“I waited patiently for the Lord, And He inclined to me and heard my cry. He also brought me up out of a horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my goings.” (Psalm 40:1-2)
Welcome to another daily prayer. Prayer works. The Lord will ultimately guide you toward a place of stability and ensure that you find solid ground even in turbulent times. “I waited patiently for the Lord during a time of deep uncertainty and struggle, fully trusting in His timing and guidance. In His faithfulness, He inclined His ear to me and heard my cries for help. He reached down into my despair, lifting me out of a dreadful pit where I felt trapped and lost, surrounded by the sinking, unstable ground of my challenges. With His powerful hand, He set my feet upon solid rock, granting me stability and direction once more. In that moment, He established my path, giving me a renewed sense of purpose and hope for the journey ahead.”
Good morning, everyone. Welcome to another episode of our EBC Prayer Podcast. I hope your day is off to a great start. God's grace and mercy are surrounding us today. God has done and will continue to do great things in our lives because He's a wonderful God.
I am your host. I am Dr. Victoria Haddad, the First Lady and Co-Pastor of Elyon Bible Church Apostolic in New Jersey. God is good, and we can thank Him, praise Him, and glorify Him as we go through this day.
Today is March 9th, the 68th Day of the Year, and God is still blessing us. He is still a wonderful God. So, we are going to pray with assurance.
Our scripture will be taken from Psalm 40:1-2, and it reads, “I waited patiently for the Lord, and He inclined to me and heard my cry. He also brought me up out of a horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my goings.”
God is establishing our going, no matter what life is throwing our way. So, let us pray and surrender to the Lord, and let His will be accomplished in our lives.
Let’s pray.
Father, thank you for this day, thank you for your grace and your mercy, thank you for your loving kindness, and thank you for being our Savior, our Lord, our God, and our Redeemer. You are the one who sacrificed for us. The one who went to Calvary and gave your life for us.
Lord, we thank you for reminding us today that we can wait patiently on you. No matter what difficulties life throws our way, we can thank you, we can praise you, we can surrender to you, and we can let your will be accomplished in our lives because you are a good God. A God who will never give up on us. Because your grace and your mercy have brought us through and have brought us this far.
God, thank you for the desire to pray today. As we go through this day, we don't know what this day has in store. But God, we are hoping for the best day ever. We are praying for your guidance, we are praying for your protection, and we are praying for your will to be accomplished in our lives.
Father, forgive us of every thought and action, every oppression, every depression, everything that distracts us from you. Forgive us, God, and help us to pray and surrender to you, and give you thanks, so your will can be accomplished in our lives.
Lord God, you say, we should wait patiently on you, our Lord. Lord God, at times we are not waiting patiently, at times we're not surrendering fully to you, at times, Lord God, we get consumed with the issues of this life. But God, we are praying for your patience today.
Help us to wait patiently for you. Help us to fully surrender to you. Help us not to choose things ahead of you, but let your will be accomplished in our lives. It's not your will, God, for any of us to perish, but it's your will, God, for all of us to make heaven our home. And so, Lord God, help us to wait patiently for you, because you are reminding us that you will incline toward us. You will hear our cry. You see our heart's desire. You see the issues of this life. You know everything that is taking place around us.
Lord, God, help us to remember that you are not distant from us, but you are right here, listening, hearing our cry, and you say you have brought us up out of the marred clay.
Lord God, You will remove us from our horrible pit. The difficulties in life, the sadness, the oppression, the sickness, the disappointment, whatever life is throwing at us, you say you are God, who will lift us and bring us out of those horrible pits, out of that marred clay. Because your desire is to uplift us so we can grow spiritually in you. Your desire is to help us become more like you.
God, you are promising that you will set our feet upon your solid rock. Because no foundation is as strong as you. No one is as powerful as you. Nothing can compare to you. You know the plans you have for us. So, purge our thoughts, purge our actions, purge our desires, set our affection on things above, and not on the things of this earth.
Whatever is coming our way will bring pain and sadness to our hearts. God, help us to surrender to you so you can intervene and break those strongholds in our lives.
God, remove everything that's not of you so your will can be accomplished. Remember all those who are crying for help, all those who are going through affliction in this world, all those who are praying and seeking your kindness and your healing.
Lord God, remember all of us, and send your power into our lives that will restore and strengthen us.
Oh God, remove every affection, and let your will be accomplished. Provide for us, and Open doors for us, because you are our rock, and you will lift us high. Set us on your rock, God, and help us not to drift away from you, because you are going to establish your perfect plan in our lives if we're fully surrendered to you.
Help us not to choose nothing or no one ahead of you, but to let you be God in our lives, even when we don't know what's going to happen, even when we can't see the outcome. Your grace and your mercy will intervene in our lives if we're fully surrendered to you. And we will see your will be complete in our lives. Thank you for the reminder and help us, as we go to this day in your mighty name, we pray…Amen.
I want to encourage all of you who are praying and listening to this podcast. Keep on praying, keep on trusting God, and have a wonderful day. And we'll pray again tomorrow…Bye-bye.
