Welcome to another episode of our EBC Prayer Podcast. Our scripture will be taken from John 14:26. And it reads, “But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.”

As we pray, let us pray for a deeper understanding and relationship with the Lord, for he is our comforter.

The Lord is reminding us that the Comforter will serve as our guide, explaining our understanding and imparting wisdom in all matters. He will not only teach us everything we need to know but also remind us of the teachings and lessons he has shared with us throughout our time together.

Dear Heavenly Father. Our God, Lord, and Savior. Father, we come before you with grateful hearts, aware of our deep need for your presence and your guidance. Thank you for blessing us with another day of life, another chance to draw closer to you, and another opportunity to see your goodness and mercy in our lives. Lord, we acknowledge that you are holy, faithful, and near, and that your love surrounds us even when we feel uncertain or weary. for you are inviting us into communion with you, not as strangers, but as beloved children who are known, seen, and cared for by you.

Father, thank you for the promise you gave us through your word, that you would not leave us comfortless, but that you would send the Comforter, the Holy Ghost, in the name of Jesus Christ. And that your Spirit will teach us all things and bring to our remembrance everything the Lord has spoken. We are grateful that your wisdom is not distant or unreachable, but living within us, guiding our thoughts, shaping our hearts, and leading us into truth.

Holy Spirit, we welcome you now. We invite you to move freely in our minds and in our souls. Come and comfort those places within us that still ache, that still grieve, that still carry burdens we have not known how to release. You know every silent prayer, every unspoken fear, every question we have carried for too long. Wrap us in your peace and remind us that we are never alone, even in moments when we feel forgotten or overwhelmed.

Lord, teach us, as you have promised. Teach us how to listen for your voice above the noise of this world. Teach us how to discern even when confusion surrounds us. Teach us how to walk in love, humility, and obedience, even when the path is difficult. Teach us how to internalize the words of Jesus in our hearts, not just as memories, but as living truths that guide our daily lives.

Lord, help us to bring to our remembrance the things you have spoken over us. When we forget who we are, remind us that we are your children. When fear tries to take hold, remind us of your promises. When doubt clouds our vision, remind us of your faithfulness in times past. Let your Spirit call us back to hope, back to trust, and back to the assurance that your word does not fail.

Father, we are praying for renewed minds and softened hearts. Where we have grown weary from waiting, give us patience. Where disappointment has taken root, bring healing. Where we have been wounded by others or by circumstances beyond our control, let your Spirit minister restoration and peace.

Lord Jesus, thank you for making a way for us to receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. Thank you for your sacrifice, your obedience, and your love. Because of you, we have access to divine comfort, wisdom, and strength. Help us to remember your words when we are tempted to give up, when we are tempted to respond in anger, and when we are tempted to walk in our own understanding instead of trusting you.

Lord, guide our decisions. Lead us in moments when we are unsure which direction to take. Whisper truth when we are standing at a crossroads. Give us clarity when emotions feel overwhelming, and peace when answers do not come immediately. Help us to trust that you are at work even when we cannot see the full picture.

Father, help those who are hurting today. We are praying for the brokenhearted, the lonely, the sick, and the tired. Let your Comforter draw near to us physically. Let us feel your presence in every moment, and let us know that our pain is not overlooked by you. Lord, use us as vessels of your compassion, so that we may reflect your love to those around us.

Teach us to be attentive to your Spirit throughout our days. Help us to listen and to respond with obedience. Let our words be guided by your wisdom, our actions shaped by your love, and our thoughts aligned with your truth. When we stumble, remind us that your grace is sufficient and your mercy is new every morning.

Father, we surrender our plans, our expectations, and our fears into your hands. We trust that you are leading us with purpose and care. Help us to rest in the assurance that your Spirit is with us, “the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach us all things, and bring all things to our remembrance, whatsoever you have said unto us.”

Lord, we close this prayer with gratitude and trust, knowing that you hear us and that you are faithful to your promises. May your Spirit guide us, and your love sustain us in every season of our lives. Teach us, comfort us, and remind us of everything you have spoken through your Son, Jesus Christ.

We ask all of this in the mighty and precious name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ…Amen.

Everyone, please have a blessed day, and by God’s grace, we will pray again tomorrow.
