord, we acknowledge that there will be moments when we might feel a gulf between us and your love. At times, the heavy burden of disappointment, our past failures, and the weight of unanswered prayers can hide the warmth of your nearness. But today, we are praying and seeking your embrace once more. Wrap us in the arms of your unwavering love and help us to feel your Spirit breathing hope back into our souls.

Father, grant us the strength to surrender the disappointments we’ve carried far too long, the weight of unanswered prayers, the dreams that seemed just out of reach, and the losses that shattered our hearts. Protect us from the struggles and distractions that threaten to pull us away from you. Remind us that you are always by our side. When we feel weak, you are our strength. When we are surrounded by uncertainty, you are our beacon of certainty.

Father, let your peace cover us, settling deep within our hearts like a gentle dawn breaking over the horizon. Calm the overwhelming noise of the world that stirs up fear, anxiety, and doubt within us. Infuse our souls with the warmth of your spirit, a soothing relief that quiets our minds. May your love be the musical beat that guides our steps, and the uplifting melody that raises our spirits each day, reminding us of your unending grace.

Lord, we are lifting our families, friends, neighbors, and all those who are suffering, feeling isolated, or searching for hope. Help us to feel the comforting support of your presence surrounding us each day. Let your radiant light shine through our actions, lighting the path for others to see your goodness reflected in our lives. Lord, teach us, when we pray, to extend grace and compassion to those around us, especially to those in need. Help us to express our heartfelt gratitude for every blessing we receive. Thank you for the precious gift of life, for our health, for the provision that sustains us, and for the beauty of your creation that amazes our perceptions. Help us to never take these gifts for granted. Instead, help us to embrace each day with an overflowing spirit of thanksgiving, recognizing your hand in all that we are and have.

Lord, grant us the strength to trust in your divine timing and your perfect plans, even when the path is uncertain. Help us to rejoice in the knowledge that you walk beside us, that you are strongly for us, and that your love for us is eternal, never faltering, and always steadfast.
