“O LORD God of Israel, thou art righteous: for we remain yet escaped, as it is this day: behold, we are before thee in our trespasses: for we cannot stand before thee because of this.” (Ezra 9:15)

Welcome to another daily prayer. Keep on praying. Give God thanks every day for His righteousness towards us. O God of Israel, you who are full of righteousness and justice, we come before You in acknowledgment of our unworthiness. We recognize that despite our transgressions, we have managed to escape judgment and stand here today, humbled in Your presence. Behold, Lord, we lay bare our sins before You, for we know that we cannot endure Your holy gaze because of the weight of our iniquities. We plead for Your mercy and forgiveness, understanding that it is only by Your grace that we find ourselves here.

Good morning, everyone. Welcome to another episode of our EBC Prayer Podcast. I am your host, I am Dr. Victoria Haddad, the First Lady and Co-Pastor of Elyon Bible Church Apostolic in Salem, New Jersey.

God has been so good to us. We are not the same because God has been good to us.

Today is the 38th day of the year, February 7th, and we are still praising God and still reaching out to him because he has given us another day to celebrate his goodness.

Our podcast will be focusing on all of the wonderful things that God has in store for us because he's a righteous God, and we can have hope in him. We can rejoice and celebrate this day with the Lord.

Our scripture will be taken from Ezra 9:15, and it reads, “O LORD God of Israel, thou art righteous: for we remain yet escaped, as it is this day: behold, we are before thee in our trespasses: for we cannot stand before thee because of this.”
Today, let's pray and ask God for help. We know that at times we face challenges, difficulties, and sometimes we make bad choices, but God is reminding us that He is a righteous God, and we can surrender to Him for guidance.

So let us pray.

Father, we thank you for this day. We thank you for reminding us that you are our God, our Savior, and our Redeemer. There's no God like you because you are a righteous Father, you are an everlasting Father, and most of all with you, all things are possible.

Lord God, help us not to wonder or drift away from you. Help us, Father God, not to make bad choices that will create issues in our lives and in our relationship with you.

Lord, we are asking you to forgive us, to cleanse us, to wash us, to forgive us of every choice, every action, every behavior, everything we have done and said that was not pleasing to you. Help us to remember that all of our hope is in you, and thank you for this new day that you have made, that we are able to wake up with a desire to pray.

Lord God, you have forgiven all of our sins. You have washed us. You have purged us. Because of you, we are here today. So, help us, Lord, not to give up on you. Thank you for reminding us that you are a righteous God. Thank you for reminding us that you are a Holy Savior. Thank you, Lord God, for reminding us that we need to focus on you and what you have done for us, because you are mighty.

God, you don't want us to trespass against you. You don't want us to get caught up in sinful desire, sinful nature, or doing things that are not pleasing to you.

God, you do not want us to continue on the path of unrighteousness. You want us to have hope in you, to trust you, to believe that you can intervene in our lives and provide a way of escaping difficulties that will come our way.

God, thank you for providing ways that will transform us and remind us of the love that you have for us. God, we are praying today for everyone who is listening to this prayer podcast and everyone who is seeking your direction. Help us, Lord God, to make good choices that are pleasing to you. Help us to remember how righteous, how holy, and how wonderful you are. Remove every challenge in our lives that will distract us from you.

Remove every issue of disappointment and discouragement from our lives that will distract us from you. Remove every decision that causes bad choices, remove it from us, God, and help us to be righteous, to pray, and to earnestly seek you.

Lord, bring us to the place you desire for us to be. Help us, Lord God, to forgive others, because you have forgiven us. Help us grow closer to you, so we can become the people you have destined us to become.

You are a righteous God. You don't want to dwell in sin, you don't want to dwell in ungodliness, and you desire for us to be righteous and not dwell in ungodliness. So, help us to be gracious each day, to be thankful for your mercies each day, because you deserve all the praise and the honor and the glory that is due unto you.

God, help us to acknowledge who you truly are and what you can truly do for us and what you have already done for us so that we can do the right thing. Help us to become more like you. Remove every unrighteousness out of our heart, our mind, and our soul.

Help us, Lord God, to forgive others, to grow, and to become more like you. Oh, Father God, all of our hope can be found in you and all that you have done for us.

We can praise you and give you thanks and focus on you and not on the things of this world. In your mighty, holy, and wonderful name we pray…Amen.

Thank you, Lord, and thank you to each and every one of you. Thank you for listening to this podcast. Please have a wonderful day.
