Good morning, everyone! Welcome to another episode of EBC’s Prayer Podcast. Today is November 18, marking the 322 days of the year, a reminder of the journey we’ve been on together as we seek inspiration and connection through prayer.

I’m your host, Dr. Victoria Haddad, honored to serve as the First Lady and Prayer Leader at Elyon Bible Church Apostolic in Salem, NJ. It is a privilege to pray with all of you.

As we continue our exploration through the 66 books of the Bible. Today, we will delve into the powerful message of Titus 2:13-14, which states: “Looking for that blessed hope, the glorious appearing of the great God and our Savior Jesus Christ, who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.”

God is reminding us of the great sacrifice he made for us and calling us to reflect on our own spiritual journeys and embrace our identity as a community dedicated to good works.

Today, as we pray, let us focus on the hope and redemption we find in faith.

Let’s pray

Dear Heavenly Father. Our Glorious Lord, God, and Savior. Father, thank you for this precious opportunity to pray. We come before you with grateful and reverent hearts.

Lord, we thank you for that blessed hope, the living expectation that one day, you, our Lord Jesus Christ, will return in glory. With tears streaming down our faces some days, we are seeking your guidance and comfort, yearning for that blessed hope—the glorious return of you, our Lord and Savior.

Lord, this world can so easily distract us. This world has troubles, it has worries, and it has temptations.

But you are our hope, our Savior, and our Redeemer. You gave yourself for us—freely, willingly, and lovingly, so we don’t have to remain bound in our sins but be free because of the sacrifices you made.

Lord, thank you for the cross, where love and justice met, where our debt was paid in full. And thank you for the resurrection, where life conquered death, and hope triumphed over despair.

You saved us for a reason. You redeemed us from all iniquity and called us to be purified people, set apart for you, zealous for good work.

Father, help us to live in such a way that our lives testify to your grace, mercy, and holiness.

Lord, sometimes we feel weary in the waiting. But you are reminding us to look for that blessed hope of your appearance.

Life’s burdens can dim our vision, and discouragement can weigh heavily on our souls. So, renew our hope.

For every trial, every tear, every season of suffering will one day give way to joy unspeakable in your presence.

Lord, give us hearts that are passionate and zealous for good works. Help us not to grow cold or indifferent, but to see the needs around us, to love you unconditionally, and to love everyone we meet. To love our neighbors as ourselves, to be generous, compassionate, and kind.

Let the good work we do be not for our own recognition, but for your glory. So, our lives can shine as a light in the darkness, pointing others to the hope in you.

Lord, remember your church and remember our church leaders. Unite us as your peculiar, chosen people, not strange by the world’s standards, but distinct in you.

Help us to live differently, love the things of God sincerely, walk humbly before you, and serve you wholeheartedly, expecting nothing in return; only to see you one day.

Lord, strengthen our pastors, our leaders, and every believer. Lord, you see everyone who is praying and seeking your direction, help us to be faithful until that glorious day when we see you face to face.

Lord, remember all of us, remember those who are struggling with guilt, remind them of the redeeming power that you shed on the cross of Calvary.

For those who are weary, remind them of the blessed hope that we can find in you.

For those who feel far from you, draw us closer to you, so we can feel the Spirit of God in our lives each and every day. So, we won’t give up hope on you, but have assurance that one day you will return for us.

And for those who fear the future, not sure of what is going to take place in their lives. Assure them that nothing can separate us from you. You are the love that can shine in darkness and the God who knows everything and never does anything from us.

Lord, as we close this prayer, we are lifting our hearts in anticipation fully to you. Praying for we know that one day, we will see you, when the trumpet will sound. One day, when the skies break open, we will see you, our Lord, our God, and our Savior face-to-face, in all your glory.

Until then, keep us faithful. Keep us hopeful. Keep us watchful. So, we can live every day with eternity in view, longing not for the treasures of this world, but for the eternal joy of being with you. And for the blessed hope.

For you who have begun to do good work in us will be faithful to complete it. And we pray all this in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our great God and Savior…Amen.

Everyone. Keep on praying, trust God. Have a great day, and by God’s grace, we will pray again tomorrow. Bye-bye.
