So welcome to another episode of our EBC Prayer Podcast. Remember, I am your host. I am Dr. Victoria Haddad, the First Lady of Elion Bible Church Apostolic in New Jersey.
Today is another wonderful day. Today is September 4th, 247 day of the year, and God is still encouraging us, still allowing his will to accomplish in our life, still reminding us that he will never give up on us. We can always have hope in the Lord.
We can always pray with assurance. We can always have confident, knowing that we serve a wonderful, merciful, compassionate, and loving God. Our scripture today will be taken from Romans 9, verses 15 and 16.”
“And it's saying, for he said to Moses, I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion. So then, it is not of him that will, nor of him that run, but of God that show mercy. Today, it doesn't matter what life throw in your way, we're going to pray with assurance and thank God for having mercy in us, and for not giving up on us, because he have chosen us, and he have a plan in store for us.
So let us pray. Dear Evan the Father, our wonderful God, our holy God, our King of King, and our Lord of Lord. Father, we are truly grateful and truly thankful for this day, knowing that Lord God is because of your grace and your mercy while we are here.
Oh, Father God, knowing if it had not been for you, we don't know where we'll be. But we are here today celebrating you, glorifying you, honoring you, and thanking you for reminding us of all that you have in store for us, for reminding us of all the breakthrough you're sending our way, for “reminding us of the compassion and merciful of God in whom we serve, our God, hallelujah, who will show mercy in whom you choose to show mercy. So Lord, we are celebrating and thanking you for showing mercy upon us, for choosing us, God, like the sun rays that our hallelujah belongs to you, our praise belongs to you, our glory belongs to you.
So Father, here we are in your presence today, giving you thanks, God, for all that you have done, giving you thanks for not giving up on us, giving you thanks, Lord God, for reminding us of the merciful God that we serve, the compassionate God who looked beyond our fault, who she ever need. Oh, Father God, and so today as we go through this day, we are coming to you, God, for direction. We are coming to you, God, for comfort.
We are coming to you, God, with gratitude. We are coming to you worshiping and adoring your old name, calling on you because you are a God who deserve every praise, every honor, and every glory. So here we are, God, give us the grace and the strength that we need, the “compassion that we need, the mercy we need.
Help us, Lord God, to be merciful to others because you have been merciful to us. Help us to be compassionate to others because you have been compassionate to us. Lord, as we go through this day, O God, remove doubt, remove fear, remove God disappointment and sadness, and O God, everything in life that causes Lord God to lose focus on you and causes God not to have a good day.
God, remove it, but help us, Lord God, to go through this day with a desire, Lord God, to put you first, a desire, God, to truly, truly surrender to you. And so, Lord God, here we are praying, asking for your help. We need your help, Lord God.
Help us to grow more, Lord God. Help us to be more holy because you are holy. Help us to be righteous because you are righteous.”
“Help us, Lord God, to surrender ourselves fully into your hands so your will can be accomplished in us. So Lord God, we thank you Lord God for everyone who are praying. We thank you God for everyone who are listening to this podcast.
Lord, you see the need of everyone who are seeking direction. You see the need of everyone God who are hurting. You see the need God of everyone who are going through ups and down in life.
You see the need God of everyone who are seeking satisfaction, seeking direction, seeking help, Lord God. And so Lord God, thank you for reminding us, Lord God, that you are merciful God, loving God, forgiving God. God, hallelujah Jesus, who will help us, Lord God, if we hold on to you, if we trust you, a God who will not forsake us, not give up on us, a God who will give us spiritual strength, physical strength, God, or God's strength in the home, strength in our marriages, strength in the job, strength in the church.”
