Oct 22 - Day 295. Be Confident in the Lord. Philippians 1.6

Elyon Bible Church Apostolic Season 3 Episode 295

Send us a text

“Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ.” (Philippians 1:6)

Welcome to another daily prayer. The Lord wants us to have complete confidence in this profound truth: the same God who has initiated a good work within you is dedicated to continuing that work, nurturing it, and bringing it to completion until the day of Jesus Christ's return. This assurance reminds us that our journey of growth and transformation is a core part of a divine plan, one that promises not just endurance but an ultimate fulfillment in the light of His presence.

We can have strong assurance in this truth: the one who has initiated a good and meaningful work within you will continue to carry it out and perfect it until the day of our Lord Jesus Christ arrives. This promise reminds us of the divine commitment to our growth and transformation, emphasizing that what has begun in us is not a fleeting endeavor but a lifelong journey that will ultimately reach its fulfillment.

Good morning, everyone! Welcome you to another episode of our EBC’s Prayer Podcast. Can you believe it, Today is October 22nd, the 295th day of the year. A wonderful reminder of how swiftly time passes and the ongoing journey we are on together.

I’m Dr. Victoria Haddad, the First Lady and Prayer Leader at the Elyon Bible Church Apostolic in Salem, NJ. I love prayer, prayer works, and it deepens our relationship with God.

We are still praying from the 66 books throughout the Bible. Today, our scripture will be taken from Philippians 1:6, which reads, “Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ.”

This verse is a reminder of the assurance we have in God’s promises. The work God has initiated within us is a lifelong journey.

Let's remember that every prayer we offer, every challenge we face, and every triumph we celebrate is part of the good work God is perfecting in us. No matter where you are in your journey, don’t give up praying. Trust that the God who started this work in you, in all of us, is faithful and will see it through to completion.

Let’s Pray

Dear Heavenly Father. Our Lord, God, and Protector. Father, thank you for the incredible gift of prayer. We come before you with our hearts overflowing with gratitude. Through this sacred moment, we are cultivating our relationship with you and embracing the confidence you are instilling within us.

Lord, we come before you today with our hearts in need of your reassurance. You are reminding us that we should be “Confident of this very thing, that He, 'You Lord', which hath begun a good work in us will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ.”

Father, you are the one who began the good works in us. You are the one who is continuing your good works each and every day. Help us to cling to your promise, not just as words, but as proof that you have the power to shape how we think, how we feel, and how we navigate through the issues of life.

Father, help us not to fall behind in our relationship with you, help us not to fall short in our progress, or become weak during our prayer session. But give us the strength to recognize that our perfection comes from you. It is your faithfulness towards us.

Lord, thank you for reminding us that you are not in the business of abandoning what you start. You will not abandon us or give up on us. You who have started a good work in us will complete it. You are the Author and the Finisher of our faiths.

Lord, if physical people on earth can be determined and hold out with determination during their building or their tasks. How much more for you?

Lord, many builders don’t walk away in the middle of their project. But carry it through until the end, until it is complete. How much more for you? You want to complete what you started for each and every one of us. So, help us to believe and hold on to your promises as we go through this day.

Lord, thank you for reminding us that our salvation and spiritual growth do not depend on our own strength, but on your grace. When we are weary, you are still working. When we are unsure, you are still working. When our prayers are weak, your Spirit is always interceding for us with groanings that cannot be uttered.

Lord, help us to trust that our achievements are not merely the result of our efforts but are rooted in your commitment to our lives. For the work you have started in our lives will be brought to completion according to your plan.

Father, Thanks for reminding us that we may not feel perfect. But you are shaping us, removing things in our lives that do not belong, and planting seeds in our lives that will bear fruit in your perfect timing.

Lord, help us to live each day with confidence, even if we don’t see all the changes taking place in our lives at once. When doubts appear in our hearts, remind us that you will never start a work without knowing the finished result. You are not surprised by our struggles; You already factored them into stories. You know the missteps we will take, yet you still call us beloved.

Jesus Christ, thank you for the good work you began in us, whether it was years ago or just yesterday, or just today, it will be completed in your timing. Renew our strength in you and let our prayers be our anchor as we go through each day.

Lord, it is by your grace that we are saved, and that you are guiding us toward holiness. You are patient with us, loving us, refining us, teaching us, and walking with us every step of the way.

So today, Lord, help us to rest in your promise, trust your timing, and believe that our lives are in your hands. Please give us the courage to confront challenges head-on and have the faith to believe in your plan.

In your mighty and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Savior and the One who began and will complete this work in us, we pray... Amen.

Thank each and every one of you for listening to this prayer podcast. Please have a wonderful day. Stay confident. By God's grace, we will pray again tomorrow.
