Oct 27 – Day 300. The Lord is conforming us. Philippians 3.21
“Who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned unto his glorious body, according to the work that he is able to subdue all things unto himself.” (Philippians 3:21)
Welcome to another daily prayer. Pray with confidence and hope. God understands your struggles and will transform our wretched and imperfect bodies, so that they may be conformed to His glorious and radiant body. This transformation will occur in accordance with His omnipotent ability to bring all things into submission under His sovereign will.
Good morning, everyone! Welcome to another episode of our EBC Prayer Podcast. I’m Dr. Victoria Haddad, the First Lady and Prayer Leader at Elyon Bible Church Apostolic in Salem, New Jersey.
Thank you for joining us on this spiritual journey. Today is October 27th, the 300th day of the year, a significant milestone that is inviting us to reflect deeply on the Lord’s blessings in our lives.
The scripture today will be taken from Philippians 3:21, and it reads, “Who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned unto his glorious body, according to the work that he is able to subdue all things unto himself.”
The Lord is reminding us of his transformative power and the promise that, through Him, we can be renewed and made whole.
In prayer today, let us open our hearts to possibilities and see the glorious purpose that God has for each of us.
Let’s Pray
Dear Heavenly Father. Our Lord, our God, and our Rescuing Savior. Father, we come before you today, bowing with our hearts in humility and deep gratitude for the transformation you are working in our lives.
Lord, thank you for reassuring us that you will “change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto your glorious body, according to the work whereby you are able even to calm all things unto you.”
We thank you for the gift of life, and for the promise that our bodies, even with weakness, are not the final story.
Lord, you put on flesh, you walked through weakness, you suffered hunger, you were thirsty, and you were exhausted.
You bore upon yourself the heavy weight of human suffering, even to the point of death on the cross.
And you rose again in power, reminding us that this same resurrection life will one day be ours.
What was once dishonored shall rise in glory. What was once corrupt will rise incorruptible. What was once weak shall increase in strength.
Father, we are confessing that sometimes we feel the struggle of life weighing heavily upon us, but you know our weaknesses. God, you know our sicknesses, you know our pain, and you see our griefs.
Sometimes we wrestle with sin and the imperfections of our flesh. But in these moments of weakness, teach us to cling more tightly to your word and cling more tightly to you because you are our Savior.
Lord, help us to take refuge in your promise. Give us the wisdom to let go of our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. So we can be freed from every shadow of sin and suffering.
Our bodies will grow weary, pain and sickness will weigh us down, and the passing of time will remind us of our death.
But you, Lord, have written eternity into our hearts, and you are giving us hope.
One day, these humble bodies will be changed to reflect your glorious image. One day, we will see you face-to-face.
We long for the moment when our bodies will no longer betray us, but will be vessels of pure worship, vessels of unending praise.
Help us turn away from anything that doesn’t honor you and give us the strength to live each day in a way that brings you glory.
Lord, until that day, we are lifting before you all those who are suffering; those battling illness, those enduring chronic pain, those who are weak because of their age, those who are weary and discouraged.
Comfort them and surround them with your peace.
Lord, shape how we treat each other, how we endure hardship, how we rejoice in blessings, and how we persevere through loss.
Our imperfect bodies will one day be clothed in immortality, our tears will be wiped away, and our joy everlasting will be our portion.
Let us sense your presence, even in our darkest moments, for we get comfort in knowing that your plan for us is far beyond our understanding.
Our suffering is not the end, for you are making all things new, and one day, we shall rise with you in glory.
Lord, your transformation is a promise. You will bring everything under your authority and shape us to be more like you. Help us to live with this eternal hope; not as people bound to the dust, but as children of the resurrection, walking in the light of eternity. Let us not grow hopeless but wait with expectation for the day when you will transform us and when we shall stand before you clothed in righteousness and clothed in glory.
Lord, until that day, give us the courage to carry our crosses with faith. Teach us to see trials as opportunities and to share in sufferings, knowing that we shall one day share in victory.
May our hope be steadfast, our faith unshaken, and our eyes fixed on you—the author and finisher of our faith.
We pray with gratitude, with expectation, and with reverence: Come, Jesus, Come. Transform us, O God, and make us whole. For yours is the power, the glory, and the victory forevermore.
In the precious name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, we pray… Amen.
Thank you, Lord, thank you.
I want to encourage all of you, hold on, keep on praying, and have a blessed day. We will pray again tomorrow by God’s grace. Bye-bye.
