Welcome to another episode of our EBC Prayer Podcast. As mentioned earlier, our prayers throughout the year will be taken from the 66 books of the Bible. We begin in Genesis and will conclude in the book of Revelation.

Today, we are diving into the book of Song of Solomon, and our scripture will be taken from Song of Solomon 2:1, which reads: “I am the rose of Sharon, and the lily of the valleys.”

Do you feel like rejoicing? God woke us up with a desire to praise, to give him thanks, and to celebrate the goodness of his will in our lives. It doesn't matter what life has in store; the Lord is reminding us that he can do mighty and wonderful things in our lives because he is the Rose of Sharon, the lily of the valley.

Let us pray and lift our hearts in supplication. God is giving us assurance.

Dear Heavenly Father, our Faithful Savior, Lord, and Redeemer. Father, we come before you with our hearts overflowing with gratitude. Thank you for the gift of life, for “you are the rose of Sharon, and the lily of the valleys.”

Father, strengthen our faith and increase our knowledge during our prayer. Help us not to be weary, for you are the beauty that blooms where we least expect it. You are the fragrance of hope in dry places and the sign of life in the middle of barren ground. When our days feel heavy or our paths feel unclear, you remain radiant and unchanging. You are present not only on the mountaintops but also in the valleys, and we are grateful that there is no place we can go where your love does not reach us.

Lord, as we go through the valleys of life, where burdens feel heavy, and paths feel uncertain, teach us to see your majesty even there. Remind us that your rod and your staff comfort us, that your spirit never abandons us, and that your promises remain unshaken no matter what storms may come. Give us the knowledge to recognize the blessings you are pouring into our lives daily. Blessings even in trials will refine our character, and the deeper our trust in you, even when everything else feels shaky.

Father, thank you for your faithfulness. You have carried us through moments we did not think we would survive. You have sustained us when our strength ran out and lifted us when our hearts felt burdened. Even when we could not see what you were doing, you were still working, still protecting, still guiding us with your steady hand. We are thankful for every prayer you have answered, and even for the ones you answered in ways we did not expect, because we trust that your wisdom is greater than our understanding.

Lord, thank you for your mercy, which meets us fresh every morning. Thank you for not having to earn your love or strive to be perfect in order to be accepted by you. You see us fully, with all our weaknesses and failures, and yet you draw us close with compassion. Thank you for forgiving us when we fall short and for inviting us to begin again. Help us to extend that same grace and patience to others, just as you have so freely given it to us.

Father, would search us and know us, reveal anything within us that needs healing, surrender, or correction. Gently shape our hearts to reflect yours. Teach us to love more deeply, to listen more carefully, and to walk in obedience even when it requires courage or sacrifice.

Lord, we bring before you our worries and burdens. You know the concerns that weigh on our minds, the fears we struggle to name, and the prayers we whisper in private. We place them into your hands, trusting that you care for us more than we can comprehend. Where there is anxiety, bring peace. Where there is confusion, bring clarity. Where there is discouragement, restore hope. Lord, thank you for being actively involved in every detail of our lives.

Father, we are praying for healing. We ask for healing in our bodies, in our minds, and in our spirits. Touch those who are experiencing illness, pain, or exhaustion, and bring them comfort and strength. Heal broken relationships and soften hearts that have grown distant or wounded. Restore joy where sorrow has lingered and renew faith where doubt has crept in. You are the Great Physician, and nothing is beyond your power.

Lord, remember those around us. Remember our families, our friends, our communities, and even those we find difficult to love. Teach us to be instruments of your peace and vessels of your compassion. Help us to speak words that encourage, to act with kindness, and to reflect your light.

Father, guide our steps each day. Give us wisdom in our decisions and discernment in our choices. Help us to trust you not only when answers come quickly, but also when waiting is required. Strengthen our faith so that we may rely on you fully, confident that you are ordering our steps according to your perfect plan. When we feel uncertain about the future, remind us that you already stand there, holding tomorrow in your hands.

Lord, thank you for the hope we have in you. Thank you for reminding us that no matter what we face, your promises remain true. As the rose of Sharon and the lily of the valleys, you are reminding us that beauty can rise from brokenness and that life can flourish even in the hardest places.

We end this prayer with hearts full of gratitude and trust. We give you all the honor and praise, in the magnificent and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray…Amen.

Everyone. Have a great day, and by God’s grace, we will pray again tomorrow…Bye-bye.
