Oct 11 – Day 284. Bow Your Knees and Pray with Gratitude. Ephesians 3.14-15
“For this reason, I bow my knees to the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, from whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named.” (Ephesians 3:14-15)
Welcome to another daily prayer. Prayer works. In light of this profound truth, let’s humbly kneel in prayer before the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, acknowledging His sovereignty and compassion. It is from Him that every family, whether in the heavenly realms or on earth, derives its identity and purpose. With reverence, let’s recognize the interconnectedness of all creation under His divine authority, celebrating the unity that binds us all as one family in faith.
Good morning, everyone! It’s a joy to welcome each and everyone of you to another episode of our EBC’s Prayer Podcast. Today is October 11th, the 284th day of the year. A moment to reflect on the blessings that God is pouring into our lives.
I’m Dr. Victoria Haddad, the First Lady and Prayer Leader at Elyon Bible Church Apostolic in Salem, NJ.
Today, our prayer will focus on Ephesians 3:14-15, which states: “For this reason, I bow my knees to the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, from whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named.”
Saints, let’s recognize the depth of our connection to God and to one another as His creation.
As we pray, let us humble ourselves, bow our knees, and open our hearts. So, the will of God can be accomplished in our lives.
Lets Pray
Dear Heavenly Father. Our Lord, God, and Savior.
Father, we come before you with our hearts overflowing with gratitude and a deep sense of appreciation, praising your holy name, for you are the sovereign ruler of all creation. You are the Alpha and Omega, the Beginning and the End, and in you, all things are held together.
Lord, thank you for reminding us that your ways are far above our comprehension and your thoughts exceed our understanding. Even when the road ahead seems uncertain, we are never alone; for your presence will always lead the way and surround us, with your mighty hand.
You never let us down; your love reaches deep into our hearts, bringing hope to life. Like a powerful embrace, you are reminding us that no matter the challenges we face, we are safely held in your arms. You are our refuge and fortress, our God in whom we place our complete trust.
Lord, as we gather in prayer, help us to reflect on your word: “For this reason, we bow our knees to you. For you are our Father, our Lord Jesus Christ, from you every family in heaven and on earth is held together.”
Father, we are humbly kneeling before you with gratefulness, for you are our Father and the Lord of our Lord. It is from you that every family, both in heaven and on earth, receives our name and identity. Everyone knows who they truly are because of you.
Lord, you recognize everything about us, you know our thoughts and ideas. Nothing is hidden from you. Your vast and intricate design, acknowledging that every community and family are woven together in your heavenly hands.
In this moment of reverence, we are honoring you, the source of all creation, recognizing the significance of our connection to each and every one of us.
Father, we are grateful that you have called each of us by name, identifying who we are, and instilling within us a unique identification. You have engraved our names on the palms of your hands, a beautiful reminder of your everlasting love and commitment to all of us. Assuring us that you have not given up on us. But you have great plans in store for each and every one of us.
If we humble ourselves, if we pray, and if we seek you, then we can see your will fulfilled in our lives.
Lord, we ask that you instill in us a spirit of grace, compassion, and forgiveness. Teach us to let go of every wrongdoing, every painful hurt, and every anger. Lord, purify our hearts and spirits.
Help us, Lord, to be holy, for you are holy. Heavenly people, because you are heavenly. Righteous, because you are righteous.
Help us, Lord, God, to sing and glorify your name each and every day. You know what this day has in store. So, we are coming to you, God, opening our hearts and asking for divine intervention throughout this day.
Let our hearts be open to healing and renewal. Help us to use words that will uplift and encourage, we meet today, Lord, rather than to harm or diminish.
Let our actions be a true reflection of your love. Help us not to make bad choices, but to be instruments of peace to all those we encounter and in all that we do, so we can strive to mirror your compassion and kindness, while spreading hope and joy to those around us as we navigate this journey.
Father, we want you to be pleased with us, for you created us for a purpose. So, we are praising, honoring, and glorifying you as we go through this day. Let you be accomplished in our lives, let you get the glory out of us, let you get the praise.
You are reminding us that today, your plans for us are that we will bow our knees and humble ourselves because you are God, and you want us to be humble as we go through this day.
We thank you for all your reminders, we thank you for your grace and mercy, and we humbly surrender to you, in your mighty, holy, and wonderful holy name we pray. Amen.
Thank each and every one of you for praying with us. Please have a wonderful day, and by God's grace, we will pray again tomorrow.
