“Let your conversation be without covetousness, be content with things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee. So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me.” (Hebrews 13:5-6)

Welcome to another daily prayer. Keep on praying. Find contentment, for the Lord is always there to help you. “Engage in your conversations without envy or greed, and find contentment in what you already possess. Remember the assurance given to us: ‘I will never leave you, nor forsake you.’ This promise empowers us to confidently declare, ‘The Lord is my helper,’ freeing us from the fear of what others may attempt to do to us.”

Good morning, everyone!  Welcome to another episode of our EBC’s Prayer Podcast. Today is November 28, the 332 day of the year.

I’m your host, Dr. Victoria Haddad, the First Lady and Prayer Leader at the Elyon Bible Church Apostolic in Salem, NJ.

Today, our scripture will be taken from Hebrews 13:5-6, and it reads: “Let your conversation be without covetousness, be content with things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee. So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me.”

Let’s pray

Dear Heavenly Father. Our Lord, our God, and our Savior. Father, we come before you with our hearts bowed in humility and gratitude.

Father, thank you for the precious gift of prayer, the opportunity to draw near to you, to lift our voices together, and to rest in the assurance that you hear us.

Thank you for your promise that you will never leave us nor forsake us.

Lord, you sustain us in moments of weakness and give us courage in times of uncertainty.

We can be content with what we have, for you, our Lord, will never leave us, nor forsake us. Because of this promise, we can boldly say, “The Lord is our helper; we will not fear what others shall do unto us.”

Father, we cling to these words today, not as distant ideas, but as living truth, written on our hearts by your spirit.

Lord, in this world, it is so easy to become restless, so easy to compare ourselves with others, so easy to fall into discontentment.

The world shouts at us to want more, to never feel satisfied, to measure ourselves by temporary standards. But you, Lord, giving us peace. You are reminding us that your provision is enough, that your grace is sufficient, and that your love is constant.

Help us to fix our eyes NOT on what we lack, but on the abundance of blessings you have already poured into our lives and still pouring into our lives.

Lord, when anxiety rises, remind us of your peace. When doubts creep in, remind us of your truth. When trials weigh heavily, remind us of your strength. And when we feel forgotten by the world, remind us that we are never forgotten by you, but forever held in the palm of your hand.

So today, Lord, we are laying down our burdens at your feet. We surrender our worries, our fears, our striving, our self-dependence, and everything into your hands. And we choose to rest in the assurance that you are enough.

Lord, with rejoicing, thank you for the breath to breathe, for the roof over our heads, for food, for family, for friends, for the beauty of creation, and thank you for your glory, the gift of salvation.

You laid down your life for us, so we can live eternally with you. For this, we give you all the praise that is due unto your holy name.

Father, you are our helper. You are our shield and our protector. No trial, no enemy, no circumstance can stand against your power. With you by our side, we are never alone. With you, fear don’t have no strength, for fear loses its grip. With you, even the darkest valley becomes a place where light shines through.

Lord, teach us to trust you more deeply, so that we walk not by sight, but by the certainty of your promises.

Lord, empower us to live holy and faithfully. Give us courage to stand firm in truth, to compass love to others as you love us, and humility to serve without seeking recognition.

May our words and actions bring glory to your name.

We lift everyone listening to this podcast into your hands, and everyone praying into your hands. Whatever their needs are, if it is healing, provision, guidance, or comfort, we trust that you already know and that you are already working.

Lord, thank you for reminding us that nothing is too big or too small for you. You are a God who can do the impossible in our lives, and so we are trusting and depending on you as we go through this day.

Father, in closing, help us to go through this day with renewed confidence, greater faith, and deeper gratitude.

Father, draw us closer to your mercy, for your mercy never fails, your grace never runs dry, and your love never ends. You are our steadfast helper, the anchor of our souls. In you, we find true security. In you, we find lasting peace. In you, we find hope that does not disappoint us.

We pray all of this, in the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray…Amen.

Everyone. Keep on praying, keep on trusting God. Have a great day, and by God’s grace, we will pray again tomorrow. Bye-bye.
