Welcome to another episode of the EBC’s Prayer Podcast. As mentioned earlier, our prayers throughout the year will be taken from the 66 books of the Bible. We began in the book of Genesis and will conclude in the book of Revelation.

Today, we are diving into the book of Micah. Our scripture will be taken from Micah 7:7-8, which reads: “Therefore, I will look to the Lord; I will wait for the God of my salvation; My God will hear me. Do not rejoice over me, my enemy; when I fall, I will arise; When I sit in darkness, the Lord will be a light to me.”

The Lord doesn’t want us to stop praying. Let us pray for hope and endurance, for the Lord is listening and hearing our cries for help. He wants us to place our trust in him, looking unto Him with hope and expectation. For God will bring us salvation when our prayers are heard. We will rise again. In times when darkness surrounds us and despair tries to take hold, it is the Lord who will illuminate our path and guide us toward healing and strength.

Dear Heavenly Father. Our Glorious God and Faithful Savior. Father, we come before you with a heart that is both heavy and hopeful. You know the burdens we carry, and you see the struggles that no one else sees, the moment of weariness, the battles within our minds, and the fears that try to steal our peace. But you are encouraging us to “look to the Lord; to wait for the God of our salvation; You God will hear us. Do not rejoice over us, our enemy; when we fall, we will arise; when we sit in darkness, the Lord will be a light to us.”

Lord, today, we are lifting our eyes to you. Help us not to focus on the storm around us, but to set our gaze on the God who saves, the God who never forsakes, the God who hears. Lord, you are our salvation. You are our refuge in trouble, our hiding place in weakness, and our comfort in sorrow. Even when we stumble, you promise that we will rise again. Even when we sit in darkness, your presence surrounds us with light.

Father, we are grateful for the assurance that you, in your infinite goodness, are always ready to hear our prayers and concerns. Waiting sometimes is hard. Waiting for healing and restoration often tests our faith. Thank you for reminding us that no matter the circumstances we face, we can always bring our worries, hopes, and dreams before you. Lord, help us to wait, not by despair, but with expectation. You are working behind the scenes, weaving together all things for good, even when we cannot see it. Your listening ear and compassionate heart give us the strength to face each day with faith and confidence.

So, we can truly say; Do not take pleasure in our struggles, O adversary. While we may face challenges and setbacks, we hold firm in our faith that the Lord will come to our aid and deliver us from our hardships. Our strength is rooted in the Lord, and we will rise again with strength and determination.

When we stumble and face the hardships of life, we will find the strength within us to rise again; even in our darkest moments, when shadows obscure our path, the Lord will shine his light upon us and guide us toward hope and renewal.

Father, strengthen us to rise again, not by our own power, but by your Spirit. Let every setback become a setup for testimony. Let every failure become an opportunity for growth. Let every season of loss pave the way for new beginnings in us.

Lord, you are our light in darkness. Our wisdom, our joy, and our peace. Lord, please heal the broken areas of our lives, the disappointments, the regrets, the hurts we have carried for too long. Replace bitterness with forgiveness, anxiety with trust, and despair with hope. Shine Your light into every hidden corner of our hearts, so that no darkness remains.

Father, we are praying for others who feel like they are sitting in darkness today. For those grieving loss, be their comfort. For those wrestling with illness, be their healer. For those burdened by shame, be their redeemer. For those who feel forgotten, remind them they are seen and loved by you.

Lord, our life is in your hands. Help us not give in to fear or hopelessness. Help us to rise in faith, in hope, and in love. Because you are strong in us. May our lives testify to your goodness, even in trials. May our hearts sing of your mercy, even in pain. May our lips declare your faithfulness, even in seasons of waiting.

Lord, help us to trust you. Be patient and rejoice in your presence. For you are the God of our salvation, the light in our darkness, the lifter of our heads.

Father, thank you for hearing us. Thank you for never leaving us. Thank you for your unshakable promises that give us the courage to keep pressing forward. We give you all the glory, all the honor, and all the praise. In Jesus Christ’s mighty name, we pray…Amen.

Everyone. Please have a great day, and by God’s grace, we will pray again tomorrow…Bye-bye.
