Oct 7 - Day 280. God is Rich in Mercy. Ephesians 2:4-5
Ephesians 2:4-5 “God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love which He loved us, even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you are saved)”
Welcome to another daily prayer. Keep on praying, even in the toughest times. Remember, God is overflowing with mercy towards us. God, who is abundant in mercy and grace, has demonstrated His incredible love for us, even when we found ourselves spiritually dead due to our trespasses and sins. In His boundless compassion, He has brought us to life in unity with Christ, reminding us that our salvation is a gift bestowed upon us through His grace—an unwavering promise that we are not defined by our failures, but by the transformative power of His love.
Good morning, Good morning, Good morning, everyone! Welcome to another episode of EBC’s Prayer Podcast. Today is October 7th, the 280th day of the year, and I am rejoicing and thanking God for another day.
I am your host. I am Dr. Victoria Haddad, the First Lady of the Elyon Bible Church Apostolic in New Jersey.
It brings me joy to connect with you and celebrate the Lord during our prayer.
Today, our scripture is taken from Ephesians 2:4-5, and it reads: “But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love for us, even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (for by grace you are saved).”
This is a reminder of the depth of God’s love and mercy. No matter how challenging life may appear, God's mercy is overflowing, and His love is limitless.
We are never alone. God is always present and investing in each of our lives.
Let’s Pray
Dear Heavenly Father. Our Merciful God and Faithful Savior.
Father, we come before you with our hearts overflowing with gratitude and thank you for another day. Thank you for bringing us together and for the privilege to pray, seek, and surrender to you.
You are reminding us that you are our God. A “God, who is rich in mercy, because of your great love for us, even when we were dead in trespasses, you made us alive together with you Christ, for by grace you are saved.” By your grace, we are saved.
Lord, thank you for your love, a love that supports us in our most trying moments. In times of weariness and burden, your presence lights our path, serving as a beacon even when darkness tries to overwhelm us.
Help us to never take your presence for granted, for you are alongside us throughout our trials. You are our strength in moments of weakness, you are offering us clarity when confusion is clouding our minds, and you are showering us with peace, for your peace surpasses our understanding and will always rise above the chaos of our world.
Lord, may we always rejoice and recognize that without you, our efforts are in vain, but with you, all things become possible. Sometimes we fall short of mercy. We find ourselves sometimes feeling lost, broken, and overwhelmed.
But you are a faithful God, a loving God, and an understanding God. It is you who is reaches out, constantly guiding us even when we are not seeing your light shining.
You are a merciful God, and your mercies have never failed. You want us to see the purpose that you have for each and every one of us. You created us for a purpose. Even when we were dead in our sins and transgressing against you who has done so much for us.
A God who deserves all the praise and honor that is due unto His holy name. Our Savior, who went to the cross and shed his blood for our sins. Who has made us alive?
Father, this is why we are praying with grateful hearts, celebrating each moment, and thanking you for the gift of another day. As we journey through life, help us to pursue wisdom, appreciate your kindness, and avoid distractions.
Lord, even when we stumble, help us to focus on you, knowing that you have the power to restore us and transform us. It is through your grace that we are saved. fill our hearts with your love, refresh our minds, and elevate our spirits so that we can live righteously. Teach us to love as you love us and to forgive others as you forgive us. Help us to extend this same grace to others. To be vessels of kindness, promoting unity, be righteous, and not give in to temporal pleasures.
Lord, instill in us the strength to uplift those who are weary, to encourage those who are feeling weak, and to support those who are brokenhearted. Give us compassion, mercy, and forgiveness, and help us to become true ambassadors of your love. Help us to see the numerous ways in which you are comforting us and hear your voice more clearly when you are responding to our call.
Lord, help us to trust you wholeheartedly and believe in your power, even when thing around us seems uncertain, so that we can be a spiritual example in our homes, in our jobs, in our churches, and in our communities.
Lord, let our words, thoughts, and actions align with your calling. Let us resist the negative influence of the world and grow spiritually stronger in our relationship with you.
Lord, if we have done anything that is not right, help us to repent and make it right with you before it is too late.
God, we are praying for everyone who is listening to this podcast, those who are praying faithfully, and those who are falling away from you. Take control over all of our leaders throughout the world.
Help us not to let go of you. Help us not to stop praying. Help us not to be distracted by the things of the world and lose focus on you, but help us to remember that you are a loving God, A caring God, and A merciful God who has not given up on us.
God, take care of our family, take care of everyone who is praying, take care of our pastors, our church leaders, and everyone in the church.
Lord, let your will be done in us, as we go through this day. Help us not to give up on you, but to trust you and surrender to you so that your will can be accomplished in our lives.
Help us never to take your presence for granted. But cultivate a deeper love for you, and carry your teachings, compassion, mercy, and forgiveness in our hearts. So we can be vessels of love to everyone we encounter.
In the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, we pray… Amen.
I want to encourage everyone who is listening to this podcast. God is rich in mercy. Surrender to him. Serve him. And let his will be done in our lives. Have a great day. And we'll pray again tomorrow. God Bless you.
