Good morning, everyone! Welcome to another episode of our EBC’s Prayer Podcast. Today is October 21st, the 294th day of the year.
I’m your host, Dr. Victoria Haddad, the First Lady and Prayer Leader at Elyon Bible Church Apostolic in Salem, NJ.
Today, we are going to focus on Ephesians 6:18, and it reads: “Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints.”
Today, let's turn to the Lord in heartfelt prayer and sincere supplication, reaching out for guidance and alert in the Spirit.
The Lord wants us to stand firm in faith, continue in prayer, intercede for one another, and extend prayers for all saints.
Let’s Pray
Dear Heavenly Father. Our Lord, God, and Savior. Father, we come before you today in the name of Jesus Christ, our Savior. Our hearts are flowing with gratitude for your mercy that is new every morning, and for your love towards us will never cease. Please instill in us a spirit of reverence, so we can deepen our connection with you.
Lord, your word is reminding us to “pray always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and to watch with perseverance for all the saints.”
Holy Spirit, teach us how to truly pray. How to pray not only with words, but with our spirits. Help us to be attentive to you every moment, not just in set times of devotion. But during a quiet moment where your presence is welcome. When our hearts are tender to your whispers, and drift into spiritual sleep. Help us recognize the significance of prayer in our daily routines, to pray always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit.
Lord, help us to be sincere in our requests, not just for ourselves but also for all the saints. supporting one another in our spiritual journeys. Give us the strength to stay dedicated and become faithful followers who care for those around us.
Lord, help us to walk in truth and humility. Guard our hearts from distractions, from bitterness, from fear. Let our minds be renewed so that our prayers can come with faith, not anxiety; with love, not obligation. Fill us afresh with the oil of the Spirit so we won’t grow weary in intercession.
Father, remember all saints around the world, the saints you have called out of darkness into your marvelous light. Remember those who are weary today, carrying burdens of life that is too heavy to bear. remember those who feel alone. Breathe hope into those who feel forgotten. Pour out courage on those who face persecution and give peace to those who are going through the storms of life.
Lord, remember our pastors, missionaries, and religious leaders. Give us the purity of your heart, boldness in the gospel, and wisdom when shepherding your people. Wrap all believers throughout the world in your protective hands and remember everyone wrestling with doubt, and draw them deeper into your truth.
Lord, help us not to only pray for needs, but to rejoice and give you thanks for the good and the bad, the seen and the unseen.
Let compassion flow freely from our hearts, let criticism cease, and let intercession rise naturally. Keep us watchful, for the enemy seeks to divide, discourage, and devour us. But greater is you who is in us than he who is in the world. When prayers seem unanswered, when the night feels long, when the answers tarry, help me to your knowledge, feel your knocking, keep seeking, keep believing. Help us to persevere, not only in human strength, but by your Spirit.
Prayer is not just about changing circumstances but about being transformed in your imagination.
Jesus, you are our great High Priest who intercedes for us. Let our prayers join with yours, aligning with your will. Let our lives be one aligned to your will.
Lord, awaken your church, awaken every saint. So, many are still sleeping spiritually and praying like they show. Revive our hearts, so our love for you can grow. Break our hearts from earthly desire and teach us how to find joy in the things that are pleasing to you. Help us to rejoice with those who rejoice and weep with those who weep. Help us to remember that we are one body with many members, and when one part suffers, we all suffer. United in the bond of peace.
Father, let our prayers be a source of hope and strength for those in need and help us remain aware of the spiritual battles that surround us, staying alert and watchful. Thank you for hearing the cries, thank you for the victory you are showering upon us, the victory you have won at the cross, and thank you for the Holy Spirit, the comfort, counsel, and power you shower upon us.
Let every prayer we pray be wrapped in your love. And when words fail, let our sighs and groans still rise to you as worship. In the mighty name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, we pray… Amen.
Thank each and every one of you for listening to this prayer podcast. Please have a wonderful day. By God's grace, we will pray again tomorrow.
