Welcome to another episode of the EBC's Prayer Podcast. Our scripture will be taken from Matthew 28:20, and it reads: “Teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen.”
The Lord is always by our side. Teaching us to see the beauty and lessons in all things around us. to diligently observe all the principles and commandments he has communicated to us.
As we pray, let us believe that the Lord is with us every step of the way, providing guidance and support, even until the end of time.
Let’s Pray
Dear Heavenly Father. Our Lord, God, and Savior. Father, we come before you with humble hearts, filled with reverence, gratitude, and respect. We acknowledge that apart from you, we can do nothing, but with you, we are sustained, uplifted, and made whole. Lord, thank you for reminding us that your word will guide us when our thoughts feel scattered. You will be a light when our path feels unclear. You will not burden us, but shape us, grow us, and lead us into a life that is everlasting.
Father, thank you for teaching us to obey. You told us to teach others to observe all things you have commanded. Not just to hear your words, not just to repeat them, but to live them, to carry them in our actions, to reflect them in our attitudes, and to pass them on with patience and love. For you are with us always, even to the end of the age.” What a comfort and a reassurance this is, that no matter what valleys we walk through, no matter what storms we face, your presence never leaves us. You are Emmanuel, God with us, faithful and true through every season of our lives.
Lord, help us to be people who observe your commands ourselves. Search our hearts. Show us where we are rushing ahead of you. Show us where we have ignored your voice. Show us where we have chosen comfort over obedience. Help us to pray not in fear, but in trust, knowing that you correct those you love. Teach us how to obey you with joy, not pressure. Teach us how to walk in faith, not performance. Let our obedience flow from love, not from obligation. Let us know who you are and trust that your ways are good.
Lord, make us teachers. We are asking for strength and wisdom to faithfully follow your teachings. Help us remember that everyone is growing at a different pace. Help us speak truth without harshness. Help us listen before we speak. Help us show your commands not only with words, but with kindness, patience, forgiveness, and grace. Give us hearts that long to see others. Remove fear that keeps us silent. Remove pride that makes us feel superior. Remove weariness that makes us give up too soon. Fill us with compassion, courage, and endurance.
Lord, the world around us often clouds our understanding and distracts us with noise, confusion, and doubt. Teach us to walk in the ways of righteousness, not just when it is convenient or easy, but in every moment, even when the path is difficult, when the cost is high, and when obedience demands perseverance. May your spirit give us discernment to separate truth from deception and cling to the eternal hope we have in Christ.
Father, we are asking for clarity in the truth you are revealing in our lives. There are times when your plans feel hidden, when circumstances seem overwhelming, when we cannot trace your hand. Help us to see that every trial, every delay, every unexpected turn is not without purpose, for you are teaching us to wait on you with patience, to trust in your timing, and to find peace in you.
Lord, you did not rush people. You walked with them. You ate with them. You listened to their questions. Teach us to do the same. When we feel weak or unsure, remind us of your promise. You said you are with us always. Not only when we succeed, not only when we feel strong, but always. When we speak, you are with us. When we serve quietly, you are with us. When we feel unseen, you are with us. When we feel afraid, you are with us.
Thank you for your presence that does not depend on our perfection. Thank you for not leaving us when we struggle. Thank you for remaining with us, that seasons may change, people may come and go, but you remain the same. You are a faithful God who knows and understands all things.
Lord, help us to reflect your love in our daily actions. Let us be patient where others are impatient, kind where others are harsh, and forgiving. When life feels uncertain, when obedience feels costly, when teaching others feels overwhelming, remind us that we are not carrying this calling alone. You walk beside us. You go before us. You strengthen us from within.
We are praying for those we are called to teach and guide. Prepare our hearts. Soften us with your love. Open our minds to your truth. Protect us from discouragement. Lead us step by step and help us to have deeper trust in you. Let our words align with our actions, let our faith be visible, and let our obedience be a testimony of your goodness.
Lord, we place everything into your hands now. Our calling, our fears, our growth, and our future. We trust you to complete the work you have begun. We trust your promise that you are with us always, even to the end of the age. We rest in your promise with confidence and reverence.
We pray all of these things in the precious, powerful, and holy name of Jesus Christ, our Savior…Amen.
Everyone. Please have a great day, and by God’s grace, we will pray again tomorrow…Bye-bye.
