Send us a text

“If there is any consolation in Christ, if any comfort of love, if any fellowship of the Spirit, if any affection and mercy, fulfill my joy by being like-minded, having the same love, being of one accord of one mind.” (Philippians 2:1-2)

Welcome to another daily prayer. Prayer works. Find comfort in your relationship with the Lord. He will fill your heart with joy and uplift your spirit. If there is any consolation to be found in Christ, any solace derived from His profound love, any genuine fellowship shared through the Holy Spirit, and any expressions of deep affection and compassion, he is urging us to fulfill our hearts with joy. Let us strive to be united in our thoughts and intentions, embracing the same love for one another. Together, let us work towards harmony and standing as one in purpose and spirit.

Good morning, everyone! Welcome to another episode of EBC’s Prayer Podcast. Today is October 24th, the 297th day of the year.

I’m Dr. Victoria Haddad, honored to serve as the First Lady and Prayer Leader at Elyon Bible Church Apostolic in Salem, NJ. It's a joy to connect with you all as we take a moment to reflect and pray together.

In today’s episode, our scripture will be taken from Philippians 2:1-2, which reads: “If there is any consolation in Christ, if any comfort of love, if any fellowship of the Spirit, if any affection and mercy, fulfill my joy by being like-minded, having the same love, being of one accord and of one mind.”

Today, we are going to pray and ask the Lord to build a stronger unity among us, His believers. To help us seek not only our comfort but also the harmony that comes from being united in love. Let us express gratitude and have a spirit of togetherness within our community.

Let’s Pray

Dear Heavenly Father. Our Lord, God, and Savior, we come before you today with gratitude for the precious gift of prayer. We are praying for harmony within the body of Christ.

Your Scripture is reminding us, "If there is any consolation in us, any comfort of love, any fellowship of the Spirit, any affection and any mercy, you will fill us with joy, so we can be like-minded, and have the same love, and be of one accord and of one mind."

Lord, thank you for calming our fears, showering us with your love, and keeping our hearts alive with hope.  Some days we feel weary, but you are reminding us of your comfort. You know what each and every one of us is going through. You see every hurt, every disappointment, and you are not a distant God; you are a compassionate Savior who knows our pain and will draw us closer to him.

Please comfort us as we go through this day, prevent anger from creeping into our hearts, and break down the walls of division, misunderstanding, and conflict. Give us peace. Fill our hearts with love. Teach us to love without hesitation and to believe that the best is yet to come. Where there are grudges, replace them with mercy; where there is impatience, fill us with your gentleness.

Holy Spirit, correct our thoughts, remove pride and hatred. Help us to choose choices that will honor you, our Lord, Jesus Christ.

Lord, with you, nothing is beyond reach. Help us to serve you wholeheartedly, listen attentively to your words, and supply those who are in need. Help us build bridges, listen instead of speaking, and value peace over pleasure.

Lord, help us to seek understanding rather than judgment and choose the path of reconciliation instead of division.

Jesus, forgive us and teach us the essence of unity. Therefore, we pray for unity in our families, church, communities, and workplaces. Knit our hearts together. Let the comfort of love and the fellowship of the Spirit deepen our affection for each other.  Help us bring joy to others, so that when they see us, they will recognize you. Remove stubbornness and give us teachable spirits, so we can grow, surrender, and extend mercy to those around us.

Father, in moments when spiritual maintenance feels costly, when forgiveness feels like we are losing justice, and when humility feels like we are vanishing, remind us of your meekness. transform us and empower us. mold us and help us understand each other's viewpoints, help us to communicate with compassion, and support one another even through life’s challenges.

Lord, you took the form of a servant, endured rejection, and laid down your life. If you did that for us, surely we can become the saints that you destined us to become.

So, today, Lord, let our prayer be more than mere words, but a total surrender of our minds, attitudes, and preferences to you.

In Jesus Christ’s precious and unifying name, we pray... Amen.

I want to thank every one of you for listening to this prayer podcast. Please have a wonderful day. By God's grace, we will pray again tomorrow. God bless you.
