Jan 24 - Day 24– The Lord is our God. Ruth 1:16.

“And Ruth said, Intreat me not to leave thee, or to return from following after thee: for whither thou goest, I will go; and where thou lodgest, I will lodge: thy people shall be my people, and thy God my God.” (Ruth 1:16)

Welcome to another daily prayer. Keep on praying. Your prayers make a difference. Stay committed to serving the Lord and keep following Him without turning back. Ruth turned to her mother-in-law with deep emotion and said, "Please, do not urge me to leave you or to turn back from following you. Wherever you go, I will go; and wherever you stay, I will stay. Your people will become my people, and your God will be my God. I am committed to you and will walk beside you through every step of our journey together.

Good morning, everyone. Welcome each and every one of you to another episode of our EBC Prayer Podcast. We thank God for another day, and we thank him for all His grace and mercy towards us. Remember, I am your host. I am Dr. Victoria Haddad, the First Lady and Prayer Warrior of Elyon Bible Church Apostolic in New Jersey.

Today, we can surrender to God because of all that God wants to do for us. If we surrender to Him, we will see the will of God take place in our lives. 

Our scripture today will be taken from Ruth 1:16, and it reads, “And Ruth said, Intreat me not to leave thee, or to return from following after thee: for whither thou goest, I will go; and where thou lodgest, I will lodge: thy people shall be my people, and thy God my God.” 

Today, we are encouraging everyone to pray. Pray to our mighty Savior. He's entreating us. He's reminding us that He will not leave us, but where we go, He will go. 

He's encouraging us to say the same statement. Stand firm in the Lord. Don't leave the Lord so that God will can be accomplished in our lives.

So, let’s pray. 

Father, we thank you for this day. We thank you for your grace, your mercy, and your love. We thank you, Father, for not giving up on us, and for reminding us that you are a wonderful Savior, you are a great God, you are a powerful Redeemer. 

Lord, we are giving you thanks for this day, and we are praising your holy name, because you are wonderful. 

Lord God, your love is unconditional, and your mercy towards us is great.

Father, we can join with the songwriter. We can't even walk without you holding our hands. We are here today because of your grace and your love towards us. We are here today because of your mighty power in our lives. 

God, thank you for entreating us not to leave you, for entreating us not to give up on the things of God, not to give up on religion, not to give up on righteousness, not to give up on holiness, but help us to serve you unconditionally, to love you with all our heart, to lean not to our own understanding. In all our ways, God helps us to pray, surrender, and acknowledge you so you can direct our path.

We want to be used by you. We want to become the people you want us to become. We want you to lead and guide us each day.

So help us, Lord, not to give up on you. Help us to follow you wholeheartedly. Help us to surrender to you, Lord. So, your will can be done in our lives. 

Oh, God, that we can't even walk without you holding our hands. We know, God, the issues of life can be great at times. The difficulties can be overwhelming. But Lord, we are surrendering to you and asking for your guidance. Thank you for leading us. Thank you for protecting us. Thank you for caring for us. 

You are our great God. And the great things you have in store for us are more than we could ever have thought or think of because of the love you have for us. So, Lord, we are praying for your protection. And God, we are surrendering to your will so that your will can be accomplished in our lives.

We want Lord God to be anchored in you, no matter what the challenges of this life bring our way. Oh God, no matter how uncertain we are of the result of life, help us to demonstrate our love to you and surrender to you because you call us to be people of God. And like the songwriter, we can't even walk without you holding in our hands. We can't become fully what we want to become unless we fully surrender to you, fully trust you. Allow your power to take control of our lives. Allow your power to move in our lives. Allow your will to be done so we can see your will take place in our lives.

Father, you are our leader. You are our counselor. Help us, Lord God, to be great leaders for you, to know how to lead what you desire for us to lead. And so today, God, we are praying for all of our leaders on this earth, that your power will cover each and every one of us under the blood. We're praying for our communities, God. We're praying for everyone who is listening to this prayer podcast.

Everyone who is praying, God, we are surrendering to you. And we're asking for your will to accomplish us. 

Lord, we are joining like Ruth. And Ruth said, Treat me not to leave thee. Lord, today we are asking you, God, help us never to leave you. Help us never to return from following after you. Help us never to return to the things of unrighteousness, the things that are not holy, the things that are not pure. But help us to always gravitate to you, always pray, always seek you. 

Oh, Father God, when Ruth was talking, she said, Where you go, I will go. Today, God help us to depend upon you, because we know that wherever we go, your presence is with us. And wherever we lodge, you are lodging with us, because God, you want to be with us. You want us to fully serve you, to become the people of God, who will fully surrender to you, our leader, and be led by your direction.

God, we are praying that we will lodge. And remember that you are lodging where we are lodging, that you are with us. 

Lord, thank you for reminding us that our people can be your people, will be your people, because you are God, and you will never fail.

Father God, thank you for helping us to pray today. Lord, help us to remember that we can do all things through Christ, who strengthens us, that you, Lord God, can truly be our God. You can truly be what we desire for you to be if we fully surrender to you.

Oh, God, we can't do anything without your guidance and direction. We don't know what this day has in store. But God, we are praying for your power. We are praying for your might. We are praying for your direction. We are praying for your will to take place in our lives.

Cover us under your blood, our family under your blood. Everyone who is listening to this podcast, cover under your blood. And as we go through this day, God, let it not be of us, but of you, because we serve a holy, mighty, and wonderful God who deserves all the glory, all the praise, and all the honor.
